went to kinokuniya today in town to buy bungo stray dogs manga on a whim and came across this shelf stocked with the secret history aka probably my fav book ever and seeing the different editions was so exciting. the 30th anniversary hardcover has really great large text that's easier on the eyes and a nice golden book spine with silver embossed printed text. i really love the black version with the big white words - it feels so grand and just has that elegant feel to it ... i imagine carrying it around and reading it on public transport just to show it off lol. and then there is also the original first edition cover version below which is classic and very similar to the secondhand copy i already have. i love the dark purple back cover of this edition too!

also here's the bsd manga volumes i got

i already bought a bunch of the other volumes online (the cheaper ones which are printed for the malaysia and singapore market) but i've always been curious about the american yen press versions so i had to get at least one version and what better version to get than the very first volume? the other one is from the dead apple manga adaptation series. i only got vol 3 (because of the chuuya cover art, duh) and also because i've exceeded my monthly budget for book buying rip T_T

but on my next trip to the bookstore maybe i'll get vol 1, 2 and 4 (once it comes out) because dead apple is really cool and i love the art style

the bookstore visit was so fun i don't go out to bookstores much anymore since starting full time work but today i got to look for all those books i read digitally or those on my tbr list and i flipped through the physical copy and admired the cover art 🥰 i was super happy

#mine #ah i found osamu dazai's no longer human and i forgot to take a picture of it #but it felt so special finally seeing the book in person #it felt like i was completing some sort of bsd fan pilgrimage to the bookstore to find dazai's book #and i saw daisy jones & the six and yellowface too! #plus the manga section was really huge i loved looking at all the colourful bookspines of the volumes #there was black butler and a small section of psychopass #the bsd section was huuuuge there were so many bsd wan volumes #oh and black butler was put together with it too #i forgot to search for moriarty the patriot #but i did find the danmei section #didn't find the mdzs manhuas though maybe next time i'll go search for it

Summary:

Keiko was so lively in this one but also kinda out of breath. Probably still hyped from all the covers she had just sung. Apparently it was super hard because she chose some very challenging songs. They all have some “punch” to them. The type of songs where she would usually end up shouting during a live performance. Once again, a song by Akina Nakamori, one by Ann Lewis and finally one by Mariya Takeuchi. [Ohhhh, I am very excited about this particular set. Her recent covers have all been a bit meh in my opinion - mainly because I didn’t think they fit her vocal range].

sorry to bother you or to suddenly drop by, just don't know who to ask regarding the morimyu cd...as a fan itself and could understand japanese, does the morimyu cd only come as a physical version like actual cd/disc or is there a website that we could listen to it online? i really want to have a copy but the cd and shipping are wayy out of my budget 🥲

Unfortunately, the morimyu soundtrack is only available as a physical copy. :( Currently, there have been no announcements made for it to be available on streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music. On that note, I just tried to search if it’s possible to purchase a digital copy of the album, but it is not. :’( Such is the way of international fans, I’m afraid. T_T

Much like the other morimyu bd/dvds, it’s available in CDJapan, but that price rly is ouchies for the wallet.

A tricky (not sure if cheaper) alternative, is to buy it off Mercari, where some JP fans are selling their copies for about 1,100yen-2,000 yen (which is around 3,000 yen cheaper than OG price). However, since Mercari only ships to a JP address and requires JP credit cards, you’ll need a service like Buyee or White Rabbit Express to help you purchase it. Those services tend to beef up the price with service fees, though, so the 1,100yen price may jump up to 3,500+++ yen. LOL

Hope all this info helps! Sorry I kinda dived deep into that. Haha.

NOTE: OG Price for normal version is 3,800 yen. While OG Price for limited edition is 4,500 yen. Limited edition gives you a nicer box and pictures of all cast members in costume. Either version can come with a Sherlock or William bromide. (They’re very pretty.)

hiii!! i love seeing your collection, do you have any recommendations of websites etc for hunting down p5 merch? im outside the usa so things like mercari arent an option for me unfortunately T_T

Hi! I have many but some might be more or less effective depending on Where outside of the US you are. As I am Canadian, my options are a lot more feasible than say... someone from Europe yk. (god shipping fees are insane)

I will say, a huge chunk of my collection was bought off of Mercari or American Ebay, or American stores like BigBadToyStore and I just wanna make that clear. Two of these sites ship to places outside of the US still, but it's so much cheaper to get it sent to American friend and then over to me.

