GET TO KNOW YOUR BL MUTUALS
Tagged by: @yugiohio @wintersolaar @myfirstisthefourth @ommited-miscellaneously @gillianthecat AND @pharawee
This is my second time doing this one!
Simple, answer the questions. @ some people. Include the tag 'g2ky BL mutuals 2022' on your post so we can find everyone's answers!
what have been BLs that took you by surprise this year?
Triage the Series: It's literally the only series I've ever watched with a time loop and it was insane from beginning to end. Had me on the edge of my seat and I was very excited to see TaeTee together again after we got played by 2MOONS.
Tumblr media
Ghost Host Ghost House: I didn't know what to expect, but damnnnnn not only was the series a tearjerker but also so freaking soft and romantic. You find yourself crying about the tragedies and then squealing about the romance budding amidst the pain.
Tumblr media
Blueming: Such a refreshing series. It felt the most like what it was supposed to portray. It was so simple and yet damn near perfect. The series felt the least like a BL, kind of sidestepping a bunch of tropes and making them seem more realistic. IDK how to explain it. Hwang Da Seul is just really talented.
Tumblr media
Secret Crush on You: Once you get past the cringe that is eps 1-3 then you start to realize that the series is kind of epic with great representation and support and dialogue. It's a relatable series with relevant content.
Tumblr media
Takara-kun to Amagi-kun: I wasn't expecting to love those boys so much. It's another simple series that left a huge impact. They really showcased what a first real love is supposed to be like.
Tumblr media
what have been BLs that you felt a bit disappointed with this year?
Check Out the Series: WHACK!
The Eclipse: It just didn't hit for me the way it hit for everyone else.
Coffee Melody: It started off cute! But became boring and the main character became annoying.
Fahlanruk: Again, started off cute, but Fahlan? I couldn't stand him. He demanded so much from Sherbet and forced his way into the man's life. I just couldn't commit to him.
Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss: I mean. It wasn't bad, it just didn't hold my attention.
what has been your favorite BL this year?
Love in the Air: Swooped in and took the #1 spot from KP. It really wasn't even about the plot it was more about the characters for me. PayuRain and PrapaiSky were just amazing couples. The chemistry was unmatched. ALSO NO ONE TOLD ME THAT THE ACTOR THAT PLAYED SIG PLAYED DR. SING IN TRIAGE! That man could act because the stark difference in characters left it impossible for me to notice.
Tumblr media
Between Us: WinTeam FTW. I've been waiting for this series for a long time and it has not been disappointing. BounPrem have come a long way and it shows in this series.
Tumblr media
KinnPorsche the Series: Originally I was only planning to watch KP for JeffGame, but then all that drama went down with the original production company and Game left so I was like NAH BUT THEN I SAW THE TRAILER?? This series is really what popped off Mafia themes in BL. I love some action and romance so I was not let down.
Tumblr media
favorite BL couples (not just of 2022)
CaiReel, KinnPorsche, PayuRain, FighterTutor, PluemKevin, Phunnoh, AePete, TharnType, NubsibGene, DeYi, Hao Ting x Xi Gu, TangFei, Kurodachi, WeiLan, Wangxian, WenZhou, and Yu Zhen x Shi Lei. There are much more but we would be here a long time.
what's your non-BL favorite this year?
Kei x Yaku: I mean technically it's a bromance and I think the source content was a bromance too. The plot was thrilling and exciting and suspenseful. The chemistry was top notch. The action scenes were amazing. Like the entire series was 10/10.
Tumblr media
Heartstopper and Young Royals 2: Queer content but not Asia-based so technically not BLs. Heartstopper has excellent LGBTQ representation across the board. It's sweet and funny and the tackle a lot of topics. Young Royals is on the opposite side of the high school queer spectrum. It's filled with angst and anxiety. Follows up with Prince Wille once he returns to school and has to be in contact with his ex-boyfriend again and the people that helped facilitate their breakup.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gap the Series: I'm loving the girlies. Office romance between a newly graduated young woman and her seemingly untouchable idol/boss.
Tumblr media
MMM that's really it, the only thing I watch outside of BL is reality TV and courtroom shows.
I've done this before so IDK who to tag this time. If you see this do it and tag me!

Going from End Game to Wandavision is very jarring. Steve goes back, risking the timeline, to be with Peggy and get his happily ever after. In Wandavision, which happens shortly after EG, Wanda tries to bring back her lover that died during IW, and she is wrong for it. I realize that there were different circumstances but I feel like the consequences of Wanda's actions should have applied to Steve for going back in time. It should have been harmful to others. But why is Steve the character deserving of rest? Why is he the one who doesn't have to deal with the post blip world?
Wanda had her home destroyed (By Stark's weapons), lost her parents, later her brother and then the man she loved. Why couldn't she have been given the pym particles and gone to a timeline where Vison was alive? What about Banner? Why doesn't he get rest? As of Shang Chi he seems to still be working with the Avengers. Why didn't he get to leave a chaotic post blip world to live a peaceful life? Thor? Give him the particles and he could go to a time when all his family and friends are still alive? Natasha? She was the one who actually worked with the Avengers during the blip and all she gets for it is death. Why wasn't she deserving of retirement?
What did Steve do that the other Avengers didn't that he was the one that got to leave the post blip world? I mean he seemed to be resting those five years during the blip. Peggy wasn't exactly going to crumble up and die if she didn't have Steve by her side. (Although don't give Atwell the idea). They weren't married, they didn't have kids, Steve wasn't the only one she had. Steve was not crucial to her life. So where do people get this idea that CA is the one that deserves rest and retirement? Or that he gets to risk an entire timeline to be with some girl from the past?
