I’ve been posting a lot saying stay ff abt writing, (and honestly the Keegan brothers bsf thingy is still a wip) but I just had some thoughts about Keegan.

TATTOOS? — KEEGAN RUSS x FEM!READER

Summary: while Keegan’s tired self is asleep and your bored you can’t help but give him some tattoos.

Keegan had been on leave for a while now, which he deserved, you two had been making the most of him being back for now. You’d get bored from time to time since he was gone a lot, and it was really boring without your man. And you couldn’t exactly get a dog.

So you cooked a lot in your free time, drew, colored, watched almost everything on earth. So you had a lot of hobies now, and now that Keegan was back it’s less boring, having him be around and doing things like actually having a conversation with someone other than family on the phone made you so happy.

But Keegan’s a hard working man, he does so many things, on and off the field that he gets tired (at this point your surprised he hasn’t gotten gray hairs)

It’s really surprising

But due to all the work he does, he’s really tired, and already so sleep deprived, so he sleeps a lot. Even a tired Keegan walks through the door ready to have you ass up, but you know now that he’s a different type of tired when all he wants to do is sleep.

“Keegs?” You whispered, unsure if he was asleep or not, a groan was his response so you laid there next to him as he slept, it was barely 7 pm and he’d been outside working on your car, but he looked like a old man having his bedtime at 7.

The whole bed moved as he laid back, having his bare torso showing. Now, Keegan doesn’t have tattoos and he’s never had a thought of getting one, but the small thought in your brain of him actually having one, makes your mind go hazy.

Either way it didn’t matter, he was hot with or without it, and even more adorable when he was sleeping peacefully. But a girl can dream, right?

With that dream in your mind, and a pen on the nightstand next to you, you began drawing designs on your boyfriends stomach, you now hated his abs for how hard it was to draw on them. But that was besides the point.

You drew a couple of things, your name in a interesting looking “font” and drew a small airplane on the side of his stomach as to not make anything to big, or fuck the drawing up. Eventually you began working on a flower, a nice simple lily, it was simple but it looked very “professional” and detailed. Thanks to the tutorial you’d watched a while back.

You began connecting it with another flower with more leaves till there were four flowers in total drawn on him, he hadn’t even moved the whole time. Maybe he’d woken up and just didn’t want to say anything? Nope, he was sound asleep as you checked his face.

As the hour passed by your started getting sleep too. You laid there watching him before finally falling asleep along with Keegan. One of the most peaceful sleeps you’d had. (since every night without having Keegan wasn’t amazing)

What only felt like a quick second was actually hours and you woke up to the sun rising again, Keegan was still sound asleep when you opened your eyes, the sight was weird almost, he always woke up very early and ended up in the kitchen drinking coffee as he couldn’t sleep again even if he was still tired.

You glanced at the drawing on his stomach which had t looked like it faded at all so you assumed he wasn’t tossing and turning at night.

You were still tired and managed to fall back asleep for a while before waking up to movement. You opened your eyes when you felt Keegan’s arm move, he groaned a bit and rubbed his eyes.

“Morning keegs”you said, moving a little to remove your head from his chest, he frowned a bit at that and finally looked at you “g’morning princess” he said, he hadn’t noticed his new drawings yet.

You leaned up a little and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips, he seemed unhappy with that and leaned into you for another kiss before pulling away.

“What time did I fall asleep yesterday?” He asked, the rasp in his voice becoming more apparent now. “7, 7:30” you said and sat up, he hummed and it didn’t sound happy, but not mad either,“it seems like your boyfriend has a curfew” he said jokingly as he mentions the other nights he feel asleep in the afternoon.

You let out a chuckle before saying “yeah, I’m dating an old man” and now he was the one laughing, he had such a sweet and cute laugh.

“Well princess” he sat up and placed his forehead on yours “your old man gonna need someone to help in the shower than, right?” He said and gave you another kiss.

When he finally got up passing the mirror he finally took notice to the ink on his abs. He stared at himself for a while before he turned back to you as you seemed to be staring at him as well, “what?” You smiled “I like your new tattoos” you said and got up off the bed. He smiled at that, turning his attention back to the mirror.