This got longer than I thought whoops under the cut it goes.

Anyway onto the actual recs. As always I have to shill Myfigurecollection.net. You can sort by the exact figure you're looking for, local currency, free or paid shipping and it's really handy. On top of that you can interact with the sites database or forum features! Make a wishlist or a list of a fave character's merch you want. Track what you've ordered already and when it's expected to arrive or be released from preorder. Find forum posts from your region about people discussing good places to buy from and so much more. It's such a huge and amazing tool for someone into collecting so long as you can get over the UI. Personally I've never found issues with it but I'm used to how older websites work anyway.

(Here is me sorting by European currency. There are so many euro sellers im jealous.)

Pros of mfc:

• Figures are usually in good condition and can even be mint in box. (you can even sort by condition, wow!)

• users are polite and can be negotiated with for a better deal oftentimes

Cons of mfc:

• This is not a site that focuses solely on selling like ebay, it's more like an ad section in the newspaper

• You have to trust who you are buying from as there's no 'insurance' so to speak. If you get scammed, there's no refunds and mods won't help you aside from banning the user, unlike actual buy and sell sites which have policies or insurance.

Next up is Zenmarket. This is a proxy site that allows me to buy straight from japan! What's handy about it is that you can browse multiple japanese sites straight within zenmarket's site. I can pick up items from Amazon.jp, JP Mercari, and Yahoo Auctions and have 'em all in one cart! You can also paste links into a special search bar if you've found a specific item you'd like to buy from a JP site. I personally browse JP Mercari and Rakuma the most. I like second-hand figures and both these places have good deals since they're flea-market esque sites. Yahoo!Auctions I've only bought one thing from, and I haven't had a *bad* experience per se, I just don't like auctions and buyout prices lol. Always so pricey... but I'm sure there's good deals to be had if you're willing to do a bidding battle. Pro tip! Search with japanese terms to get better results.

Zenmarket hasn't let me down before. They're speedy, and all my stuff has been well packed.

Pros:

• Can get the best base prices buying straight from japan

• Super simple layout and bundling orders is really easy

•Items can be held in their warehouse for 45 days if something happens/you wanna wait before bundling it into a package. You can also pay to extend this time.

•Quick shipping from the warehouse

•probably more lol

Cons

•If you're not american, shipping is gonna be like $30 CAD lol. At least you can fit multiple items in one box...? I got 2 books and several t-shirts without going over the small packet limit. i haven't used zennarket express, but if your shit is very small i think its about 10 dollars cheaper.

• ¥300 yen fee per item batch. So if I get a figure and book from Mercari I'll have to pay a ¥300 fee. If I then add something from Amazon or a different site other than Mercari to my cart, I'll have to pay another ¥300 fee. I don't mind this as its like what. 3 dollars? but if you're buying a lot from all over it can potentially rack up shit. also ppl just dont like fees so it's a con.

I also of course use ebay. I feel like I don't need to get into how ebay works so onto BRAND NEW MERCH CONDITION sitessss

I used to use Aitai Kuji but their selection of stuff is kinda mid these days so I stray from it. I've had good experiences with Ukiyo Kumo but it has a similar problem with Aitai Kuji.

Another site for brand-new merch is Meccha Japan, but holy fuck I hate their shipping and prices. If something becomes low in stock they jack up the price and label it as 'rare' or ultra rare or whatever and I find that irritating. They also use fedex and dhl for shipping which means fun fees woohoo yipee!!! i had to spend over 100 dollars to get my package wrangled from their graaaaaasp!!!!

