I was watching Bajirao Mastani and thought the marriage through dagger was such a cool concept to incorporate in thorki fics

It's Jotun prince Loki's first visit to Asgard. He has come there for some festival with his older brothers and parents and Thor and Loki become close or something like that. One of those day, Thor compliments Loki's big ass dagger befitting his giant stature and then Loki laughs and conjures tiny replicas and gives them to Thor and Thor is well aware of the asgardian customs but momentarily forgets it and accepts the daggers. Hela is Thor's older sister who wants to get rid of Thor since forever and she sees this as an opportunity, pushes Odin and Frigga for marriage. Loki returns home with a wife/husband.

I feel like with how important fighting is to Asgard knife rituals should definitely be considered

Are we just gonna ignore the fact that in this is the thanks I get King Magnifico says “I let you live here for free and I don’t even charge you rent” suggesting that this kingdom is entirely free housing without any rent for what looks like semi if not detached housing in a nice, safe, clean area? And this is the villain???

Also there’s apparently a man whose nearly 100 and looks like he’s in good condition, suggesting healthcare is dirt cheap if not free and/or wages or pensions are incredibly high so that healthcare is easy to get. Also food prices must be incredibly affordable, alongside heating, clothing and other necessities.

And he grants magical wishes? I don’t care if it’s only 14 a year that still at least one or two wishes a month that better the community and kingdom as a whole. And he respects his wife???

Listen I haven’t seen the movie but let me get this straight. King Magnifico:

• Respects his subjects and listens to their wants and needs intently.

• Grants magical wishes.

• Has free housing Kingdom wide.

• A safe and prosperous kingdom.

• Free or dirt cheap healthcare.

• Helps people in need and likely has centres to help those in need.

• Makes sure everyone’s needs are met.

• Respects his wife.

• Only goes evil cause of some magical curse book that he used cause he’s in a paranoid mental breakdown.

And he’s the villain???? The man can be vain as he wants if I’m getting a year plus of maternity leave fully paid and in a safe area where I’ve got no bills to pay so all the money can go to my family.

There’s something so cozy about Christmas horror movies. I used to be put off by that subgenre because it felt distasteful to me, but now after watching a few, they’re like the wholesome Christmasy vibe and set/wardrobe but with a plot I actually care about.
