I'm so sorry, I need to go into Lore...

So... there isn't much power scaling in lore right. Venti says of himself he's the weakest Archon and that's kind of it (I think he's lying btw, but that's beside the point). I think Nahida and Rukkhadevata don't have any show cases of their raw power/strength, I think creating the Rain Forest is Rukkhadevata's doing. We don't yet have much info on Egeria and Furina. Makoto wasn't particularly powerful but a great strategist and good with her people, Makoto was the brains, and Ei the brawns. Ei's biggest achievement probably is killing Orobashi and cutting Yashiori Island up in the process. I assume she's slain a few other gods too during the Archon war, but I thinkkkk, there has been no explicit mention of it. But perhaps she's quite near the top. Murata in Natlan... I could imagine they might come out on top, because sheer force/power is a pyro thing. We don't really know anything about the Tsaritsa as far as I know.

And then there's Morax...

terraformed Guyun Stone Forest by hurling mountains at other gods

terraformed/raised Mt. Tianheng after Liyue was flooded so his people would be safe

terraformed Jeuyun Karst

one shot some random god that abused the fuck out of Xiao

ruthlessly killed numerous other gods (confirmed in lore)

dug out some random geo dragon, giving him sight like it's no big deal

creates life that somehow can flattens mountains (mind you how special the art of khemia seems to be for creating life, looking at you albedo who's oh so powerful for creating crystal flies no shade I love you bby)

was still more than confident to take on Osial, should Liyue not have been able to protect itself

BUT, ya know what had him struggle?

Azhdaha. Zhongli does state that he had a hard time confronting the eroded Azhdaha, "let alone seal him away" (Zhongli's own words). He called 3 other Adepti to help and they still struggled, so in the end Azhdaha's benevolence won, remembered the contract he had with Morax and he let himself get sealed away willingly. And see, the thing is; while Azhdaha has quite a few titles that mighttttt imply that he is the Geo Dragon Sovereign - Like, he's refered to as "Sealed King of the Geo Dragons", "Dragon King", "Lord of Vishaps", which is in line with how the Hydro Dragon is refered to, as well as the other sovereigns. (Zhongli does refer to him as THE Earth Dragon) - there's no confirmation yet. But you could probably make it a case that he's at the very least related, or part of the same race as the Sovereigns.

WHICH GIVES YOU TWO OPTIONS,

If you think he's the Geo Dragon, then - Geo Dragon without his full draconic Authority still overpowers an insanely powerful god + Gnosis + 3 Adepti.

He's "just" some minor Geo Dragon (Possibly similar'ish to Dvalin), that still overpowers a god + Gnosis + 3 Adepti, which should speak volume about the sheer power of a Sovereign that has their full power.

... So like, I don't doubt that if Neuvillette gets his full power back by the end of 4.2's Archon quest, he's very much dwarfing Zhongli and would be, at least among the currently known/playable characters, the most powerful one.

archon rank list! genshin spoilers all that jazz. its based off of actions and stuff so its not just opinion based soo unless you have a rebuttal built on logic and shit don't even.

1- nahida!!!! bby did not deserve to be locked up the way she was. the fact that she was still doing her best to help save her nation when it was in danger even though barely anybody worshipped her and she was not all that powerful, and the fact that she protected dunyarzad during the samsara loop to ensure she would not die because of the way the sages wereusing sumeru to harvest dreams. the fact that she did her best to break the people of her nation out of the samsara loop, the fact that even after she erased greater lord rukeddevetra from existence and therefore took her place in history and yet the timeline did not change to have her work any differently. the fact that she saved apep from her suffering even though she was actively threatening violence against her. nahida. slayed.

2- venti. i love him! i do! he actively protects the people of his nation even though he leaves them to govern themselves since yk. archon of freedom and stuff. he is actually doing his job and improving the lives of citizens by keeping them from danger in the shadows, even though he could get all sorts of better treatment if he were revealed as the archon he does not actively try to take that glory or reveal himself to be their god unless it is necessary for the protection of the people, he accepts their worship from the shadows and helps them when he must. you go venti.

