Another OC thing :3 this time my Fallout 4 one.

Okay so Silas is a Gen-3 synth prototype. I started making him when I first started playing fallout two years ago but kinda scrapped him till now and he’s kinda based off of Nick’s story just a little more complex.

Silas was one of the first Gen-3 synths built, and kinda like Nick he had memories implanted into his mind from different pre-war personalities that were scanned- just like Nick Valentine. Except the twist on this was that they wanted to see how many personalities they could fit in one synth brain until it broke- of course they inly did this to Silas. They put in about 14 personalities until Silas finally got really unstable. They out a range of just everyday people into the mind to criminals or unstable minds.

I actually came up with the different personalities names and what they were pre-war.

Silas- Fisher

Diana- housewife

Noah- prisoner

Lucas- Bartender

Dillon- Scientist

Luis- Doctor

Pedro- Business guy

Ella- Painter

Sophia- Psychologist

Luna- Lawyer

Parker- Soldier

Camila- child

Quinn- High school student

Sage- psychiatric patient

So Silas is the one that’s mostly out kinda like a front of a DID system, most of them are non hostile when they come out but about 4/14 of them are but only one will attack on sight. A way to know if he’s going to switch personalities is by his darker eye, usually it glows blue but if he starts to freak out he will lose control of the body and any of the 13 others will come out.

They eye will flicker between blue and yellow at first when he’s in any sort of distress, when it gets to yellow his voice will start to glitch out between 2 to 3 different voices including his own, then finally if it goes to red he has switched and the voice will change. After a few seconds after switching the eye will return to blue if their non-hostile, if they are hostile but don’t attack then it will go back to yellow, but if it stays on red they are going to attack.

Silas over the years had come up with a way to keep the other personalities down and from coming out erratically unless he goes into one of his episodes. If he experiences high levels of distress then his eye will flicker between all three colors and his voice will glitch between all the voices, he’ll have no control over what happens and usually just does an automatic shut down so he restarts and is able to have control again.

All the voices can only be heard in by Silas but sometimes they can be heard echoing Silas’ voice. He can be caught talking with himself a lot.

Silas loves fishing and doesn’t know how to fight. He can be found at one of the cabins at Far Harbor and refuses to go to Arcadia in fear he’ll accidentally hurt someone. He’s very nice and gentle overall tho.

#okay starting from the beginning of where ppl usually dislike him. apple woods chapter. #he doesn’t give hero/partner the CHANCE to explain themselves despite them being relatively good recruits up until that point. #and that legit might be my only gripe with that chapter bc!!! stories need conflict! I LIKE the conflict in apple woods!!! #hero and partner being punished so something they didn’t do! #the misunderstanding! how team skull (Skuntank) actually outplays the main duo with a clever yet rotten trick. I LOVE that it segways into- #one of the more sweeter scenes of guild members looking out for eachother. I LIKE APPLE WOODS CONFLICT. #but chatot just. not giving them a chance. is so dumb. #I’d personally fix this by having a lil montage of hero/partner fucking up on jobs. I legit dont mind him during that chapter except for that really stupid and frustrating moment. #NOW. BC CHATOT WOULD BE SKEPTIC. #IT FITS HIS CHARACTER!! #BUT WHAT DOES SUCK. IS HIM GOING ‘Dusknoir isn’t the bad guy. he didn’t do anything wrong’ #WHEN HE LITERALLY KIDNAPPED HERO AND PARTNER RIGHT I N F R O N T OF HIM. #(​NO LITERALLY. HIS CHARACTER IS IN THE FRONT ROW WHEN IT HAPPENED.) #and him. having the GALL to tell hero and partner they must’ve been ‘seeing things’ and downplaying the HELL they went through. #despite them being missing for hours/days. his own guild recruits. and his angry sprite showing up. #like. I think that’s when I genuinely despised him. #that and him going ‘OH I BELIEVED YOU THE WHOLE TIME HEEHOO :)’ shit was so fucking annoying. #just playing it off as a joke the second the guild started to believe hero and partner. #IMAGINE IF HE W A S ACTUALLY TESTING THE GUILD’S TRUST. SHOWCASING HIM AS THE MORE RESPONSIBLE AND RESPECTFUL RIGHT HAND OF THE GUILD. #and yes. Brine cave he saves hero and partner. but at that point I just didn’t care anymore. #he fucked those two over so much. that I didn’t care what ‘valiant’ sacrifice he had. #and he grills Team Skull for what they did OFF SCREEN. they couldn’t even give us THAT. #<<< THAT or him outright saying sorry would’ve been nice. It’s so overwhelming

