lmao guess whos activated ✨blathering oaf mode✨ again (clue: its me)
(cut because length and spoilers, read at your own peril)
so this post got me spiralling into detective mode again and yes i know douglas suggesting it might have been war/pollution but i have certified trust issues™ and i dont believe that for one darn second
BUT
i also don't think it's a kiss. lemme explain horrifically
so i took another look at the two frames we have of The Leaked Smooch™ and the background has a lot to be desired (if you take into account that the boys are taking up most of the frame (duh), plus already fairly average quality video PLUS compression from when i captured it)
but i think we can safely rule out that The Leaked Smooch™ doesn't happen in the theatre here, mainly because even though the quality is bad, the glasses in the Smooch™ are crowley's modern ones, not the ones we saw him wear in the 1941 flashback in s1, plus his hair is differently styled... so yes can pretty confidently say this is not the kiss we are looking for
so i wanted to pinpoint what era the theatre bit is actually set in, and therefore i set about identifying the theatre in question. turns out kids that im not a good researcher (despite it literally being my job) so it took FUCKING AGES but i eventually found set photos of the boys entering a theatre, specifically the hippodrome in bo'ness:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now this was a turn-up for the books, because that's crowley's 1941 costume right??? id recognise that iconic fit anywhere. az's costume is trickier to pinpoint bc he wears the same damn thing but pretty sure this is a match to the church scene:
Tumblr media
so we know from s1 that we have the church scene yada yada, and crowley offers aziraphale a lift home... which we know he accepts given that the s2 trailer gives us the ✨Dinner of '41✨ scene:
Tumblr media
the other bit however to this puzzle is that there ALSO a set pic of aziraphale at the hippodrome in his magician's outfit. given the frame from the trailer where he looks like he's about to brick it going on stage, surrounded by lovely burlesque girlies and dame siân phillips in period dress, AND there were extras on the set dressed in ww2-type army uniforms, so i think it can be fairly surmised that this bit also occurs in the 40s
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
so my thought process is that we're getting two separate scenes (kinda) from the 40s, we have the church bit from s1 plus the Dinner of '41 scene as its own entity, but then, like
aziraphale is doing his magic act as a side hustle to this burlesque show? and crowley turns up to watch him, hiding out up in the box?
if we follow this completely made up narrative ive just come up with, aziraphale, im assuming, finishes up and gets changed into his normal clothes, and then goes up to this box to meet crowley?
to this end, i captured and slowed down the bit in the opening sequence where aziraphale and crowley (sorry douglas, not buying it) are in the box... and-
now to my eye, the motion of them in the clip looks like they are dancing? i don't have the source to hand but we've had it confirmed that a choreographer was brought into s2, not impossible az would go up to meet crowley after his magic act, whilst there's still something going on on the stage, and the two end up dancing or something? and az bless his heart gets spooked from that?
im reasonably convinced that this might be the origin of the 'you go too fast for me' line - something happens and ultimately aziraphale gets spooked given that he's only just realised he has Feelings for crowley, and so my boy fucking legs it (a lil post i made a while ago about this exact scenario if you'd care to peruse)
other thing to note:
there is a figure that is lurking behind aziraphale and crowley in the box, which looks like it moves specifically in sync with crowley, so it could be a shadow, or someone/thing is in the box that they aren't aware of 👀 so maybe this thing (?) witnesses it all? whatever went down in the box?
so in my addled feral mind, ive come up with a speculation that even as im breathing life into it sounds unhinged and so implausible it's hilarious -
i put to you, members of the jury, that something was meant to happen in that box, and it didn't... that something being that crowley makes a move of some kind - kiss, dance, hug, declaration, WHATEVER - and aziraphale was meant to accept it/reciprocate/idk, but didn't.
