Mercenary oc Andreas Quiazon

this is their party outfit

not historically accurate the bottom bit of their “shorts” were inspired by a 1800 century drawers as well as crossing the tassels on decorative corsets. Also they’re style of whatever the top was called is very different. This particular cut also came from a 1800 drawing of a costume for 15th century-esque theatre sets

now im going to rant about this oc you have the option to not read 

Andreas is a leader/representative for a good sized number of mercenaries. Their group favors richer clients requiring the skill to impress the clients and allow them to get away with certain things. They’ve gained enough social approval to be invited on occasion to parties. 

The mercenary group due to how they go for richer and more prominent clients are very big on not wanting to die and avoid conflict as much as possible. They either go for intimidating or bargaining their way to complete their goals. When hired for battles they usually serve as stand-ins to look like whichever client had a lot of people in their army.

Their favorite jobs are when they have to retrieve/guard/escort since those are considered to be less risky and they just prefer it.

Andreas is non-binary but because of the setting of where they live and that non-binary wasn’t labeled they’re just confusedly going between “im pretty sure i’m not a woman but I’m not a man either” and everyone in their mercenary group goes sure thing mate. 

They lost their eye during their earlier years of being a mercenary where they weren’t a leader but instead a run away wanna be scholar who happens upon a travelling group of mercenaries that were moving cargo. They joined the band out of convenience of travelling in numbers but through shenanigans gave up their ideas of being a learned person to becoming a rather fancy looking mercenary.

Andreas also uses an unfortunate way of solving problems as they often offer the option that instead of going into a full on fight they do a one on one duel where the two parties will respect the wishes of the winner. Because of this and Andreas being the smallest and slimmest looking of the group (as well as being well dressed and over all pampered looking) they often get picked for the one on one duel though they’ve only lost once in these duels.