“They’re not terrible” he said “very, nice” he finished as his hand grazed his stomach. “I like this a lot” he pointed at the one with your name, “love it” he corrected himself.

It made you giggle as he placed his hands on your hips to lean in and kiss you again. He pulled away only inches apart from you “This is what you do when I’m asleep?” He asked going back to continue the kiss, you nodded into the kiss.

Well, I cried, thinking abt it so I wrote this WIP, tell me if I should finish and edit it.

Thalia walked back to the nearby clearing in the forest. Her arms swinging beside her, her sweaty short, black hair contained by her circlet. Quiver containing her extra arrows and quiver heavy on her back.

Her other sisters carried the body of a deer they killed when hunting for the Teumissian fox.

It was a good hunt today. They had made progress on tracking the gods damned fox.

But something weighed on her mind, making her anxious and borderline paranoid.

A hand on her shoulder startles her. It was Naomi.

A sigh of relief escaped Thalia. She knew she was probably just acting irrational and it was probably just demigod nerves making her feel this way.

But the words escaping Naomi's mouth made her freeze harder than any nerves could, "Hermes is here to see you. He has a letter," she said in an almost shaky voice.

Weird, A god other than Lady Artemis wanting to talk to her. That didn't happen often. Especially with Artemis in Olympus trying to convince Zeus to get Apollo reinstated to godhood.

Hermes looked nervous, it set her even more on edge.

"Hey~~ Thalia" Hermes swallowed, "you might want to sit down to read this letter"

"Trust me, my lord, there is nothing that can phase me enough to have to sit down to read it. Besides, I can read the signature. It's from Reyna, what news could she have that prompted a personal visit from a god?"

Privately, she felt a heaviness set on her shoulders, like the sky would fall on her shoulders any time. And from what Annabeth and Percy told her that was no fun.

Suddenly, something hit her, there is only one person about whom Reyna could have sent serious enough news for a godly visit.

Hermes was still fidgeting as Thalia ripped open the envelope, maybe a but aggressively.

As her eyes tracked the words, all the air left her lungs.

Some of them are just background actors and doing tiny gigs yet still catch a sight of the 9181827771 FOOT MONSTER suspiciously known as E. Addams and Miss Wednesday "I hate people" Addams herself being all sweet and shit. I just know that many people leaked stuff about them.

That being said, what would the cast interviews be like? Wednesday isn't that communicative and Enid is but how would she act next to her co-actors? Is she also the deep, dark, mysterious girl? Would Enid like Glasses? Would they remind Wenclair of their classmates? How would interview panels go? Since Enid is there, would she attend like all of them or just choose certain ones to go to?

Wednesday is probably seen as a legend. How do people feel seeing her with a newbie, no named, possibly monster being? How does her PR Team react to the monsterfucking allegations? Has E. Addams made any comment about the allegations? Has Wednesday responded? How about her fans like Endespair?

Someone on the set of the Untitled Movie Jenna recently acted on said that no one could take their eyes off her; When acting together, I'm sure Wenclair's chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS, is anyone mesmerized or impressed by their 'acting'?

Rumours about celebrities are always being spread— it wouldn't shock me if rumours about Wenclair DOING THE DEED ON SET ACTUALLY HAPPENED. I don't think they're that risky but if they were, I feel like they would be just like, "We were quiet though, and we never get caught!"

Fans can become crazy— what if they find Enid's old blog and find about Wenclair's sweet little relationship (of being besties and roomies) and history together? As for their chemistry, Helios and Viper gives a lot of unresolved sexual tension and it's low key suffocating on set when they're doing a scene

It turns off immediately when it's done however, bc Wenclair can't be far away for too long and they're just seen chatting and enjoying things together

Also E. Addams possibly being a monster can't even be considered. They see the teeth, the claws and the ears, it's hard to think she'd be anything but a werewolf

The PR team gave up and just goes with the cliche no response. Wednesday is known for making monster esque x normie shorts in her books, they can't say anything without potentially making the allegations worse.

Endespair's fans are definitely hyped asf at the rumor of Wednesday being a monsterfucker, theyre like 'one of us!' and some even say that endespair has a shot now.

