Ok so I didn’t really start making star wars content until April of this year. My first creation of the year would be my graphic for the first day of Reylo Week 2020.

My most recent creation is my Reylo x Willow gifset.

one of your favorite creations from 2020: I really love my Rey’s training outfit from TLJ gifset.

a creation you’re really proud of: My porg gifset for SWSAW2020. It’s not much but I was proud of it because I was going through it and that really cheered me up.

a new style you tried this year and a gifset that uses it: Other than actually learning how to make gifs, that would probably be me putting gradients over gifs with some fun text. (I’m still learning be nice) Here is the first time I did it in my Rey The Archer gifset

a creation that took you forever: This isn’t much but maybe my Reylo My Tears Ricochet edit.

your creation from 2020 that received the most notes: I was on a Hamilton kick this summer so I made this Reylo x Hamilton graphic. I’m still proud of this.

a creation you think deserved more notes: I posted a gifset of Kaydel Connix and Leia in TROS gifset because I was sad and missing Carrie. Granted it was literally my first gifset but I was so excited to start making gifs and that was kinda discouraging.

a creation with a favorite scene/quote: This Rey gifset I made. I always liked that scene with her saying Ben’s name.

a new fandom you joined and a creation you made for it: Taylor Swift. I wanted new music to listen too and Taylor released ‘folklore’ at just the right time. This lead me to listening to everything she had ever done. But out of everything, the Look What You Made Me Do mv will always be my favorite so I made this Halloween themed LWYMMD gifset.

a creation you made that breaks your heart: This one. The scene in TROS will just always break me. Actually making the gif made it worse because I noticed the little details and made me even sadder.

Cravity’s League of the Universe Theory

Hello everyone~ My name’s Riza and I am back, breaking my head, with yet another kpop theory. I said I was gonna release this one as soon as Cravity released the Epilogue to Hideout Season 2, but I didn’t. So… yeah. Here I am.

For this theory we’ll be looking at the prologue and epilogue of both seasons, as well as the Instagram account @/the_hidden_universe. We won’t be paying attention to the MVs of the albums’ tracks because so far, they seem irrelevant to the plot, but maybe we’ll be looking at them in the future. All the gifs, picture edits and translations in this post are mine, so let me know if you plan to use them. Let us start.

Arc 1: Hideout - Main Plot Points

I’ve decided to treat Cravity’s story sort of like you would a comic. We will have different story arcs, each of which will be divided in volumes or seasons. Our first arc is the Hideout arc, which currently has two seasons: Remember Who We Are (Season 1) and The New Day We Step Into (Season 2).

During the prologue of Season 1 we are introduced to a highschool, to which the Cravity members go. It is not clearly established, but it seems like for story purposes, all of them are in the same grade (although not necessarily in the same classroom). All of them appear to be loners, except Hyeongjun and Taeyoung, who seem to have known each other since before.

As the narration says, it was a normal day for them, with the typical anxieties and worries that come with being a high schooler. However, that day, a message came from the “unknown” and marked their beginning. In the video, we see all of them making their way to school or already being there. Meanwhile, the news is reporting on a meteorite shower. As the meteorites get closer to where they are, they all lose their consciousness.

Afterwards, we get to see how Serim, Jungmo and Wonjin become friends, by following a dog that seems to be Jungmo’s deceased pet, somehow. Their meeting has nothing of normal to it, but we’ll be discussing that a little bit later once we dive into their abilities. It is unclear how much time passes between the meteorite shower and their meeting, but it’s safe to assume it’s not the same day.

In the epilogue of Season 1, we see Allen having a dream of the nine of them together. When he awakes, he sees Hyeongjun and Taeyoung from the window, walking home. He presumably recognizes them from his dream and asks the driver to stop the car. However, when he gets out, it’s already too late and they’ve left.

The prologue of Season 2 (my favorite video so far) starts with another one of Allen’s dreams, with the nine of them together as friends and the narration explaining how he’s trying to find them. We also get introduced to the chaotic duo of Hyeongjun and Taeyoung. They’re best friends.

Taeyoung seems to excel in everything he does: he is in the basketball team and is praised by his friends during math class. However, he’s not satisfied and lacks a goal. Hyeongjun, on the other hand, knows he wants to become a photographer and spends most of his time taking pictures of Taeyoung (adorable, if you ask me).

As the video moves forward, we see Allen coming out of his classroom to encounter Serim, Jungmo and Wonjin outside. Taeyoung is a little bit further down the hallway, and as he moves, time slows down to a full stop around him. He moves forward until he’s in front of the rest, and grabs Wonjin’s hand to look at his bracelet (more on those later). Hyeongjun comes out running and calls his name, breaking the spell.

