The Beginning of the End

The beginning of the French & Indian War (North American Theatre of the Seven Years' War) ft Rich/Virginia, Jonah/West Virginia, & Charles/New France (c. @gardenkeeper)

In my lore, Alfred was by no means the favored colony, and Arthur, while he sort of cared for his colonies in a way, he was just too busy to properly keep track of them (hence the salutary neglect). Alfred is a staunch New Englander, and quite frankly it makes sense. New England always had more of a bone to pick with the British Empire than the tidewater south ever did...so this brings me to Rich/Virginia...

I like to think of Rich as the favorite of Arthur's British colonies given that Rich is more influenced by this southern English gentry culture that I see Arthur being influenced by too. Alfred is more eastern English in nature.

Rich has this typical southern gentleman attitude. Takes life too easily, quite the flirt, and quite charming, but he can be quite entitled especially given the fact he's basically the favorite out of the 13 and Alfred. ANYWAYS, what's happening in this picture?:

For context, neither Alfred, or his states' "first war" was the American Revolution-- quite frankly I dislike this hc because it ignores wars with Indigenous nations, and also ignores some of the reasoning behind isolationism. Also it sometimes come off as if you do not view Indigenous nations as sovereign and separate entities of the settler-colonial project.

Essentially these colonies were getting dragged into European fights albeit it in the North American theatre ex: Queen Anne's War/War of Spanish Succession. Some were getting tired of being in these fights because they were not reaping the benefits aka gaining more land....this led to Rich thinking he could get away with anything. Right? Arthur wouldn't care much if Rich, and his half-brother Jonah, roughed up some French colony asshole, Charles and just took his land because after all, they all hate the French anyways. Or so that's what Rich thought....he would come to find out he overstepped with Arthur because he essentially forced Arthur's hand into the Seven Years' War by getting Arthur further embroiled into another conflict with Francis.

This would lead Arthur to become more harsh with his colonies (ex trying to enforce one english national culture rather than let them proliferate with different english + some other cultural backgrounds) and would lead him to more closely govern.

I am finally introducing one of my favorite girls- West Virginia !!!

Her human name is Pearl Elizabeth Madison, and she's physically 21 years old. She's the 27th oldest state, and celebrates her birthday on June 20th.

Pearl is overall a very fun and pleasant person to be around. She's friendly, diligent, cheerful, hardworking, kind, polite, sociable, neighborly, loyal, very passionate, fun loving, adventurous, thrill seeking, helpful and proud. She's a naturally very outdoorsy and active person with a deep love of everything nature related, and she's insanely passionate, putting her entire heart and soul into everything she does. She's the type of person to carry food with her wherever she goes just so she can share it with others. She's very community-oriented, a big people person and the very definition of the perfect neighbor. She's the first to speak up for others, or against something she doesn't think is fair- and she's huge on fairness and good sportsmanship. Some more fun facts about her are:

She's only a mere 5'1, or 155 cm in height. She's one of the shortest states- specifically, the third shortest state.

She has roughly 3a type hair.

She is the younger sister to Virginia, and older sister to Kentucky.

Outside of her Indigenous languages, she speaks fluent English and Spanish.

She is a huge fan of playing music, and just music in general. She's very skilled at playing the fiddle, appalachian dulcimer, mandolin and banjo, as well as the guitar. She's also a fairly good singer, and has written a few small songs of her own. She attends music festivals whenever they occur, and especially loves folk music, bluegrass music, country music and indie music.

She's always finding something to do and always keeping busy.

She holds a very deep respect for manual laborers, like miners. She's done quite a lot of manual labor herself over her life.

She's a naturally outdoorsy and active person. She has been exploring and adventuring ever since she was a young girl, and she knows her way around the outdoors She's also a fairly skilled survivalist.

She is very good in a crisis, having experience in survival, getting around the outdoors, working with her hands, growing food and more.

She is a very good shot.

She has an appalachian accent.

She keeps snacks and such stowed away everywhere. She has big pantries at all of her houses, and frequently bakes or cooks more than she can even eat just so she can give the extras to neighbors or local food pantries.

She is a very hard worker. She's very skilled with her hands and is always very thorough with any task she's given. She's even quite good with back-breaking labor, which has made her one of the physically stronger states.

She's a bit of an adrenaline junkie at times, indulging in everything from mountain climbing, white water rafting and skydiving.