Not Wenclair being said to do the deed on set.. Wednesday is shameless but she isn't going to expose Enid like that. They can be very intimate tho, like Wednesday has a hand under Enid's shirt or inside her pockets intimate. yutro i need to hear more abt ur canon oc willis todd. please.

oh the pleasure is mine! (i feel like i have waited for this question my whole life though so it will be long. and won't even cover all of it.)

obviously, willis todd was born in the crime alley. he was raised by struggling parents and an assembly of aunts and uncles, not all blood related. his family broke down due to financial trouble. there's a whole background here i have in mind: the area used to be more dominated by heavy metal industry workers, but the companies started seeking cheap labour abroad, throwing the community into an almost decade old crisis and causing them to disperse while also trying to gentrify the area (partly by exploiting the queer & artistic spots in the area that are also often found in districts with high immigrant & working class areas. that's a thing that happens in many cities) (that's offtopic but hence the fancy cinema in the area!). when willis was very young, his father was a victim of aggressive lay-offs and was soon found dead. his mother left gotham with another man when willis was 17. he did not blame her for it.

he is also a 2nd/3rd gen immigrant. i do not have a "set" ethnicity for him (although in thursday night and my other wip he is vietnamese.) it's also important to me that he speaks the language.

he's never been exceptionally good at school but he's smart and knows his way around plenty things. he spent his adolescence working many odd jobs, involving the less-legal ones mentioned in canon - "running numbers" and boosting cars, but not only. he managed to get the GED despite and enrolls into a scholarship LPN programme provided by the wayne foundation (nothing to do with bruce btw, who at the time is not involved neither in the company nor in the philantropy. it's probably based on late thomas wayne's project.) it's not his dream job but this is what is available, it's honest work and he's good enough at it. this is also how he meets sheila.

willis does fall in love with sheila, but she takes interest in him first and tbh willis also falls a bit in love with pretty much anyone and everyone he meets. he sees the best in people. they are never serious though, but when pregnancy comes into play, willis is determined to work something out. maybe sheila thinks she can be a mother for a moment too, and she is vaguely around for the first 2-3 months, except she's not being a mother anyway. and also soon she looses her freshly obtained license as a result of medical malpractice, and willis loses his scholarship because of the association with her too.

he meets shiva by accident and performs first aid on her. sandra gives him her contact details "in case he ever needs anyone gone." willis being willis thinks absolutely nothing of it.

on that note. willis just has what i'd call middle mannered boyish charm, good-spirited sense of humour and the tiniest amount of shyness/awkwardness that makes people (women especially) like him a lot. and he doesn't mind casual romance himself so his address book (or whatever the contemporary equivalent would be) grows to be quite a weird list.

he's briefly a single dad to jay before he meets catherine. they manage just fine for a while, he gets a job as a mechanic, and he is home enough for jay to speak the language too (jay does not speak it later in life though. but jay's relation to willis is a whole another topic i could write hundreds of words about). when catherine gets sick and the financial issues follow, he gets much more absent and depressed. still, every decision he takes is always motivated by the love for his family. he might not have time nor energy to entertain jay as much as he'd like to, so their past-time becomes taking naps together. and willis likes music so he sings him to sleep.

i talked about willis' parenting and his attitude irt violence here so i will not repeat myself but i do think he was relentlessly patient and that this kindness in the eyes of many made him a bit naive. but he would also stop at nothing for his family. love drives men like him into paradoxical points of no return sometimes. &he is convinced he's getting his hands bloody so that jay's never ought to be.

i think he goes on blackgate on a murder charge, because blackgate is blackgate. if he did it or not is a whole another matter; and he surely knows too much for two-face to get rid of him. perhaps contrarily to the charge, his "crime" was actually trying to take a step back and this is what got him in trouble.