Time starts running again, and Taeyoung and Hyeongjun both get a nosebleed as they try to understand what just happened to them. The other four help them, and we see Woobin glance at them as he walks up the stairs to the rooftop. This takes us to the epilogue, where we see Seongmin, Minhee and Woobin become friends at the rooftop as they hide away from the professor in what is certainly the most adorable video so far.

The Characters and Their Abilities

Serim

After the meteorite shower, Serim is the first character we meet. Although his stone hasn’t been shown yet, we know that his color is light orange from the Instagram account. The cat he is friends with apparently has another friend, Jungmo, and that is how they meet. When he touches Jungmo’s hand, he is able to see his memories of the deceased dog. Plus, Serim is shown in an old looking room, which probably belonged to someone dear to him, as he says “I miss you” in an Instagram post. It might be safe to assume that his ability is related to looking into the past of other people, and maybe even things.

Jungmo

Jungmo’s stone hasn’t been shown either, but from the Instagram posts we know it’s pink. Jungmo is introduced to us through the cat we mentioned before, who, we learn through Instagram, is named Cheese. Jungmo says that the cat is “the one who’s been calling for him all this time”, and also that “Cheese is more noisy than I thought”. Adding that to how easy it seems to be for him to bond with animals, it could be that his ability is to communicate with them or hear their thoughts.

Wonjin

Wonjin’s stone is shown once in the prologue from Season 2, when Taeyoung grabs his wrist, so we know that it is purple. In the prologue to Season 1, Wonjin is shown to have a dog, whose name seems to be Revue (I’m not certain how to… romanize its name, it’s quite unique). Revue looks quite similar to Jungmo’s dog, to the point even Serim questions it in one of the posts, but they might not be the same. While his ability is still uncertain, we know through the Instagram posts that Wonjin was told by A (Allen) that he would get new friends. Revue brings Jungmo and Serim to Wonjin, and they become friends. A even asks him in the same post if he met them, and Wonjin confirms it.

Allen

Allen is, perhaps, the member we know the most about. His stone is shown to be red, and his ability is to see dreams of the future. In the Instagram page he first says how he keeps meeting them in his dreams, but then he explains how after he told Wonjin he would meet some friends, it actually happened, and then they became friends too. He mentions how he keeps seeing other people in his dreams, and wonders if that will become true or not. Finally, he says he had another dream, in which he looked happy. Allen is unhappy because his parents are strict and want him to become a doctor, but he just wants to be free.

Taeyoung

According to the Instagram posts, Taeyoung’s stone would be dark green. Taeyoung is shown to be a very successful kid, he is good in his classes and also part of the basketball team. However, he doesn’t have any dreams for himself. We also know from the Instagram posts that his ability is to stop time, in one post he says “Today I stopped time for 15.39 seconds and I was fine at first, but the longer I do it I get dizzy, if I make it longer it’ll be okay right?”. He is also aware of the stones the others have, and is trying to research more about it without telling anyone.

Hyeongjun

Hyeongjun’s stone color would be light/lime green, as seen both in the Instagram posts and in the prologue for Season 2. Hyeongjun is a generally clueless character so far. He is Taeyoung’s best friend, and contrary to him, he does know what he wants to do when he graduates. Hyeongjun wants to be a photographer. His ability is still unclear, but it is quite possible it’s related to time and he somewhat “shares” it with Taeyoung. He seems to be invulnerable to Taeyoung’s ability, and even Taeyoung himself is confused by this. His first interaction with the abilities seems to have been that event with Taeyoung.

Minhee

Not much is known about Minhee’s character yet, but we know his stone color is blue. Minhee is always shown quite frustrated and with a manual step counter. In the Instagram posts he is shown questioning what the stone is.

Seongmin

Seongmin’s stone color is yellow and he uses a drone. Not much else is known.

Woobin

Woobin’s stone color is orange, and that’s about all we know from him.

The Concept

Here I’ll be answering some questions that I think might explain the core of their concept.

Why League of the Universe?

This name immediately reminds us of superheroes. Cravity in general has a concept related to space/physics (Creativity + Gravity, Center of Gravity), they were even going to be called something like Earth Boys. They are already developing some sort of powers in the story, so maybe in the future they’ll become something like superheroes. Although I don’t think it’ll be something flashy, I do definitely think they’ll start developing their abilities later on (Taeyoung is already working on it).

Why Hideout?

A hideout is a safe place for hiding, a place to gather away from curious eyes. Every team of superheroes has a hideout, be it the Stark Tower or the Hall of Justice, and it’s usually the first thing you should work on if you’re trying to keep a secret. Hideouts are a place where people gather, so I believe the name refers to their beginning and their coming together.

What do the abilities represent?

I’ve known Starship to be a company that keeps the group and their concepts separate outside of official videos. Things like time travel and abilities aren’t usually mentioned outside of the main content. However, one thing Starship does is give its stories a double purpose. On one hand, what we see on the screen is real inside the universe (namely, Cravity having powers and Monsta X time-travelling), but it also represents a part of human nature.