She's surprisingly very religious, but hardly ever brings it up. She goes to church pretty much every sunday.

She is super helpful and more than happy to have anyone's back for anything.

She has quite a few gardens scattered across her houses and likes to grow some of her own food, especially ramps, herbs and other vegetables.

She usually has a bit of dirt on her somewhere.

Her likes include: Music, folk music, bluegrass music, country music, indie music, playing music, the outdoors, being outside, hotdogs, coleslaw, pepperoni rolls, apples, apple pie, hunting, cooking, baking, catching fireflies, hiking, camping, mountain climbing, whitewater rafting, running, swimming, gardening, farming, rainy days, Mothman, tough jobs, mountains, forests, waterfalls, pearls, pearl jewelry, being active

Her dislikes include: Pushy people, unfairness, judgmental people, being told what to do

Thomas: My mama. She’s been a great mom, through the good times and bad.

Anastasia: Mutti. Our first real interaction was in 1946. She was testifying, and I was assigned to keep her safe. She’s the only one that had the balls to look Alfred in the eyes and say “She is a child, stop having her fight your wars.” She was the first one to recognize that I was just a child, and I had already been exposed to the horrors of war.

Monika: Jul, Annaliese and Ludwig. We’ve been a little family unit for centuries. I’s trust the three of them with my life.

Amelia: I used to look up to someone... not anymore.

I have a whole story about Virginia and her complexity.... problem is that most of it is in my head and I can’t put it into words

Name: Elizabeth Henry

Age: 31-34

Gender: Cis female

Ethnicity/Race: European (English, there’s others, I just forgot)

Siblings: West Virginia and Kentucky

Height: 5’5 (165.15 cm)

Relations:

-Kentucky: She loves him. She adores him. Virginia doesn’t realize this out of him and West Virginia, she loves Kentucky more. Although he was a troublemaker as a kid, she still showered him with gifts of animals and helped him start a farm and planting. Even though she was distant with him when he was growing up, Kentucky understood why and was soon pushed into the responsibility of being a state, leading him to emphasize with her the workload. During the War of 1812, they became closer as Kentucky tried to be at every battle, supporting the country as Virginia took care of him and his wounds. She was proud of him. Nowadays, they are still on good terms.

-Maryland: She has mixed feelings about Maryland. Mostly negative. Perhaps there was a time when they were colonies that Virginia thought Maryland as a friend but it’s complicated and a wip. Although Maryland’s positive attitude and some of his beliefs rubbed off on Virginia over the years, she finds him annoying. Since the Civil War, he became more wealthy than her which was a blow to her self esteem, seeing how she always bragged how successful she was and was then destroyed. She has hated how much influence Maryland had on DC seeing as they had different aspirations for the boy. Virginia wanted him more of a Southern gentleman and Maryland wanted him to be free and study all his heart desired, even if it included getting in trouble. And finally, and most importantly, she absolutely hates how he drives and how he even got a driver license. She has gotten into countless accidents whenever she is behind him and fights with him nearly every time. She’s tired of him. But she hates other people more so he’s okay for now.

-North Carolina: Though I don’t have a concrete and satisfying oc of North Carolina, I think that these two are good friends. They just vibe with each other from the start and have great respect for each other. They like to tease each other too.

Virginia: I guess I won once again, huh?

North Carolina, eye twitching: Oh, bless your heart, sweetie.

-Tennessee: She finds him kind of adorable with his optimism, his passion about music, and his habit for always volunteering to help. Virginia always had great respect for him.

-West Virginia: She doesn’t really like him. She used to really love him as she used to raise him but their bond just slowly deteriorated up until the Civil War. Like with Kentucky, she was distant but this had a greater effect on his mental health as West interpreted that Virginia didn’t love him anymore. She had so much to deal with that it physically drained her from wanting to spend time with West Virginia. She always told him she loved him but it wasn’t enough. When West Virginia was becoming his own state, he stole some secrets from Virginia and gave it to the Union. When she found out about this, she felt utterly betrayed. She always thought they were close albeit having opposing opinions. What made this hurt more was that West Virginia was actively participating in the campaign in the East, taking Richmond and causing damage. After the war, she heard some of the things he said about her which was the last straw for her. She began hating him from that point on. He betrayed her, hurt her, and talked absolute trash about her. She didn’t forgive him. Her hatred died down nowadays but she doesn’t really like him. Please know that this was from her perspective, okay?