first impression: so i actually knew he was gay romanceable before starting origins and went in with the intention of gay romancing him pretty much solely bc i thought it was cool you could be gay in a video game. i didn't really know much else about him going into it, so his intro was like, holy shit i'm in love with him 😂😂 and i only liked him more and more as the game went on, I’ll admit I took a lot of his humor and bravado at face value at first and the depth of character that unfolded was unexpected and really cool

impression now: it might seem like i love him a normal and reasonable amount given that i don't draw or post about him that often but that's just bc the more i like something the less and less i talk about it out of embarrassment 😅

favorite moment: so so so hard to choose 😭😭 maybe the dialogue after you kill taliesin if you push him to make the decision of what he'll do next himself:

idea for a story: gestures vaguely at the complete origins novelization and chronicle of whatever weird thing he and ailill have going on that exists perfectly in my mind and materially in unconnected 500-word scraps of dialogue that don't even amount to anything you could call a wip 🤦‍♂️i think the last thing i worked on was a bit about how on the morning after zev's recruited he has another chance to finish the assassination and kind of commits to the idea of staying instead

unpopular opinion: i think understandably and naturally people tend to focus on positives when making fan material (i do it too like 90% of my sketches are cutesy shipping art lol) but i'd also like to see more of him being flawed? like i feel like a big part of the appeal of him as a character is the 'healing from trauma and starting anew' theme, and healing is so difficult and messy and nonlinear, not something that gets resolved by falling in love over the course of like nine months, you know? but i don't really fault people for not exploring that, it's just something i'd be interested to see more of (':

favorite headcanon: i've been poking around in the toolset and looking at the differences between the m and f romances and i think there's a case to be made for a reading where there's an element of internalized homophobia and/or trauma impacting how he looks at relationships with men that goes beyond generally preferring women. his gendered dialog with men tends to be more physical than emotional, there are instances where suggestive gendered dialog alludes to violence with m wardens and not f, he makes some skeptical comments abt the idea of being in a relationship with a man. i don't have evidence at hand and i certainly don't think everyone Should think this way or anything, i just find it interesting to think about preferences and how they can be impacted by experience in the context of being bi, and how it could both complicate and enrich an mwarden relationship

Steve wakes up and his body is boiling and he's dizzy, skin hot. He struggles to his feet and gets to the phone, dials Eddie's number with unsteady fingers.

Eddie answers this time, thankfully. Sounds tired.

"...Hello?"

"Hey. It's me."

Eddie doesn't speak for a long second and Steve glances around, waits. "Eddie?"

"Yeah." He clears his throat. "What's up?" Like Steve could be calling just after midnight for a quick catch up.

"It's bad again." Steve says quietly. "Like I'm warm. And, uh, feels like I have a fever but I don't."

"Shit, really?" A quick pause. "I'm feeling okay."

Steve spirals. Just a little. "What does that mean? Am I dying?"

"You should call-"

"Don't tell me to call Owens." Steve snaps. "He'll tell me to take a fucking nap. Just come over." Steve rubs his eyes. "The side door is unlocked. I need to go back to bed."

"Steve-" Eddie says but Steve hangs up, limps back to his room. Climbs back in and the sheets feel rough on his skin and he lays flat on his stomach. Can't even rest properly.

He sits and stews and groans a little. It feels like hours have passed when he hears the sound of the door closing downstairs, and his body lights up a bit. Like it knows it's Eddie.

"Steve?"

"Up here." Steve croaks, and the sight of Eddie turning the corner at the top of the stairs... the relief is palpable. Floods Steve's whole body and he smiles even though his skin feels tight.

"You don't look so good." Eddie says, and Steve nods. Waits as Eddie steps closer, less hesitant than before.

Underneath the venom-induced haze, Steve realizes he missed Eddie. Feels it hit his chest when Eddie gives him a small yet concerned smile. His face is pale and his eyes are big but he doesn't look nearly as rough as he did before.

"I feel like shit." Steve says. "Sit down."

"Pushy." Eddie mutters, but pulls at his laces and leaves his shoes on the floor and sits on the edge of his bed. Leans his hand on the bed beside him and Steve can't help but wrap his hand around his wrist, pulls him down until Eddie gives in and lays down beside him.

"How come you're okay?" Steve mumbles, waits as Eddie pulls the blanket up over him even though he's still wearing his jeans.

"I don't know."  Eddie is on his side, looking at him and Steve's whole head hurts so he moves in, winds his arm around Eddie's waist. He feels so delightfully cool. His fingers are freezing where they brush against his bare arm.

"Fuck. It hurts." Steve mumbles, pulls Eddie's hand closer and up his side. Hears Eddie's hitch of breath and then the quiet moan as he pulls Steve against him.

