So... I have this crazy future/fankid/adult characters au(?) and I might as well share it here.

It starts mainly with Metamy, Amy is a baker with tattoos that sometimes goes into Muder She Wrote-type stories with her redeemed cyborg husband as they both learn how to be parents of their accidentally-created cyborg daughter M.I.A. MIA was created by an even older Eggman after a mix-up of Amy's ADN with the formula he had to create an organic Metal so it ended up as a mess that have not use to him, he proceeded to give the cyborg child to Metal and Amy and so they are parents now! *they grow naturately with time as a sentient learning cyborg.

Then we have the sonadilver golden boy: NOVA!

Nova is a mobian that was born out of a massive space phenomenom that Sonic, Shadow and Silver restrained in their super forms (he is basically a compressed star.)

He has aerokinesis: He can float, get aceleration and bend air at will.

Nova is also a MASSIVE TROUBLEMAKER, he is a dj (like arts and music) and is kind of an extremist performer with too much power and confidence for his own good, seeking trouble and causing problems for the fun of it because he is certain he can fix things (he abuses of the chaos emeralds a LOT)

But he is kind of a superstar because of it and the way he goes against the current Eggman Empire. wich lead us to...

SAGE is the new princess in charge of the Eggman Empire and the whole Eggnet.

She is following the steps of her elderly father and fulfilling his job and evil vision updating and "growing" over the years. By proxy, she is MIA's aunt and also NOVA'S #1 nemesis.

Nova wrecks stuff to the core and let's the chaos emeralds have nature take over it because she is even more poisonous than Eggman and grows all the time as a dangerous virus. *They respect eachother above anything else tho.

!! THAT IS THE START OF THE MASTER THREAT FOR NOW !!

I have other fankids and more lore to make, but that also means more characters to design and more stuff to draw so have patience with me. You are free to ask away anything you want about this tho, that would be fun <3

Do your fankids have special family traditions for Christmas? If so, which ones?

Hmmmm... Not entirely sure. I mean, all of them celebrate Gyftmas, as opposed to Christmas, which was actually in the game and is a holiday of giving gifts as an apology to Gyftrot after a bunch of teens decorated them. The holiday's are very similar, so it doesn't really matter.

I suppose with the Blook kids, Papyrus still regularly hosts the annual holiday party, which Broadway, Rexi, Playbill and Chicago sometimes help with. Broadway's favorite part is decorating with glare Dadaton, Rexi enjoys picking out the playlist, Playbill enjoys cooking with Papyrus and coming up with some gizmo or other to help, and Chicago likes helping with the Holiday Maze.

For the DF kids, I can't think of anything too special they'd do. Mostly just imagine Toriel making Gyftmas pies. Sariel likes to help bake them, while CK's favorite part is eating them.

The Pisces family (Alphyne) would likely have a binge-fest of different anime holiday specials leading up to Gyftmas, where they'd watch the Mew Mew Kissy Cutie Christmas Special on Gyftmas Eve. I also imagine on Gyftmas Day, they have an ice hockey match. Usually just between Giko, Naomi, and Undyne though, since Izuku and Alphys aren't the biggest on sports. The kids might invite some of their friends over, and Undyne might invite Paps over.

For Britni's family, Catty and Bratty go all out both at home and at Trash Mart. Britni finds it a little irritating to be honest, but she enjoys making upcycled ornaments and hand-crafting gifts. Britni's family always hand-makes gifts, not necessarily because they're cheap, but it's more fun that way. Britni also regularly enjoys comparing the similarities between Gyftmas and Christmas, and studying some of the Pagan origins of the holiday. As well as constantly wondering "How/why did they insert Jesus into this?"

Wilbur spends a lot of the Holiday season with his Pops, Asgore, as well as with Noelle and Exriel, as those two interact with the old goat man the most. As a result, Wilbs has a few Gyftmas traditions. He, Exriel, and Asgore try and fail to make cookies, Wilbur often creates gingerbread houses with Noelle, Asgore finds ways to let Wilbur be "Santa's little helper", Exriel gets Wilbur's help with winter gardening in the greenhouse and some of his botany experiments, etc. All of it leads up to Gyftmas Eve where Wilbur spends the day at Noelle and Suzy's house until later in the evening when they head to the Gyftmas tree.