and that fucks with the plan, and for lack of better terminology creates a nexus event (lmao thanks loki) which in turns starts screwing with other events, somewhat like i theorised in this post here tehe
are aziraphale and crowley, essentially, the earth's endgame? idk about u but ive read enough angst fics to know that it's not inconceivable that crowley and aziraphale's mere existence may have been part of god's plan to represent free will on earth, defend humankind, and give balance and meaning to it
so what would happen if aziraphale essentially rejected that? did the most human thing possible and resisted the plan? idk i feel at this point i am just writing a fic and this will all be ludicrously incorrect bUT half the fun is torturing yourself over your own theories right 🙃

In Those Moments
(Spoiler warning for S1 and S5 of CC and trigger warnings for sewerside thoughts, hospital settings, and needles. Special thanks to @cornerstoneeeee who kinda inspired me indirectly to write this and to @blugnettabutterflies for encouging me to write this. After several hours, 4 shots of espresso and a grilled cheese sandwich here's the finished story. for a better experience, please listen to the songs I linked. I hope you enjoy ^^)
“Why did they have to help me?” Jones asked himself lying in the hospital bed. He didn't want to be here anymore. He didn't want to live after losing his girlfriend who meant so much to him. Clair De Lune slowly plays in the background as his colleagues chat worryingly about him. He stared at the sterile white walls that surrounded him. He could feel the IV needle that was in his arm, pumping whatever fluid was needed into him just to barely keep him alive. The smell of the sterile environment stung in his nostrils. It smelled of nothing but at the same time his brain, at least with what little he was functioning with, tried to piece what it was. The sounds of the heart monitor rang in his ear. Everything felt like it was lasting forever. He just wanted to be gone already. He started to think “Maybe if I just close my eyes ill finally be gone… Or wake up to that this entire case was just one tremendous nightmare.” he nervously chuckled at the last bit as he started to fall asleep.
“Sir? Detective Jones?” He started to rustle awake at the sound of his name being called out. Upon finding the origin of the voice, he was greeted by Mia Loukas, her scars and injuries even showing up in death. “Ah thought you had passed out again sir” Jones never really interacted with Mia outside of when she came in to report a situation that required his attention. Looking around, he noticed that he was no longer at the hospital. It sure as hell smelled like he was somewhere else as well. It smelled of fresh coffee and baked goods. A song played in the background that he only faintly recognized from a Japanese murder mystery game. He couldn't quite place his finger on it. The place had a homey feel to it. Pieces started to fall into place for him. They were in a local coffee shop in downtown Grimsbourgh. “Sir, please don’t give up yet” Mia spoke in a calm but serious voice. “Huh?” Jones had dazed out while trying to absorb the atmosphere of where he is. “Am I dead?” he said in a nervous yet hopeful tone. “Not quite sir. But if I and a few others don't help you, you will be.” Jones looked down, a shadow obscuring his face. “I don’t need anyone’s help…” Mia sighed in frustration. “Look I know you barely know me but let me try to help you. I may have been some beat cop but I and many others on the lower parts of the force and probably some of the higher parts look up to you. Heck often times when I am on patrol, ill hear civilians talk about the deeds that you and Player did five years ago. You inspire people.”
He sat there in silence. “How could I of all people, inspire people? Player did most of the dirty work” Mia scowled at that comment. She grabbed his face and stared directly into his eyes. “I bet you dimes the dozen that Player would not have been able to do it without you. Heck, I bet you that the player was inspired by you more than most of us on the force which drove them to work harder. Plus without you, so many people wouldn't have the courage to stand up for themselves. Close your eyes and listen to the conversations around you” Doing just that, tears started to form in his eyes. Little kids talking about how they wanted to become detectives like him and people talk about how much they respect him for what he does. In his metaphorical heart, it felt like a little flame had been lit. it wasn't big but it wasn't exactly small either. “I don't understand fully…” he said softly. “I guess you won’t fully right now. Our time is up. It's time for you to go back to the real world for now” Shaken by the sudden cut off he tried to try and talk with Mia more but it fell on deaf ears as his surroundings faded out and him drifting to sleep again.