I recently watched Infinity Train. Each season is ten 10 minute episodes. In the first season one of the characters reminded me of Steve Rogers had the story presented him as wrong to go back in time. The lesson at the very least should have applied to him. (Which he already came to terms with in TWS but apparently changed his mind on it in EG ugh) I feel like I'm noticing more and more media that gives the message that you need to move forward after a tragedy.
Including: the movie Lightyear, starring Cevans!
(which... it's hard not to read that as Cevans kicking up a fuss, trying to fight back against this stupid ending for Steve, and then being bribed to shut up by being offered an animated voice role?)
Also including: the movie Back to the Future, which they actually mentioned in EG (🤦‍♀️) in which the guy who goes back to the past to force a change in the life of a woman who was happily married to someone else with two kids... is Bif Tannen, the villain.
I haven't seen Loki but apparently the whole concept there is that there are Auditor-like figures (Terry Pratchett ref ftw) whose entire job it is to track down people like Steve who fuck with the timeline and punish them.
So anon you’re totally right, what Steve did was wrong in every other character’s case, but Protagonist Centered Morality means he gets a pass. Doubly so, because Disney want to ram his heterosexuality down our throats till we choke on it and this is the only way. 😔
Y'know who else would've made a great candidate for getting a chance to go back in time?
Bucky!
He had dear relatives he never got to see again because of Hydra; he's the only other character besides Steve who was forced to skip the second half of the 20th century, and if it's possible to change the past and stop what happened to him, he is the person who has most right to do that. But Skrull Steve stole that chance from him.
So they've left us with a Steve who became a lazy cowardly blind-eye-turning house-spouse and creepy imposter, with values diametrically opposed to everything we ever saw, who stole the happiness of every character he came into contact with, and allowed everything bad that happened in the 20th century to still happen.
EG stans will cry ‘alternate timeline!’ till the cows come home about a film which:
A) did NOT show us that Skrull Steve did anything good in the past, but:
B) DID show us Tony giving Howard a catchphrase that og-timeline Howard said to him, as well as giving him the idea for what to name his son??
So this is the same timeline??
What an absolute trainwreck.

i feel like fandom is a lot more chill about the targaryen’s than they used to be? i mean obviously you still have the hardcore stark stans who are like “the targaryen’s are evil monarchist colonizers BTW STARK RESTORATION NORTHERN INDEPENDENCE SANSA QUITN FTW” but on the whole i see less of the “targaryen’s are evil n*zis and if you stan them you are a white supremacist incest apologist” moralizing, and more people acknowledging that they are incredibly entertaining and fascinating.
yeah for sure, though there are still some uncritical stans who think sansa did nothing wrong ever and who like her portrayal in seasons 6 and 7....but anyway, i do see that shift you're talking about, where we are critical of all these houses/people but can appreciate how compelling they are, especially the targs. i will say, it's way easier with hotd to accept the targs because they are the central focus, whereas on GOT we mostly had dany who was often so clumsily written and she felt like a discount targ most of the time

AEW All Out 2022 Review
Pre-Show AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship: Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara (c) vs. Ruby Soho and Ortiz
This was okay! A bit messy at times and I really hope Ruby is okay after that landing on her neck and breaking her nose. I'm kinda over Sammy and Tay right now. I feel like they have the potential to do some really good heel work, but I don't think heel work is just making out? Loved the beginning of the match with Sammy getting hit by a buggie.
Pre-Show FTW Championship: Hook (c) vs. Angelo Parker
I want to touch Hook's hair - it looks so soft. This match was way more competitive that I thought it would be, but it was still pretty good. Action Bronson had a cool run-in as well. All in all, a pretty decent match!
Pre-Show All-Atlantic Championship: Pac (c) vs. Kip Sabian
Kip looks like if 2012 tumblr made a wrestling character, but I love the new gear, the style and everything. He really made this match work so well. PAC is a goddamn beast of a wrestler. I really enjoyed this match
Pre-Show: Eddie Kingston vs. Tomohiro Ishii
Eddie Kingston is so damn good. Such an incredible story teller. Ishii is also just a goddamn beast. These two make magic and I can't wait for the rubber match. My favorite Zero-Hour match
Casino Ladder Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Rey Fenix vs. Andrade El Idolo vs. Rush vs. Wheeler Yuta vs. Dante Martin vs. TBA
At first, hated the finish because I was so into the match and then it clicked..... The Joker had MJF's mannerisms and butt! Excellent match but it was more of an angle that anything. Real good shit.
AEW World Trios Championships: The Elite vs. "Hangman" Adam Page & The Dark Order
Story telling man. The Hangman/Elite story has been so well done and this just starts another chapter in Hangman's character. Being the reason for the loss is gonna fuck with our anxious dude. I am very interested in seeing where this one goes.
TBS Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Athena
I wish they would have built this story up a little more, because goddamn these two can go. Athena is so damn versatile and Jade is so captivating. I wish they had more time.
Wardlow & FTR vs. Jay Lethal & Motor City Machine Guns
This match should have been FTR v MCMG, but it was good. I hate that the TNT Champ didn't have a title defense. Lots of fun spots, but I wasn't invested until Dax's daughter became UNDEFEATED.
Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
I'm happy with Hobb's winning, but it was too quick. I hope this story continues because I want some of that Ricky Starks' kinda chaos we all know and love.
AEW World Tag Team Championships: Swerve In Our Glory (c) vs. The Acclaimed
Match of the night, match of the year. I was pacing in front of my tv the entire time. I could not sit still. I was so hyped that my dog got concerned. Anthony Bowens is incredible. Max Caster is amazing. Keith and Swerve working kinda heel set it off. I need The Acclaimed to win those titles. This is their time.
Interim AEW Women's Championship: Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Jamie Hayter
Everyone in this match is so damn good at what they do. The tension between Britt and Jamie (need this fued now), Shida's come back(s), and Toni getting that win - all so amazing.
Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy
Not a match but a well done angle.
Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho
I had a really hard time getitng invested into this match. It was really good, but I wanted to see Daniel Garcia get involved I guess.
House of Black vs. Sting, Darby Allin & Miro
Really good, but I hope Malakai gets better. That goodbye kiss and the recent reports worry me that he's struggling. I really enjoy this faction. I was hoping to see some storyline progression, but Idk whats going on now
AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. CM Punk
Two of my all-time favorite's had a banger man. They both know how to tell a damn story. I loved how Mox targeted Punk's foot but like just that pitbull energy that man has. MJF's return was a great way to end the show
All in all, All Out was really good. I enjoyed myself. That's what wrestling is about - having fun and I had so much fun!

AEW Fake Rankings, 4/1/2023
Men's singles division - babyfaces
Kenny Omega (IWGP United States champion)
Adam Page
Adam Cole
Jack Perry
Ricky Starks
Wardlow
HOOK (FTW champion)
Konosuke Takeshita
Matt Hardy
Action Andretti
Men's singles division - heels
MJF (AEW men's world champion)
Chris Jericho
Bryan Danielson
Sammy Guevara
Powerhouse Hobbs (AEW TNT champion)
Samoa Joe (ROH television champion)
Daniel Garcia
Juice Robinson*
Jeff Jarrett
Jake Hager
Unranked: AR Fox, Ari Daivari, Darius Martin, Jack Cartwheel*, Jay Lethal, Mark Briscoe, Parker Boudreaux, Preston Vance, Serpentico, Starboy Charlie*, Swerve Strickland
* Not listed on AEW's official roster
The next world title program looks to be a four-way with MJF, Perry, Guevara, and Darby Allin. Whether that headlines the May 28 pay-per-view remains to be seen. I could picture the four-way being on one of the "special" editions of Dynamite, like Mother's Day Mayhem or Earth Day Slam or whatever they might call it. It feels like Adam Cole is being set up for a big babyface push, so maybe MJF vs. Cole will headline 5/28. But for now it's too soon to be sure.
To make room for all these new faces in the world title picture, AEW has moved a lot of the established top guys into multi-man feuds. Omega and Page are separately dealing with the entire Blackpool Combat Club (Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta), while the Jericho Appreciation Society is regrouping against the House of Black. Wardlow is probably going to return to chase Hobbs, but to get there he'll likely have to cut through the new QTV group. Hook seems to be busy beating everybody in the Firm one-by-one. Starks's feud with Robinson may or may not lead to fighting the entire Bullet Club.
AEW has not yet announced a "Blood and Guts" double cage match for 2023, but this is usually around the time of year they'd start setting that up. At this point, they're spoiled for choice as to which multi-man feud to put in the cage, not to mention the whole Outcasts storyline in the women's division. I suppose some of these feuds could be blown off with Stadium Stampede, or Anarchy in the Arena, or Clobbering in Catering, or whatever they call it.
Men's tag team division - babyfaces
The Acclaimed - Max Caster & Anthony Bowens
Lucha Bros. - Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix (ROH tag team champions)
Darby Allin & Sting
Keith Lee & Dustin Rhodes
John Silver & Alex Reynolds
Evil Uno & Stu Grayson
Men's tag team division - heels
The Gunns - Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn (AEW tag team champions)
Matt Menard & Angelo Parker
The Kingdom - Matt Taven* & Mike Bennett*
Varsity Athletes - Josh Woods & Tony Nese
Unranked: Harv Shira* & Gurv Shira*
* Not listed on AEW's official roster
Following the Lucha Bros. ROH tag title victory, I'm still uncertain how much separation we're going to see between the AEW and ROH rosters. It feels like several AEW acts (such as the Kingdom) have been earmarked to primarily work ROH-branded shows, but very few of them have actually stopped being featured on AEW. It may take a few more months to get the brands separated...if that's even what Tony Khan wants to accomplish, that is.
The top two-on-two programs right now look to be the Acclaimed vs. Menard/Parker and the Gunns vs. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler). My hunch is that FTR will win the tag titles and move on to a big match with the Acclaimed. If FTR doesn't win their April 5 title match, they've vowed to leave AEW. Would that send them to ROH full-time, or would they just leave altogether? Either way I have no idea what shape this division will take.
Men's trios division - babyfaces
Orange Cassidy (AEW international champion) & Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta
Dalton Castle* & Brent Tate* & Brandon Tate*
Men's trios division - heels
John Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli (ROH men's world champion) & Wheeler Yuta
Malakai Black & Brody King & Buddy Matthews (AEW trios champions)
Kip Sabian & The Butcher & The Blade
* Not listed on AEW's official roster
The trios division is in flux right now. Everyone in the Dark Order has been laid out by Moxley's group, so it's not clear which of them will be available for a trios match (with or without Adam Page). With the Young Bucks on the shelf, Kenny Omega is torn between teaming with other guys or going it solo. The Jericho Appreciation Society had a trio ready to go, but Sammy Guevara's pursuit of singles gold probably changes the formula. I'm guessing Jericho & Hager & Garcia challenge the House of Black, but that's not certain yet.
I'm a bit surprised we never see Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, and Satnam Singh make a run as a trio, considering they're all inseparable anyway. But then, Singh is rarely put in the ring, so my guess is they don't think he's anywhere close to ready.
Women's singles division - babyfaces
Jamie Hayter (AEW women's world champion)
Taya Valkyrie
Willow Nightingale
Skye Blue*
Emi Sakura
Women's singles division - heels
Jade Cargill (AEW TBS champion)
Toni Storm
Saraya
Ruby Soho
Marina Shafir*
Leila Grey*
Unranked: Ava Lawless*, Nicole Matthews*
* Not listed on AEW's official roster
Aside from Valkyrie chasing Cargill, the women's division now revolves around the Outcasts (Storm, Saraya, and Soho) vs. Hayter, Britt Baker, Nightingale, Blue, and Riho. Assuming Baker's back issues don't keep her sidelined, the heels need a couple more women to back them up. I'd go with Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose, since they're already a duo, and Nyla would end the narrative of "ex-WWE heels vs. AEW originals," which isn't helping anything.