All of them though share one tradition that's a special Gyftmas tradition from all the way back in the Underground. On Gyftmas Eve, everyone will gather around a big tree that the whole community helped decorate and exchange presents. It's become a big an extravagant event since the Monsters have come to the Surface. Now the exchange works by throughout the season, people will leave gifts for people under the tree. Both for their friends, family, loved ones, and even a few unmarked ones to go to anyone who didn't get any gifts from anyone else. On Gyftmas Eve, Santa (who's definitely not just Asgore in a costume) will sit down and read out the names so people can come up and receive their gifts. It goes in alphabetical order and it's a big event, so he usually doesn't get through the whole list before he has to go, but he still tries. After he inevitably has to leave, people are allowed to just grab the gifts themselves. With the assistance of Santa's helpers so nothing bad happens. People are also allowed to pick up gifts all the way until January 6th when the tree comes down and any unclaimed gifts are donated to charity.

Uhh hey so

I kind of want to make some Cookie Run fankids, so if anyone has any requests for what ships…I’ll do it. So long as the ship isn’t weird (you know, no incest or ships with adults and children)

I feel like this is an…odd request from me, but if you’ll indulge me

So when I first really started getting into the Internet and fandoms, I think the main ones I got into were Sonic and My Little Pony, and both of those fandoms, at least at the time (this was around mid 2010s), I’m pretty sure people know that fankids are pretty common in both fandoms. I also saw art for Ninjago that had fankids (though I think it was mostly MaylovesAkidah), so I just assumed that in fandoms, it was just commonplace to draw fankids of the characters you like

And I know for Sonic, I did just that, I made a whole plethora of fan kids. Heck I even have some old art of all my characters (if you ever want to see it, I’ll post it, for a while it was like my magnum opus). I remember I think I also did this for My Little Pony, but it was a few years later and mostly for fun, but I know I definitely also did this for Ninjago. Honestly my Sonic and Ninjago fankids were some of my first real characters to make and they hold a special place in my heart

Later on, I realized that this isn’t a thing all fandoms do, but it’s still something I enjoy, it was basically my roots.

Only problem is, I’m usually not in a fandom where something like that is really feasible. Take Professor Layton for example, you can’t really do a lot of fankids for that fandom, since there really isn’t that many ships. Though I think another part of the problem is that as time goes on, I find myself shipping less and less. Yes I still like ships, but I tend to not personally have ones that I ship (it might just be my indecisiveness, it might be because I find myself less and less interested in romance in general, it might just be in this particular case that I always feel like I don’t know the characters well enough to pick one or the other). So in general I just don’t don’t make them anymore, though I still love to do it

Here though, with Cookie Run, I do have a fandom where this is feasible, it’s just that I don’t know what to make art of. Plus to be honest, I’m a little intimidated, since in my head, it’s a bit of an odd thing, especially for this account, since I’ve never done it on here, but I thought “might as well just put it out there”

So I’m just asking for ships for fankids to create

This is about the post you made asking to send you questions about fanfic tropes! I'm excited, fanfic tropes are so interesting to me!

How do you feel about kidfics/pregnancy fics? I feel like that's a controversial one. Personally, it's a squick for me, but I'm always interested in hearing differing opinions!

Angst/torture is also a controversial one despite its popularity. I really like angst a lot but I will admit that there are some fics that drew out torture scenes a little too much for my taste.

What about fix-it fics? I'm fine with this one, I think it's completely subjective and depends on the fic. I've seen fix-it fics where I've loved the source material's ending, and other times, it can save a fandom from a terrible ending.

Finally, how about miscommunication? This is another controversial trope and most people will agree that it's a result of lazy writing. How about you? Do you think that miscommunication can be utilized well or do you think it's always a cop-out?

I apologize if I ended up asking too many questions! I'm really interested in your opinions when it comes to fic writing!

These are some great ones, thank you for sending them! 🙏 Even though some of these are sort of listed together I've broken them up into separate tropes because I feel like the nuance of their differences can and does sometimes matter to readers!

Kidfics: I have so many opinions about kidfic. I don't even know where to start. I feel like I could record a one hour long essay on this alone because there are so many subcategories of this trope and I feel a little bit differently about each one. I guess if you want me to expand on anything, feel free to ask. 🤣

I hate fankids. I just...do not like them as a general rule. No offense toward people who have fankids for their favorite blorbos, or even love the concept of fankids, but that specific subgenre just ain't for me.