So yeah, sorry for lame New Merch recs, I don't really buy brand-new figures since P5 hasn't released anything lately. I bought the Hello!Goodsmile mona and joker from BigBadToystore and I think shipping was only 15 usd? I like BBTS but if you're not american they're kinda slow in the shipping department.

merch anon again and I'm giving you all my support in your financial decisions for Aki Hayakawa because no words have ever been truer genuinely!!! also I AGREE SO MUCH WITH ACRYLIC STANDS, I generally know the ropes when it comes to purchasing official anime goods but the pricing for acrylic stands in the aftermarket is insane, especially when a certain character is the most loved in the series. Like Levi from Aot, Gojo of JJK and Tsukishima of HQ??? Most of their merch in the aftermarket goes for almost 1000 to 1500 yen for a single keychain and then 3000 yen for an acrylic stand, it's actually insane. Also at this rate m just plopping Aki merch into my online shopping cart, thank you for endorsing in my financial decisions just as much XD!!!

Hakuoki Zuisouroku vita Okita CG Character Perspective

Last Zuisouroku CG post (finally)! though this is not the last zuisouroku game content post since I did find 2 more interesting things to translate.... Unfortunately that does not include the new story in the vita version of the game which I never found translations for... or the  薄桜鬼紀行 (i call it the travel guide) content. 

The travel guide (and the cg character perspectives apparently) was also included in the ds version of the game (according to text i found), and is a collection of conversations between characters about certain locations and places.... like Harada going to Saito's room to return some notes or tools on katana maintenance and then remarking that Saito's room has nothing useless in it with Saito then wondering about Harada’s comments, Yamazaki being tricked by Souji to go into Hijikata’s room, talk about Shimabara from the baka trio, a convo with Saito, Hijikata and Souji about the Yagi residence, and a convo between the male demons about the Tosa or whatever domain was associated with Kaoru’s rasetsu, etc..... 

Unfortunately, since all I have are summaries+partial translations of those conversations in Chinese, I will not be translating them since I have no interest in translating things that I will only be able to leave incomplete (or summaries for that matter) though that might change on the extreme off chance that someone translates said stuff into CH tho I honestly doubt that will happen if it that hasn’t happened already... or if i find it whenever i start looking for more translate which won’t happen for let’s say... more than 5 years? lol. random number tho it’s true that i’ve got an extremely long list of things that i have Ch tl for so i really don’t need or want more...

anyway, all images used are were taken with my vita, and same as my other zuisouroku postings, aside from the new cg, all other cg images used were edited together. i think these are in order... but i don’t care if they aren’t lol.

only 4 cg character perspectives (did heisuke’s last time but it didn’t show up under either the hakuoki/hakuouki tag) - all from kyoka-roku (picked that one up for 500 yen lol but i lost my data when i screwed up my vita T_T), now remain.... no eta but i’d like to get them done before the end of the year.....

also i FINALLY found a translation for the 2011 Otomate party Hakuoki Reimeiroku drama (been looking around for that one in particular since i enjoyed it - and that was with my extremely terrible JP audio recognition... and i already hurt my hand copying out all the text from it cuz it was off a vid), along with a translation for the 2018 otomate party Collar x Malice drama... no idea when i’ll get to those tho... but i don’t even know if i’ll bother with the latter since the tl i found is +46000 words.... which is ridiculously long... and probably the longest drama i’ve ever ended up with translations for...even counting some of the 30 min ones though im not sure bout the ones pushing an hour....

seriously tho, something that long makes me wanna just toss the entire thing into google translate..... and even then, i’d need more than 9 tabs since google only takes 5k words at once.

Yen Press is a commercial business that translates a lot of manga, so they don't have time to get attached to one given series, and it really shows.”

Hello! I'm Anne (BSD-Bibliophile), the creator of this survey! Thank you to all who participated and to those of you who came to view the results!  

The participants of this survey were all Bungou Stray Dogs fans from Tumblr from 8:00 pm January 20 (MST) to 6:00 am January 21 (MST). It was only open until there were 100 respondents. Even though more people participated, only the first 100 responses are shown (This was primarily because I don’t have the money to upgrade to a paid account). The survey was only posted on my blog, www.bsd-bibliophile.tumblr.com, which is dedicated to quotes and facts about the authors in Bungou Stray Dogs.  The blog is not associated with either Dazaiscans or Yen Press.

I have included a link to the results on surveymonkey.com to prove that the results I have here, though a few questions are represented in a different format, are all representing the true results of the survey.