3- focalors. i have so many bones to pick with her like toruting furina with thee acting stuff but at least shes not as bad as zhongli and ei. she did her job in protecting the people and saving them from celestia's prophecy (girlboss) and she destroyed the throne of the hydro archon in the process to ensure fontaine's freedom (girl boss.) i cannot argue with her motives, but the fact that she had to put furina through like. incredible torture and was not actively present within the nation wasn't great. at least she had neuvillette there to be able to protect them should they need it but still!

4- zhongli. he abandoned his fucking nation by FAKING HIS DEATH. in what world is that a good idea? hes their god for fucks sake, they're going to be so upset? literally terrible. and a falling dragon corpse from the sky onto a large gathering of people is stupid, he could have easily crushed someone. not only that but the idea was to fake having been MURDERED which, clearly hes going to send a whole nation on a revenge path. he did not think that through properly, AND HE DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE HIMSELF ANY MONEY??? to be fair though, letting your nation move on to become independent of you as a god and giving them the oppurtunity to test if they still need your defense while being able to step in if necessary is fairly solid. this is the only reason he is ranked above the raiden shogun.

5- ei. i dont even need to explain this but i will. she attacked and persecuted her people during the vision hunt decree and completely ruined their lives and put their visions ON DISPLAY on a STATUE, locked herself in the plane of euthimiya and abandoned her friends (yae miko), completely ignorant of what was happening in her nation and blindly following what political informants did.

Omg kiki hi!!! You have no idea that i just like buried my face to a pillow cuz oh gee golly gosh oh sovereigns above this girl. THIS GIRL.

[Obvious spoilers for fontaine archon quests and furinas story quest]

Literally abnormal about her she deserves all in the world. We have hands to give furina pats on the head we can speak so we can tell furina she did it i am so jdhdjsyshjsjsjsn waaaaaaaaa

I love how they paced her characterization throughout each patch, idk i just feel like its well paced. The first patch shows that shes all bark and no bite. All the flare all the drama with neuvillette being the one truly working the system (you can see it in the patch art too!). I just couldnt understand how she is oh so shamelessly show offy when she literally has nothing to show for but her title like damn i felt bad for neuvillette for dealing with her. But the way she falters and hesitates, just makes you think theres something else going on. But i still felt like she HAS a bite, she just for some reason doesnt use it so i was just expecting her to break and show power later on.

Then act two. Man i never wanted to punch a character so bad like arlecchino LEAVE HER ALONE MAN SHE DOES NOT DESERVE THIS SLANDER. Its when i start to think shes not the god after all. She keeps saying she has plans but its 'secret', as much as i wanna defend her arlecchino was right. She has nothing to show for, she has no plan, no act to help fontaine so what is there to defend? But she CLEARLY cares for the prophecy so WHY ISNT SHE DOING ANYTHING. Arlecchino saying that furina might not be a god after all just makes me even more insane about the plot. Like okay theres no way the gnosis isnt in the oratrice and neuvillette is the sovereign so what the hell is going on with furina???

Then the final patch. Omg oh god oh golly oh my lords above. I hate how even as she got duped into a trial she is still trying to keep up her bark. The way she says 'THE TRIAL OF THE HYDRO ARCHON SHALL NOW BEGIN' with so much fervour like she is STILL trying. It made me think shes gonna reveal some super important bg plot shes been working on to make us go 'wow she really is a great archon'. BUT THEN. BUT THEN SHE GETS OUTED FOR NOT KNOWING WHY THE ORATRICE LET OUT A WRONH VERDICT, NOT WANTING TO SHOW OFF HER HYDRO POWERS, AND BEING AFFECTED BY PRIMORDIAL SEA WATER???

