Inherently involve transfems. I don't know why everyone who talks shit about this thinks that trans mascs talking about their shit is going to be transfems fault or business. Some people are shitheads but that's not an exclusive trait.

Mean there's a systemic oppressive force. Like there's transphobia but y'all seem to think we're saying "I'm oppressed for being a man" and not "I need a word for the unique ways I'm dealing with this oppression"

Does Tim have a picture of them behind his desk?

Still not over the fact that Lucy is just casually sitting at his desk, like she owns the place - with Tim having no problem whatsoever with this

Tim immediately agreeing to help her!! Like he told her in 5.19 (what can I say? I love how supportive they are of each other)

I'm actually really glad that Tim is aware of Primm - it wasn't made clear last season whether he knew it or not, so it's good that it's not a secret. And that it's going to be addressed!

The callbacks to TO Tim/Rookie Lucy are going to be so good <3

The married energy with the teasing, the smiles and Lucy already regretting her life choice here. Reminds me of her prank with the Make a Wish kid and how Tim turned the tables on her by enrolling her to keep the kid.

I'm curious as to how Lucy is going to deal with Wild Card Tim... By the looks of it, she may not like it - and I wonder what Tim is going to do that makes her ask him point blank if he is trying to sabotage her... 👀 It gave me some 'Plain Clothes Day' flashbacks when I watched it the first time.

R: Which writers (fanfic or otherwise) do you consider the biggest influence on you and your writing?

Ooh, thanks, RB! This is a great question.

I think @misqueue might be one of the most influential writers in regards to fanfiction. The way they wrote, they made fanfic literature. They made fanfic be something deeper than people in funny situations or getting it on. They really knew how to explore character -- and in a way I've always wanted to emulate.

I also think Rainjoy and a profound effect on me. While I have mixed feelings now about All The Other Ghosts -- that work was an analytical evaluation of fandom, and the conversations in it transcends just being a piece of fanfic. It's a commentary on fandom and I find that so fascinating.

Of course there's also @damnpene - who was my first beta, and really taught me a lot about writing. She always had the ability to write concise things and helped me hone in my skills as a writer.

There's my old friend @multsicorn - who used to stay up with me and discuss discourse and fanfic and all the complicated things that can go into good storytelling and character work.

And of course there's @snarkyhag - who is my beta now, and whom I love and adore because she's a constant cheerleader and it always brightens my day when she finds something I've written worth value.