No TV/PPV matches in 30 days, but had a Dark/Elevation match: Aaron Solo, Athena (ROH women's world champion) Big Bill, Boulder*, Brady Booker*, Bronson*, Brandon Cutler, Brian Cage (ROH trios champion), Charlette Renegade*, Christopher Daniels, Ethan Page, Isiah Kassidy, Julia Hart, Lance Archer, Lee Johnson, Lee Moriarty, Luther, Nick Comoroto, Nyla Rose, Peter Avalon, QT Marshall, Riho, Robyn Renegade*, Sonny Kiss, Zack Clayton*
No televised AEW matches in 30 days: Anna Jay, Anthony Ogogo, Bandido, Brian Pillman Jr., Britt Baker, Brock Anderson, Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, Fuego Del Sol, Leva Bates, Luchasarus, Madison Rayne, Matt Sydal, Michael Nakazawa, Miro, Ortiz, PAC, Penelope Ford, Red Velvet, Rush, Satnam Singh, Scorpio Sky, Serena Deeb, Shawn Dean, Shawn Spears, The Bunny, Trench, Yuka Sakazaki
Part-time/Semi-retired: Billy Gunn, El Hijo Del Vikingo* (AAA mega champion), Jeff Cobb*, Kyle Fletcher*, Mark Davis*, Mark Henry, Mark Sterling, Paul Wight, Paige Vanzant, Rebel, Stokely Hathaway, Sonjay Dutt
* Not listed on AEW's official roster
Inactive
Abadon (shoulder - collarbone fracture)
Andrade El Idolo (left shoulder - pectoralis tear)
Christian Cage (storyline - "buried alive")
CM Punk (left arm - triceps tear)
Colt Cabana (unspecified injury)
Danhausen (right shoulder - pectoralis tear)
Dante Martin (left leg - unspecified injury)
Eddie Kingston (storyline - "quit" AEW, jumped to ROH)
Griff Garrison (unspecified injury)
Hikaru Shida (finger - unspecified injury)
Jeff Hardy (suspension - DUI)
Kris Statlander (left knee - ACL tear, lateral meniscus tear)
Kyle O'Reilly (neck - herniated disc)

Oh shit!! It’s All Out night babyyyyy And here’s my predictions:
Firstly I want to say, I am holy fuck hyped for All Out 2022, BUT I feel like the build is so very hit and miss, which is becoming a prevailing problem within AEW. On the one hand ALL of the grudge matches (ironically all non-title go figure) have super builds behind them as does the triple tag team title match (literally years of story-telling colliding), but pretty much ALL of the title matches, especially the main event, have sweet FA leading into them - don’t come at me saying Mox/Punk has good build, it has WWE circa 2014 build, aka really lazy and boring rinse and repeat.
But anyways, starting with the Zero Hour pre-show:
Tomohiro Ishii vs Eddie Kingston 2
Now let me tell you something brother!! I love me a bit of the Stone Pitbull, but Eddie’s taking this no doubt about it. You love to see it!
Tumblr media
AEW All-Atlantic Championship Pac © vs Kip Sabian
Well fuck me silly and dress me up cute! Two of Britains greatest exports going to slap meat together, you know this is going to be a barn burner and a half! I know Kip is being built back, but this title was made for THE BASTARD. My man is going for the win come on y’know!
Tumblr media
FTW Championship Hook © vs Angelo Parker
Now, I love the JSA because of course I do, and I love Cool Hand Ange, but sweetheart, you know Hook is killing him faster than you can say BAH GAWD.
Tumblr media
I care so little about Sammy right now I’m not even bothering with his match, how’s about a go fuck yourself on that one. Can’t wait to hear the crowd booing like crazy.
AND NOW for the main card of All Out 2022:
Casino Ladder match Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Andrade El Idolo, Rush, Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero M, Dante Martin and the ‘Joker'
Oooooooh yeeeeah, brother let me tell ya WOO this is going to blow all of our balls off like there’s no tomorrow. My head says that Andrade will win, but I personally want my main man Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeyyyyyyy Fenix to win it all, you know you fucking want it, he’s a crazy son of a bitch!
Tumblr media
AEW Interim Women's World Championship Toni Storm vs Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. vs Jamie Hayter vs Hikaru Shida
Now again, this is going to be a mental match brother! And again, my head says Toni Storm is walking away with the title, but screw that I’m going for MY LASSIE Jamie Hayter here we go!! Also I’m totally in love with her so I’ll be hyping her ass up like you wouldn’t believe brother!!
Tumblr media
Jungle Boy vs Christian Cage
Ayooo Christian Cage is MY GUY y’know, me and him go waaaaay back. But I gotta go with my main man Jack Perry brother. He’s gonna beat Cage black and blue brother, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they find a way for Cage to win so we can keep this hype train going. Still going for Jungle Jack though.
Tumblr media
Ricky Starks vs Powerhouse Hobbs YES MY GOD YES I cannot wait for this so much, it’s honestly going to be such a wild match and the crowd are going to be WILD for Ricky Stahks (as JR calls him). This is a beautiful time to be a fan of Ricky Starks because we’re finally seeing him become a MEGA STAR. Whether Hobbs wins or not is irrelevant because the rocket is firmly up Ricky’s ass rn. Also I want him to win if that wasn’t clear.