For Cravity, I think it comes to the fears of growing up. Overall, Cravity started as a group with a lot of minor members (under 20, according to Korean age), so it makes sense that they’re placed in the last year of high school: the brink between adolescence and adulthood. In the videos we see them deal with the frustrations of not wanting to be what their parents say or not knowing what their dreams are. Loss and hope are both abundant.

I think their powers are lessons of how to deal with what torments them. For example, Allen is unhappy with his parents’ wishes, and then he starts having dreams that guide him to happiness. For him, a source of happiness and support will be the people he sees in his dreams. Taeyoung doesn’t have a dream, and his time to decide what to do with his life is running out, so his ability is to stop everything going around him. I believe we’ll get to see more relationships like this as we learn more about the other members.

Conclusion: What can we expect next?

I think it’s safe to assume that we can expect one more season of Hideout. In this season we’ll probably see them all come together and we might get introduced to a couple more powers. Hopefully we’ll also get more information on Minhee, Seongmin and Woobin. If it goes well, we’ll also get to see them find themselves a Hideout. I’m really excited to see how their story progresses, since this group means a lot to me.

i wasn’t sure to do it at first because i wasn’t really active here for the past year but yeah here we go...

first: this soobin run away jpn ver mv not so good old times when i was too lazy to use topaz.

most recent: this 2020 yeonbin moments compilation. it was supposed to be a gif but i ended up making it as video because the export result really sucks as gifs. (please watch the video on youtube)

my eternally game gfx. i actually take pride of this one so much. i’m thinking to turn it into video actually once i have enough motivation to do it.

a creation that took you forever:

this eternity gfx poster. GOD the making process wasn’t that long actually but the racking up idea and choosing the color palettes to use took more than a day.

a creation from 2020 that received the most notes:

this eternity concept thriller movie poster. this is like my first gfx after i took long hiatus probably a year from editing. soobin crying on the concept trailer in 4k really was my tip point to ah i should make something i couldnt miss this one.

i owned a bts blog previously and it did so well, and once i moved here i figured i wouldnt have the same hype as before, as i had to build from zero and i wasnt even as active so i dont really mind and mostly i just post here for my own satisfaction. but this one, the eternally game gfx. i actually really love this one particular because i’m so emotionally attached to it. i made it out of frustration after finishing my second defense as an escape lmao.

(Don’t) Creator’s send me a ✨ + your creations tag and I’ll talk about some of your pieces I love! Bea’s creations (gfx) and her gifs and her blog @joshuahong (I still want to tag joshsua, it’s been literal YEARS)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - How do I make this short. Bea. I truly love your work so much, that when I tried to go through your archive from 2015 and onward - all my brain did was “oh that’s a fave. no wait that’s a fave. that one too. OH but THIS ONE-”. I’m not exaggerating. Every single piece. So to keep this condensed, I’m only going to talk about the pieces that gave me the visceral “!!!” because I remember how floored I was at the piece. Just know that EVERY piece you’ve done gives me that reaction. So this ask? This ask is now my own personal hell because I don’t know how to choose 3-5 pieces that I love more than the other. But I will try. This is more of a “walk down memory lane,” - in which I recall how much the piece amazed me at the time it was posted. This might seem long but let me tell you - this is as condensed as I could possibly make it. Like I am pulling my own teeth trying to mention just a FEW of these pieces that I really love. I need a drink. GOD this is obnoxiously long I don’t know what to do.

2015

(1) (2) (3)These graphics are so heavily ingrained in my mind that I’m now realizing how much this inspired some of my graphics I did years later. Like??? It set the tone for what I value in a piece of work LOL. And when I look back at my own work now - I can see how much of these “lessons” I incorporated.

For (1) in particular, I adored the bleeding effect on the surrounding gifs! And how each panel bled into one another through those wisps.

In (2) the COLORS just had me squirming like a delighted little sausage. It fit Seventeen’s image at the time so well. It was youthful, colorful, fresh. Everything that Akkinda was at that time. I LOVED the sparkles and the fucking TREE. Ugh that was truly one of the best graphics I saw at the time.

In (3) - the way you oriented the text was amazing. It was a lot of text but the way you spaced it out and added these visual breaks made it so easy to digest. Like one panel is text heavy. Then another panel is image heavy with a bit of text.Then there’s a gif panel with more text but also spaced out with more image. The balance is fucking incredible Bea. And literally - that’s how my own mind is programmed to make gfx now so it’s nuts seeing that it might have been influenced by your own methods I viewed over the years. LORD, I should call you professor?