As he started to wake back up he was greeted by the same white walls, the beeping of the machines, and the smell. Clair de Lune seemed to be playing a bit faster. Not much faster than last time but just a bit. He had a visitor. It was Player. They chatted with him about miscellaneous things. After a bit, they left him as something had come up. Before they left they had said “I couldn't have done it without you when I first started all those years back. With the Order. Had it not been for you being such a great inspiration and partner, I don't think I would have joined the force in the first place.” Jones felt the little flame in his heart get a bit bigger.
After a few more visits and nurses checking up on him, he started to drift asleep again.
“David? David! Wake up!” a voice called out to him. As he woke up, he was greeted by Nathan. “Huh? Nathan?” A sigh came from them. The location was different from the last time. It was relatively small. Both of them were the only ones present in the room. Small, plain, on the ground cupboards were on one side of the room. On top of those was a microwave and a small radio playing jazz. A yellowish-white fridge that was seemingly in disrepair was in the corner of the room. Opposite of that was a water cooler. It smelled slightly musty because of old water in the cooler. The walls had peeling paint revealing tacky old wallpaper. They were in one of the old break rooms. Nathan was the first one to speak about the situation. “David, I know you have heard this a lot as late and it's likely as dull as a frosting knife but please don't give up.You have no idea how many people you have impacted on the force as their friend” Jones sat there in silence. He didn't think he had any friends at that moment within the force. At least not outside of Player. “I can tell you're struggling to think of examples of what I mean by that. You are one of the primary reasons Cathy and Alex even got together. I don't think you fully realize it but if it had not been for you, I don't even think the two would have even gotten to know each other. Had you not pushed Alex to dance with Cathy, her grandfather’s death would have surely been more painful for her” David nervously laughed at the mention of Cathy’s grandfather, the old chief of police. A death that he could have possibly stopped. “I’m surprised she even talked to me after that… I’m surprised anyone on the force that I could consider a friend talks to me. I’m a bit of a jackass to most of the people there” Jones muttered to himself.
Nathan chuckled at that “You are but you are our jackass.” Jones looked at Nathan in confusion. They sat there for a solid minute or so. During that, the song that played in the background started to stick out more. It was sad. Reminded him of the times he had with what he thought were his friends. Just thinking about it made him sadly chuckle. One person came to mind in this discussion about friends. Eduardo Rameriz. The one person he poked the most fun at while on the force. It was an odd surprise that he came back to Grimsbourogh after being in Pacific Bay. “Thinking about Eduardo huh? I can tell by the look on your face. He still considers you a friend you know despite what you did.” “I highly doubt it…” “You may doubt it but its the truth.”
Jones sat there and thought for a few moments about what he had done for his friends. In doing that, the little flame got bigger again. It went from a small plume that you would see on a match to what you would see from a lighter. Nathan smiled recognizing that something within Jones had clicked. The scenery had started to fade away. “I hope I don’t have to see you anytime soon old friend. If I do though, ill welcome you with open arms” Nathan hugged Jones as he started to wake up in the real world once more.
Waking up in the hospital this time, Clair de Lune had started to pick up not just in speed again but in a general mood. It still looked and smelled like the same old hospital but something had changed with him. Was he feeling hope again? He couldn't tell but maybe just maybe something was left for him. It was still shrouded with doubts and fear for the future but it was still a small glimmer. Player was there once again in his room along with his coworkers checking up on him if he was still hanging on. He heard about possible letters being found that were written by his late girlfriend. His heart fluttered at the rumor. They all gave him words of comfort. Unlike in the beginning, he actually listened and it warmed him up just a bit more. After a bit more he started to fall asleep again.