It is very overwhelming! But i’m proud of you for trying. I would say take screenshots of a frame of your favorite show/series, or take a picture of a friend, yourself, a family member, and just try to replicate it. Sometimes having a reference is frowned down upon for some reason but that’s the way we learn. There’s no way you’re brain can just remember what everything ever looks like.

Also keep in mind that sometimes it’s better to just finish something and move on then to be stuck on it forever. If its finished then boom, that’s just another piece of experience.

I’m also still learning! I will never stop learning, and especially in anatomy there is a lot of things that i still lack. It’s just one of those things that will keep evolving forever

I can’t be the only one who never liked the “Ishimondo are Chihiro’s parents” thing right?

Idk, it just always felt weird to me. Like, I like Ishimondo and I do enjoy the Taka+Mondo+Chihiro dynamic, but when people put them in the stereotypical family dynamic (ie; Taka’s the mom, Mondo’s the dad, and Chihiro is the child) it just loses it’s uniqueness y’know?

And it kinda infantilizes Chihiro which I’m also not a fan of.

From my perspective, I’ve seen people treat Chihiro like they’re a toddler who doesn’t know what sex is or needs their ears blocked from no-no words and stuff.

i don’t think people realize that at this point it’s much more important for queer stories to be shown in a positive light than it is to portray them “realistically”.

(there’s also an issue in the idea that queer characters/couples not suffering 24/7 is inherently unrealistic, but that’s another can of worms.)

there are plenty of “realistic” queer love stories out there. we get it. most queer people lead miserable lives, never get happy endings, and are generally shunned from society, right? we know this. we see it all the time. we experience it. i’d like to think that we’ve come far enough to say that representation is no longer just about queer people being included—it’s also about depicting them in a way that’s somehow meaningful, fulfilling, and—dare i say—hopeful.

is will’s self-hatred, shame, and overall reluctance to come out to anyone a realistic portrayal of the experience of being a closeted gay kid in the 80s? yes, of course it is. nobody thinks it isn’t. the problem is that, ultimately, this is a TV show with a narrative. it’s supposed to tell a story, and a good one at that.

my question is this: what does will having unrequited feelings for his (supposedly) straight best friend do for the narrative? what does it do to develop any characters involved? the answer is nothing. it does absolutely nothing. it’s just another unnecessary tragic ending for a queer character who’s already suffered beyond belief. will’s arc could have easily been separate from mike’s; it could have been all about self-acceptance and gaining confidence in his identity, but this is very pointedly the route they didn’t choose, and that is why queer people are upset by the path vol 2 went down.

to watch a gay kid’s feelings be used as a prop to push the main heterosexual couple back together is humiliating. to see a lesbian watch as her crush kisses her shock-factor boyfriend is humiliating. it’s like it’s being rubbed in our faces—hey, look, people like you will never be happy! haha!

that’s not the representation we need anymore. it’s not impactful or satisfying or new, it’s just depressing. realism only matters so much in a sci-fi horror/drama, and i’ve honestly never seen so many people bitch and moan about realism until the conversation was about queer characters finding happiness.

so no, queer people are not just sad because their ship didn’t become canon. that is not what this is about. pay more attention, please.

Fern was just walking back home one day and just stumbled into them on the way and was like “Wow! you’re coming home with me now!” And they became near inseparable ever since lol

In all honesty, Fern would’ve been shocked to see Poppy (because why wouldn’t he like wtf? Little green guy that looks like Jake?? In the middle of nowhere?) and tried asking them a bunch of questions to which Poppy didn’t really have all the answers to, then he just kinda offered him to come back to the treehouse with him

I actuall y did have a mini comic i made I think last year to show how they met BUT It didn’t turn out as well as I liked (mostly because I didn’t plan it out beforehand) so I might redo it at some point