"You're warm." Eddie murmurs against him, his hands trailing up Steve's back, one underneath his shirt. It's different than before, muted. Like hearing a familiar song playing in the other room. Eddie's hand catches on his shoulder, finally rests against the side of his neck and it makes the flurry of sensations in Steve's stomach rise.

"So what."

"I don't know, it's weird, right? I don't really feel... like I did before." Eddie says quietly, but he's hard against Steve's hip. And this is helping, makes the aching fade a little, and Steve wants Eddie to stop being above this.

"What, you don't want to?" Steve asks, still has Eddie's words from the first night burned into his memory. It's crossed my mind a couple times. Can tell from Eddie's face that he wants this, bites or no bites.

I have only ever written DC fic. Literally ever. I've never written fic that wasn't for DC.

What are your top five fics by kudos?

Now Kiss (Which on the one hand is very surprising to me, but on the other hand is a blessing moreso than a curse? I'm trying to look at it as a reminder that people love what I write even when I don't think it's perfect)

Know Yourself (GOD I really want to get back to this one. I want to finish it so bad, the plot of it is still mocking me from The Corkboard and I know I'm just stuck in the mud of the middle right now, which I will get through eventually)

Rooftops & Bookshops (Honestly, not that surprising to me considering it's one of my oldest and it's finished, even though I don't love the writing so much anymore and personally think I've improved significantly since writing it. That said, I do still love the plot of it and if I went back to edit, it would only be prose that I changed. But I'm NOT DOING THAT FOR THE RECORD. Probably You Hear His Voice Once and You Know It Again. Like, the ending is horny, but also it's fucked up so I'd call it the angstiest.

Do you get hate on your fic?

No, I've never gotten hate on a fic. I've occasionally gotten a few comments that were clearly people trying to be helpful by offering unsolicited advice or saying what they want to see in a story, but I disregard those because they don't bother me.

That said, I have gotten a weird amount of comments on Now Kiss that referred to the city with gendered terms despite my adamant and intentional refusal to do so in the fic, because sentient cities do not have genders and I am non-binary. I'm assuming most of these were innocuous/from people who just are used to referring to a city in female terms, but I have also gotten some feedback specifically from people who wanted me to gender the city in female terms and mentioned that it had a negative impact on their reading, which frustrated me as a person who doesn't ascribe to the gender binary, but I am not going to go on a rant abt right now because this is supposed to be a fun thing :))

Yep! Takes me like 25 years, but yeah

Yeah! I wrote Pieces of Me (Pieces of You) with Chibi for the jaytim WIP exchange, and I have a few other fics that I want to write with people, one of which is like. It's not not in the works, we've just been distracted from it 😂

What‘s your all-time favorite ship?

Okay look it CHANGES. I go through phases. That said, probably a tie between JayTim and DamiTim. The scales tip with them pretty often though, sometimes one will win over, sometimes the other will. Currently I'm in my damitim era.

What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Oh, don't even ask me that. I don't doubt my ability to finish ANY of them on principle that if I start doubting, I've already given up. That said, the most complicated/on the backburner one of them right now is What Are You Waiting For? (which is a bummer because I really am excited about it, but I try to just write what I'm feeling inspired to write in any given moment, which right now is nothing fandom related unfortunately)

What’s your writing strengths?

Hurt/comfort and angst, or so I have been told. Also, dialogue.

What’s your writing weaknesses?

Probably over-editing and being too hard on myself when it comes to my writing in the first place. Also, I really struggle with descriptions of places.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

If I did, I'd need someone to double check that everything was correct, but as long as someone else was willing and able to make sure it was right, I would!

Taking the post about your wip as an opportunity to tell you how amazing your Fic titles are! They make my super curious about these stories.