2016

Very few things I never heal from. This manipulation of Jeonghan and Joshua from the Chocolate MV? Is one of them. The Chocolate MV in general? Is another. But okay I recall how I gasped because of how GOOD this was. It’s still hitting me. Your brain is so sexy Bea. Also, I’m bummed we never got Mint Jeonghan. But like, who cares? Bea edited a mint Jeonghan and that’s all I’ll ever need. I would literally frame this LOL. Like I’m half considering slapping it onto my corkboard just so I can look at it often.

I would literally pick every single piece from 2016 but I think JiHan was my most favorite and I can’t tell if that’s the bias in me that’s making these decisions.

2017

This is the coolest shit I’ve ever seen lmfao. I wish I had something more flourished to say but I remember thinking how fucking genius you were for highlighting the teaser like this. Since it was so scenic. And rather than making a hardcore gfx out of it - you just enhanced the vibe with text, coloring, and a bit of texture. You also did this same concept with Jeonghan and it just...oof it was so perfect.

And then later on, when all the teasers were released - THIS stunning piece of work was done. I was SO impressed by the way you did the gifs with that cross effect. It’s not easy showing 13 pieces of anything. But you did THAT. And ALSO used the images of the teasers, you’re a MAD MAN BEA. A GENIUS. I’m still so shocked by how well done is this.

And you know what this talented fuck did WITH THE ACTUAL MV? You’re not going to fucking believe this. You’re really not. Why am I suddenly so angry. Just look at THIS and you’ll understand full well, why I am SCREAMING. I’ve NEVER seen anything done like this at the time it was posted. Like Bea REALLY set the fucking tone with this gfx. To this day I can’t think of a single gfx that captures an MV THIS WELL. UGH it’s BRILLIANT. If I HAD to pick a favorite - like you threatened to burn my pumpkin patch - I would choose this one. But because I’m not being threatened I’m now making this LONG ASS POST on WHY I LOVE BEA’S WORK SO MUCH-

I recently watched InuYasha in all of it’s entirity because I thought of this gfx a while back lmfao. Jeonghan as Sesshomaru and Joshua as a half demon? Satiates something inside of me. Anyways. The tones used here always get me. The soft beiges and purples at so NICE. I think I mentioned it reminded of buying lavenders out of burlap bags in romantic market places LOL. But the vibe still fits. The movie poster vibe is something you didn’t do often back then so it was cool seeing you try out a different style! The way top right and bottom left are correlated is something that flew right over my head back then. But now? I’m eating this shit up. It’s delicious.

Shout out to the “Story of the Moon” series Bea did with Meanie, in which she insp credited herself. Is that not, the biggest flex? I love all your star crossed lovers concepts. Bea loves to: yearn. OH btw, here’s the actual Story of the Moon. It’s so sweet. Probably not the original but SO pretty either way. I think this might be the original. Re: Bea loves to learn.

I swear I’m done with 2017 but I gotta mention part 2 of Demon!JiHan. I never realized how much I loved this series of gfx. Bea. This is GOOD shit.

2018

This is GREAT. One thing I loved about YMMD concept was how the gradient reflected on the concept of day to night. So I adored how Bea did this! It was a clever way to utilize 13 images since the aspect of day and night happen in 12hr cycles.

Just know anything Bea does of JiHan is most likely going to be some GREAT work because of the way a storyline is involved in it. I remember you talking to me about this concept so seeing it come into fruition was pretty fucking cool. Again. Bea loves to yearn. The colors reminded me of the 2015 piece I adored so much.

She did it again with the flawless approach on Demon!Jihan. It’s like year by year it becomes more and more sexy. I LOVE this. The editing on this is more “today Bea”. It’s got such a nice use of shadow and saturation. I remember those images were so hard for me to edit because of the shadow so I didn’t edit them LOL. But nothing stop’s Bea’s expertise. The red tones really get me. I love how this series went from soft burlap bag of lavender to reddish hues. It feels aggressive and I LOVE that.

This is probably the best birthday graphic that ever exists. Again Bea was so clever with how she displayed a lot of images from Joshua’s ENTIRE career. Along with text. Not just eras. Not just songs. But Joshua as a person as well. Whenever I see this I feel so fond. You can smell the love radiating off of this gfx. Joshua would be SO honored.

2019

This is so pretty. Like it reminds me of salwar kameez lmfao. I remember this fondly. It’s like they’re what is inside of a string light. Not light bulbs. It’s Seventeen’s Vocal Unit.

Shout out to this graphic that is reposted literally everywhere. Bea you unlocked every Carat’s deep want: Tatted!Seventeen. Your talent with manipulations is unreal. The tattoo series and Cyber/ Humanoid series really showcase that. Another shoutout to how Bea inspired that one set of teasers with the pressed flower freckles. I want this in a resin dish. Who on Etsy will do this for me-

(1) (2). The dichotomy of these 2 graphics still get me. In (1) there’s this warm and luxurious vibe. Then in (2) it’s the same luxurious vibe, but creepier than the previous because of the icy feel. It’s so neat. Both are SO beautifully done. I love the shimmer tears on Joshua in (1) and the icy sparkles on Vernon in (2).