Like at that point i think furina youre done. Its over. But the way she cried and begged for people to believe her still WAAAAAAAA. LIKE GIRL WHY ARE YOU STILL TRYING STOP THIS HURTS TO WATCH. Then she goes full catatonic once the trial is over urgh bby no :(

AND THEN THE WHOLE FOCALORS LORE DROPPED AND LITERALLY EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE, ALL HER DRAMA AND BARK MAKES SENSE. AND THE WAY IT REVEALS THAT NOT ONLY DID FURINA ***NOT*** KNOW FOCALORS' PLAN, IT ALSO MEANS SHE THOUGHT THAT HER FAILING THE TRIAL MEANS ***SHE*** WAS GONNA BE THE REASON FONTAINE WAS GONNA DROWN. AAAAAAAGAFAFDAADFAGAAGSHS

I hate how focalors specified that furina had to act like 'how people think gods act' and not just 'act like a god'. I hate it. I hate how she was trying to be nice but in fear that itll blow her cover she had to shine brighter to blind the people, when there was nothing to show underneath it. Dies dies dies!!!!!!!!!

As much as i hate that they didnt really show furina moving out of the palais mermonia. I think its fitting. How shes so tired of all the flair she has to put up she really just... wanted to leave. Be done with it. No flare just slips away silently.

Im glad that she and neuvillette is still in good terms, i think atleast after 500 years of putting an act together + neuvi finding out the shit she had to go through, he'd atleast have some form of camaraderie or respect for her. The fact that he is supportive of her being involved in a performance after she moved out is so waaaaaa she deserves it!!!! I think its clear that despite her needing a break, performing what she wants is something she likes to do and im glad she has something thats entirely her own going on for her :)

Also also la vaguelette is the song ever. I hope hyv is happy that they made a song that can make me cry 1 second in. Literally best song after yunjins opera song. They did not hold back and my heart weeps everyday.

Also the fact that now she just eats macaroni everyday is a mood. Boop

bsd characters and what visions + weapons i think they would have in genshin impact

feat — dazai, chuuya, kunikida, kenji, yosano, kyouka, atsushi, akutagawa (all seperate)

warnings — manga spoilers(?)

a/n — this took so much longer than it needed to. ALSO, why did i only just find out that BSD SEASON 4 WAS ANIMATED?? WHAT??

also do ya'll want me to make a part 2, with the hunting dogs, decay of angels.. and like other characters?? lmk if you would enjoy that!!

i think DAZAI would definitely be a hydro catalyst 😭. first of all, his iconic suicide book is very fitting and would be the catalyst. with hydro, it just suits him,,, also including the fact that he’d probably attempt to drown himself with it every few seconds. also, y'all, take a quick few seconds to imagine him having an attack animation similar to KOKOMI'S. he would sooo move around like a little mermaid, splashing his enemies for shits and giggles.

i also think he would be more of a support character, temporarily nullifying his opponent’s abilities and then switching him out for the dps. of course since his power is so op, we can’t forget the special hydro cooldown that lasts for an eternity 😍.

CHUUYA, i believe, would possess a pyro vision. along with either a polearm or a sword but im leaning more towards him being a character who attacks quickly with a polearm. also, his idle animation would totally him being super dramatic with him twirling his hat around and having his cape blowing in the wind.

i feel like his attack animations would be really aggressive with half of his monologue just yelling, lmao. countering dazai, he would be a dps which makes him the perfect character to be paired with him - including the constant vaporise reactions. (they’re soulmates, your honour).

next, we have KUNIKIDA. he is definitelyyy a geo catalyst, and you can’t change my mind. his little ideals book would of course be his catalyst. other than the fact it fits his whole colour aesthetic, i think contracts and ideals are similar in one way or another — with the strict sense of there being order, hence why i chose geo.

referring to his overall abilities in the manga, his whole thing is being able to create anything and it’s quite resourceful. i see it as being a supportive ability as he has limits, so naturally his place in the party would be support. possibly even sub dps? let’s say the more constellations you have of him, the easier it would be for him to be built as a sub-dps.