When the sun dies and the years of the roses sound like stories that will break my heart. So if you don’t mind I would like to hear a little more about them, you can ramble about anything really, I love when people share their ideas.

so the year of the roses is my yona of the dawn “fic” (i say that loosely because it’s only slightly based off of yotd — as in i used some characters but that’s it — which is a big reason i never posted it) that i’ve briefly posted about before. to be honest i love that fic soooo much but it’s that weird in between where it’s JUST reliant enough on yotd lore that i can’t make it my own but not close enough to any canon material that i feel comfortable calling it a fic 😭

the plot of year of the roses is a little convoluted ngl but i will go through and explain as much as i can!! the main character (we’ll call her mc) is the daughter of the lord of the southern province who is staying at the imperial palace in order to learn the ways of the nobility and whatnot. she is best friends with general hak (although they lowkey bully each other, they’re close when it counts) and because she’s generally a high-ranked lady it’s expected she’ll either marry hak or prince soowon. however prince soowon is married off by the king (who is his uncle) to tullia, who is from a long line of oracles but has proven to have none of their powers and is therefore a failure/mockery. shortly after the wedding, there is an assassination attempt on mc, as the assassin mistook her for princess yona. because of this, mc asks the king to let hak stay with her for the night, but hak is prince soowon’s guard in this world and the king forbids him from staying with mc.

mc takes matters into her own hands and writes to her father asking for a guard. he sends her a person thought to be a myth of the southern province: the blue dragon, shin-ah. however mc has already met him, and it’s eventually revealed she used to sneak out and spend time with him in her childhood, although she never learnt his name. he comes to the castle and protects her through everything, including prince soowon’s coup, but prince soowon deems them (mc + shin-ah) a threat and they must flee the castle. they go to the southern province but it is completely destroyed, including the fort where mc’s father lives, and they must amass forces to help princess yona take back the throne. in the meanwhile, tullia and soowon do fall in love, but tullia realizes that the way he took the throne was wrong, even if his methods were right. when mc, shin-ah, yona, and co. come back to the palace to retake the throne, hak ends up killing shin-ah. however, as mc mourns for him on the battlefield, tullia reveals that she hasn’t used her powers as an oracle yet because she has been saving them. she manages to send mc back into the time of the first blue dragon for exactly one year (the “year of the roses”), in which mc must convince him not to continue to reincarnate for the next thousand years, therefore saving shin-ah by not letting him be born as the blue dragon but as a normal person

mc finds the first blue dragon, abi, and befriends him in order to be close enough to stop him at the end of the year before she goes back to the present. they get closer and eventually fall in love, before mc finally tells abi the truth — that she is from the future and has come to stop him from reincarnating as it will cause generations of suffering. he asks her if reincarnating is the only way he can meet her again and she says yes, so he tells her he will do it. mc begs him not to as that means shin-ah will die, but abi tells her that he doesn’t care if his soul is tortured and killed for a thousand years if it means that eventually he can see her and fall in love with her again.

returning to the future, shin-ah still dies and mc realizes there’s no way to change the past — in fact, abi wouldn’t have reincarnated if not for meeting her, so in a sense it’s her fault that all of it happened, but she can’t regret it because she had that short time with abi/shin-ah’s soul.

i’m not quite sure how i would’ve ended the story from there!! but that is the gist of year of the roses. genuinely it is my favorite story idea i’ve had but i just never had the time to write it. also i’ve written a guard x lady story with song for the drowned and a (somewhat) reincarnation story with hurricanes / hummingbirds so because of that along with my previous reasons i’ll probably never continue with this one. i’ll add some excerpts though!! they’re long so you’ll have to click to read them i’m afraid.

when the sun dies was an experimental story i wrote using some plot lines of a song of ice and fire as a base but with my own characters — it was meant to be an exercise to improve my skills with fantasy HAHA…there’s a LOT that happens in it (there is a timeline i made for it that spans 26 years) so i’m not going to bother explaining but the title comes from one of the characters (who is the protagonist of his story but the antagonist of everyone else’s) being a demigod and receiving a blessing from his father that said he could only die when the sun did. unfortunately for him the main pov character manages to hatch a rukh (an enormous bird from arabic folklore) and when she rides that rukh to battle its wingspan is so enormous that it covers the sun, making it seem like the sun has died, allowing her to kill the demigod. this is a huge huge oversimplification of everything but that’s the gist of it. i’ll add excerpts of that too!! again you’ll have to click to read them though.

as for your bonus question…i think my fav titles i’ve come up with are “the silence of swans”, “hurricanes / hummingbirds”, and “when the sun dies” probably!! anyways this post got super long i’m sorry HAHHA feel free to send another ask/comment if you want me to elaborate on anything else 🫶🏻
