Law has seen how Luffy looks at everyone, with a sunny grin and a boisterous laugh, with happiness and fondness, but never love. never affection of a heart in irregular beat, of sweaty palms, flying insects buzzing your stomach, blood rushing in different areas of your body, of dilation of pupils and more

its never the type of love that leaves the other person breathless, of an electric charge when one or the other gazes at each other for too long, of soft caresses, and soft kisses, of loud beating hearts and loud moans, of sweat or passion or wet smacks of lips leaving and meeting. nothing of that, nothing of what Law craves, nothing of how Law loves.

And the thing is, Law has seen Luffy in a lot of different ways but in his silent observation, he has not seen Luffy fall in love. Yes Luffy can feel love but its a very different type from Laws, something all encompassing, something light, something shared.

Its tender hugs and laughter, of eating together and sharing of stories, its a stable, reliable, comfortable companionship with others that brings contentment and security in ones soul, like a home you come back to after a long day, or a cozy room with blankets around you as the rainy day outside passes by, its something familiar, maybe even familial and something beautiful and special and lovely; but it is not romantic love. its not Laws love for Luffy.

But Law doesnt mind that at all, in all honesty hes always believed that Luffy is fine the way he is, even before he had fallen 60ft under and inlove with the strawhat wearing boy.

Luffy should never be afraid, should never doubt himself and his love for other people. It is as strong as amazing as any type of love that exist, it is something Luffy should never be ashamed of. For it is simply love, just a different type of love. and Love has so many aspects and variations. and every single one of them is beautiful.

the only difference is that Luffy has always loved platonically, and Law, like most of others that fall into the gravitational pull that is Monkey D. Luffy, is in the opposite side of that spectrum. He loves Luffy.

He wants to hold Luffy, he wants to keep him close, he wants to hold his hand, to keep them intertwined, he wants to keep seeing Luffys smile directed at him, he wants to be the cause of that smile. And Law knows that all of these he can have if he simply asks, but the thing is that it doesnt end there.

Because Law wants to be greedy. Sometimes, when hes lost in his own thoughts, he wants Luffy only for himself. wanting to keep him away from everyone else, to keep this little bottle of sunshine only for himself. he wants Luffy to only look at him, to only smile a certain way, just for him, he wants to feel special. he wants to be Luffys everything just as Luffy is his.

and how terrifying is that thought? wanting to keep the sun for yourself, wanting to lock them away so only you could see them.

its frightening, its disgusting, its something Luffy doesnt deserve.

because Luffy is the sun, and Law is simply the moon, hes just a part of the gigantic solar system that surrounds and gravitates around that life giving star. Law is that of a distant rocky satellite, so far away also stealing and basking in the suns rays, not even close to the fiery powerhouse that is Monkey D. Luffy. and Law, like the moon, just wants to exist next to the sun.

he doesn't need to be seen or known, he doesnt need to be given special attention, hes just a lowly planetoid and just getting close to that glorious ball of sunshine would destroy him, so hes content where he is, admiring his bright little firelight from afar, sometimes trying to reflect its rays but most times, just enjoying the feeling of being the suns companion and friend, even as he vehemently denies it. For there is beauty on how Luffy shows his affection to others, and Law loves to soak it all up when he can.

thinking more about it, Law wonders if the flowers only started to grow because he started to want more than what he knows he deserves

is it because of how he yearned for Luffy? how he has wired his brain to keep his emotions underwraps but his body keeps doing the opposite? how his hands brush over Luffy whenever he could, how his touch would linger, how his eyes would linger and how he would sometimes loose himself in the thought, the feeling, the delusions, of what it could be like to be romantically involved with Luffy

maybe the clash between his mind and his heart is what caused these sprouts to grow in the first place.

in a way, the flower that the world decided to slowly kill him is a mockery of his thoughts and his feelings for Luffy. a sun flower. a fucking sunflower is growing out of his lungs and slowly suffocating him.

how fitting that its the one type of plant that cant seem to look away from the sun.

just like him.