I'm ambivalent toward stories that are like "the characters are married with kids and this story is about them as a family." These can be really fun stories but it depends a lot to me on the canon, the characters, and their kids—the "family dynamic" if you will. Sometimes this hits right and sometimes it's a huge miss. I feel like if the children are canon children this has a higher chance of hittig the mark, though.

I'm excessively picky about characters and characterization with kidfics because there are some characters I can't stand seeing written as a parent (usually because I find the portrayal chosen for them in that role as OOC). Have I written these characters as parents anyway? Yes, and I regretti spaghetti that choice.

Related to the above: I tend to not read many kidsfics because I just hate how the kids are written or how the parents are written in relation to their own children. (See: Single Parent AUs where the kids are LITERALLY NOTHING MORE THAN A PLOT DEVICE FOR ROMANCE! 🤮)

I'm obsessed with adoption storylines. It's a personal fave. Am I coping with something? Um...maybe. I was literally planning some bullshit about this yesterday wrt Regal.

I also like "oops there's a baby now" stories, but only as a writer (I don't trust others to write my blorbos in these situations).

Generally speaking I like to write child characters, but they HAVE to have a real place in the story and they have to have a believable and reasonable impact on the characters. Like, they're children but they're still characters and should be treated as such. This can be difficult as a writer because you're more or less creating a whole new character, but it's imperative that this be done properly or you end up with characters who feel more like table decorations than people...and nobody wants to read about that.

Lastly, I also very much believe in talking/discussing/exploring the negative (and neutral!) components of parenthood. I like including things like PPD, regrets, characters feeling overwhelmed in their role as parent, parents who need to get to know their kids as people to form a close bond to them, the stresses of work/home balance, and so on. I feel like this is just a very safe environment to talk about those things.

Pregnancy fics: I love writing them but I don't love reading them. I feel like too many authors have obviously never been pregnant or have never been around a pregnant person, and I tend to find those stories hard to read. They also tend to just skip talking about topics that are difficult, and lean into how cutesy pregnancy is (+ morning sickness weeee), which makes me want to shrivel up and die.

There's nothing wrong with liking that, and certainly nothing wrong with writing it, but it's not for me. I tend to lean into more complicated feelings about pregnancy and birth, and I think this might also be related to the fact that I tend to lean into characters who would also by default have complicated feelings about these things.

I think I'm mostly here to just explore how such a big life-changing event might impact a character/characters, not so much for the miracle of birth.

Angst: Used to really love writing angst, and I still do like using it in longer-form stories. That like sad heavy introspection thing is definitely right up my alley, though these days I tend to not write a lot of angst for its own sake. I like it to be mixed in with hurt/comfort and happy endings lmao.

Torture: Very much not up my alley if we're talking literal torture of a character. If we're talking about a more broad "blorbo torture" (i.e., putting guys in Situations That Suck), then sign me up. My stupid ass loves putting guys in situations. I do think this can be taken too far though, and then it becomes unfun to read (and I am not here for what is essentially torture-porn).

Fix-it fics: People who write fix-it fics are braver than any US Marine. I'm generally too lazy to write them myself but I will spew 3,000-word-long essays on how to fix a terrible tv show plot at my poor unsuspecting and innocent friends on Discord.

Miscommunication: Real life is full of dumbass miscommunication on the daily. I don't think it's unreasonable to use it in a fic, but it does have a tendency to feel quite dull sometimes, and I personally won't use it as a writer unless the miscommunication makes a lot of particular sense (and usually has some component of intention to it).

To explain that last point a bit better, I feel like the best "miscommunication" in a story relates to intentionally poor communication, rather than a misinterpretation of something someone said, or a misunderstanding regarding a situation.

The reason I feel this way is because miscommunication is used too often for great dramatic effect, when I think it serves its role best as a quieter sort of drama. People can and do misinterpret one another all the time, and they do leap to conclusions and suffer a misunderstanding, but if these things are done even a little wrong they just feel like cheap drama. Miscommunication that feels more subtle tends to not fall to pieces in the event that the author fails to present it perfectly.