KENJI (the best char and my bby) would have a dendro vision, and his choice of weapon would be a claymore. he’s a farmer and dendro is quite literally nature and shit. claymore, because it fits him the most out of all the weapons and additionally, you’ve definitely got to be hella strong to even wield one and his ability IS super strength… so there’s that. just imagine him happily swinging around a claymore with zero effort at all.

i honestly think he would be a really versatile character… maybe like bennett? for example, healing could be one of his passive talents, or it could come from his burst. like you could either build him as a healer/support or a damage dealer. i’d say his main role would be sub-dps with a long cooldown as in the manga, it’s canon he has to be hungry in order for his ability to work — which means that he’d have to wait.

YOSANO would be a cryo claymore. honestly, cryo just fits her vibe really well. manga spoilers, when she was in the port mafia with mori she was definitely going through the most traumatic points in her life which lead to her feeling unloved and abandoned due to the treatment she received from mori and the overall environment of where she was forced to work — so that’s my explanation for cryo. yosano is usually seen holding this big ass knife, and a claymore is a bigass sword, so naturally i chose her to wield a claymore as it has the closest resemblance to her canon weapon that she uses.

of course, her having a healing ability in the manga makes her the healer of the party.. who would’ve guessed!!! one of her movesets would probably be something where she has to damage the teammate she’s healing and then heal them straight afterwards. idk if it makes sense, but let’s say she places something that gradually removes the character on the field’s health, and when their hp reaches a certain point, the object will burst and heal them + the whole team (including herself). it’d be kinda dumb in game but thats all i can think of lol.

ignore how long this is, yosano is a very complex character - and if you guys want, i wouldn’t mind doing a character analysis of her, or anyone tbh.

KYOUKA would be a cryo sword user. the sword is self explanatory — with her ability being a phantom who wields a sword. for the cryo vision, her ability is called ‘demon snow’ so naturally i would pick that. not only does her ability associate with the cold, ice, etc… but judging from her past and personality, i’m even more confident in picking a cryo vision.

she’d probably be a main dps and her moveset would be similar to razor's, with the wolf thing appearing and attacking alongside him in electro. i’m imagining demon snow appearing from behind once you press her burst and attacking simultaneously with her, embedding the enemies with cryo. ALSO, she’d definitely have an alternate sprint, like ayaka’s because she's just cool and majestic like that.

okay, realistically RANPO would not have a vision 💀…bc like, yk, the whole fake ability thing LOL. but for the sake of this, i’m gonna say he would have an anemo vision, paired with being a catalyst user. my reasoning for this is that, firstly, anemo is simply the most fitting for him out of all the elements BUT also, anemo characters are very… whimsical. and ranpo is basically the definition of whimsical. (anemo characters are just better)

for catalyst, ranpo is a lazy fuck and it’d be funny to imagine him just standing in the middle of the battlefield throwing out long ranged attacks and whooshes of wind from a single position on the arena. from this, he would most likely be a support character and POSSIBLY… a sub dps. it would get more plausible the more constellations you’d have of him. also, i CANNOT imagine this man wielding any type of weapon 💀. just think about him flailing a sword around or struggling to pick up a claymore. my man is a PRINCESS.

omg also, i just came to a realistion. he'd basically be a heizou <3 ..but successful.

ATSUSHI would be a pyro sword user. THIS DECISION WAS REALLY HARD.. but he’s just got that fire in him, you know. i also thought about labelling him as a cryo user, judging from his past, but it didnt really fit him and besides - hes a passionate guy; about the detective agency, fighting and all that.

him being a sword user is mostly just the process of elimination, and it isn’t that bad of a choice either. being a sword or a claymore user would work for him, but ultimately i chose a quicksword because… he’s just a scrawny little guy. (ignoring the fact that he can literally turn into a ravenous beast)