Things I don’t know how to title but it exists:

-was incredibly sick when she was young; she promised herself to never get to that point in life at whatever’s cost

-wealthy

-works hard

-makes bomb ass food

-mom friend

-motherly

-compulsive caretaker

-she was 18 when they declared her independence

-sorta a history buff

-loves going to festivals

-has an obscure driver license plate, not sure what it is yet, but I just know that it’s probably out of vanity

-(on the last point wtf is up with your license plate Virginians. Every time I see a plate that says Virginia, your plate always says something weird and I’m just so confused. Also you’re not very good drivers. There. I said it.)

Some things about her (development? idk):

Due to the living conditions of Jamestown and the rapid growth because of tabacco, she promised herself to never get to that point in her life ever again. She developed a habit throughout the years of saving money and soon became her profession of either business or economics.

Since she was the oldest compared to the other OG 13 an had two younger brothers, she had to grow up quickly and be the responsible one. She wanted them to be safe while they’re together. For example, when Virginia see anyone hurt, she was always the first to help them and give some sort of lecture. She also provided the food, with some help obviously, but she was the main chef. Whenever the other colonies get upset, Virginia has to step in and comfort them. At the same time, she was also delving more into politics and helping out with her government. With this mindset, she had little time to truly enjoy her childhood or even have one. She had to be the mature one. She had to be the responsible one. She had to be. This ultimately causes her to be stressed and thinking that is normal. It also lead to Virginia being to stubborn and thinks she doesn’t have to be goofy or have fun like the other kids.

Some writing but I’m too shy to show all of it so have this,,,:

She swiftly exited the party held in their shared house. Thoughts raced through her mind. Fun, gentle memories filled her mind with nostalgia only to be struck with regrettable decisions she made. Her breath quickened. Her blue eyes shifted from plant to plant. Her chest grew heavier by the second.

The booming echoes of gunshots softly dies down, relieving Virginia of her stress. She and most of the female states took refuge at a nearby town from Yorktown. Virginia prayed once more for the safety of her fellow states who are currently in the siege. Pressing her hands together, she began reciting. Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland, South Carolina, and Georgia - her brethren. The thought of them getting hurt distressed her greatly. They don’t always agree on everything but she’ll be damned if they don’t mean anything to her. Little by little, she began relaxing, but that anxiety never left. Once the last words slipped from her mouth, she glanced at the other girls. The tension in the air was palpable. They could only hope that this period of silence would stay silent.

Virginia: *crosses arms with a disappointed look* So what’s your excuse for today?

Nevada: [whispers] I said shut up! *looks at Arizona and New Mexico who gave her a nod*

Arizona: We’re good. We can talk now.

Virginia: What illegal shit have you done this time?

South Carolina: What are you? Barely 300 years old? Makes sense. You’re so young!

Rhode Island: Careful South, you’ll make the entire void we call Midwest cry *snorts*

Virginia: When Washington wanted us to get along, I’m not quite sure this is what he meant

Virginia: *disgusted by the whole thing*

West Virginia: Oh come on!

Maryland: Listen, no one will make fun of you.

Virginia: I will though!

DC: How the hell did you get in my house??

Maryland: Not important! As long as we’re together.

DC: Virginia?

Virginia: Like he said, not important.

DC: If you don’t mind a whole house has to be clean.

Maryland: See! He’s not gonna make us work.

DC: Who said I don’t need help?

Virginia: *smacks Maryland*

Maryland: For someone who lived almost practically alone for the past 150 years, he makes some messes.

Virginia: You know, this is your fault.

Virginia: I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again, your brother’s a dick

Transtalia Week 2020 Day 4

Day 4: Not being accepted

@the-transtalia-blog Wow, so this got a little depressing. And very long. So, uh, enjoy me projecting onto David and beating them with the angst baton.

Tennessee = David (Nonbinary person, they/them) Kentucky = Henry (Cis man) North Carolina = Nolan (Cis man) South Carolina = Nora (Cis woman) Missouri = Miles (gnc Cis man) (only mentioned) Virginia = (I don’t actually remember their name, sorry Sybil)(Nonbinary) @hws-germania‘s oc (only briefly mentioned)

Day 4: Not Being Accepted

“So… I was thinking about changing my name.”