What kind of weapons do they all have or powers

PROXIES + O/S VICTIMS

SO. everyone who was ever infected by the operator (proxies, jeff, clocky) has permanently heightened strength, endurance, and senses. so even thin lanky people like jeff and clocky can hold their own against someone like tim. BUT the proxies are obviously stronger since theyre CURRENTLY infected by slendy. jeff and clockys strength is slowly wearing off as the years go by.

this post gets more detailed with the proxies abilities. kates the strongest when in O/S mode, but it completely takes over her mind (which is why she behaves the way she does in game). brians the weakest in O/S mode, but he's the most stable. toby's a special case cuz he seems to keep his mentality in every situation

PARANORMAL

jack is pretty similar. his skin feels like normal skin, but wounding it is difficult. sort of like ghouls from tokyo ghoul ... not impossible to kill, but it is difficult. again, echolocation and thermavision. the keratin in his nails forms AROUND the finger tip and turns into the black claws i draw. it can be cut, but it grows back in 2 weeks.

sally is a poltergeist, so. floating, go through walls, can throw objects, make rooms freezing cold, etc. touching her physical form is almost like trying to touch liquid... like, you can feel it, but your hand goes through it. BUT she can sort of 'solidify' her form (usually so jane can hold her hand, do her hair) but it takes energy.

BEN has pretty much the same powers as sally, BUT ALSO is like. inherently attached to the internet and technology. touching him feels like touching an old box TV, where you can feel the static. this is mostly for the sake of story convenience, but i also make him give off a wifi signal LMFAOOO you could be in the middle of the forest and still scroll the internet if he's close enough. he can also completely dissipate his form and exist within technology.

ZALGOIDS

ann and lulu have crazy regeneration. cut off one of their legs and it pops right back on. lulu also knows where everyone is at all times if it's foggy, since she can sense every water particle. so if toby's hiding behind a tree and isnt visible in sight, lulu can still sense him. ann also has this insanely painful scream but idk if i'd call it a power. its just inhuman levels loud, but not killer

dina is the same with all her senses and regeneration, but she also has a lot of like. her body transforms like crazy. mostly into animalistic stuff like owls, occasionally sheep... doesnt really give her the ability to fly or anything, but is pretty scary seeing blood wings rip out through her back

lazari, AGAIN, has all of those senses and endurance and whatever. her body rapidly transforms into demonic figures. goats and hawks and all the eyes and whatnot. she's probably one of the absolute strongest creeps, but her mind is so vulnerable that the proxies+jack get ahold of her very quickly and she relaxes.

WEAPONS

jeff uses knives OBVIOUSLY. brian and tim like their guns. toby and hatches. clocky and machetes+guns. kate uses her bare fucking hands (and rocks and scrap metal etc....). anns favorite torture toy when she was alive was a hack saw. jane keeps a gun in a gun cabinet at her house, for self defense. nobody else really has a designated weapon preference

I did it for tsumsitter kalim too

and then because i am insane i did his vignette too (MY HANDS HATE ME). im so bad at describing how the tsum moves around. it was repetitive with 'hops'

because i am undescriptive (also the tsumsitter doesn't have a icon as far as i can tell. so most of the parts with tsumsitter kalim i just switched to his dorm uniform one. but for that one bit where he picks up the tsum i set it to tsumsitter. so its just. red. ALSO i KNOW its tsumsitter because i went to riddle's and checked what outfit name they used for him and its Tsumsitter.)

i got lazy and stopped describing when it left. so if anyone wants to go do that be my guest.

anyway i dont know if there's some special thing for when a time skip happens. like when there's a black swipe to signify talking/time skip so. fshuif

and because. for some odd reason i like doing this. i added chapter 5-1, 5-2, and 7-1 of Sam's New Year Sale 2024 (That's Pomefiore's bit, and then Diasomnia's visit. contemplating adding Diasomnia's leave too but my hands hurt). because those are pretty short and dont make me die inside (everything else is so absurdly long and at that point when i feel like stopping i just dont want to leave it unfinished like that yknow?? so i just keep going until im done and then die inside)

i dont think there's a file for the hagoita thingy??? the paddle. thing. i know in some chapters in other stuff it shows images of the item itself. but i looked back to when it was first introduced and there's no image of it showing it. and i tried searching for the file but nothing. so. it prob doesnt exist.