AKUTAGAWA would be an electro bow. his rashoumon is super cool, and it looks sort of electric. ALSO, him being electro, goes so amazingly well with atsushi being pyro. the pyro and electro reaction is overload and it sort of creates a big knockback explosion, WHICH FITS THEM SO WELL? they have clashing ideal’s and powers, and they’re also on like, opposing sides — but in the end it makes sense, and it works for them. also one thing, i love how they’re literally designed to be a pair. in the manga atsushi has a black streak in his hair, contrasting aku’s white ends. i wish bones added that to his design <;/3

anyways, i was going to choose either bow or catalyst for him, but in the end i chose bow. i can imagine his ability to look somewhat similar to some of sara’s animations, and besides i think he would really rock being a bow user anyway. however, i dont think his skillset would be RELIANT on it, like ganyu. he would be more like venti, his worth mostly coming from his normal attack and burst.

In an undisclosed location, the Fatui Harbinger walked circles around the woman slumped on the ground, his subordinate standing close to her with the cryo vision in their hands, sometimes sneaking glances at the secretary.

Her cloak was drawn over her, hiding the bonds sealing her hands behind her back and the fur partially concealing the straps over her mouth.

Blue eyes hushed around at a sound; a gurgling snap behind a bush; a bird falling from the sky dead; a crystalfly losing the energy needed and shattering in the air.

Childe giggled, his blood warming up and the familiar hydro blades materialising in his hands. Coviello didn't share the same enthusiasm, trying to erase their presence, thoughts racing as they tried to pierce together what was happening.

They did knew Il Capitano, not personally, but enough Fatui Soldiers talked about him reverantly - He was a just man, honoring the spirit of soldiers and the vow of a knight.

Coviello snapped their eyes open, scrambling to get up and their hands fumbling for their weapon, searching their surroundings, feelings of dread persisting-

"Heyy, Kiddo. Relax."

They looked up, taken aback. The Lord Harbinger was smiling; one arm splattered with blood and dirt hanging on one side, one deep gash burned in the chest from the right shoulder to the left side of the hip, remains of a nosebleed and even his eyes smudging the face and coloring teeth in red.

"Lord- What-"

"Don't worry your head around that, Coviello."

Hints of madness, of the abyss and the wrath of gods shining in those dead eyes, the Fatui operative only nodded and helped their Lord Harbinger to get back to a Fatui Stronghold, not seeingnoticing the unnatural afterimages of the world correcting itself once more, the land arround not even scared from a fight t̴h̸a̵t̴n̶e̴v̴e̸r̸h̸a̸p̸p̸e̵n̶e̸d̶-

"Darling you shouldn't have~"

A kiss landed on the mask and the woman smiled, winding her arms around her lover. A grumble wrathangerHATE sounded out loud in the room and lingered like the fragrance of a flower blooming from a corpse.

i still have a Problem with siegewinnes design being more humanoid then ur average melusine but shes fucking adorable,i lover her(i also love that she got a gun)

am happy that i was righr with the fact that arlecchino has a pyro vision so my hypothesis that my sister kept disagreeing on is right, genshun character indeed have smth that has the colour of their element(that smth being most of the time gems)

Eya’s Apartment on Coruscant 20 BBY

Eya wakes up from their dream in cold sweat, their fists balled up so tight that the knuckles are pale pink surrounding their mereve beskar.

They sigh deeply, forcing themself to breathe slower, not to wake up Kad that sleeps next to them, Kad, who never gets peaceful rest in the trooper barracks and at least deserves to get it here.

Even after a whole day spent with their best friend on the planet, even after smoking some spice to relax, even after feeling Kad’s calm presence beside them as they fell asleep, the nightmares still come. Eya is so tired of it.

A small hand wraps around their wrist, and now they feel guilty in addition to sweaty and scared and exhausted. Kad deserves more rest, not to be woken up by nightmares that are only Eya’s own fault.

It is quiet for a moment before Kad’s sleepy voice mumbles words into the pillow.

“Something horrible happened to you,” he says softly. His hand settles gently on Kyreya’s shoulder. They can’t look at him.

