Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should resign, calling him an obstacle to a two-state solution.
THE BIG PICTURE: Speaking about the aftermath of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack and the prime minister's counteroffensive, Pelosi said Netanyahu is ultimately responsible.
• "We recognize Israel's right to protect itself. We reject the policy and the practice of Netanyahu. Terrible," she said in an interview with RTÉ's Six One News in Ireland. "What could be worse than what he has done in response?"
WHAT SHE'S SAYING: Pelosi said he has been an obstacle to peace in the region for years.
• "I don't know whether he's afraid of peace, incapable of peace, or just doesn't want peace, but he has been an obstacle to the two-state solution," she added.
ZOOM OUT: The comments come after the House on Saturday voted on a bipartisan basis to pass a $95 billion foreign aid package, that $26 billion in aid for Israel and for humanitarian crises in conflict zones, including in Gaza.
• Many House Democrats grappled bitterly about the vote over concerns with Israel's conduct in Gaza and the inclusion of aid for Gaza and other humanitarian crisis spots.
GO DEEPER: U.S. urges Israel to "be careful and strategic" regarding response to Iran attack
Editor's note: This story was corrected to show the $26 billion for Israel includes roughly $9 billion for humanitarian aid (not $26 billion for military aid to Israel).

The most telling thing about Zionists is about how they will excuse the conditions that Palestinian prisoners are subjected to because they are allegedly "terrorists."
Because even if they were terrorists, that is not how prisons should work??? All humans deserve a fair trial, yes, even if they were supposedly a terrorist. All humans deserve a good diet, yes, even if they were supposedly a terrorist. All humans deserve a prison free from torture, yes, even if they were supposedly a terrorist. All humans deserve to be treated like a human, yes, even if they were supposedly a terrorist.
I like in the UK. If someone is sent to prison for murder, they would be allowed a fair trial, an appropriate diet, a stay completely free from torture, and are always allowed to retain their human rights. Do these things always happen? No, and the prisons are supposed to be investigated and punished when they don't. Do you know why? Because criminals, and yes, terrorists, are human beings, and human beings have human rights.
I can not fucking emphasise how much EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE, even the most despicable and vile people on the planet, should be allowed a fair trial. But that's not what happens to Palestinian prisoners whether they are a regular criminal, a "terrorist" or a civilian yanked off the street by the IDF.
They are systematically tried in a military court with a 90-99% conviction rate. Trials are held in Hebrew, which most Palestinians are not fluent in. Palestinians are allowed to be imprisoned for up to 6 months without trial. Compare that to the UK's 14 days. And those imprisonments can be extended every 6 months for another 6 months, leaving many Palestinians imprisoned indefinitely. Their charges are hidden to both them and their lawyers, leaving them struggling to understand how to appeal to the courts. This happens to teenagers. This happens to children.
"The teenagers that are arrested are being trained to be terrorists!" Then the teenagers should be sent to a juvenile prison, receive a support and safety network, rehabilitation, protection and a way to escape whoever is allegedly training them to be a terrorist. But that's not what happens. Racism, abuse and torture is what happens.
"But the people arrested are terrorists!" Surprisingly controversial take but no I do not think that a terrorist deserves to be held indefinitely without a trial or charge and be given a biased and unfair trial, if one even happens. And let's be honest with ourselves, shall we? Judging from the ridiculously biased trials, most of the "terrorists" in Israel's prisons for Palestinians are probably not terrorists.
TLDR: No I don't think that even someone that is actually a terrorist would deserve the treatment and conditions that Palestinians get in Israeli prisons and law systems. Yes I think that even an actual terrorist deserves a fair trial. What the fuck is wrong with you guys actually.