anyway if there's any typos im sorry. its more noticeable on stuff like the name and outfit cuz any typos mess it up, but on text, unless it has that red squiggly, im blind

the only downside is that jack cant do much outside of talking and sneaking stuff around since him just fully popping out his box might blow his cover, you know? doesnt mean he doesnt have the urge to jump out when he sees you getting a little stressed out or overwhelmed about your surroundings or when someone is being particularly cruel

though i dont doubt hes remembering faces; i mean at the end of the day hes still a clown that specializes in torment, do i really need to say what hes cooking up in his brain?

no in cases where you're beginning to struggle hes probably going to try to quietly urge you to disconnect and take a breather

keeps your favorite candies on him at all times and slips them into your hand, probably does the same to any stress/fidget toys you may or may not have.. though i do hc he can just materialize certain things and i can easily see that sort of thing falling into something he can just yoink into existence

very good at reassuring you of your worth and how much you mean to him; this is a general thing but i think he makes it more of a point if self image is something you particularly struggle with

who would have thunk it, the clown with abandonment issues is good at reassuring others that hes not going to go anywhere

update: almost gave myself spoilers trying to see if there were any strategys (specifically for the part with the falling objects. god i hate that part)

so i just wasted time repeating the bossfight AND almost gave myself spoilers!! ..uwahhh

so. since i wasted so much time on martlet. i'll give some personal insight onto how the attack is.

God awful

most of her attacks are easy, *especially* since if you look at the crosshairs, it shows you what direction the attacks will go in/come from.

so all you need to do is just stand there.

with the boxes, you just have to stick to the ground. its safest, just make sure not to get crushed by objects/incoming boxes. the WORST attacks in my opinion would be the feathers exploding into 3 extra feathers attack, and the wind attack with falling objects.

the first of the two is easier, just stay away from the big red feathers and treat it all like a bullet hell.

i still havent figured out a strategy for the wind attack, i honestly just hope i dont get a bad combination of objects and usually heal right before the attack arrives.

but, yeah! i also noticed if you apologize and then attack right after, she seems to skip a line of dialogue and also maybe an attack? its hard to tell.

so yeah! apologies for rambling

the other part of snowdin? it makes sense it exists; we took a different exit out of the ruins, and if you look at the base game, you can overlook a HUGE forest. who knows how many more monsters there are around?

I've been through it all, I understand" where he's familiarising himself with Kang, relating himself to him, remembering how messy his life was when he was a teenager, and using the "I get how teenagers are" line to comfort Kang when he is grateful for being given such a great opportunity

as opposed to "I get how teenagers are, they never want to study, you should just relax all the time" where he's using his understanding of teenagers from what he's seen during his election campaign (this was in the same conversation where he saw his son playing Fifa and kang got hopeful that maybe he could bond with his father, and his father said "ive seen many young people playing it during my campaign". he relates everything back to himself, the election, and general teenagers as a concept rather than as complicated human beings that you should try to connect to if one of them is, oh I dont know, your son?). and the line is overlooking and dismissing the stress of school and being a teenager. and he never once asks his son if he wants to study. he assumes that he doesnt, because of what he knows about teenagers entirely from observing during his campaign. the man doesnt sit down to talk to his son and learn things about him and to help him and give him advice, like a father should. he's never around to do so.

but then coach says such a comforting thing and he words it in the right way and even talks about how he himself was once a teacher, and he understands what kang is going through, even if he doesnt know all the details

5. Killing Bullseye that one time

so, technically this didnt ACTUALLY happen (or itd be my number one lmfao), it was in a dream Matt was having while he was dying. but listen, okay, mike was still so real for this. bullseye was this close to killing Matt and Mike comes outta nowhere, declares his love for Karen Page, and boom shoots the guy right off a fuckin skyscraper how could i NOT talk about this, okay?