As I explained in my original post, this survey was created as a result of Yen Press taking action against Dazaiscans on Tumblr. That is why the questions and responses pertain mostly to those two translations of the manga. This survey was meant to be an anonymous, unbiased compilation of responses that are intended to represent the general opinion of the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom. The results are not to be associated with either Yen Press or Dazaiscans; the survey was only prompted by my own curiosity. Please take that into account when inspecting the results.

If you are interested, more comments were made on this post from my blog that are directed at either dazaiscans or yenpress. It is definitely more biased than this survey (which I tried to make as unbiased as possible), but their comments are just as valid as the comments above. Thank you.

about me: huge fan of the game, loved playing W1 and W3. I have seen the Polish series, but not read the books.

Let’s get the cast out of the system right away: I’ve never cared too much for Geralt, so anyone in a white wig is fine by me. 

The Yennefer in the trailer made me do a double take, that was not (and still isn’t) the Yennefer I knew and loved. Not because of her transformation, that was interesting, but because she does not have enough presence to be Yennefer. She does not look like she has been around for decades. They tried very hard with makeup and clothes, but they just could not summon the Yennefer who is confidence herself, captivating in every scene. Game Yennefer is an extremely impressive and dominant character. You cannot hope to meet any expectations doing her halfway.

The role of Yennefer in the show on the other hand was very intriguing. I would have preferred actually for her to be a different character, who does not try to transform into a pretty girl. Or if she does, she gets screwed up more. It seems like a loss for both having those two characters combined into one. The distorted sorceress was very cool, and Yennefer is very cool, and I would have preferred them to be two different people going their own paths. It was disappointing to hear that Yennefer is concerned with being pretty and/or having kids, I thought she would be way above such petty goals. 

Now for the real failure: Ciri. T_T Let’s just say Ciri could have been left out entirely and I would not have missed her. Ciri’s design was a tiny bit slacking even in the game, she was so spunky as a little girl, but grew up relatively generic, save for the face scar. I hoped she’d look and be more like a mutant. Still, she’s badass so I’m very partial to both her and Yennefer. But in the show, she was not even a spunky kid. She was boring as hell. Her lines were “What is happening?” and “What are we going to do?” Completely irrelevant. Can we make lines like this disappear from movies entirely? Fantasy fans everywhere are spoiled silly watching high quality content anytime at our disposal, we’ve seen so much good stuff. No one needs “Lost” dialogue. No one needs a character walking around asking “What is happening on this island?” And to have Ciri of all people in that role is a crying shame. Did they make the girls dull because they could outshine Geralt? Because they surely could - and did so in the game - but that is no excuse to waste their potential.

Story: This first season was an introduction for too many characters that at best scratched the surface of the Witcher world. I would have liked the first season to be entirely Geralt doing his daily quests, getting everyone introduced to monster lore. The whole base of the world building is Slavic mythology, and that deserves paramount attention. And if you need knowledge of characters in the show, why not stay with the main role for a while? What is a witcher anyway? Is one born as a witcher or can anyone become one? Where was he trained? Are there other witchers? How many? Are they friends? How do they spend their days? Vesemir was mentioned once, and never showed up. That is a waste of a plot point. As much as I already know a lot about the lore, and as much as I don’t really like Geralt as a person, the show is called The Witcher, so I expect it to tell me and others about the witcher. Focus on an ordinary adventure. Don’t distract all the first time viewers with Ciri, moreso if you are not going to do anything useful with her, and even Yennefer could have been introduced much later.

It would have been so great if there had been only Geralt and Dandelion/Jaskier on tiny quests for random villagers and potato farmers, meeting interesting monsters and killing them - or not killing them - then haggling about the price, winning or losing Gwent games, doing fist fighting tournaments, getting on each others’ nerves, you know, the bread and butter content. It was like that for portions of the show, but it should have been like that all the time. It makes me wish it had been a classic 23-episode season with enough room for comedy and gore, instead of a very short season painfully compressing the witcher story, both Ciri’s and Yen’s backgrounds, Dandelion, the conflicts between the kingdoms, species and sorcerers. The end result feels shallow. As a fan, I was just triggered over and over with every little thing that they got right - especially Geralt’s voice make me pick up the game again so many times - but the payoff was unsatisfying. The scenes started out great and refreshingly low-profile, but then became too chaotic, too serious and the plot was tossed about in every direction. So many ends unmet is frustrating. The show is a mess.