🇮🇱🇪🇬🇵🇸 FOOTAGE OF ISRAELI STRIKES ON THE GAZA BORDER CROSSING WITH EGYPT
Israeli Defense Forces have launched air strikes on the border checkpoint in the city of Rafah on the border with Egypt, forcing the Egyptians to close the last crossing out of Gaza for Palestinian civilians.
From the very beginning of the current conflict, Palestinian residents have been trying en masse to cross this border crossing point into Egyptian territory, fleeing attacks from the Israeli army.

Israeli forces are deliberately shooting at Palestinian paramedics
“It’s not just the frequency of the attacks that has changed, Jumaa said, but the nature of the injuries too. ‘Israeli forces used to shoot Palestinians in their legs, but now intentionally shoot them in the neck or chest, which involves a more serious threat to their lives,’ she explained. During Israel’s raids on Jenin last month – the largest attack in two decades – she operated on three people with neck wounds. Recently, she said, she has also seen a significant number of children among the injured. ‘It is particularly distressing for me, as a mother.’
“Sometimes Jumaa is herself a target; as the attacks on Palestinians intensify, so too do attacks on ambulance workers trying to assist the injured. The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), has recently recorded incidents of Israeli soldiers physically assaulting medics and targeting their ambulances with live ammunition, rubber bullets and tear-gas canisters. In total, there were 193 incidents targeting staff and vehicles in 2023 – a 310% increase compared with the same period last year.
“During the attacks on Jenin last month, Israeli soldiers killed eight Palestinians and injured 50 more, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reports. Israeli forces also directly targeted two ambulances belonging to the PRCS with live ammunition. Jumaa, who was in one of these ambulances, said that Israeli forces shot at the engine of the vehicle in order to disable it.
“Several health workers who spoke to Novara Media reported recent incidents of occupation forces blocking ambulances from reaching the injured and from getting them to hospital. 48-year-old paramedic Waleed Abu Alhaija recalled coming within a metre of a casualty in Jenin last month, only for an Israeli sniper to open fire, warning him and his colleagues against evacuating them. ‘The four of us paramedics suffered injuries from shrapnel from the sniper’s fire,’ he said. ‘The injured person continued to bleed until he died.’”

That's a lot of money for an already powerful military.
It could've paid for a lot of American's healthcare.

🇮🇱🇪🇷🚨 💥ISRAELI FORCES COME UNDER ATTACK IN ERITREA, SENIOR ISRAELI OFFICER KILLED💥
A new report published in the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen News Agency says an Israeli Military base located in the Dahlak Archipelago off the coast of Eritrea came under attack on Thursday, leading to the death of a senior Israeli military officer.
According to sources in the report, the attack was launched against a mountain base housing an Israeli observation post facing across the Red Sea towards Yemen.
The attack comes as Israeli Occupation Forces continue their siege and bombardment of the Gaza Strip, angering Muslim communities across the world as the Israeli occupation commits countless war crimes against the Palestinian people, including the targeting of residential homes in the densely populated strip.
In response, Islamic militias across the Middle East have been threatening action against US and Israeli Forces housed in illegal military bases throughout the region.
On Saturday, the USS Carney, a US Destroyer positioned somewhere in the Red Sea, intercepted four cruise missiles and 15 drones that were supposedly launched from Sanaa, Yemen towards Israeli Forces.
Further reports stated that Saudi Arabia also intercepted one of the cruise missiles as the US Destroyer Carney fought off attacks against Israel for more than 9 hours, according to CNN.
Israeli media is reporting that the payload of the combined missiles and drones launched against Occupied territory amounted to 1.6 tons of ordinance.
In response to the increased attacks on Israeli and US forces in the region, the US launched air strikes overnight targeted against "Iranian facilities" located in Syria.
"These precision self-defense strikes are a response to a series of ongoing and mostly unsuccessful attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-backed militia groups that began on October 17," a statement on the US Department of Defense website read.
"If attacks by Iran’s proxies against U.S. forces continue, we will not hesitate to take further necessary measures to protect our people."
US and Israeli Forces have not commented on whether any action will be taken in response to the strike on Israeli Forces off the Eritrean coast.
