In the last two weeks alone, Trump's Supreme Court has:

Overturned Roe v. Wade.

Severely limited Miranda protections by ruling that citizens can't sue the cops who don't read them their Constitutional rights.

Expanded gun rights less than two months after schoolchildren were slaughtered and weeks after a racist shooting in a community supermarket, by striking down sensible New York gun control laws.

And now eviscerated the power of the EPA to do its job and try to protect against climate change by ruling it can't regulate emissions from power plants.

These "justices" are not only legislating from the bench and making decisions that are stripping human rights and WILL CAUSE DEATHS in opposition to decades of precedent (50 years for Roe, 60 for Miranda, 110 for the NY gun laws):

Many of them are unfit to serve.

Clarence Thomas's wife is an insurrectionist and election denier who is refusing to cooperate with the January 6 committee. Thomas has also not recused himself from decisions regarding the January 6 committee. He is married to a literal traitor to this country and has blatant conflict of interest. He MUST resign or be impeached and removed.

Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the bench was rammed through the Senate despite credible accusations that he is a rapist (as well as possibly guilty of financial misconduct or crimes). Investigators refused to consider evidence. This investigation must be reopened, and if more evidence is presented (as I suspect it will be), he should be impeached, removed, and prosecuted.

Neil Gorsuch perjured himself in his Senate confirmation hearings about Roe. He said he recognized and respected it as the law of the land, yet last week he cosigned Alito's reactionary brief that claimed not only that Roe was not law, but that it never had been. Thus Gorsuch should be impeached, removed, and if possible prosecuted for lying under oath.

While I don't know of evidence that Amy Coney Barrett is legally unfit to serve (despite being a far-right-wing reactionary), her appointment was illegitimate under the Republicans' own arbitrary rules: they refused to even consider Obama's candidate for the Court after Scalia's death because it was "in an election year" although that was MARCH, then forced through Barrett's a WEEK before the election (and less than a month after RBG's death). Senate Republicans need to acknowledge that either her appointment or Gorsuch's was illegitimate (and McConnell should be censured for it).

I won't say anything someone hasn't said before probably (although I am going to use my own fucking words jesus fucking christ) and I still have an hour to go (ANOTHER HOUR???) but as a humanities junkie, former academic, and person who has been plagiarized I have been brought to RAGE TEARS by this video. Do you have any idea HOW HARD research and writing is? Do you have any idea how UNVALUED it is? The people he stole from made at best PEANUTS and at worst NO FUCKING MONEY for their hard work. Do you even need me to point out how many culture writers and journalists have been put out of work in the past ten years due to literary or journalistic websites being shut down because they didn't generate enough revenue??? DO YOU? And these fuckwits waltz in and scoop up piles of money. Hbomberguy makes the larger structural points VERY well and VERY clearly and I am so fucking grateful he did it. I want to talk to this man's high school teachers, take a look at that business degree (is it real, even?). Not just Somerton, but the other plagiarists highlighted. If you plagiarize, seriously, get therapy and find out why you are so obsessed with approval that you would steal from people. You're pathetic. You need help. Get off reddit or video games or the internet and go do your homework instead of procrastinating or using the automated plagiarism machine, ChatGPT. Why don't you DO something with your life? If you don't want to learn anything, why don't you go work on a farm or do something that's actually useful for society but where you can't hurt anyone with your intellectual dishonesty and congenital laziness?

Honestly, it never ceases to infuriate me how dirty Jodie was done both during and after her era. She literally:

- Had people go against her from the moment her casting was announced purely because she was a woman.

- Had her era almost instantly labelled as "too political" despite the fact that a) a lot of the stories were painfully centrist at best and b) when compared to previous eras, the political commentary was significantly watered down.

- Got stuck with a sub-par showrunner and a BBC committee that immediately started sabotaging the era's marketing the moment TV ratings began to drop (completely ignoring streaming figures, which remained consistent).

- Carried all 3 of her seasons, despite most of the episodes failing to stick the landing.

- Gave an outstanding performance despite the fact that the writers never gave her much to work with.

- Had what was arguably the most controversial episode of all time happen right in the middle of her era, and still kept going despite all the vile attacks that were directed towards her because of it.

- Nearly ended up with Revolution of the Daleks being her last episode because S13 was nearly cancelled due to Covid.

- Kept making videos during lockdown out of her love for the character.

- Was almost constantly overshadowed by previous eras in official marketing, projects and events in this time.

- Turned down multiple acting opportunities for S13.

- Filmed Flux despite Covid-19 restrictions and the fact that production constantly suffered from delays and setbacks.

- Filmed Power of the Doctor while she was pregnant and suffering from morning sickness, only for the BBC to under-advertise it.

- Was immediately replaced by David Tennant purely just to get people back for the 60th (no hate towards RTD and Tennant, they're both fantastic and probably the best way of getting people back on board, but it was pure cowardice on the BBC's part).

- Literally all the show's marketing was amped up the moment her era ended.

She kept the show going despite everything and deserves so much more respect because of it. I really hope she's given a really good set of Big Finish stories like Colin Baker was, cos she absolutely deserves them after everything she went through.

IM FUCKING ANGRY AND I NEED TO VENT so here you go.

So i just saw an edit of Elle and Spencer and how they were failed by the team (@ellegreenaslay on tiktok) and they are totaly right.

When Elle was showing clear signs of PTSD and said that she was not okay the entire team (by that i mean Hotch, JJ, Derek, Gideon) disregarded it except Reid. He sat down and talked to her, helped her the best he could. But then ofc she killed that guy and left, and honesty good for her.

Fast forward Reid gets kidnapped and shit, develops an addiction, gets PTSD, and the team (again) is like "its just emphaty" and didnt even acknowledge his problem. But you know if Elle would have been there she comforted him as he did her.

My point is BOTH OF THEM DESERVE BETTER and fuck the team, thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Actually I'm speaking up about this because shit gets to a point where I don't care about being polite anymore. The racism directed towards native american people is fucking insane and it's constantly swept under the rug. The amount of anti-indigenous stereotypes and language that are used and that people think they can fucking get away with is gross and demeaning and it pisses me off. This is even putting the governments aside, who very much don't care about our plights, and focusing directly on how people describe us in general. You have no fucking idea how long I've heard us being described as savages, unintelligent, dirty, aggressive, and how many times people think saying fucking dumb-sounding gibberish is speaking the indigenous language. Newsflash! There's an uncountable amount of languages that native americans have created that, oh yeah, are now mostly lost to time because of colonization and because they were languages taught by word of mouth.
