Guacamole Hat - Despicable Me
Story
In the movie Despicable Me there is a scene where Gru and his family go to a Mexican party and Gru eats a Guacamole Hat. The hat is really creative and has a fun concept, so we decided to bring you the recipe for it. The recipe is a bit hard to do, as a little crack in the hat can destroy the whole thing, but here's how it's made!
Nacho ingredients
3 cups fine cornmeal
3 cups wheat flour
2 cups warm water (approximately)
1 tbsp of salt
2 tbsp of smoked paprika
Guacamole Ingredients
1 large ripe avocado
1 chili pepper
1/2 red onion
1 tomato (without skin and seed)
2 tbsp of fresh coriander
Juice of 1 lime
1/2 tbsp of salt
How to make
Mix the wheat flour, fine cornmeal, smoked paprika and salt in a bowl
Add oil, water and mix with your hands until it's no longer sticky
Take a round tin and inside it place a round bowl facing down (to shape the hat)
Cover this entire hat with aluminum foil
Open the dough on a table with the help of a rolling pin and place it over the greased hat-shaped mold
Place in the oven for 90 minutes at 320°F
For the guacamole, just chop the tomato and onions and mix all the ingredients in a small bowl, then spread it around the hat

How to Prepare for an Appraisal
To help the appraisal go as smoothly as possible, we generally recommend you take the following actions and prepare the listed documents, if available, for the appraiser.
Checklist:
Unlock all padlocks on the property.
Keep a leash on pets or remove them from the property.
Make sure all areas of the home are accessible.
Remove any snow that will prevent access to the property.
Verify lock box combination and access keys are accessible and do not lock the storm door from the inside.

Butterbeer - From Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The Story
Butterbeer is a recipe that appears in the third Harry Potter movie. It's a sweet drink that, despite what the name sugests, does not contain alcohol. Other than most of the delights in our blog, butterbeer can actually be officially bought on the Harry Potter section of Universal Studios, as well of some other Harry Potter foods. So come with us through the magical world of buttery goodness, and make this really simple recipe!
Ingredients
300 ml apple cider
3 Tablespoons of salted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 scoops of melted vanilla ice cream
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp powdered cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
How to prepare
Mix butter, sugar and spices in a large bowl.
Add the ice cream and freeze.
Heat up the cider in a saucepan for 3 minutes (use low heat to prevent boiling).
Fill each glass with the cider a generous spoonful of the frozen ingredients.

Bring the water to a boil. Give it a stir and pour the boba pearls in. They should float to the surface within the first 30-45 seconds. If they don’t float you may have a bad batch or you may not have allowed the water to boil all the way before adding the boba. Allow the boba to cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring every so often. Remove the pot from the heat and place a lid on top. Allow the boba to cook covered for an additional 2-3 minutes. Strain the boba from the water and pour into a bowl/container. Add just enough cold water to cover the pearls. Stir in 1/4 cup brown sugar to sweeten the boba. Allow to cool before adding to drinks. Recipe Notes If you don’t need to use the boba pearls for more 12 hours, cover the container and refrigerate. The pearls will stick together some the longer they sit in the syrup, so give them a good stir before adding to drinks to help them unstick.