At the very least, they made it funny. The Law of Surprise was hilariously executed, that is exactly the kind of humor I love about the Witcher. The costumes were good, the music was fine and there were many scenes where they caught the atmosphere really well. Roach was so cute. I liked the relationship of Geralt with his horse, it felt like the only good thing in his life.

I am rather underwhelmed by the series, but hopeful that second and later seasons will be better. It seems popular so far, so it will continue. If it becomes a huge franchise, maybe it will even get a remake that will be more convincing.

asdfgh I'd definitely recommend watching Encanto! I loved that movie <3 Gonna watch it again soon (I watched the German dub with my family a few days ago but wanna watch it with the original voices). If you watch it pls let me know what you think? 🙈

As for the new Witcher season -- aah, I only started watching the 2nd season a few days ago and I'm only at episode 4 (ep 4 is the last one I watched, gonna watch the next ep very soon!). Spoilers under the cut! (I assume you've watched it already, if not, wait to read haha)

I loved it so far! There were a few things I didn't quite like the old Elf and the deaf young Elf dying, that wasn't necessary in my opinion. I can't think of a better narrative at that point, but it seemed a bit too much and felt cruel. Especially with Yen just watching when the old Elf was beaten (with Jaskier, I felt that wasn't too out of character - though, he's not cold hearted either..idk idk, it just felt kinda wrong).

And omg, Eskel dying, my heart T_T I wasn't prepared, to be honest. I feel like it makes kinda sense. Geralt needed to see that his home wasn't a safe place anymore and that things are truly changing (and that people close to him are in danger). So I kinda understand that decision I guess? Still, I need more Eskel, and Eskel & Geralt interacting ;_; That flashback later was so good...

I like Ciri's storyline so far, I like Yen's storyline so far, and also Geralt. I kinda sometimes miss the grumpy non-talkative Geralt from s1, but I also enjoy him talking more and smiling from time to time XD

And!! Jaskier! His entrance was amazingly over the top and just right, I loved it. And I missed him, he came into the season so late, but the song and his dynamic with Yen made up for it. I could watch those two bicker and be weirdly warm-and-yet-spicy with each other for days. Truly.

I don't know what's to come in the next few episodes but so far I really like it <3 :)

Japan S2, Day 8!

Shin-Osaka station! I took another Haruka train to get here. ^^

Finally made it to the hotel! …Eh? Did I really book something this fancy??

(Pro tip: Shin-Osaka hotels are much cheaper than Kyoto hotels! @_@ Use coupon code “gelo-p” upon check-out)

…It’s embarrassing to say this, but I really got lost walking from the station to the hotel. Green path: optimal. Red path: gelo-p’s actual path to the hotel. >_>

Of course, I started taking the green path afterwards. ^^;

SHOYU RAMEN! … was it Shoyu Ramen? After making my way back to the station, I decided to eat lunch at a ramen shop. Everyone else was a Japanese business man complete with suit and tie. Also, there was no English menu, so I had to rely on my actual Japanese conversational skills. ^_^; the ramen was damn good.

From Shin-Osaka station, I made my way to Namba! This day was just me browsing anime goods, so not really much to share.

gee store Osaka! There was a very healthy selection of shirts @_@

(No Bandori shirts though… also it wasn’t tax free :P)

I considered getting a Kimi no Na wa DVD for my sister, but she said she preffered Tenki no Ko. Okay!

After hours of searching, I came across two Love Live shirts that my friend wanted (I haven’t been including them here, but I have a lot of pictures of Mari and Dia shirts, because my friend asked me if I could snag some of them for me). These two, he finally asked me to buy for him. It was a bargain too, 8500 yen total (tax free!) for the two of them.

Oh, that reminds me, I finally had mobile data active that day!

Tired AF, I made my way back to Shin-Osaka station. I entered a tempura shop this time! They still had no English menu, but I managed to place an order anyway. :P Itadakimasu!

The staff asked me if I wanted red miso or some other side dish. I said it’s fine, I only wanted tempura, but they told me it’s part of what I paid for. I chose red miso, and it was fine. I still prefer white miso, red miso has a stronger flavor that for me sort of interferes with the taste of the food. Your experience might be different though.