2020

I REALLY love this set. The BUTTERFLIES are you KIDDING ME??? I love them. I’m so glad you incorporated them. I love how you subject edit. The way you create glow on the face is so nice. It literally reminds me of using “How Many Carats?!?!!” on the face. Which is SO fitting lmfao. On this work it’s a bit more... “soft glow” but I had to mention it. Joshua with the monarch butterflies makes my heart warm. I dunno if Monarchs are California’s butterflies. But so many places in my town are dedicated to Monarch butterflies so when I think of California, I think of Monarch butterlfies. Anyways I adore the FLUSH on these images. It’s so INNOCENT

I love the entire Cyber series but the way you did everyone’s bionic arm? INCREDIBLE. I can’t even begin to understand HOW you did this Bea. It almost makes me angry that you do this shit for FREE. I get to look at this for free? It feels illegal. I was so floored I missed several details. Like how you made the lighting work with this neon light vibe. That takes a GOOD artistic eye and you clearly have that. Jihoon’s current of energy on his face? U G H it’s so GO OD. I want to stare at it forever. WAIT the BACKGROUND as well. Listen the more I stare this. The more details I realize I miss because I’m so caught up in one detail. It’s just such an incredible series that you execute so flawlessly.

I just really love this. I can’t describe why. It’s just so nice to look at. That panel with Joshua’s glitter tears (p2)? I love it. All of it is so satisfying to look at and I got that entire vibe from the MV in general. So this was an appropriate way to display it!

I have yet to see all of your 2020 gfx so instead I’m gonna rb them and gush lol but really Bea. All your work is so good and if I could write a book on how much I appreciate them - (clearly) I would.

I love writing angst for Yoongi as well, it just comes so naturally with him as I imagine him to be a brooding, hard-working somewhat-introvert who only lets loose around people he really knows and loves. I Need U Girl (Yoongi Drabble~Angst, Fluff)

Yoongi stood as still as a statue, hands shoved in his pockets. If he even breathed, he was afraid you’d hear him, whip open the door, and scold him for even daring to be there. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, but he understood why it was what it was. He pushed you away, after all. It all started that fateful night when he was trying to work and you were being your usual goofy self.

“Yoongi, oh my god, look at this meme,” you giggled, placing your phone in front of his face.

Yoongi paused what he was doing for a few seconds to read it, then gave out a half-hearted laugh. “Wow, that’s… that’s funny.”

A couple minutes later, you were watching a Youtube video and you laughed out loud, the sound reverberating off the walls into his head. That was when the frustration started to well up. You knew he was working, couldn’t you be quieter?

It was when you started humming as you scrolled through your phone that he completely lost it. “Y/n!” he barked, causing you to jump. “Can you please stop?”

“Sorry,” you muttered.

But that wasn’t enough to quell the destructive flame of Yoongi’s rage. He had a bad day today. BigHit’s producers rejected his latest submission for a new album track, telling him it was too raw, too rough, and he needed to majorly clean it up before submitting it again.

And if that wasn’t enough, practice between the BTS members also went badly. It was like they were totally out of sync. After two full hours of nothing but trying and failing to learn the new choreography, Hobi threw his hands up and said there was no point. They’d just have to come back tomorrow and hope it went better.

On top of all that, Yoongi went to a cafe to pick up a coffee, thinking it would cheer him up, and some asshole bumped into him, causing his drink to spill everywhere. When he came home, you cooed over him and did your best to clean him up and make him feel better, but unfortunately, everything you did had the exact opposite effect. Yoongi felt smothered by your antics, and when he sat down to work, the apartment seemed too small for the both of you.

Long story short, life was shit, everything had gone to shit, everything was shit, and now, Yoongi was sick of your shit. “Y/n, you know I’m trying to work!” he growled.

You held up your hands. “I said I was sorry.”

“That’s not good enough! Look, you need to leave. I need some space, I need to finish this, so please, just… just leave.”

You stared at him, open-mouthed. Was he serious? You and Yoongi had been dating for a year now, and you knew there were going to be some bumps in the road when you moved in together a month ago, but you never expected this.

“Fine,” you said, getting up. “I’ll leave.” You pulled on some pants, grabbed a jacket and purse, and went out the door. Yoongi huffed and tried to get back to work, but his attention was all over the place now. After another unsuccessful hour, he gave up and started to get ready for bed.

You still hadn’t come home when he crawled under the covers, so he shot you a text.

Yoongles ❤️ (11:34pm): Hey, I’m sorry. You can come home now.

You didn’t respond, and Yoongi ended up falling asleep. The next morning, he found you asleep on the couch, still fully clothed, your body curled up around yourself the way you used to curl up against him.