Tumblr media
AEW World Tag Team Championship Swerve In Our Glory vs The Acclaimed
EVERYBODY LOVES THE ACCLAIMED
Tumblr media
TBS Championship Jade Cargill vs Athena
AYOOO brother! I think it’s finally time to get the title off Jade and give it to someone fresh.....like Athena.
Tumblr media
Bryan Danielson vs Chris Jericho
To quote JR, this is going to be the match of the year I don’t care what anyone says. And I honestly can’t call who’s going to win that’s how damn good and how many moving parts there are to this. So here’s a gif of Daddy Magic!
Tumblr media
Trios Match FTR & Wardlow vs Jay Lethal & Impact Wrestling's MCMG
Need I even say anything...
Tumblr media
Trios Match House of Black vs Darby Allin, Sting & Miro Oh my fucking god good god almighty this is going to be INSANE, blood will be spilled and bones will be shattered, and souls will be redeemed, so sayeth The Druid, so shall be the will of The Redeemer.
Tumblr media
AEW World Trios Championship Tournament Final Kenneth BY GOD Omega & Young Bucks vs Hangman Page & Dark Order I can’t even, I just have no words to express any sense of what’s going to go down here. All I can say is that we better strap our asses down as securely as possible. The Elite were always going to win this though no doubt at all.
Tumblr media
AEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP JON MOXLEY THE DEATH RIDER vs CM PUNK AND HIS SORE FOOT
Bro, don’t even question it, Jon Moxley is going to fucking KILL CM Punk yet again, you love to see it! So sayeth The Druid, and so shall it be! And there ain’t fucking NOTHING you can do about it!! Jon Moxley IS PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING.

Prediction queen
AEW all out 2022
Remember these are who I THINK will win not nessacarily who I WANT to win.
Tomohiro Ishii vs. Eddie Kingston:
Singles match:
Eddie
Pac (c) vs. Kip Sabian: Singles match for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship:
Pac but I'm really torn on this one.
Hook (c) vs. Angelo Parker: Singles match for the FTW Championship:
Hook.
Jericho Appreciation Society (Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara) (c) vs. Ruby Soho and Ortiz: Mixed tag team match for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship:
I really don't give a fk about this match but probably the gross couple.

Still think he's gonna win tho.
Toni Storm vs. Dr. Britt Baker, vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Hikaru Shida four-way match for the interim AEW Women's World Championship:

Sansa was always going to be the main queen & the Starks were always going to win out in the end
Is this a...hand meta? Yes, indeed it is. To be fair, this is just my take and it’s something I noticed upon rewatch, 7x02 in particular.
Just a heads up, there are going to be a lot of screen caps below.
Dany tends to clasp her hands in front of her. The first time around, I didn’t think much of it. It’s a queenly gesture, affecting composure, so to speak. But what I noticed is Dany tends to do this when she is in the Queen role. Not Dark!Dany, not Khaleesi (in season 1), but as Queen (main Khaleesi):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Looking further, I noticed that Cersei, Margaery (after she marries Renly, then Tommen), and even Sansa do this as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But in season 8 Sansa tends to do something different that definitely caught my eye the first time around but other than her composing herself in a queenly manner or in a ruling capacity, I didn’t understand just exactly how much this very difference showed a subtle hint to the end of the show:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From episode 2 to episode 6, Sansa adopts this stance. It could be in response to Dany being present at Winterfell at first, just like her wardrobe and demeanor was meant to signal the threat she saw in Dany, but this continues long after Dany is gone from Winterfell, and then even to the dock where Jon says goodbye to the Starks.
As far as I can remember, I don’t recall seeing Cersei, Margaery, or Dany adopting this stance. But I do recall someone else having this stance:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was sort of a joking post about Arya taking over Jon’s story line, that she steps into what Jon’s role would have been for Sansa had he stayed at Winterfell, minus the crown. Sansa and Arya, once reconciled, work very well as a team and that’s shown in 7x07 with Littlefinger and then again in season 8. Arya has Sansa’s back, even standing up to Jon slightly. Her interests (protecting their family) are aligned with Sansa’s. I meant it as a joke at the time but now looking at these, it makes that much more sense:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then of course, they also show Bran adopting that same hands in front, fingers interlaced gesture and we all remember how he made out in the end:
Tumblr media
So imo, this was a subtle hint that the Starks were going to make it out on top in the end, out of every other candidate, no iron throne needed. Sansa would secure the Northern independence and become Queen In the North, Bran would become King of the 6K (that one I never saw coming tbh), Arya would be able to do what she wants to, while Jon would somehow be in the North again.
I also had in my notes that when Dany clasps her hands, not only is she in Queen mode but she’s also trying to portray that role to whoever is around and it keeps her impulses at bay (for the most part) but that is another meta. ;-)
Thank you for coming to my hands Ted Talk.
Bonus:
Tumblr media
I’ve discussed previously how the positioning of Dany and Sansa in the library scene in 8x02 showed that these were two queens going head to head but I failed to include this one. This scene above, while showing the contrast in the reception both women get from Theon, also has them on equal footing, literally and figuratively until Sansa goes to hug Theon. They made a lot of mistakes in this show but the little subtle things were done brilliantly. Their positions are identical, both with hands at their sides, standing neck and neck with a space between them. Two queens. Just brilliant.
Tumblr media
This one I adore even more. While this shot is meant to show ruling capabilities I think (with Dany being Queen front and center) and to indicate that Dany (and Jon’s Targaryen heritage that he now knows about) is coming between Jon and the Starks so to speak, with Dany’s team on the same side as Jon. In this scene though, I noticed their positioning again. Dany has her hands on the rests of the chair, like a ruler does, and so does Jon, but in this particular shot, Sansa does not. For the whole scene, she keeps her hands in her lap. Not only is it showing Sansa is obviously still Lady of Winterfell (now Jon knows he has a birthright to the IT like Sam told him in the previous episode) but I believe this is also another subtle hint for the endgame. Dany believes she has a birthright, a destiny, to lay claim to the IT. Jon now knows he has one (though he doesn’t want it). Sansa is not looking to be Queen, only to retain her title as Lady of Winterfell and to hopefully get Jon back his kingship in the North.