Back at the hotel! The room was small, but the bathroom was better equipped than the one at Kyoto, so in the end this works better for me. Oyasumi nasai! ^_^

I went to the iStarfes Halloween event today and got to see so many utaites live. I had to skip Cleanero and Yuuto parts to line up for Piko chekis though. But later when I was waiting for Arufakyun and Glutamine I got to see Cleanero for like 15 minutes straight cuz they are talking to fans at the goods selling place right next to where I'm standing lol xD There are 2 stages for the event, Haunted stage and Monster stage. Haunted stage itself has a band so basically all the more well-known one is at Haunted Stage. So I got to see Toramaru, Ajikko, koman, Piko, Alfakyun, Glutamine and a bit of Hashiyan. They all sound pretty good live. My favourites are Piko (of course), Alfakyun (she has a very cute speaking voice but a powerful singing voice lol and her English pronunciation is perfect I love it xD) and Ajikko (cuz he sang all the songs I love haha). koman was cosplaying as a white hippo lol. He sang great and was as entertaining as ever. Glutamine was nice though his live voice doesnt have that much impact on me like when I'm watching his videos. I kinda wanted to see his face but he was also cosplaying as a ghost (?) and wearing mask so... xD As for Piko's part, he was dressing as Harley Quinn xD And the set list was: - Ghost Rule - Koi wa sensou : I'm so happy he sang it, cuz I got to listen to him singing it live in 2008 and he was totally struggling with it haha. But now he just did it perfectly. - Kokoronashi - Doppelganger: Yes, he sang it live, alone, with almost no backup. And its better than the recording I swear. I dont know how that happens lol but he hit all the notes perfectly, his rhythm is perfect and also the tension is really high during the song xD After his part, we lined up to buy random chekis of his. I only got two since its pretty expensive (1000 yen each) T_T The other girls had some very pretty shots and I wanted more but I just couldnt T_T Anyway it was a very nice event. It was rainig the whole day in Yokohama but all the fans didnt seem to mind. And the utaites also tried their best to warm up the audiences :3 I got to see a lot of Pikoots in Japan. Believe it or not there are a lot of people in their 40s, 50s xD And they don't seem like that out of the live at all but they all lined up early to get the priority viewing ticket and was screaming and headbanging a lot during the live xD I think I wrote too much now lol. Next live will be Niconico Choparty. I've bought the net ticket and will be watching it only. If u guys want to see Piko, you can buy a net ticket on Nicodouga at 2000yen. The broadcast is limited to Japan only though so you might need to change your IP to a Japanese one to be able to watch it ;)

“-.- for your information, my show is very popular! You just mad cause it’s more people then your idol career”

“No I am not Mr. SaLtY! I just don’t wanna”

 “We’ve been working on more songs for the album, and choreographies. Many of our fans really love the song “Me 2” and we’ve been performing that a lot.”

“See guys, my girlfriend is WORKING hard for you guys. That’s how much she cares for all her fans and the fans of Gal Gang.”

Y/N blushed as Doyoung blurted more words than what was expected.

“Aww, see? Y/N is blushing really hard.”

Y/N knew she had to punish Doyoung after the interview. She was definitely a red tomato by how much Doyoung was pushing her buttons.

“Anyway, let’s stop teasing her. So Y/N who inspired you to be an idol?”

“That’s actually a good question, my parents inspired me to be an idol. They supported me even if they didn’t want me to be an idol. They wanted me to be a doctor, but my parents wanted me to stick with something I would appreciate and be happy with.”

“WoW, so in detail. That was a good explanation. Time is coming close to an end so this will be our last question. Sorry to our viewers who wanted to see more than asking questions. The last question is, will you marry me?”

Doyoung went on his knee and pulled out a black velvet box, and there your ring can be seen. Y/N stood up quickly, shocked. Her body couldn’t move all she could do was smile and cry with tears of joy.

Cutie Reviews: Gacha Gacha crate March 19

Here I am, ready for the next review! We’re getting really behind and I know I have to kick it up a notch; but good news, I’ve played so much Yoshi’s Crafted World that I almost have it 100% beaten : D I’m kind of sad about that, but I had so much fun playing it~

For this month, the booklet wasn’t as interesting- unless you really like Sumikko Gurashi like me x3 it features 2 pages with information above the characters and series, along with the Gacha Gacha Community page (the one I usually show at the start of the entry) like usual.