4. Being thrown to the ground

listen, he looks good a little roughed up, alright? what are you, a fuckin cop or somethin? aint it my right as a living, breathing, human being to enjoy pretty boys being thrown around a lil sometimes? damn

for reference: the first photo was when he was pretending to be Matt, trying to deal with some mob bosses. one of them got angry and pushed him down. the second was when mike was first introduced in the soule/noto run. bad guys bust into the bar hes at and matt throws him behind cover lmfao

3. this EXCELLENT reintroduction in the 2020 annual

the 2020 annual is when we get mike's whole backstory and THIS is the first panel we see him in. this is genuinely poetic. mike murdock wouldnt exist without first being made-up by matt (and matt pretending to be mike). we all know the story of matt losing his eye sight, he pushed a person out of the way of a van that was carrying toxic chemicals, blah blah

well. here we are yet again. except everythings flipped on its head. mike is pretending to be matt. he's jumping in front of this van to make the guys think theyve hit him so he can help rob them. he isnt saving anyone but he sure as hell is putting himself in danger. it sets the tone for his whole character. its just. yeah. this was fantastic, honestly.

2. his reaction to butch assualting hammerhead

okay so this was the moment in vol 6 that genuinely caught my complete attention. this was the moment i realized just how different and special mike was.

murdocks are known for, well, violence. jack was a boxer, he wanted matt to grow up and be nothing like him. he didnt want matt to fight only for matt to become daredevil later in life. we are led to believe there's almost this inherent violent streak to being "a murdock"

this is after a mob boss meeting, mike is watching hammerhead (a boss) from the shadows, helping butch keep track of him. he lets butch know where hammerhead is. butch proceeds to threaten hammerhead, bash his head into a car, yell at him, then gouge one of his eyes out.

and, well. this was mike's reaction.

this is the first time we are given a glimpse of mike's morals, his values. besides how much he cares for the people close to him, we find out he has an aversion to violence. he's a career criminal, i'm not saying he doesnt know how to throw a punch, but he goes out of his way to avoid it.

he's repeatedly shown to be a voice of reason, a mediator, and every time a violent solution is brought up, he immediately protests and wants to figure out a different way. that's fascinating to me.

he's breaking the mold of being "a murdock" in the most unexpected way. we think he must be so much like jack to so easily get involved in crime (with even jack saying so himself), but here we are shown that's wrong.

i wish we could've gotten his and butch's convo directly after this. also, another thing, mike's reaction to people he cares about doing something he doesnt approve of isn't to get angry, it's to worry. which, again. fascinating. admirable, even.

when he finds out matt's "in rehab" he's worried, and yeah a little angry, but mostly concerned for his brother. even after this incident, we are seen mike being very worried later. he's concerned for butch's mental state and wants to stop him from making any rash decisions (ie killing someone)

but, yeah. sorry for the damn essay (and heres another) anyways

trying to save wilson fisk from being assassinated

christs sake hes so fucking gorgeous. also ignore matt being an asshole here because that's all he ever did when mike was around.

this was another very interesting moment in which we see mike's strong morals on full display. we are repeatedly told mike isn't the kind of person to be trusted, he doesnt take things seriously, he's morally ambiguous yada yada. and yet.

as soon as he finds out butch is planning to maybe (which he later find out he's correct about) put a hit on wilson fisk, wilson fuckin fisk, he wants to stop it. mike is under the impression that killing someone is not a line you can cross and come back from. he's deeply concerned about the path his friend is headed down.

In this scene, he's coming to visit foggy in the hospital to talk to him about maybe getting butch out of jail while also hoping to catch daredevil there. he does, obviously.

his full intention is to team up with daredevil to try and take fisk down. mike thinks if he can take fisk down it'll stop butch from trying to kill him.

him going to daredevil also shows his ability to extend his compassion to others. he has no fuckin reason to trust daredevil. daredevil has done nothing but insult mike, yell and argue with him, and even rough him up a couple of times. and still, mike decides to reach out because he knows daredevil is supposed to be a good guy. he also knows daredevil is supposed to be matt's close friend.

he brings it up more than once that the reason he trusts daredevil is because of matt being his friend (despite mike and matt supposedly not being close).

so, yeah, i got a little off-topic, but that's why i love this scene so much. it shows not only how deeply mike cares for people, but also his compassion and aversion to violence. he's trying to take care of his best friend and trust daredevil despite their differences. he's showing how good of a person he is and how dedicated he is to his cause of a "bloodless" coup.

hannibal is quite disappointed to discover that life goes on after death because he was sort of hoping to just. cease existing. and also he's likely to be Punished for eternity, obviously, so he's not looking forward to that.