Like I said above, this show got a lot of things wrong in the end, but these little subtleties (is that a word?) are brilliant.

If all of these things do not pay off in the series finale, then there is no point
If Jon has no variation of Political!Jon or Sacrificial!Jon in the least, then his wildling arc will have been for nothing. His mercifully killing Mance when he was burning, going against Stannis' orders, will have been for nothing.
If Jon is simply a lovesick fool who now just realizes how badly he screwed up, then the conversation he has with Sansa in 7x01 about her warning him to be smarter than Ned and Robb will have been for nothing. In a show where it's been indicated more than once that dialogue is not wasted and there is always a reason for each scene, if this warning turns out to have been ignored, then it was all for nothing.
If there is no confrontation between Dany, Sansa and Jon, then all of the allusions to a possible love triangle and all of the framing will have been for nothing.
If there is no confrontation between Sansa and Dany regarding the idea of treason (in Dany's mind anyways), then all of this build up and mentioning each other to other people in conversations will have been for nothing.
If there is no discussion or realization of Sansa's feelings for Jon (whether he returns them or not), then all of the suggested framing and suggested dialogue, all of Sansa's jealousy will have been for nothing.
Again, if Jon is blindly in love with Dany by this point, then all of his uncomfortable expressions, his obvious placating her has been for nothing.
If the Starks do not come together and work together in this last one, then all of their shutting out their reactions to important info (i.e. RLJ), time together denied to them this season, etc. will have been for nothing.
If Jon is unable to have a family, then the whole yearning in his goodbye scene with Sam and Gilly will have been for nothing. The whole scene with Jorah giving Longclaw back to Jon in 7x06 with the Stark theme playing in the background as Jon mulls it over will have been for nothing.
If Jon doesn't become a Stark legally in one way or another (whether by marriage or just being given the name) when this is all he has wanted since he could remember and has said as much in the show, then him even mentioning that fact, the callbacks to Ned, the framing of Ned and Catelyn 2.0, will have all been for nothing.
If Arya does not use one last face in this conclusion, then her training while not having been for nothing obviously, will have taken a strange turn. Why have Sansa discover her masks in s7 only to not use of them (or a new one) in the last episode of GoT ever?
If Jon is not a leader in some sort of capacity by the end, then his whole story line will have been for nothing. His whole arc was about him learning to lead and we have seen some payoffs but if it doesn't in the end, especially learning he was the actual heir to the IT the whole time, then it will all have been for nothing.
If Sansa is not a leader in some capacity, then showing us her capabilities and her compassion in leadership, will have been for nothing.
If Jon does not protect Sansa (and their family) in some capacity in this next episode, then him promising to protect her and the recurring theme of protection they have hinted at the last 2 seasons will have been for nothing.
If Jon doesn't tell Dany that she made the wrong choice in the next episode, about killing innocent men, women, and children, then the character we have come to know over 8 seasons will have been for nothing.
If the Starks all separate in the end, then the whole motto "The lone wolf dies but the pack survives" (and the Sansa and Arya scene in 7x07 on the ramparts), the whole emphasis throughout the whole show had the pack stuck together in the North where they belonged things might have been different, will have been for nothing.
If the Starks don't emerge victorious in the end (not talking about winning the IT btw) by surviving and rebuilding, then their whole struggle as the underdog since s1 will have been for nothing. There will never be a need for "A Time For Wolves".
All of it will have been for nothing. And all they have been doing is screwing with us, using red herrings all over the place
Let us hope that's not the case.

Not-so bold predictions: Starklings FTW
This week, I tweeted a ‘Bold prediction’ that tbh wasn’t much of a bold prediction. The basic premise was the Starks come out on top. The tweet read like this: Bold prediction that I will at some point write a tumblr meta about. Bran gets the NK, Arya kills Daenerys, Sansa takes out Tyrion, and Jon valonqars the sh*t out of Cersei. Just like that all their enemies are gone. #Starks4theWin #Starklings
Bran v’s Night King
This is the point I am the least sure about. But in the end, I do think Bran will play a pivotal role in taking out the Night King and the White Walkers. Jon will come in with the huge assist along with Arya. I fully expect them to have some big kills.
Arya v’s Daenerys
A few other people in the fandom have mentioned this or talked about it. Arya has long been about killing Cersei, the Queen. Except for last season when Lannister soldiers asked her where she was going she said ‘To kill the Queen.’ A great twist to this would be that she eventually kills or plays a huge role in taking out Daenerys. She may come to a place where her skills are better used to protect her family. I could also see Daenerys being substituted in for Drogon in this case. I would love an Eowyn like moment where Arya takes off whatever face she is wearing and slays the beast. The show even gave us misdirects with the recent Arya staring in awe at dragons footage.
Sansa v’s Tyrion
This is the point I am most confident about. Sansa really needs to get Tyrion out of the way if she wants to live her life. The show made a bit of a mess of this. However, in the books, she is still very much married to Tyrion. She very much didn’t want to be married to him and still doesn’t. A higher authority could give her an annulment. Except for Jon just made the lovely decision to pledge to Daenerys. And Daenerys would have no interest in annulling a marriage between Tyrion and Sansa. What would better tie the North and the Westerlands to her cause then maintaining this marriage. See when Jon gave up his crown (sorta...he never actually got down on his knee…) he gave up his authority in the North outside of commanding the armies. Sansa has the real power in Winterfell, now. The check on that. The check on Northern independence is Tyrion re-asserting their marriage. So yea Sansa really has to get out of it. This whole scenario may not play out in the show, we may get hints of it instead. Since the show has to end the same as the books, Sansa still has to take out Tyrion, the reasoning just might shift a bit.