Henry looked up from where he had been pulling up bits of grass to braid together and blinked.

“Oh? Do you not like Fiona anymore?”

“I just… It doesn’t feel right. That doesn’t feel like my name.”

“… Ok. What were you thinking of changing it to?” Henry sat the length of braided grass in his lap and leaned back against the tree, waiting for an answer. His red-haired friend had tucked her knees under her chin, hugging them. She had been watching him, seemingly gauging his reaction, but now she looked down and pressed her forehead to her knees.

“Well, I was thinking… I kind of like David.”

Oh? Oh…. Nodding, Henry sat up again. That was really not what he’d expected. “Do, um… Do you want to change anything else?”

Fi- David peeked up from over… his? His arms. Tears had started to gather at the edges, and Henry did not like that at all. He shifted away from the tree, crawling over to David to sit next to his friend. Hesitantly, he reached out a hand and rested it on David’s shoulder.

“It’s ok if you do. I like David, too. I like you… even though you definitely cheated on the race over here.”

That got a giggle out of David, and he raised his head and wiped his eyes. “Thanks, Henry. And I did not cheat, I’m just a better rider than you!” David poked Henry in the ribs with a grin. “But, um, yeah… I think there are some other things I wanna change.”

Henry nodded. “Ok. I’ll help, if you want.”

David smiled, and Henry felt warmth come with the grin. He was sincere; he and David had been the best of friends since they were children, and they had always understood that if one of them needed something, the other would do whatever was needed to help. That wasn’t going to change just because he and David might, even if David’s changes might be… bigger than expected.

David stood in the parlor and he (that really didn’t feel quite right, but neither did “she,” so…) could feel the eyes directed at him. He was so glad that his siblings weren’t visiting today, so they could have this talk with just the three of them.

Well, four, counting Henry, but he had tucked himself away in the corner as emotional support and was adamantly trying to avoid drawing too much attention to himself. David would have almost found it funny, if they weren’t so nervous; they had learned a long time ago that the Carolinas were not fond of their- his choice of friends.

Hmm… that wasn’t so bad. Can I call myself that, though? I’m just one per-

“What do you want to talk about, Fiona?”

David was shaken from their thoughts. They blinked over at Nora, who was sitting next to her brother and staring at David unblinking. Ever since they were little, David thought that look was creepy. Of course, Nora didn’t mean anything by it, she was just an intense person and when she gave her attention to something, she gave all of her attention to it.

Which was really unpleasant for David right now.

They shifted their weight to their other foot and took a deep breath, before speaking, “Well, first off, I wanna talk about changing my name. I don’t wanna be called Fiona anymore.”

Both Carolinas nodded, and Nolan commented, “Alright. It’s not uncommon for a personification to change his or her name, especially since we live so long. Times change, and things go in and out of fashion.”

“What would you like to change your name to?”

David glanced over to Henry, who was standing in the corner by the door. Henry nodded, and David grasped onto the reassurance that he offered.

“I, uh, I want to be called- I want to be called David, please.”

Both twins blinked. Neither spoke for what felt like hours, but David knew was probably seconds. Then Nolan cleared his throat and said, “David? Well, that is a very good name, but… I’m not sure it’s the best choice.”

Nora added, “Yes. We realize you must be looking for a change, Fiona, but perhaps you should consider a less… drastic change, hm? If you’re looking for a name that is less feminine, Logan is a lovely name for men and women.”

“It is. Are you trying to display your boyish tendencies? We know you were irritated with Madam Willingham for scolding you as a tomboy. She really should… Well, she should mind her own business, if you ask me, but Logan is a fine name for a lady who is not afraid of a little dirt and sweat. Or Riley.”

In spite of how they had prepared for this reaction, David felt themself (themselves? No, that’s not right, there’s only one of me…) deflate a little. In contrast, they could sense Henry bristling behind them. Henry normally was very calm, and it really to some doing to get him riled up, but god, the twins sure were good at it.

I should really say something before he do-

“I really don’t think that is what David meant.”

Nora and Nolan pivoted toward Henry, and David, despite the twisting in their gut, sighed at the thought of having to drag Henry out of another shouting match with their siblings.

“Really? Well, please, what do you think she means?”

Henry opened his mouth for a retort, then closed it again. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, before responding, “That’s not my place. They can tell you.”