will is his assigned demon. hannibal tells him that it's probably a lost cause because he doesn't feel remorse for what he did in life and he doesn't expect suffering will change that—he already suffered in life, and that didn't turn him into a good person. what hannibal doesn't realize is that will is always the one given the Special Cases, and he can almost always find a way.

some time later, will asks hannibal if he wants to see mischa. hannibal gets angry, tells will not to torment him. obviously hannibal desperately wants to see her, but he also knows that he can never see her again, and even if he could, she wouldn't recognize him. she would want her brother back, but her brother died with her in the wilderness, and the hannibal that lived on was never the same.

but. will says "that boy didn't die, he's still in you. every part of her brother is still buried in you. you could become him again."

"you cannot rewind time," hannibal counters, "not even in the afterlife."

"no," will agrees. "but you could… regress. i could help you."

anyway supernatural sort–of–coerced age–regression therapy plus a demon will who starts getting way too close to his patient 🙂

it is clear in luke's character and his interests that he values and cherishes objects that have meaning and story attached to them. there are the most obvious examples, with keepsakes from mc, but the one that is more fascinating to me actually is his shop, Time's Antiquities, as a representation of this.

it's still a shop, so he parts ways with the objects eventually, yeah, but the mere fact that thats what he chose is indicative of a deep appreciation for history, for objects of old, because of the past etched into their existence. it's even more interesting that his antique shop co-exists with his general mastery over advanced tech. and that shows that he could absolutely have been a person to value solely utility and advancements in objects, but he isnt. luke does value those things, but there is a cherished place in his life for objects whose main value is less of what they are and more of what theyve been through, more of the stories that they can tell

all that rambling to say that: yeah he totally keeps a hairtie from mc from forever ago JHAVKJHFVAKSFHAVKFH hes a sentimentalist like that and i love him for it. he'd also keep every single gift given to him from people who matter to him: a get well soon card from aaron that he got at the hospital once, a cookbook from artem, some nice pens from marius, a pretty tea strainer from vyn, a whole box just filled with stuff peanut handed to him, all of it

Also Yajirobe and Goku in the originial dragon ball to me is like a geode I havent cracked yet but I can feeeeeel the brewing insanity there.

When watching it my sister pointed out how cute they were and how nice it was that they were working together and all. And that's so true

And then later when Goku was training on Kami's Lookout, Yajirobe was sitting on the Korin Tower railing and looking up and Korin came by and told him that he can tell that Yajirobe must think of Goku as a friend, whether he knows it or not.

Liiiikkkeeeee OH MY GOD CAN YOU FEEL IT? The egg waiting to crack?

Yajirobe's debut in the story. Was so. Weird. He came at a time where everything was in the shitter. Goku was in the shitter. He was at his lowest. He was alive - that's what he was. He was physically failing. He was emotionally exhausted. He was snapped and broken and pained in spirit. But he was unobserved. He was alone, walking, looking for something to eat or waiting to die.

Enter Yajirobe. Hes not a diamond in the rough, hes clearly OF the rough, and we know that we're in the rough too. But he is totally remarkable in his own way. Hes a lump of obsidian in the rough.

Hes not virtuous. Hes not a master who will teach Goku something new. Hes a vagabond. Hes a rat. You know what he is? Hes a survivor.

THATS REALLY what Goku needs at this point in the story. He doesnt need optimism, doesnt need discipline. Later on Mr Popo has to correct Goku's maligned spirit that had been burning too close to the arrogance of evil, and at that point Goku does have the capacity to refine himself; but at YAJIROBE'S DEBUT, GOKU needs to SURVIVE. To just Fucking Exist despite all the pain.

FURTHERMORE, Yajirobe isnt a wise old master, hes a FRIEND! Goku actually TELLS HIM that Yajirobe sounds kind of like the late Krillin. And Yajirobe is able to offer head-to-head skill when he starts running from Goku to protect his one-star ball, like training with Krillin back in the day. And then later they go on an adventure and Goku accepts him totally as he is and loves him anyway.