**Also, I fully believe Tyrion is the real ‘giant’ Sansa slays in the castle made of snow. Again in the show, she may do it somewhere else. Tyrion is the only character referred to as a giant among men etc. etc. Littlefinger is a red herring for this prophecy imo.
Jon v’s Cersei
As I said in my tweet, I believe Jon will valonqar the shit out of Cersei. I’ve written about this is here and here and here. The basic argument goes a bit like this, the use of the term hints at someone with valyrian ancestry. Or someone who would become known by that term which means people might attribute valyrian ancestry to them. The term also means little sibling or brother. This makes it an ideal term to refer to Jon after the parent reveal because he is the younger of Rhaegar’s children. He is the younger Aegon. The added bonus is he is the younger King in the North, too. This makes more sense in the books where (f)Aegon, Rhaegar’s older son and the older Aegon because Jon will be named Aegon in the books, plays a big role. I mean seriously guys can’t you just see it...Jon will become know as Aegon the Valonqar.
Another point in this theories favor is that Jon is the only character we see get in close and lose his sh*t on people. He punched Ramsey repeatedly and uncontrollably. He choked out Littlefinger. In the books, he is constantly clutching and unclutching his sword hand to the point that it is a nervous habit. He’s just waiting to wrap his hands around someone’s neck.
And what sets him off like this? People who have harmed or mention Sansa. It’s pretty safe to say that Sansa is on the very short list of two of being the younger more beautiful queen. If Cersei threatens her in any way...well...Jon is very likely to lose his mind. This is becoming even more likely because there are serious rumors out there that Cersei kidnaps Sansa. Yes, this theory relates to Jonsa and a possible Jonsa ending but it is not limited to that.
Generally, the ‘pack’ kills together. They will all help each other take out the various other parties. We’ve already seen this with Jon and Sansa in the BoTB and later when Sansa, Arya, and Bran execute Littlefinger.  But each Starkling takes the lead on one of these end game deaths. There are other noteworthy deaths that our Starks may have a hand in (The Mountain, Euron, etc). But the ones mentioned here are the big ones. The Starks are the center of this story. They are our erstwhile heroes. This story is about them coming into their own. About them perhaps starting a new dynasty. To do that they are going to have to take a few people out first.

Orange Cassidy (AEW all-Atlantic champion)
Wardlow
Ricky Starks
Jack Perry
Keith Lee
Wheeler YUTA (ROH pure champion)
HOOK (FTW champion)
Men's singles division - heels
MJF (AEW men's world champion)
Chris Jericho
Samoa Joe (AEW TNT champion, ROH television champion)
Sammy Guevara (AAA mixed tag team champion)
Daniel Garcia
Ethan Page
Swerve Strickland
Luchasaurus
Powerhouse Hobbs
Lance Archer
Unranked: Aaron Solo, Action Andretti*, Anthony Henry*, Ari Daivari, Clayton Bloodstone*, Cole Karter, Danhausen, Dralistico*, Dustin Rhodes, Exodus Prime*, Izzy James*, Jake Hager, Jeff Cobb*, JD Griffey*, Juice Robinson*, Jun Akiyama*, Kip Sabian, Konosuke Takeshita, Lee Johnson, Mascara Dorada*, Nick Comoroto, Preston Vance, QT Marshall, Rocky Romero*, Rush, Shane Taylor*, Shawn Dean, Trent Seven*, Tomohiro Ishii*
*Not listed on AEW's official roster webpage
The top programs right now look to be Moxley vs. Adam Page, MJF vs. Danielson, Wardlow vs. Joe, and Lee vs. Strickland. I don't know if Jericho will keep targetting Andretti after that shocking upset, but obviously Jericho will get something big to do. Hobbs seems to be getting a push but doesn't have a clear opponent for a feud yet. Cassidy is clearly headed for a title match with Sabian, but I don't expect that story to take up much time.
The babyface side is noticeably stronger than the heel side. That works out, though, since MJF needs a steady supply of good guy opponents who already have credibility, so they won't look so bad when he beats them. After Danielson you can easily get months of booking out of MJF vs. Wardlow, MJF vs. Perry, MJF vs. Castagnoli, MJF vs. Keith Lee, MJF vs. Hook, etc., etc. I assume a rematch with Moxley will happen but it might take a while to get around to it.
While MJF is on top, AEW would do well to figure out what they're doing with lesser heels like Ethan Page, Luchasaurus, Daniel Garcia, and Lance Archer. I'm not worried about Strickland, who will be moving on up now that he's a singles guy again, but the others have rarely felt like they have a clear direction.
Men's tag team division - babyfaces
The Acclaimed - Max Caster & Anthony Bowens (AEW tag team champions)
FTR - Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler (IWGP tag team champions, AAA tag team champions)
Darby Allin & Sting
The Briscoes - Jay Briscoe* & Mark Briscoe* (ROH tag team champions)
Eddie Kingston & Ortiz
Top Flight - Dante Martin & Darius Martin
Best Friends - Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta
John Silver & Alex Reynolds
Blake Christian & AR Fox
Shinobi Shadow Squad - Cheeseburger* & Eli Isom*
Men's tag team division - heels
The Butcher & The Blade
Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal
The Kingdom - Matt Taven & Mike Bennett
Matt Menard & Angelo Parker
Lee Moriarty & Big Bill
*Not listed on AEW's official roster webpage
The big feuds here are the Acclaimed vs. Lethal's dumb faction, FTR vs. Austin and Colten Gunn, Moriarty/Bill vs. Jack Perry & Hook, and the Best Friends vs. Butcher and Blade. Silver and Reynolds have business with Rush and Preston Vance, but that may end up being a trios deal or something. Kingston and Ortiz have a score to settle with the House of Black but they probably need a third guy.