Ever since that night, you slowly began to pull away from Yoongi, but the sad part was, he didn’t even realize it ‘til yesterday. He knew you were more distant than usual, but he shrugged it off as a side-effect of the fight, thinking you’d get over it. He hadn’t noticed how your laughter didn’t come as often, or how your hugs and kisses were getting more and more brief. He didn’t heed the warning signs, like how you didn’t make love anymore, or how you seemed to be spending more time with friends than with him.

Yesterday, though, he looked around and realized he hadn’t seen you in almost a week. You had texted him each night, letting him know you were sleeping over at your best friend’s house, so he knew where you were, but that didn’t comfort him any. In fact, it served to drive home just how much he fucking missed you. Missed your scent, missed your laugh, missed the way you included him in everything you did. He even missed the way your hair stuck up in every direction in the morning and how husky your voice sounded when you just woke up. He missed the way you’d stand there in nothing but one of his t-shirts, cooking breakfast as he tried not to stare. He missed everything about you, and he wanted it back no matter how badly he screwed up.

Which left him here, standing at the front door of your best friend’s house, wondering how in the hell he could make this right. Yoongi gathered his courage, raised his fist, and knocked.

He heard shrieks of laughter, one of which was unmistakable yours, when Yuqi threw open the door. “Food is–”

She stopped short when she saw Yoongi standing there instead of a delivery person. Yuqi put her hands on her hips, tossing him a ferocious glare. Uh-oh. If Yuqi was mad, it meant you had told her your boyfriend was being a jackass. “Is Y/n here?” Yoongi said, trying not to let her death-glare bother him.

“She is.”

“Can I see her?”

“That depends.”

“Yuqi,” your voice said, appearing from behind her. “I’ve got this.”

“Fine. I’ll just be down the street picking up a coffee.”

She grabbed her purse and left, pushing past Yoongi roughly. He gave her back an incredulous look before turning to you. “Hi,” he said timidly.

“Hi.”

“Can I come in?”

You nodded and stepped back to let him in. Yoongi twisted his hands around each other, trying to think of how to begin as you both settled onto Yuqi’s couch. “How have you been?” he asked.

“Fine.”

If Yoongi had asked that question at any other time, you would’ve answered with a full paragraph, gesturing and all. The way you only gave him that single syllable let him know you were hurt, and he hung his head as he realized he was the reason for that hurt.

“Are you gonna come back home today?” he mumbled.

You crossed your arms. “That depends.”

“On what?”

“On if you want me back home.”

“Of course I want you back home.”

“Do you? Did you even notice I was gone?”

“Of course I fucking noticed!”

You winced and Yoongi instantly regretted his sharp tone. “Sweetheart, please. I know I’ve been a total ass, and there’s no excuse in the world I can give for that. Despite what’s going on at work or in other areas of my life, I should always treat you with kindness and respect.”

You let out a choked sob, and Yoongi looked up to see your eyes filled with tears. “I did it for you, you know,” you croaked. “I thought you didn’t want me anymore, so I decided to put some distance in between us. I thought maybe if I did that, the break-up would be less painful.”

Yoongi’s eyes went wide as he realized just how extensive the damage he’d done was. He was afraid you’d push him away, but at this point, he didn’t care. He came and sat next to you, wrapping you in his arms which, of course, only made you cry harder. “Shhhh,” he murmured soothingly, rubbing circles on your back. “Sweetheart, please. Don’t cry. I don’t want to break up with you. I love you.”

“I love you, too,” you sniffled.

You drew apart and Yoongi smiled as he looked into your beautiful, watery eyes. “I’m sorry for being such a jerk.”

You coughed out a laugh. “It’s okay. I’m sorry for jumping to conclusions.”

“Let’s get your stuff and get you home, yeah?”

“Yeah.”

You spent the next few minutes texting Yuqi, letting her know you worked things out and were heading back home, and gathering your things. As you were looking for a shirt you misplaced, Yoongi suddenly grabbed you and spun you around, causing you to shriek.

He pressed his lips to yours, claiming your mouth in a way only he could. “I couldn’t wait another second,” he murmured as he drew back.

You wrapped your arms around his neck. “I never want you to wait to kiss me again.”

“I never will.”

He kissed you again, fervently, passionately, and you groaned as he brushed his tongue along your bottom lip. “Maybe when we get home, I can continue making this up to you,” Yoongi said breathlessly, cocking an eyebrow.

You smirked. “Maybe.”

Shortly after that, you both left, fingers intertwined the same way your souls were intertwined. Every day after that, Yoongi never failed to let you know how much he loved you and wanted you in his life.