DO YOU SEE WHAT I AM SAYING ..??!¿¿

Also so remarkable that it's worth mentioning: GOKU, who would NEVER turn down food, not only rejected (not that he was offered) the meal of Cymbal but ADVISED Yajirobe to NOT EAT HIM. He thought that was shocking and rude and sick. He watched Yajirobe put that thing away, mesmerized and adverse.

Listen listen listen LISTENNN Goku and Yajirobe never did anything more with each other becasue their lifestyles and priorities are not only different but almost opposite. BUT Yajirobe hangs around Korin's tower and Goku is always running back for those beans. And Yajirobe will show up at key pivotal moments of battle as well as at barbecues and potlucks. Goku grew up in abject isolation and loves well all of the friends hes made henceforth: all of them he had the volition to choose, and choose he did, and he grew up and they grew up and he loves them all so much. The love he has for his friends is pure. Yajirobe is among them. Goku really sees the good in him, and there really is goodness there too. Yajirobe is a complete loner and doesnt need/want friends, but he definitely is warm on Goku and thinks highly, even dearly, of him. I guess I dont have much proof of that last part but why would you try to deny it. Yajirobe definitely thinks that Goku is a crazy bastard but I think that he also is on some level appreciative of the joy that associating with Goku has inadvertently brung, like the joys of courage and honor and good food and family and his friends' families.

So I've been thinking about this AU where o!Billy is a sex worker. He mostly specializes in helping alphas through their ruts. It's intensive, and dangerous, work but it pays well and makes it so he only has to work a few weeks a year to get the money he needs.

Plus most of the people that hire this sort of service are richer and it means that Billy gets to spend a week away from his father in his client's big fancy houses, even if he usually doesnt get to see much outside the bedroom.

In this AU this kind of sex work is in a legal grey area, and omegas who are infertile/unable to get pregnant can get more work/get paid better. This is because ruts can make many forms of birth control less effective and people that hire these sex workers like the extra assurance that they wont get baby trapped or anything.

Billy has medical paperwork saying he's infertile, maybe bc of an accident or something when he was younger? idk.

Billy's got a decent set up going, regular clients, a good reputation in the right circles, enough money for him to get by and save up to try and get out of his father's house as soon as possible.

But then things go to shit somehow and Neil moves them out to Hawkins (and takes all of Billy's savings).

Billy needs to rebuild his business from the ground up, only this time with no pre existing contacts and in a location where there just isnt as much work. Hawkins has almost none, and getting established with clients in Indianapolis is difficult when no one there knows you.

And with Neil making him pay rent and stuff, Billy gets a bit desperate.

So when he gets a call from someone in Hawkins looking to hire him for their alpha son he is very relieved. When he shows up to the big fancy house for the initial meeting, it does not go well.

There are a bunch of red flags and stuff that is normally an immediate deal breaker for him. Like, he's supposed to be able to meet his alpha clients before they go into rut but apparently the son of the woman who hired him is already in rut. And the parents want to change the terms of the deal last minute, and a bunch of other stuff.

But they're offering a lot of money, and he's desperate. So he doesnt call it off, and he doesn't leave.

The parents ditch before he can even ask them all the questions he has. Something about a work trip.

When Billy heads upstairs to find out that the alpha he's been hired to take care of is Steve, who he already met through school and fought that night at the Byer's, he almost just turns around and leaves then and there.

But, again, he's desperate for the money.

So he stays, and convinces himself that he does it because he already knows that he can take Steve in a fight, and definitely not because Steve seems absolutely miserable and obviously needs someone to take care of him since his parents fucked off to who knows where.

It does not go smoothly. But in the overall scheme of things it does go well.

Steve makes sure that Billy is hired again for his next rut, and that one goes even better. Then Steve asks Billy if he can hire him outside of his ruts too, and Billy probably would have said no back in California. But he's still having trouble finding clients here other than Steve, and he needs to try and save up again if he's ever going to have a chance to get out (and also he likes sleeping with Steve, but he's not going to acknowledge that aspect of it). So he agrees.