As an example, the RP I'm doing now has my blorbos in a pretty bad situation. Tethe'alla has turned on them in the wake of a tragic event and they've been forced to flee under very poor circumstances and go into hiding. They've chosen to pass this time (that they both know could be years and years) posing as a married couple in a small town in Sylvarant, because it's pretty much the only way they can live in society without looking suspicious...and they very much need to be in society to stay up on what's happening in the world. They're both hiding a lot from the other but it's very intentionally done. They haven't had the time or space to process ANYTHING they've been through, yet. Naturally this lack of communication will cause problems later, but when it does it should feel like a natural progression of their lives and lived experiences—not something done for easy and cheap drama.

Team Miraculous Introduction

Hey all! This is coming out of nowhere.

Basically I had this fanfic chapter about the Lukanette and Adrigami fankids I created becoming the new wielders of the miraculous...And Marinette and Luka’s oldest son becoming the new Ladybug.

I am posting this because @lenoraishere said she wanted to write about him so I felt I may as well post this introduction chapter.

The reason why Halloween is mentioned is because this is an introduction chapter to a Halloween fanfic I wrote last year...Speaking of which that fanfic is still in my files and I do intend to finish it and publish it once Halloween rolls around. Soon my darlings!

So anyways I hope you guys enjoy...This was my first time writing fankids and I will be humble and say this may not be the best introduction.

I hope you enjoy it Lenora...Believe me this doesn’t count as your birthday gift I have something better planned. Then again I realize your birthday is fast approaching and I have lost track of time! Eep!

My name is Leon Couffaine-Cheng. If you haven't heard of me, I am the son of Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Luka Couffaine, otherwise known as Ladybug and Viperion, the protectors of Paris.

The best protectors in the world. But shortly after I turned 15, my mom told me she felt a "sign from the Miraculous box" or something. I still remember it. It seemed like a typical day with my parents and little sisters. Then my mom gave me a devious smile and showered me with compliments when I just wanted to go to school early.

She told me that the box chose me to be the newer holder of the Ladybug Miraculous.

I just didn't get it. I mean, being a superhero sounds cool and all. Still, I don't know why I, in particular, was chosen to be the Ladybug. Or, as much as Tikki disagrees, I call myself Luckybug.

I figured my 13-year-old sister Marina was more suited. She is a fiery tomboy with electric blue hair and long pigtails, and she can skate and bike through anything. But my dad smiled at her and said she was chosen to carry the snake miraculous, Sass. Which she happily accepted.

Then there is my youngest sister Melanie. A beautiful little 9-year-old girl, kind-hearted, mature, helps around the house, and likes to bake sweets.

I figured Melanie would be the new Ladybug since she is Ladybug's biggest fan. She was super close to her Ladybug dolls when she was younger.

But recently, Melanie discovered a connection to the mouse miraculous.

I figured if this whole Ladybug thing did not work out for me, my little sister could take her place. But my parents are already protective of her and would prefer she not be a superhero until she is older.

It was too much for me to take, and I just wanted to go to school and have a typical day with my friends.

I met up with my best friend Masamori first.

Masamori Tsurugi-Agreste. Son of Adrien Agreste and Kagami Tsurugi. Also known as Chat Noir and Ryuuko.

They are the second greatest heroes of Paris, as much as Uncle Adrien and Aunt Kagami hate it when I say that.

Masamori lit up as usual when he saw me and said. "You'll never guess Leon! My mother told me that I was called by the dragon kwami Long!"

Long floated out of Masa's necklace and greeted me with a bow.

I looked at Masa straight in the eye with a sullen face.

"Leon, what's wrong?" Masa yelped.

I was about to open my mouth, and then Tikki appeared in front of me.

"I have been chosen to be Leon's partner!" Tikki said.

Masamori was overjoyed, but I couldn't help but vent to him about how this was a lot to take in. I question why I was chosen instead of Melanie.

We sat on a bench, and Masa gave me a pep talk. "This is a huge responsibility Leon, but I believe you can take it. There is a bigger reason for this, and weirder things have happened!"

As we walked through the crowd of students, I suddenly became self-conscious about the earrings I had to wear.

I covered my ears and said, "My dad can make earrings work, but I can't."

"You never looked better, Leon!" Masamori said.

I groaned under my breath and continued walking.

And then, just when I thought I could catch my breath.

"Leon! Take a look!" Masa said.

Up ahead was the recent transfer student Jinfeng. A beautiful Chinese girl with shiny long hair.

