Rewatching s4 and honestly i think it is my least favorite just because it has the lowest rewatch value for me. Besides the Benvi scenes in the last episode, Trent's proposal, and the scene where Fabiola is diffusing tension between Eleanor and Devi at the party, I don't feel the need to rewatch any of it. I know everyone hates on s2 but the plot was tight and it was hilarious plus it had way more Aneesa!

I agree, actually. Like I know this is not the point of the show but I feel like this season suffered so much by having Ben and Devi barely talk the entire FIRST HALF of the season. Like it just felt so off and weird.

They could have done the whole falling out WAY better!!! Like the fall out in season 2 was done very well actually. It just felt like they were making up drama to stall the endgame. Ben and Margot should have broken up in episode 1 or 2. There was no point to their relationship it was stupid.

I wish so bad that Ben and Devi became a couple after episode 5. They could have basically done the same things and gotten the same points across AND had Ben and Devi as a couple. Like it would have been so much better!!!!!!!! I’m mad about it. Like season 4 had such wonderful potential and I feel like they dropped the ball. Like they were hoping that having a strong finale would make up for the weak first half of the season.

I loved everyone’s storylines besides Ben and Devis. (In the romantic sense. I loved Devis individual storyline. Ben barely had a storyline so no comment there). Like I adore them and am SO HAPPY they got together but I just feel like it could have been done better. For time the first part of the season could have been slightly redeemed if THEY HAD FUCKING TALKED TO EACH OTHER ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!! They NEEDED that talk and I am so pissed we didn’t get one.

Also the love confession needed to be way more than just, “I love you”. I needed a whole ass speech from him.

Not at all relevant but where was all the John McEnroe narration???? Like I feel like he was barely there and that made me so sad.

I still don't understand why the music was so ominous during the kiss scene? And then Aziraphale says, "I forgive you" like it was something sinful or bad? With a context of possibly because Crowley is a demon but also coming off kind of homophobic? Yet we all know it's canon neither of them have gender so... I don't get it.

Considering how romantic and cute the show was for the other couples, I don't understand why the MAIN characters kiss had to be so sad and off putting. Like... what the f*ck?

ok so dream byler kiss...

this is the scenario i imagine:

will is sitting in mike's room (he's staying there as long as the byers are in hawkins).

mike comes in. he's holding the painting and wants to talk about it. he had talked to el and she confirmed to him that she had nothing to do with the painting. will sees the painting and starts panicking.

mike asks will why he lied...why he said that el commissioned the painting from him when she didn't.

there is a pause...and mike reminds will that he can talk to him and tell him anything. but, will is terrified and tells mike this...that he's scared of losing him if he knows the truth. however, mike reassures will that he could never do anything to make mike want to leave.

this encourages will to open up and he finally confesses everything to mike.

as will talks (and goes into detail about how he's felt for the longest time), mike has a realization about his feelings.

and when will finally finishes pouring his heart out, he tries to leave, saying something like "but you love el so there's really no point of me feeling this way and i'll just leave you so it hurts less when you tell me that"

but mike grabs his arm and says "will...wait" then goes to give him a soft kiss, leaving will breathless. when they pull away, will is literally frozen to the ground. he asks mike "why...?" and mike says, "you don't know how i actually feel, will. it's always been you".

they smile and stare into each other's eyes before holding hands and going to fight whatever monster they have to fight next.

so...that's kind of how i want it to go :,) just something very sweet and low-stakes that allows them to really pour their hearts out to each other <3