“DETECTIVE DAVID JEREMIAH JONES WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!?” A familiar voice jolted Jones awake. The voice was old but it was one that he hadn't heard in five years. “Chief King?!?” The old chief stared at the detective with a stern look. Jones looked around. He was in the Chief’s office. Listening to the song in the background, he recognized it as Homage. The Chief sighed “You still have so much potential. I hate seeing you here having decided that you would rather die than live on.” he sadly chuckled. Jones sat there his head hung low disappointed in himself. “I hate that you tried to go the same path that I did after it seemed like everything that you thought you had was lost to an outside force. You still have so much to do yet you attempted to do a permanent solution to a temporary problem…” Jones sat there with those last few words echoing in his head “A permanent solution to a temporary problem.”
While those words echoed in his mind, a case that he did pop into his head. A case that one of the witnesses he had just realized he was mirroring. A lost love and the victim resorting to suicide to try and solve it. He was dazed out thinking about it. He had saved that girl's life yet here he was, in the exact situation that she was in. He sadly chuckled wondering how his past self would react. Chief King’s voice snapped him back into reality “You have done so much for the city and for the ones close to you. Without you and many others, the order would still be active.” He locked eyes with Jones. “I do not want to ever see you again in this space. Not until it is truly your time. Promise me that David Jones” Jones sat there for a moment. “ I promise” Chief King sighed in relief. Before the scene completely faded they shook each other's hands. “See you on the other side sir” “In due time David Jones. In due time”
Having woken up again in the hospital Player and Amir sat in there with him. Amir explained that he had made the necessary antidote to help keep him alive before he started to have those bouts of coming in and out of consciousness. Player handed him something. They were letters. Letters from her. He read them. As he did, the same song that had been playing this entire time he had stayed here, changed in tone. “My darling David! You've stood by me through everything that's happened, which has meant the world to me. I don't know what the future holds for me, whether I'll ever get better and go back to my old life. But my only hope is that you, David, remember all the happy days we had, before all of this happened.” His voice while reading it cracked into a sob. He thanked Player for saving him and hugged them tightly. Amir said that he should soon be able to leave the hospital. Jones nodded and after they left he fell asleep again.
“David sweetie, I'm here~” a sweet yet gentle voice woke Jones up. As he opened his eyes, in front of him stood Zoe Kasuma, his late girlfriend. She looked just as beautiful as the day they met. A familiar song played in the background. It was a song that they danced to at one of the police balls, Honeybee was the name of the song. They didnt seem to be really anywhere.  Zoe held his face “please dont blame my death on yourself. I know you feel bad about not being to protect me but it could be helped.” he nodded. “O-ok” They looked at each other. After a few moments, Jones offered his hand to Zoe. “One last dance my Honeybee?” Zoe with tears in her eyes “Of course dear” They danced and sang the lyrics together. Soon as everything started to fade away along with Zoe as the song started to end, they had one last kiss. It felt so warm and soft like a bundle of feathers. Soon after everything faded, Jones cried his absolute heart out, “Goodbye Zoe…”
He woke up from the dream. He read the letter from Zoe again. The fire in his heart turned into a full-fledged wildfire. A nurse came in clearing him to leave. As he got ready to leave in those moments, Clair De Lune was at the end of the song and at its happy ending. He was ready to look at things in a new way and help those in need once more.

I've read through what a few others have said and I hope you dont mind someone else chiming in as well-- It started out as a comment reply on the post but it got too long ;;
Alongside being a retelling, Stampede, or at least S1, is technically a kinda-sorta prequel sort of situation, since the final event of Stampede is something that happens before the main story of '98 and the manga.
The characterisation in Stampede isn't exactly inaccurate to the manga per se, but since it is a retelling that recontextualises and restructures a ton, it's definitely not 1:1. But for that matter the 1998 anime is also not 1:1 with characterisation, and I'd argue that it's just a bit farther off due to some of the comedy choices that were made, which were rather OOC in comparison to the manga, and also because of some of the plot changes due to the manga not being finished, as you previously mentioned.