David held his breath at the wording. Nora frowned and Nolan quirked a brow, but neither addressed how Henry had referred to David, so David let out their breath and decided to move on quickly. They wanted this to be over with.

“I, er, well, Henry is right,” they stumbled. “I’m not trying to let people know I’m a tomgirl, or boy or whatever. I… I’m not a tomboy or a tomgirl. I…,” David sighed, and continued, “I don’t want to be called Fiona, and I don’t want to be called a girl anymore. That’s not what I am.”

Again, there was silence, but this time, the twins were much more obviously thrown. David waited for what they would say and prepared for the worst.

“Fi… David,” Nora said. “If you do not want to… be seen as a girl anymore, or if you think you would prefer to act and dress as a man, then… well, Nolan, I think we can work with that.”

“Yes… yes, we’ll go to the tailor tomorrow and see about having some new clothes put together. Just a few outfits, in case you reconsider this, ah… decision.”

“No.” David wasn’t quite aware of speaking.

Nolan hesitated. “No?”

“No. I mean, yes, I would appreciate new clothes, but I don’t want to be seen as a man. I don’t think I am a man. I don’t feel like a man.”

Nora shared a look with her brother before fixing David with a firm look. “We’re not really sure what you mean, then, dear. Are you going to act as a man or a woman, Tennessee?”

A cold feeling gathered in their stomach.

David swallowed.

“Neither. Or both? I am neither. But…” they trailed off at the looks they were receiving from both siblings. Nora always looked unimpressed, even when she was entertained, sometimes. She discovered early on how to garner respect among her peers as a young woman involved in the politics and finance of her state. But even Nolan, who was not particularly warm but was still less severe than his sister, was fixing David with a withering stare.

“Don’t be silly, Fiona. You are not a plant, or a chair, or a rock. You are a young lady, and if, for the moment, you fancy trying your hand at a man’s life, then feel free; we will help, within reason. But do not start running around with some fanciful ideas of… whatever it is you’re thinking.”

“Yes! Why, if-,”

“Do you want to leave, David?”

David almost jumped at the hand on their shoulder. Henry stood next to them, looking directly at them and ignoring Nora and Nolan’s spiel. David just stared at Henry for a full thirty seconds. They hadn’t realized that was an option.

Nora and Nolan were equally dumbfounded by Henry’s interruption. They stared at the pair standing by the door, somewhat shocked at being cut off and very irritated at Henry’s audacity to suggest walking out in the moment.

“Excuse me, but I thi-,”

“I think that you should kiss my ass, but looks like none of us are getting what we wanted, huh? I wasn’t talking to you.” Henry turned back to David and waited for an answer.

David couldn’t walk out in the middle of this. It was rude, and the problem would still be here later. All that walking away would do was postpone the unpleasant.

But David nodded.

They didn’t notice they were crying until Henry wiped their face. They were already in Tennessee and had stopped to rest and decide where they were going to go. Henry was sitting next to them by the road and put his arm around their shoulders.

“Um, I really… I’m not gonna say everything is ok, because it isn’t. That, what they said and did, that shouldn’t have happened.” He paused and rubbed his face. David had left with Henry, and before they did, the Carolinas had made it very clear that until David had made up his mind and started “thinking clearly,” neither David nor Henry was welcome in that house. They had also threatened to write to Virginia about how terrible of an influence Henry had been by encouraging their sister to run off and confuse her about her gender and such, but Henry assured David there was little to worry about on that end.

“But, y’know, everything doesn’t have to be ok. Hey, look at me, please?”

David looked up at him and placed a hand on the one Henry had yet to take from their face.

“You’re ok. Ok? And I’m ok. And we’re ok, and that’s what matters right now.”

“Wow,” David laughed, “how very humble of you to add your whole self into that.”

“Well, I mean, if you wanna trot off alone, that’s cool. I’m just stating facts, my friend; I’m doing fine, you’re doing fine, or you will be, and that’s the important part.” Henry grinned. “Besides, are you really gonna tell me I’m not fine? Because let’s face it, I’m pretty fine.”

David rolled his eyes. “I think you’ve spent too much time with Miles.”

