Steve had shown up, as if his own pool isn't empty at home right now, and he wore a white tee and his swimming trunks, which is fine, it's okay for the rich fuck to be out here, completely fine. Billy might be the king, but he doesn't own this place even if he acts like it all the time.

Couldn't that gorgeous brunette have chosen a different day? Surely he doesn't know Billy's work schedule, but really, why even come here when he has that fucking pool at his fucking mansion.

Everything was fine at first, Steve chatted with some pretty girls and Billy wasn't jealous. Steve was nice and dry and clothed and not paying Billy any mind, and Billy was not jealous.

Then Steve reminded Billy of high school, of the locker rooms, of the boys showers, when he took off his shirt and reminded Billy of how his moles are everywhere, like a constellation across pale skin.

And it only got worse once Steve got into the pool and his hair got wet, clinging to his pretty boy face. Billy didn't last long upon his throne before very calmly walking to the men's locker room and stepping into one of the showers.

Did he get even prettier, somehow? He's gained some weight, gotten harrier, but Billy didn't really think he was into all that, but with Steve? It felt… unavoidable. Inevitable.

He turns on the cold water and gasps loudly as it clashes with his warm, sun kissed skin. What the fuck is he going to do?

Steve comes home after a long day at work, ready to lie down and get something to eat. He trudges out of his car and immediately hears screaming coming from the trailer, bolts up the steps and slams the door open.

Eddie has his hanky tied around his eyes, arms flailing at absolutely nothing, screaming bloody murder. He’s ducking and weaving at some invisible force. Dustin turns to Steve, shouting over the top of Eddie who is still going

‘WERE TESTING EDDIES ECHOLOCATION. CLOSE THE DOOR, YOUR GOING TO MESS IT UP’ and Dustin punctuates his sentence by throwing a fork directly at Eddie, who is still waving his arms around like a man possessed. There’s carnage strewn all over the trailer; pillows, bags of chips, Steve thinks he sees a soup can in the corner of the room.

He just catches it in the corner of his eye as Dustin pulls out a butter knife.

‘NO NO ABSOLUTELY NOT’ and tackles Dustin down from his spot standing on the couch. Eddie eventually stops screaming when he hears the thump, pulls off his makeshift blindfold and pouts ‘Steve, HOW am I supposed to by the vampire ruler of the earth if I don’t practice with my sweet skills?’ Eddie emphasises this by biting over his bottom lip to show off his fangs.

This is the third time this month Steve has come home to Eddie and Dustin ‘testing the vampirism, for science Steven!’ He doesn’t know if he can take much more. Steve stalks off to the bedroom with Dustin and Eddie trailing behind him to give a dramatic rundown of how this ‘test’ went. Yes this includes jumping on the bed and yes Steve has to hold on for dear life.

At least it’s not as bad as when they thought Eddie could fly, coming home to every pillow on the ground outside and the two boys on top of the trailer with crash helmets on is not something Steve wants a repeat of

I haven’t been here much and I miss y’all. I don’t think anyone particularly cares about what I’ve been doing but I love reading mundane stuff like this from my mutuals so here’s an update:

1. I shaved my head. I love it. I look like a badass lesbian (which is like 49% true).

2. I’ve read 90 books this year. 90% of those have been ebooks on my phone. So I finally caved and bought a Kindle Paperwhite. I’ll literally never go back. Reading is so much more comfortable now, omg! (Found a couple new favorite m/m romance authors too!)

3. I went to see The Little Mermaid and the new Spiderverse movie at the cinema. Was surprised how much I loved The Little Mermaid. Was not surprised how much I loved the spiderman movie. (Gwen is the coolest character ever!)

4. Watched The Owl House, Gravity Falls and Amphibia with my kiddo. Obsessed with all of them, especially Owl House.

5. Got back on depression meds and they seem to be helping. I’ve been feeling almost normal for the past few months.

6. Joined dating apps to maybe dip my toe into the dating pool. Did not get a date. Only got frustrated.

7. Joined a kink app and have been talking to some people in hopes of finding a sub to have some online fun with. One candidate read some of my rhink fic and was casual viewer of GMM. I of course gave them a lengthy lecture on Rhett and Link and their incredibly romantic history and soulmate-ness. Their response: “I’m never gonna see the show with same eyes again.” I feel I’ve already achieved more than I could have hoped for in that app.

8. Started writing multiple different novels but crippling anxiety and self-doubt stops me from continuing. Fun times. Should try go back to writing fic, just to be writing something.