Many of the more serious themes present in the manga also come through much stronger in Stampede, so far, than in 1998 despite the greater deviance from the manga's plot right off the bat. But I would say the first part of the manga is a lot easier to read through if you've watched 1998 first, since beat-for-beat, there's generally more similarities between the two, which makes sparsing out what's happening less of a task. The manga's pacing however, imo, is actually more similar to Stampede's (fast, a lot happening) ironically. 1998 has a lot of filler very early on which makes it the odd one out in terms of pacing.
The manga is definitely darker than the 1998 anime, and Stampede seems to, so far at least, not be shying away from those darker elements. While there is some of the same fun in the first portion of the manga as in 1998, the latter portion is very much a seinen, and Nightow takes full advantage of the ability to explore more mature themes that being under this demographic label offers.
Also, as a side note, some of the production team for Stampede actually hadn't watched the 1998 anime prior to making Stampede, and had only read the manga, which is part of why there's such a stark tonal difference between the two anime specifically. It's very hard to pit them against each other in any definitive way, so I definitely second that it's worth experiencing each iteration!
YEAH!!! i really appreciate it this!!!! yeah, i know fuck all about what the manga has and doesn't have cause ive been trying to avoid as many spoilers as i can for it so this is really helpful, i didn't know that the characterization is so different within 98 and the manga, that's gonna be fun to explore lol, also that the tone was pretty different! i know trigun is lighter than trigun maximum so im also interested to see how that plays out
and also yes! i do know stampede is a prequel, retelling, sorta thing,, it just rolls over a lot of the character introductions and like, early storybeats within it's prequel to the main storyline while also including flashbacks and shit that happen later in the 98 anime so it's confusing to classify
thanks so much for your input! i really appreciate it cause i have no clue abt this stuff, again, haven't read the manga yet :)

What episodes of snw would you recommend to an old trekkie (into tos and tng)? I’m trying to get my dad into it but he’s kind of doubtful about it being good compared to the old ones
OOOH HI. okay i def get what ur dad means/feels like i was SUPER dubious about snw at first too but i knew i was gonna watch it anyways bc spockiekins<3 i've recently just finished the s1 finale and i can say that out of all the more modern star trek shows (besides picard i haven't watched picard at all), snw is THE one that is most like old trek. it has that perfect blend of hilarity and moral quandary and heartfelt exaltation and horrific consequences. out of the entire season i would say ep 8 and ep 3 or 4 are most tos like! that being said ep 7 is fun because it has a sybok cameo and ep 2 is nice because it not only introduces uhura as a cadet but also sam kirk and you can get a feel for all the newer characters on the enterprise bridge. ep 10/the finale is a rework of the tos ep balance of terror (like an alternate universe thingy) BUT i would not rec watching this unless you've already watched the previous episodes bc of spoilers alsjfokafas um. but ep 8 definitely is probably my favorite episode of the season and i think a good draw point (^:
i would say that if ur dad is worried that it doesnt do proper homage TO tos characters that ethan peck is a WONDERFUL mr spock. i think he plays a younger spock so well in that he is quite...indulgent with his human side and yet you can begin to see just how he grows up and becomes who he is in tos. likewise, i LOVEEE the difference between tos uhura who is very regal and assured versus cadet uhura who doesn't quite know where she belongs, and oh my god. jim kirk. literally snw jim kirk is so. chef's kiss. pike is def fun bc although he appears very much kirkesque at first, it becomes obvious just how he differs from kirk and the subsequent characterization he'll grow into eventually in s2. the new characters are SO much fun though and ive already been talking with my friends over what i think they're doing in the tos timeline alfksdjalskjfasl

Gavin's birthday countdown pt. 9
First things first, I'm terribly sorry but I couldn't find a better way of finding the next moment, so the quality is HORRIBLE!
If you would like to do your ears and eyes a favor, then please click here and listen from 02:00 to 03:00 (insider tip: search for a secluded corner, make yourself comfortable, put on your headphones, and listen to the whole thing 👂🎧)
The last two spots on this highly personal list of mine should come as no surprise to the ones that know me well. There are two things specifically in Gavin's lore which serve as my god, temple and the holy book. I literally live for these! 🙏🏻
It will get slightly hot, before becoming wholesome.
