I just watched the new Avatar show, which was really nice, I have to admit.

On the other hand I have one major bone to pick with the show nontheless.

Why for the love of a rotten orange-peel, does Aang not learn how to waterbend? This is the first season, in the original show named WATER, and he does not learn how to do that? Which the whole show is about, he needs to master all four elements, or else he can wave everything good-bye.

How will they redeem that? Will he learn both water and earth bending in the second season, just for it to be brushed over and suddenly Aang can water bend just fine and thats it?

Anyhow, they really blended everything else quite well, but come on...making Aang waterbend would not have been that hard.