Now I felt even more self-conscious. I just wanted to hide my ears and run away. But I dropped my bag mid-escape and had no choice but to grab it. I had no idea Jinfeng was behind me.

"Leon," she said in a voice that made my heart skip a beat. "I love those earrings. They really suit you."

I turned out of politeness and tried to keep a benign expression, but I felt a big drop of sweat on my forehead and the back of my neck.

"Thank you for saying that!" I blurted out.

I realized it was a bit more frantic than I expected since she stepped back, looking a bit concerned.

Masamori gave me a bit of a push to get away.

"Come on, Leon, we have to head back to class!" Masamori cried.

After school, we met up with my sister Marina and Masamori's 13-year-old younger sister Erina. She is a blonde-haired Japanese-French girl, like someone out of an anime.

She spent nearly an entire summer in Japan and was lucky Marina was still best friends with her. She became the holder of the black cat miraculous. Sometimes we would team up, like my mom and Uncle Adrien teaming up back in the day, and I would joke about her being a cute kitty. Which she replied with, "Shut up, Bug Boy!"

"You're really good at scaring off girls with your cold demeanor, Lee-Kun!" Erina said.

Marina and Erina playfully laughed at my romance issues. Marina and Erina always caused mischief together. At least I had Masamori to get me out of mischief.

"Well, Erina and I are going to hang out tonight," Marina said.

Marina walked away with a skateboard in hand, and Erina had her kendo sword.

"I am not covering for you tonight!" I said.

Marina groaned and shrugged. "Fine!" She spat.

Masamori joined me in walking back to my house, where, as expected, my sister Melanie was watching movies with Masamori's youngest brother, Aiden Tsurugi-Agreste.

A boy mature for his age despite being only 9. Since Agreste-san and Tsurugi-san are usually busy with work, Aiden usually spends time here with Melanie. The two are inseparable friends watching movies here and making baked goods.

Melanie and Aiden looked at us as we came in.

"Hi Mel Mel," I said. "Hi, Aiden."

Melanie lit up. "Big brother!" She held her adorable little hands up. "I am so happy you're home safe. I hope nothing dangerous happened."

I sighed. "Nothing happened today, Mels." Just the way I like it.

"Luckybug is the great new hero of Paris!" Melanie said triumphantly. "Just like Mama was!" Melanie looked so incredibly starstruck.

Aiden smiled. "Yeah, it was great how you saved our school from The Food Fighter."

All I remember from that is bananas in my hair and stepping in gross puddles of spinach.

"I can take you home now, Aiden," Masamori said.

Aiden crossed his arms. "Five more minutes!"

Surprisingly Aiden hasn't felt a connection to a kwami. Which I guess isn't a terrible thing since Aiden is such a good boy, and I can't imagine him fighting anyone. But he is still an honorary member of Team Miraculous, so he deserves mention. That and he has been so good to my beloved younger sister.

Why am I bringing this up, you may ask? Because this Halloween is our first Halloween being miraculous holders. I just hope no weird Halloween akumatization happens that night. I just want to spend Halloween with my friends and my family. That isn't too much to ask for, right?!

"Mel-Chan!" Aiden cried. "I wonder what Halloween is going to be like for Team Miraculous."

Melanie smiled at Aiden as if she was just as excited over the idea. "Maybe the streets will be filled with walking skeletons, talking pumpkins, and ghosts Ai-Kun!"

I was flabbergasted! Melanie and Aiden treated this like this was a fun Halloween episode of a cartoon.

Akumas can make any event weird and freaky, and I am nervous just thinking about what could happen on Halloween night. It could be a scarier Halloween night than we could ever imagine.

Author’s Note: I apologize if this isn’t perfect. Honestly I didn’t care as much about making this pitch perfect because I wasn’t planning on publishing it on my ao3.

But yes I was considering writing a next generation fanfic.....Of course that sounds a bit nervewracking to me.

Yes there is a bit of a history repeats itself thing going on with Leon having a highschool crush...Granted recently I decided to make Leon bi and give him a male love rival as well but in this fanfic I couldn’t find a way to put the male love rival in just yet so I left that part out.

Okay okay...

list of concepts I want to write fanfiction of... some of these ideas have been bouncing around in my head for YEARS!

-Lemontime... if you know... you are a true long suffering Charlie fan... basically... Lemongrab time travel tragedy fanfic. Lemongrab 4 my beloved sad old man.

