I have a lot of femslash ships for pokemon, and I've always been a multi-shipper. I can just as easily ship Hilda x Bianca as I can Hilda x Rosa or whatever. But something interesting has happened with Scarlet and Violet. Apparently, in my brain, Paldea is the land of lesbian polycules.

It's not that I ship both Dendra x Miriam and Dendra x Tulip, it's that I can't help but ship Miriam x Dendra x Tulip. And it's not just them!

Juliana x Penny x Nemona just seemed obvious to me after beating the game. But also, given their devotion to her, Eri x Penny x Mela.

So I'm planning to write a story that has all of those! Yes, Penny gets to be part of two polycules. Everyone is aware of the situation and consenting to everything. Plus Carmen is also dating Eri (again, with everyone fully aware of everything, no one is cheating on anyone).

Also have Geeta x Rika and Raihan x Sada, but that's pretty nothing odd. But who knows, maybe those will end up as parts of polycules too once I learn about DLC characters.

Selene, Lucas’s younger sister, is used as a bargaining chip in the final battle; though she ends up getting trapped in the Distortion World during the events with Giratina. 

BW

Touya and HIlda meet in the Train Station, and begin traveling together after they keep meeting each other over the main storyline.

Hilda frees her dad who has been forced to work on a genetics project for Team Plasma.

BW2

Hilda has joined Interpol instead of traveling the world to look for N. She is still looking for him though, and has been largely off the radar, even to her loved ones.

Cheren and Bianca have been in contact with each other, even if Hilda has been busy.

Nate is invited to Aspertia by Bianca to receive his pokemon with Rosa and Hugh. 

Rosa forces Nate to travel with her, as she sees him agreeable company and doesn’t want to travel alone. 

Hilda and Roy (Hilda and Nate’s dad) make a few appearances through the main story in relation to Interpol business.

Touya makes even more appearances, and is the one to give Nate the Nature Preserve Permit he originally got from Juniper.

Serena comes from Galar originally.

Sina and Dexio are Interpol agents that work in close relation to Professor Sycamore, and hide their true roles by pretending to be his lab assistants.

Team Flare is more fashionable, and is associated with popular celebrity figures like idols and hosts. (Like Malva) They’re not seen as much of a threat at first as they are a trend, but as the mentality of beauty in a new world becomes more solidified through the story, its more cult-like qualities come out. 

Serena hides her identity with a persona called X after becoming Champ in all public settings, including the festival at the end of the game. 

USUM

Selene is sent by her mother, Akari, to stay with a family friend (Terra) and her children to participate in the island trials.

She meets Elio, who volunteers to travel with her and act as her guide to Alola.

Dulse, Zossie, Psycho, and Soliera are all present in Alola and help Selene and Elio throughout the main story.

Lusamine has had a brief encounter with UBs before (a wormhole opened that let loose some Nihilego as well as some taking Mohn), and has kept a rehabilitated Nihilego from that encounter on Aether Paradise. Since that encounter, she hadn’t been the same, and became obsessed with UBs and beauty/perfection. The more she learned about Ultra Space, the more she wanted to be the one that could travel and control it and the worlds inside of it. This later spurred her desire to take control of Necrozma, who she saw as the king of Ultra Space.

She also merges with her Nihilego to fight Necrozma.

Altar ritual took place at sunset, and two cosmogs evolved.

Ultra Megalopolis is VERY large, but is the only surviving city on their world since the light disappeared. 

No one catches Necrozma in the main story. Colress shows up in different manners related to UBs but does not give Selene the Necrozma possession machine.

Lusamine dies in her encounter with Necrozma, despite many warning her to stop before it was too late. 

Gladion leaves to train in Johto.

Hi, my name is AJ, but you can call me whatever you feel like! I’m 19, and I’m trying to garner enough writing experience to maybe some day open up commissions. This blog is centered around Pokémon, so if you want to see something, leave an ask!

ASKS are always open, for any requests! It could be headcanons, a oneshot or maybe something a bit longer.

I specialize in writing ficlets on the fluffier side of the spectrum, but sometimes I will take up angst. Smut is out of the question, because I’m uncomfortable with writing that kind of content.

I think it’s Pokémon’s fault for getting me into reading fanfic? I’ve always been a big fan of the series since I played Soul Silver before I was in my 10s. One day when I was in middle school I was browsing deviantart and lo and behold a Rosa x Hugh post was before my preteen eyes. I clicked on it and it eventually spiraled into me reading my very first x reader (I think it was Germany or Prussia) so here I am today, a lusty bitch simping over a religious character who enables my breeding kink -👁👄👁

Just wanted to share a little bit of writing excellence on my part

So for about five years now I've been working on a Harry Potter x Pokémon crossover that I've been aptly calling Pottermon

I have decided to remove Pokémon entirely from my story, as there's just too much to work with. I think I'll also remove the Potter from it as well so I can go about publishing my books in the traditional way.

I'll still use magic coming out of HP-style wands, but with different spell-casting methods. Instead of Pokémon, however, I'm going to put all my focus on Australia's native wildlife and give them elemental bending capabilities a la Avatar: The Last Airbender.