Shrugging, Henry stood up and helped David to their feet. He thought for a moment, then suggested, “We could head to his place, speaking of. Him and his older brother will probably be much more welcoming about this than those two d- *ahem* than the twins. Or we could just hang out here, or go to Kentucky, or Virginia, or… I don’t know. It’s your crisis, you choose.”

“Well,” David mused, “I’d rather avoid anywhere the twins will be willing to march into to scold me more, so Miles is probably the only option left at that point. They like him even less than they like you. Speaking of, thank you for not getting into it with them. I’m glad we just left, instead.”

“Hey, if being polite to them will make you happy, then…,” Henry made a pained face and swallowed, “then I will bite my tongue and not tell them where they can stick their fancy fucking teacups.”

Laughing, David shook his head. “Thank you, dear. Alright then, let’s be off.”

Amelia: OH, YEAH I FORGOT WE HAVEN’T DONE THAT YET! Okay, so I was put into the system at 2 because my bio parents didn’t want me, I discovered my quirk at 5 because I decided to punch myself in the face.

Jolene: Isn’t that how you lost your eye?

Amelia: Yeah! It was so extra! Anyways, I got my glass eye after that. I was adopted by 2 really sweet European ladies, moved to the island from Virginia, and I made it into the A course last year!

Jolene: It’s my turn now, I guess. I was born as one of a set of twins. When me and my sister were 2, they gave her up because they had a suspicion that she was gay.

Amelia: How would you know that a 2 year old is gay?

Jolene: I don’t know, shut your trap and listen. Anyways, life was pretty uneventful for me until being accepted into the I course last year.

Amelia: ANYWAYS, NOW THAT THAT’S OUT OF THE WAY: HOBBIES!

Amelia: I’ve been getting into full on nerf battles with Mathias from 3-A and Mr. Jones, the teacher of 1-A, recently, and it’s been great.

NOTE: I’m not saying you can’t do this and I’m not here to police your speech, but if you do. I & others have all rights to hardcore judge you.

Let’s talk about 9/11 since it’s coming up, and tragedies in general.

I feel like I shouldn’t need to say this, but I have to say this. First of all, I don’t recall 9/11 because I was born in December 2001, but my family members and my neighbors do. 9/11 was a national tragedy in the US that took place in 2001. It was a terrorist attack carried about Al-Qaeda that brought down the Twin Towers in NYC with two passenger airplanes and brought down two other passenger airplanes in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Roughly 3,000 people died and about 6,000 suffered from injuries; some of which are ongoing and have caused cancer. You may have seen Jon Stewart bring this up to Congress recently.

I believe that most Americans understand this is not a joke. It is not meant to be taken lightly. I know that , but what I think a lot of people don’t understand, or perhaps younger people don’t understand is that using this as a tragedy point for your personification oc or hetalia America in fanart, fanficiton, or any fan media is not cute.

I’ll be honest here when I was 12 , even though my family had lost a member due to 9/11, I did not fully understand making this a tragedy point in one of my older ocs was disrespectful. A more clear example of this using hetalia America is saying stuff like “Alfred has [xyz disorder] because of 9/11” or “Alfred has [xyz bodily scar] because of 9/11” or “Alfred changed because of 9/11”. I thought since I wasn’t making edgy “jokes” like “9/11 is a conspiracy by the government” , or since I wasn’t drawing actual people it wasn’t disrespectful. But it was. The reason it is it is because you’re using an actual tragedy that still has deep consequences to this day.

Now you might say, but didn’t you just draw the Battle of Brooklyn? Yes I did, because no one alive today 1) remembers it & 2) it doesn’t have negative consequences today. This rule obviously doesn’t apply to every event such as the Trail of Tears. The Trail of Tears, is part of attempted genocide on indigenous people in the United States. It has negative consequences to this day on indigenous communities (I’m not here to explain the Trail of Tears, you have the internet). Thus what I’m trying to say is don’t use living tragedies to give the “feels” for your character.

Now this doesn’t mean don’t talk about 9/11. What it means is don’t talk about 9/11 in regards to your personification ocs or hetalia america. Talk about 9/11 without the fan anything. Talk about it like the tragedy it is.

So to sum it up, don’t use 9/11 as the epic tragedy behind your personification oc or hetalia America because it’s just straight up disrespectful. It’s disrespectful to the victims. It’s disrespectful to the family of the victims. It’s disrespectful to anyone who knew those victims. It’s disrespectful to me and to thousands of others.