-Something exploring Lemongrab 1 and 2′s experiences of being experimented on. I just think... that it would be interesting. I have a lot of hcs about this already, and I think it had a massive impact on their dynamic. Would be interesting to explore.

-my super silly goofy fanfic where lsp ends up getting trapped in another dimension by one of pb’s machines and has to try and get back home. And it’s all like... funky aus. Like there’s a dimension where the Bubblegums are a normal family and lg1 is alive (lg2 was never created as the conditions that brought about their creation never happened) and they have a few issues but they’re living happy lives and love each other. And there’s a star trek mirror universe inspired one where everyone is a cartoonishly evil version of themselves. Lemongrab 3 usurped his mother and is being a james bond villain tyrant and like he’s so cartoonishly mustache-twirlingly evil. Like it’s just fun stuff and a chance for me to come up with the most ridiculous and silly aus. Also LSP centric character study got to love it. There’s some alternate universes that are kind of fucked up like one where LSP wasn’t able to save Ooo during Elements and the whole galaxy is a fucked up candy dystopia, and one where Lg2 survived the lemonhope arc but lg1 didn’t, but mostly its fun ones.

-I alsoooo really want to finish writing my Lemonpink fic... it started out as part of a larger thing I’ve now scrapped and is basically about Lemonpink as a character, and then the second half is about Lemongrab 3 trying to cope with the trauma of Elements and how much it fucked with his already fragile sense of self.

-my au... where lg2 is able to escape their abuser... I have an outline for this and everything lol. If you know about this you are also a long suffering follower.

-also I need to remaster... and finish.... my older fanfics... I’m so sorry to people who had to read 17 year old me’s writing. It’s not very good. He did his best though bless.

-AND ORPHEUS MY BELOVED!!! ending out to be one of my fave lumpygrab fics and a really interesting character study for both of them... uses the Orpheus and Eurydice trope as a metaphor for helping your partner move on from trauma. Lots of cool dead body imagery also... and ghost hunting. And just idk their interactions are quite funny and sweet.

-I remembered my old au where I basically rewrite the last arc of the show to have Lemongrab play a huge role. Basically Uncle Gumbald realises Lemongrab is very vulnerable and wants familial affection that Pb isn’t giving to him and uses this to manipulate him. I wrote the first chapter for this and everything lol.

-also I have so many fucking oneshots I need to finish. When will I finish my fanfic about Lemongrab and LSP exploring the caves under the lemon earldom? I wish I knew.

I know Soriel is your comfort ship, but do you have any Alphyne headcanons?

I will admit that I don't spend much time actively coming up with Alphyne headcanons so most of these I thought up on the spot, but I had fun doing so and I hope they're enjoyable 💛💙

I mentioned this on twitter a few days ago but in my headcanons they share a home on the surface with Asgore (bc goat dad and fish daughter content is a blessing), and Frisk stays over on weekends and occasional weeks. they're good aunties :>

not really a headcanon and more just an art detail, but as a result of how I draw blushing with a multiply layer type, Alphys blushes orange and Undyne blushes purple and I love that very much ;v;

Alphys will never not be easily flustered, but over time she does gain more confidence about being affectionate with Undyne. sometimes she even catches Undyne off-guard and makes her do this expression in response:

whenever they go on a date Alphys still does the whole 'I have to give you an item to raise your affection statistic first' thing, and besides the gifts she attempted to give Frisk in-game, she gives Undyne things like cool little inventions or a piano sheet for the theme song of an anime they've watched lately.

in return, the kind of gifts Undyne gives Alphys include anime merch and playing piano songs just for her. occasionally she'll also find a thing related to some complicated nerdy science stuff Alphys infodumped about one time, and even if she doesn't understand it or get it entirely right, it means a lot to Alphys that Undyne listened and remembered it.

they get married in the summer, before the third anniversary of the barrier breaking/the start of their relationship. which may sound relatively quick, but they already knew each other for some amount of time prior the game's events, and I like to think in the first few years of life on the surface some monsters feel like they already waited long enough for freedom, so as a result many don't want to wait around for other big life changes.

speaking of marriage: Alphys is the one to propose. everyone assumed Undyne would be the one to go for it but Alphys found the courage first <3

...and because I can't not do some for my future timeline with Alphyne fankids too:

with my headcanon for how monster babies happen - which to summarise is non-sexual and involves a magic spell to create a 'spark' that becomes a soul - monsters can try to have twins/triplets etc. on purpose, but Alphys and Undyne didn't. the soul spark they created just happened to be strong enough to become two souls, and everyone was happy with this.

as answered a while ago, their kids call Alphys 'Mama' and Undyne 'Mum'.