🎐🎐🎐
#2 That gulping moment
Gav babe was raised by a military officer and then enrolled to the academy by the age of 17, went through the Hell mission and has life and death situations on a daily basis. A sharp blade, the greatest commander, the perfect executioner.
Except for when he is with MC. Then his execution systems stop functioning abruptly and he just gets lost. Thankfully he still handles these predicaments pretty well... Mostly, usually... Sometimes 🐶
WHISPERS ASMR is one of the best products Papergames has given us and the whole thing is a delightful masterpiece from start to finish. No words can describe the feelings this piece gives me.
Spoilers start below this line...
Many of you already know the story. Gavin gets injured, keeps MC uninformed, MC finds out about it from Eli and rushes to the hospital in the middle of the night, finds a weak Gavin on his bed bound by IVs and a hilariously hot exchange commences and by the end they don't sleep before their temperature's dropped.
Besides being a great fan of every single moment of this, the following moment is just special, because we can hear Gavin gulping for the first time, poor baby😅
On the previous spots, I touched upon my obsession with an assertive Gavin. What can round this up perfectly is Gavin realizing what he just did and trying to make a run from it because he is clueless about what to do next, or rather, whether he should actually do what he's planning to do next. The dilemma is killing him and here we can finally hear how he struggles to breathe and just gulps as his Adam's apple escalates up and down. Our birdcop is in such a loss here, it's very adorable, very human and so S1 Gavin (*♡ω♡*)
Here, the mischievous Gavin manages to come up with a smart way of getting MC to move closer to him under the sheets, but after seeing that he's actually succeeded and that she joins him in bed, he literally gulps... HARD! He tries to brush it off with a joking remark "Is this the only way for you to be obedient?" but to no avail because also in this moment his medicine kicks in.
Fortunately, the well trained cool, calm and collected Gavin regroups his wildy scattered thoughts and hormones all over his hypothalamus and gives us the most pleasurable 9 minutes after this.
The full credit goes to Zhang Jie for his excellent performance. He transmits Gavin's dilemma and despair perfectly by solely using his voice. Needless to say the final deep sigh by the end says it all. We are really lucky to have him. Who knows, maybe the new VA pulls this off masterfully. One can only dream amirite?
Oh how I miss these well written, well voiced pieces...

Pls give us the AtLA rant, I have a mighty need!
askjskjsdkjdskj i copy and pasted my rant from last night bc imo the raw energy of “i am genuinely shocked and angry (in a good way)” is something i cannot recreate right now
so here is the rant i went on in my groupchat + the secret side conversation i had in DMs bc, in my 3 person gc, 2 of us are watching it for the first time and i already knew some stuff going in so i didn’t want to spoil
it’s all under the cut bc it’s long as fuck (like almost 2k words if not more)
but basically i go into my own type of avatar-state while talking abt zuko!!!!
(I HAVEN’T STARTED BOOK 3 YET, PLEASE NO SPOILERS)
groupchat:
but i just finished book 2 and it took a completely different turn from what i thought it was going to like i am actually in shock and have officially reached my point of "zuko what the actual fuck" because the choice to do good was right there after everything he and iroh went through and after all that he saw and letting aang go multiple times and he was starting to be happy in this new life and saw that he and iroh could be free and he still went back to azula for his pride and honor, turning against aang and katara after he and katara could have finally reached a moment of understanding
but like what the fuck i am more mad at s2 zuko than i was at s1 zuko bc, in season 1, the avatar and his honor was the only thing he thought about, but in s2, he met people who had their lives ruined by the fire nation!! and he worked with them!!!! iroh was showing him what it was like to live completely free, doing what he wants!!!! and he was starting to understand!!!!! but im so pissed and so fucking shocked bc, this entire fucking time, i was like "oh yeah the end of s2 is going to be when zuko joins, right? bc i mean book 3 is fire, so zuko has to teach him fire bending" but no, he willingly chose to keep pursuing the avatar after fucking everything he has seen, after knowing how people were affected by the fire nation, after everything iroh did for him
and he knows what he did!! he knows!!!!! he told azula that he betrayed iroh!!!!!!! he fucking knows
when iroh showed up to fight both him and azula, i was fucking losing it bc iroh's love has been so unconditional for zuko, he supported zuko through everything and even helped him try to capture the avatar at times, but that was the final straw
zuko willingly walked into world domination. he doesn't even fucking trust azula! he never has! but she brought up his pride and honor, and she's powerful as all hell, and he sided with her! after everything!
