Remember how people said that black anti-racist media shouldn't try and be palatable to white audiences, because black people don't owe it to the people in privilege to sugar coat the reality of oppression or to be polite when discussing it just to spare white feelings? And how inherently good people will prioritize the message while those with more racism in them than they want to admit will hyper focus on how the media offended them because that's what matters more to them? And how that's a bad thing?
Yeah something about how some men who claim to be not sexist and in support of women's rights are responding to Barbie saying they didn't like it cause the message was "too much" and was made to prioritize the female audiences and not them. Something about how feminism doesn't need to be made palatable to The Boys, and how women shouldn't need to hold back on our stories and anger to have the message be respected.

Proverbs 31:29 says, “Many Women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
This award is for Tina, Bernadine, Stella, Katherine, Tanya, Betty, Reva, and Queen Ramonda.
Through your gift you've given been a present and presence that have given our stories a voice. A voice that's far too often silenced by society, that can’t handle the baseline of your talent. You’ve shown the world that Black women are complex, beautiful, nuanced spirited souls whose stories are important not just to us, but to the thread of fabric in which we exist.
You are the regal and calmness and rich tone of Cicely Tyson.
The flair and bespoke aura of Dorothy Dandridge.
The elegance, poise and armor of Diahann Carroll.
And yet still, you are you. Angela Bassett. Blueprints get remade by carbon copies, that’s why we shall reference you moving forward as the Imprint. A foundation of all the goodness of us.
They were delayed, we always knew. Add Oscar Winner in front of a name that stood on distinction long before the title was given. For Crowns can never be lost or given by those who never ruled.
We rejoice loudly.