* “All the cherry blossom petals have the same color...” : this was one of my first creations after i created this blog, and i still love this so much! i wish most of my creatios had this kind of coloring, but it’s hard to re-do it orz

* "Right now, I have to cross paths with this person...": i like how strong the green is!!!! the colors are vibrant but i think the gifs didn’t lose in quality. idk how i managed to do it, but i’m glad it turned out this way.

Daily Monsta X’s 1st survey

These are the official results for the survey conducted from Daily Monsta X. The survey form was open from November 2018 to February 2019, and a total 539 individual responses were collected.

Response data from all questions will be given here. At the end of the post, we will list all the questions in the extensive survey, as well as a link to the results spreadsheet.

Disclaimer: Results are not representative of the fandom, and should not be taken as such. This survey was conducted purely for fun.

Please note the survey was conducted before the release of Take. 2 We Are Here (and thus before Alligator) so it does not feature as a response on any of the questions. Jooheon is also used throughout, as he had not yet taken the stage name Joohoney at the time.

Responses shown in bar graphs/charts allowed multiple options to be chosen; those in pie charts allowed only one answer.

Favourite overall comeback

Shoot Out was the winner for favourite overall comeback, with Beautiful a close second and Dramarama third. I tracked the results for this answer, and Shoot Out and Beautiful were in close competition throughout, but in the end, Shoot Out took the win.

Favourite comeback song

Beautiful won this question, with Dramarama getting second and Jealousy and Shoot Out winning joint third. All In missed out on top 3 by 6 votes. Some songs, like Jealousy, Hero, and Stuck, won more votes for favourite song than they did for favourite comeback. Overall, competition was tougher in this category.

Favourite MV

Dramarama placed first, followed by All In, then Beautiful. Story-line MVs were comparatively more popular, although Fighter got fewer votes than expected.

Bias

I.M won most votes for bias (favourite member), followed by Wonho and then Jooheon. Don’t have a bias/all seven was also a very popular option, coming in 4th.

Bias wrecker

No bias wrecker/all seven was the most popular response, followed by I.M and then Kihyun. Wonho, who placed 2nd for bias, came 3rd for bias wrecker. I.M was most popular bias and bias wrecker.

Favourite ship

(Due to the large number of options, I had to compile these results in MS Excel)

Most popular response was I don’t ship/no ship. Most popular ship was HyungWonHo (Wonho and Hyungwon), followed by JooKyun (Joohoney and I.M). JooHyuk (Minhyuk and Joohoney) was third most popular ship. Nearly every ship was entered in others, but KiHyuk (Minhyuk and Kihyun) were the most popular among these.

Favourite concert unit

From Zero (Wonho and Hyungwon) got first for favourite concert performance unit, with Versace on the Floor (Shownu and Jooheon) getting second and How Long (Hyungwon and I.M) getting third.

Favourite release (album, mini album)

The Connect was voted most popular release, followed closely by Are You There?. The Clan pt 2.5 came in third, a fair number of votes behind.

Favourite promoted B track

Criteria for the options was being performed on music shows, but not as a title track. From Zero easily took first place. Second was Be Quiet, followed by Myself. This was one of the few categories Monsta X’s earlier work (Hero (album version)) got a fair amount of votes, coming fourth.

Favourite Japanese song

Livin’ It Up took first place, Spotlight second. Combined, these two options took almost 90% of the votes.

Favourite Jooheon song

Songs composed by Joohoney, not including his solo work. This was one of the most even distributions of votes, with the highest votes not exceeding 19%. First place was In Time, second White Love, narrowly beating Special. This is another category where earlier works (Blue Moon, Gone Bad) got comparatively more votes.

Favourite Wonho song

The least even distribution of votes. From Zero won almost half the votes. Second place, Oi, got roughly half. Third was If Only.

Favourite mixtape track

Options included both Joohoney and I.M’s mixtapes. Only solo-released tracks and those with MVs were counted. I.M’s Fly With Me got most votes, narrowly beating Joohoney’s Red Carpet. Combined, these two songs got nearly 70% of the votes. Third ranked I.M’s Who Am I.

Favourite OST

All songs released by members, either all seven or as solos, used in original soundtracks of dramas or games. First ranked Love Virus, narrowly edging The Tiger Moth. Can’t Breathe came third, winning around half the votes of each of the first two.

Favourite special clip

Hero (rooftop version) won most votes, followed by Stuck and then Beautiful (acoustic version). Earlier releases got most votes in this category, with the top two coming from the first three releases.

Favourite self-cam

First place for self-cam (or self-filmed) MV was Tropical Night, second Perfect Girl and third Rollercoaster. Vote distribution was relatively even in this category.

Favourite story line MV

First place with near 40% of the vote was All In, followed by Dramarama and then Destroyer. The other options got a combined 8% of the vote, a very small percentage.

Favourite variety

Monsta X-Ray is easily the most favourite voted variety, with first season getting first, second season getting second and third season with third.