Anyway, I don’t really have anything else to bring up, so let’s get started with the review!

Banana Animals

So as you can see, the idea behind this one is to make banana look like cute animals... and a beetle.

You see where my finger is on the booklet?

Now, yeah sure, I’d really have like the seal- but I’m terrified of bugs, I would have preferred ANY of them. I was so shook by it that I was afraid to even open the capsule and couldn’t even stand to touch it. Even now I still can’t, but I was trying to overcome it considering I know it’s not actually a bug. It’s just a rotting banana that resembles one...

I loved everything in my box, except or this. This is the only thing that I didn’t like, which is a shame because the concept is super-cute. The figure quality as far as I can tell is really nice; and if you actually like bugs or beetles, this could be a fun addition to your collection.

Sumikko Gurashi Chokonto Mascot

After that traumatic experience I needed some cuteness to help me recover ;3 and lucky me, this was just the ticket! I love Sumikko Gurashi- especially Neko~

This is the second Sumikko Gurashi item we got in this brand (and my second Neko from this brand). Besides Neko, one could also obtain Tonkatsu, Shirokuma, Tokage, and Penguin? Each mascot is super-soft and plush, and they come on a rubber band-like piece. They all have really cute, thin “3D-esque pieces“ and are very accurately detailed.

This almost reminds me of a plush, non-squishy squishy because it’s so soft. It’s also really cute and I love playing with it. I also think these would be really cute accessories for dolls if you didn’t want to use it for it’s intended purposes.

Neko Kaburu

Is it me, or does this kitty look a bit strange....?

Wait, I think it’s beginning to move. Now it’s... taking off it’s head?!

Oh, it’s a penguin!

That’s right guys, once again or this month we’re treated to disguised animals pretending to be kitties! We’re getting a bit of repeat this month in terms of “concept/ideas“, but at least they’re cute!

For this series, there are 6 available animals. Besides the penguin, there is a bear, a panda, a red panda, a koala, and a seal. Each with it’s own cat hat/head colorized to match it.

Besides just being adorable, these figures are extremely well made. The figures are made of a really good plastic/material (I can’t describe it, but it makes a really good, solid sound when tapping it), the paint is accurately applied, there’s no flaws. Honestly, you could just get it for the animal if you were collecting them and just wanted a nice figure to add.

My only itty-bitty problem is that I noticed it’s a little difficult to keep the cat head on for this one. It wants to keep sliding or spinning around, like “exorcist cat-penguin“. But there is a little notch, and it’s not impossible to use it, so it’s not a real problem.

Luxury Chocolate Mascot

To celebrate White Day, we got these adorable chocolate mascots by Toys Spritis :D There is 7 to collect ranging in various brands, including a really cute heart-shaped box I wish I got. But I think this one is plenty cute too.

There’s also something special about these....

It opens! And the little chocolates can be removed, the only way this could be any better would be if they’re scented (they smell like plastic but that’s it). If I somehow could, I’d definitely pick up the rest of this series ;3

This is the perfect play or re-ment accessory, it’s so small and cute! I can’t stand it!

I have a concern with these, or at the very least this specific one. Because of it being a little sliding box, I’m kind of worried about it sliding open and everything falling out. See, the ball chain is on the red portion of the box, where the chocolate is. It doesn’t super-easily slide on and off, but it’s enough to concern me a little bit...

Chokotto Home Party

This our next fun item, a cute chocolate-based game series! These little games use all sorts of chocolates, like cookies, actual chocolate, donuts, ice cream. They’re ultra-fun and so cute and little~

These are by Epoch, and each one costs 200 yen.

For this game, the goal is to keep stacking the donuts until someone knocks it over. Whoever does that is the loser. It’s a very easy game to understand, but the included booklet does include instructions (in Japanese) to help you understand the game further.

Again I say, it’s super cute and little, and again, perfect for re-ments, doll houses (sylvanian families especially, which I’d like to use mine for when not playing with it), and it’s just really really fun to play with. I wish there was a way to store the pieces, but I mean, if you keep the capsule it’s fine.