Alphys and Undyne don't get any less PDA-y when they're near/in their 40s and will still happily yell about how much they love their wife in public. Summer has a typical 'kid grossed out by her parents' affection' response, but Autumn loves fairytale romance stories and seeing his mothers so in love like the characters in his books makes him happy.

their most common family hangouts consist of (child-friendly) anime nights. Autumn prefers reading manga over anime adaptations, but still enjoys watching the latter to spend time with his family.

since both Summer and Autumn are fond of being active, they often go jogging with Undyne while she carries Alphys on her shoulders.

Undyne is banned from making family dinners and trying to teach the twins how to cook. (occasionally Summer will sneak into Mumdyne and Papyrus’ cooking sessions though)

Muriel and Snikker/Canan end up having 6 kids who mostly look like Muriel.

Dimitri & Leo (he/him)

Born 15th July two years after the events of the story, they are identical twins with completely opposite personalities. While Dimitri (eldest twin) is hot headed and quick to anger, Leo is calm, kind and patient.

The boys are the spitting image of Muriel and grow to be an inch taller than him.

Dimitri grows up to become a bounty hunter (much to the horror of their parents), while Leo follows him around as a doctor (only to increase the horror of their parents.)

Fun facts

- Born in the palace fountain - apparently Canan wanted a water birth last minute

- Both had bird familiars, Dimitri a hawk which he uses for tracking, Leo’s is Bawk-Bawk which Muriel found the most amusing thing ever.

- Growing up Dimitri really didn’t want to be a twin and often treated himself as if he were the oldest brother. Leo always gave the outwards appearance that he didn’t mind, but really it hurt him quite a lot.

- Both trained with Julian to become Doctors, although Dimitri ends up joining a gang and never turning up to classes. Leo ends up getting a medical license later in life.

- Both are terrified of the younger set of twins.

Kham (she/her)

Born 1st May six years after the events of the story.

Kham was named after Khamgalai and shares some of the same traits. She grows up loving nature and works diligently to develop her green magic. She is calm, but often comes across as cold and aloof.

She grows up living in the forest and works protecting it from people who would do it harm. This has included beating up poachers and freeing trapped animals.

Fun facts

- Her familiar is a bear called Stephan.

- Could only dream walk, but otherwise could never grasp her mothers void magic. She mostly does green magic like her father because of this.

- Always saw herself as Pavel’s keeper - partly because they’re the only non twins, and partly because Pavel was always really sick as a child.

- Falls in love very easily, loves romance novels and the whole concept of romance but is also very much asexual. Not attracted to peoples physical appearances at all.

Pavel (they/them)

Born 14th September nine years after the events of the story.

Pavel is an amazingly sweet and shy theyby who would lay down their life for the ones they love. They love cooking and have a knack for creating domestic crafts.

They like animals, and nature but as a child were always a little bit sicker than their siblings, so they tended no to get out and do as much.

Pavel ends up taking over the shop from Asra when Asra retires. Amazing at business management.

Fun Facts

- Has a hare lip at birth and becomes very self conscious of their face growing up. Gets surgery later in life but still has some breathing problems because of it.

- Has a whole coven of stray cats as familiars - no one is sure how it happened, but their parents adore them for it.

- Very much ‘Gender is fake’ like Asra. See’s Asra as a role model - probably not a horrible idea.

- Talent at embroidery surpasses Snikker/Canan. She is very pleased about this.

Cora & Sara (she/her)

Born 14th of August thirteen years after the events of the story.

Very much the creepy, telepathic twins. When completing rituals they work entirely synchronized. Strongest magic, but can only do the void magic their mother uses.

Studious and quite. They tend to find company only in each other and must share everything otherwise the other gets upset.

Fun Facts

- Were born in the lake that Asra pulls the reincarnated Snikker from. Premature by two months and coinciding with a full moon.

- Scare all their siblings except Kham.

- Their familiars are ravens called Icka and Riz

- As they get older they tend to communicate verbally only with their mother and father. Very seldom speak to people outside their family.