Eya shudders and closes their eyes, the cybernetics resounding inside their head like an echo. Or a reminder. Their hands curl into fists once more, and nothing has ever seemed louder than the whir of their robotic fingers.

“…no,” Eya answers finally, their voice barely audible. “No, nothing terrible happened to me. It was me. I was the horror that was happening to people. Everything you see, everything you assume to be someone else’s fault… it’s all mine. Caused only by my actions, my decisions, my mistakes.”

“But the scars-“ Kad tries to say, but Eya interrupts him.

“The scars were caused by a bomb.” Their voice stutters as unwelcome memories flood in, but Eya has had a lot of practice keeping their voice steady. Still, an undertone of regret and pain shines through. Kad does not comment on it. Eya takes a deep breath. “By a bomb I laid, an explosion I triggered. Like I said… no one’s fault but my own. And my mistake wasn’t getting caught in the fire. My mistake was ever going there in the first place. Letting it get this far, letting myself become… what I did.”

Eya breathes, deep in, deep out. Gods, how they are wishing for a hydro-cig right now, as the memory of smoke and death coats their lungs. Their hearts stumble when there is a flash of something buried so deep they had nearly convinced themselves it was forgotten; the memory of tendrils that close around their own, the pain that floods their mind as they do, drowning them mercilessly. The cut of the blade, then the dark blood that clouds the water until Eya cannot see anymore, cannot speak anymore, can only inhale their own blood and try not to choke on it. The voice that gurgles through the water, weak but audible.

Help us.

And Eya’s own voice, so thick with tears they do not dare shed that they can barely answer, can barely speak the sacred words that seem to have lost all their meaning mere moments ago. But Eya says them anyways.

I cannot. I am death. And I will watch you die.

The soft slide of a familiar hand interrupts Eya’s dark thoughts. Worried eyes meet their own when they look down to where Kad’s tan hand tethers them to reality, pressing against one of their hearts.

“You went far away,” Kad simply says.

“Not far enough,” Eya mumbles. Their tendrils tremble as they absorb Kad’s emotions. Worry always tastes so bittersweet.

“Hey,” Kad murmurs. “Hey, you’re here now. You made it.”

“I did. But- Kad’ika, maybe I shouldn’t have, maybe I didn’t deserve to make it-“

“How can you say that?” All at once, the worry Eya could taste on Kad’s skin is pushed aside by the bitter aroma of seething anger. “How can you say that to me? As if it wouldn’t be- as if I would be better off without you here, as if I could be the same now that I’ve gotten to know you!”

“YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT I’VE DONE!” Kyreya’s voice is so cold they nearly don’t recognise it as their own, so angry and lonely. “You don’t know what I’ve done to get here- who I was before. You don’t know any of it, so don’t pretend you are capable of forgiveness for things you know nothing about. The Ocean Spirit should have let me drown right alongside them.”

Kad does not say anything. But his rough hand comes up to cradle Eya’s face, his warm body pressing against theirs. Eya’s shoulders shake, but they do not pull away. Instead, they stay still, so still as Kad wraps himself around them, his breath warm against Eya’s cool skin.

“Feel me,” Kad says intently. “Feel me, taste me, breathe me in. Let me bathe you in my love until you feel whole again.”

Eya’s tendrils move before they have fully processed what is happening. They sneak around Kad’s shoulders, curling up with gentle pressure. Their whole being is flooded with warmth and light; a soft shimmering blanket of affection that covers them in nothing but love. Eya sighs deeply, the relief that washes over them palpable in the air.

“Hmm, bit better?” Kad hums, and Eya nods quietly.

“Better.” They hesitate for a second, and Kad senses the moment of discomfort even as the tendrils pull him closer. This way of being comforted… it is something so deeply ingrained in Nautolan culture that Eya never thinks anything of it - of the touches, the closeness, of sharing a bed and letting themself be held just as they hold Kad when he dreams of battle, as all soldiers tend to do.