No, this is not a Gacha toy called Teaser, this image is a teaser : D Because this is our first DIY gacha we’re receiving in this box, and for that reason I’ve decided to save that for it’s own post, because of the pic limit and all.

Quality - 5 out of 5. Everything came fine and in-tact, I loved the detailing on everything and how clean they all look. They’re kind of small, but due to a lack of knowing the prices for them, I can’t really say if this is worth what we pay or not.

Content - 4 out of 5. I would have given this the perfect score if not for the fact I detest the one item- but the theme itself is still plenty cute, and again I’m sure there’s plenty of people who would love it regardless.

Total Rank: 9 out of 10 cuties. This is the first Gacha Gacha crate I’m almost, nearly completely in love with ♥  Not only were the details crisp and clean on every piece, but they were just lovely and a lot of fun- even if one terrified me silly. Out of every box in this brand so far, this would be the one I recommended the most! But for now, I recommend every single one of the gachapon within it, so if you can find them I suggest buying one :3 or joining Gacha Gacha crate!

(I left off the item I didn’t review for obvious reasons.)

1.  Chokotto Home Party - How could I not give this first place? We get a whole bunch of cute sweets to play with! The detail on every single one is also really nice, and just plain cute- I’d have loved any of them but I’m really happy I got this one~

2.  Chocolate Mascot - I’m a sucker for little foods, so of course I really loved the detail and overall adorableness of this one. I might not have liked it as much if we couldn’t actually open it and remove the chocolates, but the detail on the outside packaging is really nice too.

3.  Sumikko Gurashi Mascot - I love love love Neko! I always get so happy when I see it, and this one is ultra-squishy soft, I want to cuddle it~

4. Cat-Head Animal Figure - I really like it’s detail and sturdy build. The penguin is also kind of cute.

5. Banana Animal - I can almost guarantee this probably would have been my favorite item i I had gotten anything else...

3. What is your happiest memory? I have no clue, it’s been a really long time since I was happy [like several years ago]. It’s mostly the little things, like ppl liking my writing, my cats, or finding friends on tumblr.

8. What is your biggest wish for yourself? To publish my novel.

9. What fictional character do you relate to the most? Aside from my self-indulgent OCs, I have not met that characer yet.

10. If you could become anything, without any education or demands, what would you choose as your profession? Writer.

11. Do you have any siblings? Yes, a younger sister [she’s so hyperactive though, she would make up for 10 other siblings].

12. Have you ever wanted to injure someone? Nope. Not seriously wanted to at least.

13. Have you ever wanted to help someone, but didn’t? Yeah. But most of the time it was because I felt like I’m not a good helper.

14. What makes you angry? People judging others who have no clue what those ppl are getting through.

15. What makes you happy? My cats, people on tumblr, my best friend, video games, music, etc.

16. Would you rather beat up a small child once - or get beaten up by an angry man every single day for the rest of your life? Well… I’d feel super guilty for beating up a small child and the feeling of guilt could perhaps hurt more than physical pain. But being beaten up every day for the rest of my life sucks. I don’t know. T_T

17. What places would you visit today if you could? Provence [!!!], Italy [already been there, but haven’t seen Tuscany, and I really like Tuscany], Scotland, Iceland.

18. Do you want children? Why? If not, why not? Nope. Getting pregnant scares the shit outta me.

19. Did you have a happy childhood? Yes, and then I started attending school and shit happened.

20. Have you ever done drugs? If you have, would you do it again? No, I was always “the awfully boring good kid”.

21. Would you rather become a child again, possessing all the knowledge you have today, or become middle-aged, with 45 000 000 € on your bank account? If I could change things that went wrong in the past, then child.

22. If you could become any existing famous person in the world - who would you be and why? Well, my knowledge on celebrities is pretty scarce, so no idea? Besides I’d really not want to be extra famous. Imagine all the people stalking you. Ugh, no, thanks.

23. Are your parents married or divorced? Divorced.

24. Where do you see yourself in the future? Dead?. I have no clue, whatsoever. HOPEFULLY living in some really nice french cottage with my first trilogy released and four cats.