Tbh S4 created more questions than answering them. They made it seem like the lab tried to create kids like Henry so many people think all kids powers are from him or something experiment based. But we know Kali was taken from the UK and her origin suggests that other kids probably got taken from other places, their races were also very diverse. Kali must have exhibited natural powers when she was a kid. Then how come the other kids are just experiment based? Because it is not like only Kali was natural. And if she is then it kinda creates a loop because we do not know. Heck we do not even know why she is the only one who exhibits illusion powers but not other kids. And she doesnt have telekinesis. And if the kids powers are connected to the UD, then how does Kali even have powers since she was a kid in the UK? Does the UD extend to other places on Earth or just Hawkins? I guess you can say they are not that connected to the UD but just have a supernatural relation by necessity? Because it is not like their powers only exist bc of the UD, they exist bc of experiments. Like idk what is going on but I think they screwed it up with Kali's plot and it screams like"we didnt know what to do with Kali". Because they just didnt think further.

I think people just misinterpret the "recreate me" line. We must remember how Henry was "created". (at least, to our knowledge).

He wasn't born in a lab and experimented all his life. He faced some kind of hardship, awoke to his powers, trained for a month using his own family as testing dummies, and then killed all but one.

To "recreate" Henry, all you have to do is scour the world for children with similar circumstances as him, see if they have potential, capture them, and then train them using the same methods Henry used to train himself.

I made a gifset of it before, but this moment is a great example of what I mean:

Henry trained using animals and whatnot, so of course Brenner would force his test subjects, especially El, to do the same. To his surprise I'm sure, El didn't need to do all that to get stronger. She skipped right to kill the assholes who tried to lock her into the cell.

As for Kali's powers, we can't say for sure if she has telekinesis, but telekinesis and "finding" people obviously wasn't her strong suit. She specialized in illusions. I remember it being explained outside the show that all the kids have similar powers, but some excel in some areas and are weak in others.

We can see this play out when Brenner forces them to fight telekinetically. We never see most of these kids perform any telekinesis, they got pushed away immediately. Telekinesis was probably 002's specialty, so you can imagine his anger when El upstaged him in his own specialty.

We also have a glimpse of 010. He's very good at finding people it seems. He's the only kid we witnessed doing this other than El and Henry.

So it's safe to say, all these kids were quite talented, including Kali, but none of them were a jack of all trades like Henry. Which is why Henry preferred El, because though she was lacking the illusion power, she is also a jack of all trades and even had a power he didn't. (not that he knew that until she blasted him to another dimension)

There is no indication their powers are from the Upside Down. I see people say that a lot, but I just don't see the connection there? Maybe people are pulling from some d&d lore that I'm unaware of where "magic" comes from a specific dimension?

I believe powers just exist in the world of Stranger Things. It's very rare and some people will never even realize they have powers and continue to live an average life. The experiments didn't create these powers, they just pushed them further along, like training for a sport. With these powers, you can access other dimensions parallel to ours, but it doesn't mean powers come from there.

Just my thoughts.

✈️ AIRPLANE — does your oc like traveling, or do they consider themselves a more homey person?

see the thing is he does NOT have to travel. ever. he generally just. materialises wherever he is needed at literally any point in the day. so realistically he Could do that for simple things like. running errands. thats literally all he would use it for he has nothing else to do actually. ANYWAY. the materialising at will thing takes a LOT of energy, especially if he does it very often, so while it would be kind of more convenient in the long run, he would much rather just spend hours or days driving to his destination whenever he gets the free time to do that. keeps his energy in check. makes him feel a little more Human again. yknow. getting stuck in traffic. needing to stop for gas. the little things. he needs that more often than he would ever like to admit.

he is Undead. sort of. thats like. the best way to describe it. kind of a ghost??? but also not really. he exists in the same way we exist. but he also exists on an entirely different plane of existence. on his days 'off' from work [walking people through the journey between life and death. simplest way to describe it] he is basically. stuck. in this plane of existence. not necessarily powerless, like i said before he can de/rematerialise at will which is very useful for getting out of. sticky situations. which he finds himself in a lot bc he's insane and sometimes forgets people can actually both see And perceive him in this reality so he cant just. steal whatever he wants from a store. he can also communicate telepathically/read minds - which is very useful for getting a sense of how someone feels when theyre dead so he knows how to deal w them. even though he is the same with literally everyone he encounters anyway regardless. he's an asshole <3 and i hate him. these also drain his energy but to a lesser extent. and he can and will use these to cause problems on purpose.