The heel side is awfully thin right now. It wasn't a big deal when FTR was mostly fighting other face teams, but they need to balance things out somehow. It would help to get the Gunns and the Varsity Athletes (Josh Woods & Tony Nese) back on TV.
Men's trios division - babyfaces
The Elite - Kenny Omega & Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson
Dalton Castle* & Brandon Tate* & Brent Tate*
Hardy Party - Matt Hardy & Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy
Men's trios division - heels
Death Triangle - PAC & Penta El 0M & Rey Fenix (AEW trios champions)
The Embassy - Brian Cage & Toa Liona* & Bishop Kaun* (ROH trios champions)
The House of Black - Malakai Black & Brody King & Buddy Matthews
*Not listed on AEW's official roster webpage
AEW managed to put together eight trios for the championship tournament this summer, and then by September virtually all eight teams were off the board. So it's good to see they've rebuilt the division somewhat. Personally I'd rather see 8-10 trios here, which should be doable without cannibalizing the singles and tag divisions.
The most notable absences here are QT Marshall's Factory, the Jericho Appreciation Society, and Ari Daivari's Trustbusters--all those groups could focus three of their guys on a trios run. I always assumed if AEW got a trios division going that the Dark Order would be a fixture in it; now that there's only three guys left in the group (Silver, Reynolds, and Evil Uno) it seems even more natural.
Women's singles division - babyfaces
Saraya
Toni Storm
Hikaru Shida (Regina di WAVE champion)
Ruby Soho
Mercedes Martinez
Willow Nightingale
Skye Blue*
Kiera Hogan
Madison Rayne
Women's singles division - heels
Jade Cargill (AEW TBS champion)
Britt Baker
Jamie Hayter (AEW women's world champion)
Athena (ROH women's world champion)
Nyla Rose
Tay Melo (AAA mixed tag team champion)
Anna Jay
The Bunny
Red Velvet
Leila Grey
Unranked: Dani Mo*, Queen Aminata*
*Not listed on AEW's official roster webpage
AEW has always struggled to present the women's division well, but I have to give them credit for actually getting 21 women on TV in the past 30 days. The storylines feel a little fuzzy right now, but maybe that'll clear up in a few weeks when we get closer to the next pay-per-view.
I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football whenever I think this, but it seems like AEW is pairing the women off for a potential tag division. Of late we've seen Baker & Hayter, Cargill/Velvet/Grey, Anna & Tay, Bunny & Penelope Ford, Nyla & Marina Shafir, and a few makeshift babyface teams to oppose them. My dream scenario would be for this to build to Sasha Banks and Naomi coming in to finish what they started in WWE, but I shouldn't get ahead of myself.
No TV or PPV matches in 30 days: Angelico, Brandon Cutler, Emi Sakura, Evil Uno, Hagane Shinno*, Josh Woods, Leva Bates, Luther, Marina Shafir*, Peter Avalon, Satnam Singh, Serpentico, Sonny Kiss, Tony Nese, Zack Clayton*
*Not listed on AEW's official roster webpage
There are way too many wrestlers on Dark and Elevation for me to keep track of, so I'm only including the ones who wrestled in the last month and either a) won a match or b) are listed on the official roster. This rule is particularly tough on the Wingmen and the Trustbusters, but I had to draw the line somewhere.
No AEW/ROH matches in 30 days: Adam Page, Anthony Ogogo, AQA, Austin Gunn, Bandido, Brian Pillman Jr., Brock Anderson, Christopher Daniels, Colten Gunn, Frankie Kazarian, Fuego Del Sol, Matt Sydal, Michael Nakazawa, Miro, Parker Boudreaux, Penelope Ford, Riho, Scorpio Sky, Serena Deeb, Shawn Spears, Sonjay Dutt, Yuka Sakazaki
I'm not sure what's going on with these names. Adam Page is obviously medically cleared or they wouldn't even fly him in to do interviews about how he's not medically cleared. Miro and Scorp are reportedly ready to go and just don't have anything planned for them. Bandido literally just got signed a month ago and hasn't been seen since. Pillman is probably in limbo until they decide what to do with him while Griff Garrison is sidelined. I keep thinking Daniels, Nakazawa, and Dutt have retired or something, but as soon as I assume that they'll be in a match next week.
As for the rest, for all I know any of them could have an injury that didn't make the news, and we'll never know until they show up again. Four years ago it was WWE that always had a dozen or more wrestlers on ice, and I never expected AEW to end up being as bad (if not worse) with that same issue.
Part-time/semi-retired: Billy Gunn, Mark Henry, Mark Sterling, Paige VanZant, Paul Wight, Rebel, Stokely Hathaway
Inactive
Abadon (shoulder - collarbone fracture)
Adam Cole (unspecified injury - possible concussion)
Andrade El Idolo (right arm - pectoralis tear)
Christian Cage (right arm - triceps tear)
CM Punk (left arm - triceps tear; negotiating release)
Colt Cabana (unspecified injury)
Griff Garrison (unspecified injury)
Jeff Hardy (suspension; awaiting DUI trial)
Kris Statlander (right knee - ACL/meniscus tear)
Kyle O'Reilly (neck - fusion surgery)
Leyla Hirsch (right knee - ACL tear)
Santana (left knee - unspecified injury)
Thunder Rosa (back - unspecified injury)
Even if the backstage fight hadn't happened, Punk would be out with his triceps injury until at least March or April. It's been reported that Punk and AEW are negotiating a buyout of his contract, which suggests one or both sides don't want him to return. I suppose there's a slim possibility they could mend fences for a shocking comeback, but if it happened it would naturally be top super-duper maxi-extreme ultra secret.