- They disappear into the darkest parts of lakes occasionally, and say they are going home. Its very ominous.

Hello bas! I know you have a self indulgent self-ship. Truth be told im a bit shy myself but anyway~! How do you feel about self indulgent oc x canon character? More particularly a ship child coming from that? I've been considering posting art of a ship child but also I'm a bit shy and anxious and thus don't know if I should in fear of backlash. Sorry if this isn't the type of 'ask' you really expect or anything and thank you for any input you may have.

Disclaimer: I’m not in the best mood, so I might sound a bit harsher than usual. Forgive this trafalgarised gremlin - it’s not targetted at you by any means :c

To be honest... I don’t really know what kind of answer I should give you. Posting self indulgent stuff - and especially self-inserts - should be your decision because this is the topic which touches your comfort zone. And whatever decision you are going to make, it has to be comfortable for you.

I can tell you tho that there’s nothing wrong with being self indulgent, creating self-inserts, creating self-insert OCs, creating self-ship or OCxcharacters fankids. This is completely normal and healthy fandom activity. I know there’s a lot of shame put on selfshipping and creating original characters because people are assholes for some reason, but from the point of view of a writer - and I don’t write only reader inserts, I have experience with different fanfiction too, as well as with original, not fandom related, stories - I can tell you there’s no difference between this type of fiction and so called standard fandom fiction.

We, creators, are self indulgent all the time. We write about topics which are close or important to us. We put ourselves into characters. We create for fun, we create to deal with our trauma, we create to express ourselves, we create to help others express themselves, we create to oppose opression, we create just because we can and no matter how loud the haters will bark at us, no one will take that power away from us.

(There’s that very beautiful and wise poem about this topic by Polish poet Wisława Szymborska, translated as The Joy of Writing, I highly recommend reading it whole, but I’ll leave my favorite part here:

Is there then a world where I rule absolutely on fate? A time I bind with chains of signs? An existence become endless at my bidding?

I can’t promise you there will be no backlash, because I don’t know every single person who will encounter your creation. But I can promise you the right is on your side. You are valid and you are free as a creator to create whatever you want, as long as it’s not harmful. And honestly, how shipping a self indulgent OC with your fav character and creating kids for them can be harmful? Sorry, but if someone gets triggered by that, it’s their own fault and their own problem.

(I will tell about OC and FC, because people often confuse them, and I don’t know what exactly you meant)

I have the main original story - Spiritverse - which includes most of my old characters (Kliff, Mars, Kian and etc.). In total, Spiritverse has ~30 characters

Another story (i wanted to make a visual novel) I have - Bad Town. There is only two characters - Hooligan Girl and Policeman. And this is a feature, that they have no real names.

The story at the junction OC and FC - Pokejinkas. Why at the junction? Because I add into it a lot of from myself, and you know… How many artists - so many versions of one pokemon they can draw.This is a hard to count them all, because there are still a lot of characters I didn’t draw (they only in my head or in text version). Let’s say roughly that there are ~70 characters, he-he… (Here’s Rory, my Lurantis gijinka)

Let’s get down to the fandoms!

I joined Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom with Varan (and her former owner Martha). Me and @arishynya develop our story, so it living grows with new characters, such as fankids. Meet Tesla, lovely child of Varan and Donatello

Also, we have some salamandrian characters. Mine is Ign'ythe, Suwakh and Hen'Klaoch (also I have a concept of “mad-granny” salamandrian who was somewhat of teacher for Hen)

In Boku no Hero Academia i have the whole class of future heroes (20 characters!) with their curator, one villain and some background characters such as parents of students.

I’m not into Steven Universe fandom now, but I love my fangems with all my heart. I went deep into the Ireland history imagining Turquoise story and I hope that someday I can tell y’all this beautiful story.

The Nail of the Program Minecraft!Minecraft characters are SOOOOO OLD (like from 2013, when I started to draw wow) and went through a lot of redesigns. But there are still Misha, her Enderman friend Cookie and blind boy D.D.! After joining MCSM fandom I created new characters, such as Klim and somebody I can’t talk about right now ;^)

I almost forgot what the question was about woops… Anyway, what have we got - about 150 characters, wow! I didn’t think I have so many of them. (Pssst I have a speciall page for tags of my characters)