(The only thing I really want to keep from Pokémon is the idea of Poké Balls. Which I'll probably replace with these things called Light Bows and Light Collars that I created when I was fourteen and that probably need reimagining.)

Instead of quidditch being the main sport, it'll be a sort of catch-and-release game with these Light Bows and still on broom sticks.

The characters I imported from Pokémon (Rosa, Nate, Hugh, Bianca, Cheren, N, Hilda, and Hilbert) will remain the same. Their Pokémon teams will, however, be replaced with Japanese native species that have been magicked to have the bending abilities. (By magicked, I mean that each species as a whole will have the bending abilities, like how the sky bison, badger-moles and dragons were air benders, earth benders, and fire benders.)

I have no idea what species they will use or what I can even use to replace Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem...

My brain is trying to do things with varying degrees of success, as you can probably tell.

Colress x Ghetsis: Sorry to start right away with this, but...  F . NOTP for me! I really dislike this ship, first because the way I hc Ghetsis, it’s kinda hard to imagine him dating another person... Specially Colress. The second thing is, to me Colress really dislikes Ghetsis, and I really can’t see it any other way... Even though I disconsider USUM as canon, Colress actually says that he hates Ghetsis in the end of that game, and I kinda feel like that would be canon for me. So yeah, I can’t really ship them. Of course, I understand people who do, after all, there are plenty of other interpretations of the characters, this is what HCs are for! ^^ But I personally really don’t like it.

Maxie x Courtney: Now that’s a B! Really cute! ^^ I mean, I don’t ship them, because I ship Hardenshipping very intensely, so to me there’s nothing better than Archie x Maxie. But it’s actually pretty adorable to think about Maxie with Courtney. I feel like their canon personalities match a lot, at least the ORAS version of them, to me they seem to be both pretty rational and contained, but both can become explosive in order to reach their goals. I like it! ^^ Even in my headcanon, where Maxie is married to Archie, I like to think that Maxie and Courtney are really close friends!

Cheren x Bianca: This one is a D, I’m neutral. I guess one of the reasons is that I’ve never had really strong feelings for Bianca. I’m kinda neutral towards her... And I really like Cheren, but I used to kinda ship him with Hugh (Hyu), the rival in B2W2. I guess it was because they were both rivals and I thought both were really cute... IDK. Anyway, I have nothing against shipping Cheren (or Hugh btw) with another person, so I’m pretty neutral towards this ship. Also I find it pretty plausible! :)

Lysandre x Sycamore: This one is an A+! OTP! I also ship them and I really love them together, I like their contrast, I like how they are different but still manage to be so close, and I like to think that this is because they really love each other. ^^ Also, I am unable to conceive any headcanon in which Lysandre is not gay XD (joking, but I really like to hc that he is gay). Still, I really wish Sycamore had talked a bit more about what happened to Lysandre in game, or at least been a bit more concerned. But meh... :/

Touya (Hilbert) x N: Right, I’ll give this one a C but it’s kinda hard to explain why... Because I ship N with Hilda, the female protag, so why not shipping N with Hilbert, the male protag? It’s not like I can’t think of N as gay, even though I hc him as straight. I’d have no problems with a gay N... But for some reason, the male protag seems less interesting to me than the female one! I can’t really explain. It doesn’t really appeal to me, personally, but it’s not bad, after all, in a male protag game-play, their interactions would be just like Hilda’s interactions with him.

Touko (Hilda) x Whitley (Rosa): I’ll give this one a C as well, I think it’s not bad, but I don’t hc them together. I actually ship Hilda with N (as I said before) and Rosa with Roxie (That is, Homika, who I consider must be around Rosa’s age, like 14 to 16). So I don’t really ship them, but it’s not bad, I might like some cute fanart of them or something. ^^

Man, I thought I would always be heroine x rival 4 lyfe, but looking at the tag on pixiv, either I’ve slipped or they no longer understand which characters are the rivals.

For me, it’s the primary character you battle throughout the game with the opposing starter(s) from you. There are other rivals, yes, but this is your primary rival. This list includes: Blue/Green, Silver, Brendon, Barry, Cheren, Bianca, Hugh, Calem, Shauna, Hau, Trace, and Hop.

Pixiv seems to believe that rivals are exclusively sexy semes and/or tsuderes, specifically ignoring actual canon portrays (sometimes which indicates that the heroine would be the real seme). This list includes Blue/Green, Silver, Barry, N, Hugh, Gladion, Trace, and Bede. (Brendon and Calem, too I think, but they have their own tags being protags as well)

Maybe I’m just getting older and my taste is getting more refined, but I can’t imagine all of those ships being portrayed as exactly the same and still enjoying them. Like, no. Not every heroine is a blushing uguu waifu. I get that it’s mostly self insertion, but people who keep portraying Hilda/Touko as a delicate flower make me want to projectile vomit in their mouths. Especially that one person. N is not a seme, hun, you’re deluding yourself. I doubt he even knows what a sex is.

On a slightly tangential note, wtf is up with the popularity of Hilda/Rosa over Hilda/Bianca? Like, the latter actual get game time together? They’re literally best friends. Hilda/Rosa are just both hot.