Humans are not like that, though, Kyreya has learned. To humans, touch means something. It means more. Sometimes, it means something Eya cannot give, at least not to Kad.

“Kad, you know-” they start, but he quickly interrupts them.

“You know what this is. What we are.” He gently presses his forehead to Eya’s, and there is that feeling again - of being loved unconditionally, as family does. Family. “Vode darasuum.”

“Vode darasuum,” Eya repeats, relieved that Kad was not offended by their hesitation. It would be easy to get the wrong idea if someone walked in on them now - wrapped up in each other, Eya’s tendrils curling around Kad’s neck and back. But this is not romantic, it never has been, and it never will be. They are family of the strangest kind - coincidental, but chosen nonetheless.

Kad moves, and Eya scrunches their nose. They don’t want to break the peaceful silence, not after all this, but-

“You’re laying on my tendril.”

“What? Oh, kriff-“ Kad shifts and rolls over, his head bumping against Eya’s chin. He elbows them in the stomach in his haste, and though the air is knocked from Eya’s lungs they start to laugh.

“‘m sorry,” Kad mumbles, his expression so sheepish that it just makes Eya laugh even harder. It sounds like oceans rumbling when they laugh like this, like waves crashing against each other and also like the quiet rustle of a creek, all mixed into one.

Kad looks like Fives, that very first night they met, when he spilled his drink all over Eya. Each trooper is so different from his brothers, but in some regards, they are so alike that it makes Eya hurt. An army of perfect soldiers, bred to fight. Only they are so much more.

Kyreya looks down, burying their face in the soft curls that cover Kad’s head. They smile.

“That’s okay,” they finally say, pulling back to look down at Kad who bites his lip in worry.

“No, I hurt you, I didn’t mean-“

“It was my own fault. I know humans- or all those without headtails actually- tend to forget they’re there sometimes. I promise, it’s fine.” Eya sighs deeply, and gently pulls Kad back against their chest. “Just… lay like this and you’ll be fine.”

Minutes pass, and Kad does not move from the position Eya has draped him into; instead he lays stiff as a board in Eya’s embrace until they groan in frustration.

“Okay, this is worse, man. You can move, just… be careful.”

Kad grumbles and shifts, pulling his arm in to lay across Eya’s.

“Do you ever feel weird about this?” Eya asks quietly, once again contemplating how familiar they are with each other. How easy it is. “Have you ever- do you ever want… more? Or something different?”

For a moment, Kad does not answer, and if it were not for the mild tension in his muscles, or the nervous scent that surrounds him, Eya might have thought he had fallen asleep.

“I- No,” he finally answers. “You know… you know, I don’t want that. Not with anyone.”

“Oh.” Eya frowns for a second, trying to understand his words. “Not with anyone, huh? You never told me that part.”

“I… yeah.” Kad carefully twists around in Eya’s arms so he can look at them as he speaks, his brown eyes blinking up at their mismatched ones with uncertainty.

“I only just figured it out a while ago. I didn’t know that was like… an option.”

“Mhm,” Eya hums softly. “I’m glad you figured it out, vod’ika. Glad you felt safe enough to tell me.”

“Kal knows,” Kad admits. Eya is not surprised. The twins share everything.

“They probably figured it out before you did, huh?”

Kad laughs, but he sounds a little sad.

“I- yeah. Sort of.” He shrugs and curls into Eya’s arms again, pressing his cheek to their chest. “But you know them. I’ve never loved anyone more, but they’re not… not the most sensitive. And I wasn’t worried about how you’d react, not really, but there was still this odd fear, this… hesitation that had nothing to do with you and everything with me and-“

“Hey,” Eya interrupts him gently. “You don’t have to explain anything to me. Not if you don’t want to.”

Kad exhales shakily, and for a moment, Eya is reminded that he is so young. The war has made the troopers age faster than any Kaminoan technology could, and yet, he is younger than Eya. A war may be worth lifetimes of peace, but there are some things the troopers just miss out on, a normality they never had.