Favourite female character

Dodo (Hyungwon) was first place voted female character, followed by Dior (Minhyuk) and then Wonhee (Wonho). Female characters from the rural village episode were comparatively less popular, with the exception of Wonhee.

Favourite skit couple

Another near landslide victory, with Namjoo x Yeojoo (Shownu and Kihyun) winning first, followed by Sandong x Minji (Kihyun and Jooheon), and then Hangyeol x Dior (Shownu and Minhyuk).

Following survey questions focused on the respondents.

Age

Majority of respondents, more than 40%, ranged from 18 to 22 years. Next most common age range was 13 - 18, and then 22 - 26. Very few respondents were outside the age range 13 - 40.

Location

Over half the respondents live in North America. Next most common region is Europe, followed by South East Asia. Together, these regions counted almost 90% of the total responses.

Language

Most of the respondents spoke English as their first language, taking final count as roughly 60% to 40%.

Source of updates

Majority of respondents got their Monsta X updates from tumblr, and second-most from Twitter. Together these were more than 400 out of the 539 responses. Instagram came third. As the survey was conducted on tumblr, results might have been skewed towards the site.

Introduced: how

Majority of respondents were introduced to Monsta X through their MV on YouTube. The second most common way was by a friend, followed by through a meme or funny video. There were a varied number of responses entered under others, including through live performances, YouTube reviews, etc.

Introduced: when

Most respondents became fans in the Dramarama and Jealousy eras, followed by Beautiful era, and then Rush and Hero era. No.Mercy and debut (Trespass) era converted relatively fewer fans.

Fan content

Most respondents, over 60%, are do not create content. The most common created content is fanfiction, which has around a third of the votes of non-creators, followed by graphics/photo edits/memes, and then gifs.

One word descriptions

Shownu: Most common response was Bear. Others like Dad (or variations thereof, like father, fatherly) and Leader were also very popular, as were attributes of him such as shy, humble, etc.

Wonho: Most common response was Soft. Most responses were on the more innocent side. Bunny (and squishy) were common as well, as was Sweetheart and Angel.

Minhyuk: Most common response was Sunshine, by a large margin. Other common responses included Extra (and similar), Adorable (surprisingly, very few instances of cute), as well as energetic, moodmaker, etc.

Kihyun: Most common response was Mom. Most responses were like this, with traits associated with mothers (fussy, gentle, etc.). Accordingly, Caring was a very popular response. Another very popular response was Talented (or vocals, vocal king, similar words).

Hyungwon: Most common response was Meme. Handsome was popular as well (along with ethereal and beautiful). Another common response was Prince.

Joohoney: Most common response was Cute. Similarly, adorable was also very popular, as was Honey. Another very common response was Talented, as well as Charismatic (and similarly, powerful).

I.M: Most common response was Baby. A large number of responses also stressed on how he was Eccentric (unusual, unpredictable, weird, etc.). Deep (and introverted) also featured a number of times.

Monsta X: Most common response was Family. There were a lot of responses in this vein (connected, brothers, united, etc.). Perfect/Flawless was also a common answer, as was Talented and Extra (and synonyms of such).

Favourite song

Many, many different responses were received. The most common answer was Beautiful. Second most popular song was easily Lost In The Dream. Other popular answers included From Zero, Underwater, and Destroyer.

Discussion

Overall, older comebacks tended to garner fewer votes, with some exceptions. Trespass and Rush were comparatively unpopular overall, but certain individual tracks from those eras were popular.

Although efforts were made to have the results as unbiased as possible, there were many sources of error. Firstly, most of the respondents found the survey through tumblr, which explains its high rank as a source of updates. Secondly, most of the admin’s fandom circle are writers, which could be why fanfiction is found as the most popular produced fancontent. Most importantly, the sample size is very small compared to Monsta X’s fanbase, so results are obviously not indicative of the fandom as a whole.

Welcome, everyone to our very first Jayvie week!

Jayvie Week is a week long event dedicated to the relationship of Evie and Jay from DCOM Descendants (and subsequent web series/books).

This is our first annual Jayvie Week! We’ve discussed this plenty and each of the three mods picked seven prompts that we then voted for our favorites. We hope they bring out some new lovely creations. We’re super excited to bring this to you!

For our first Jayvie week we unconsciously ended up with an AU theme (seriously we all came up with AU prompts it is pretty funny).

Replacement Options: Kidfic or College Life

We had a 4 way tie for some prompts. So we decided to give you the option to replace any of the above prompt days with one of the two replacement options.

For example, if you aren’t inspired to do anything for Day 5, which is a RomCom au, but Kidfic gives you ideas you can use Kidfic as your prompt for that day and still tag it for day 5. However, you can not replace any of the days for each other. So you can’t do Superheroes for day 1 and Rotten to the Core au for day 7.
