I just had a thought on how I think Jujutsu is gonna end. Everything fits together this way.

Spoilers below this cut in case you’re not caught up on the manga:

It just dawned on me what might happen. Oh my god.

So Sukuna is currently inhabiting Megumi as a vessel. Satoru is fighting Sukuna while he’s inside Megumi’s body, and he said he’ll “worry about Megumi once Sukuna’s dead” but I think he has a different plan.

I think he’s going to wear Sukuna down to the point where he needs to make a choice, and Sukuna will in turn be forced to inhabit Satoru’s body, freeing Megumi.

This makes sense because

A) Satoru does not want to kill Megumi and he’ll find any way he can not to

B) if Sukuna were to go back inside Yuuji it would just be a death sentence to him all over again, which Satoru also does not want, because he even hid the last finger himself to indefinitely prolong Yuuji’s life

WAIT, as I wrote this I figured out how Satoru is gonna do it. He has the last finger. He’s gonna eat the last finger.

That’ll force Sukuna to leave Megumi’s body to have the last of his power inside Satoru. But Satoru will suppress him and go on to fight Kenjaku.

He will then mourn Suguru’s body properly by allowing it to kill him. It’ll probably be a mutual strike where they take each other out, although I also think that somehow, like in Shibuya, Satoru will be able to call forth Suguru’s consciousness so we can finally have our answer to what Satoru said to him before he died.

And then together, they’ll die, Satoru taking Sukuna with him so that Yuuji and Megumi are both safe, and joining Suguru on the anniversary of his death, December 24th, the most romantic day of the year.

(Edit: this theory makes even more sense because how did Sukuna possess Megumi? By making him eat a finger. Satoru will do the same thing, only on purpose.)