“Whatever you want to tell me is fine,” Eya murmurs. “But there is no pressure. Go at your own pace.”

Kad huffs against their chest, then nods quietly.

“Let’s go to sleep, vod’ika. Tomorrow we can talk more if either of us feel like it.” Eya hesitates, then lets their tendril gently stroke Kad’s cheek. “We both need rest. It’s been a long day. Thank you for keeping me company, Kad’ika. Nephto knows I needed it.”

Kad presses his forehead against them harder for a second.

“Of course, Eya.”

And though the nightmares never quite go away for either of them, at least they have each other’s presence to comfort them through the painful memories.

Im glad you her since she is my sweet bby （＾∀＾） .Kokoro is one of my more recent OCs that i have, so im still making her, which is why i thought asking a feedback but after reading your feedback, yeah you’re right. She’s my OC, someone i love and makes me happy, i shall do whatever i want with her! Which is make her have a happy life ^_^ (and make her unintentionally torment Gorou, she lives with Yae Miko for god sake) I also decided to let Kokoro have a hydro vision, while there are many points that i like with Kokoro having a dendro vision. Something about her having a hydro one feels right idk why tho :p (but she would actually get along with Nahida really well, crap now im reconsidering, guess it’s back to the drawing board then (⁠ب⁠_⁠ب⁠) ) why must i be so indecisive about an fictional character’s element (⁠ノ⁠ಥ⁠,⁠_⁠｣⁠ಥ⁠)⁠ノ⁠彡⁠┻⁠━⁠┻

Also PLEASE DO HONKAI STAR RAIL IF YOU EVER GET THE CHANCE TO DO SO, the found family in this one is STRONG. Like there’s the Astral Express which is just (≧∇≦). I wont spoil anything so you can enjoy it firsthand but the ideas and potential for platonic stuff is HIGH

Also im honestly excited and scared for Fontaine with how the trailer set the plot. Lynette’s death!?!? Lyney’s ARREST!? CHILDE’S ARRIVAL!?!?! What in archons name is going on!?!?? I honestly feel bad for Freminet since 1. His sister is “dead” 2. His brother is the suspect and possible murderer of said sister’s death. Really not a good time for him huh? Also can i talk about Navia for a second? I love her. She just gives off Chaotic good vibes which she probably has. I first thought she was gonna be like a phantom thief character but then the 4.0 trailer came out and there are security guys with her which now makes me think she is some sort of bodyguard for hire??? I just love her and i like to imagine her lovingly teasing my Fontaine OC for her famous pastries (i might talk about her here, so keep an eye out for that)

yes!!!! do whatever makes you happy!!!! and indecisiveness is totally okay, too. you can switch backk and forth until you feel completely content! there's nothing wrong with changing up details and whatnot. you'll eventually settle on something that feels right <3 for me personally, i often go through many phases where i change important character details. it's usually while i'm writing their backstory or just their story in general that something seems to click in my brain, and all of a sudden, i have decided on the detail i wasn't sure about.

I GOT INTO HSR YESTERDAY ACTUALLY i am having so much fun with this game... it's so pretty??????? the characters are so dynamic????????? genshin feels so flat compared to hsr which is interesting to me, but hopefully hoyoverse takes steps to fix that lifeless feeling that genshin has sometimes in-game! or maybe i'm just burnt out? who knows! either way, i love hsr. it aligns with my interests so well.

CHILDE IS MR. WORLDWIDE HE IS EVERYWHERE AHSKSJSJGJFJ tbh i cannot WAIT for fontaine, i am so so so excited to see what this archon quest has in store.

i'm thinking about making a fontaine oc myself actually. lawful evil to lawful good kind of vibes, like.... they're evil-aligned at first but slowly change for the better once they realize how much they are hurting their beloved people. character development <3 but i would love to hear about yours, so i will definitely keep an eye out!