i really thought he was learning that his quest for the avatar was fruitless! it's not going to bring him happiness! his life in the fire nation will never return to normal
aang has saved his life so many god damn times, him and katara were reaching a point of understanding! they fucking talked about how the fire nation took both of their mothers
and i'm so floored bc this was all willing
when zuko was exiled, he had no choice! it was either find the avatar or have no home. but he was finding a home! he finally seemed so happy with iroh! it really seemed like iroh's teachings were getting through to him! that he was learning what he really wanted (freedom)! but he still went back to the fire nation except this time he chose to. he looked at the people he was starting to understand, at the man who has been a better father than ozai ever could, and willingly chose to turn away for the sake of pillaging and conquering and "honor" in a family that doesn't care about him
at first, i was like "this has to be a trick, right? he's fighting them now so that he can backstab azula later, right?"
but when katara said to him "i thought you changed!" and he said "i have" i was fucking besides myself
im so angry but im also fucking exhilirated bc this i did not expect
i would've put so much money on there being a meaningful moment of zuko stepping up alongside aang
like, i was so sure this would happen
i was convinced
but holy shit
and fucking!!! zuko knows what iroh went through at ba sing se with the loss of his son (and probably the realization that what the fire nation was doing was fucked up) and zuko still turned against iroh
after everything iroh did for him! iroh was the only person who stood by zuko's side during everything. he pleaded zuko's case over and over, he seeked out the gaang bc he needed their help and he was so sure that zuko would make the right decision!!! he saw zuko let the avatar go before, but when zuko was faced w/ azula's assistance and the avatar right there, he just went back to his old ways except worse bc this is willing
and like
am i discounting the manipulations of azula and ozai? no!!!
that definitely had a hand in it, bc azula has been dangling honor and ozai's love in front of zuko the entire time
but i really thought that the end of s2 would be when zuko sees past all of that
except he turned back to the family that doesn't even love him, betraying the only person who truly cared for him and loved him unconditionally and wanted the best for him, and now he has a direct hand in the collapse of ba sing se and world domination
like okay let it be known that this is some of the best writing ive seen and im fucking obsessed and im living for this and it's so fucking good so my anger is fueled by excitement and shock
and also i fucking love negative character development
like. i love zuko. and literally i think that's part of this too bc i was so sure that he was going to make the right decision
and instead i had to face the dawning realization that he wasn't
and now he and azula are teaming up to end the earth kingdom
like i thought i knew where this was gonna go and now i'm genuinely lost (in a good way)
and like i haven't even touched upon aang's chakra being locked bc he went back to katara
(also don't even get me started on the painful irony of iroh telling aang that sometimes it's better to choose love and friendship over power)
(like really don't get me started because i'm about to combust)
after everything iroh did for zuko!!!
after the gaang has saved his life!!!!!!!
and the best thing is, it was shocking but still not out of character
that's the beautiful thing
this was always an option for zuko
it's the point of the crossroads!!! you can go either way!!!!!!!
i just thought he was gonna go...................... the other way
and like literally the fact that he sided with azula after obviously not liking her basically his entire life (or at least his adolescence) is so fucking telling for how he made this decision bc. unless there's some behind the scenes stuff, he saw the avatar and his pride and his honor so clearly, and he saw how powerful azula was becoming, and decided that he would still take it even in the face of azula's manipulations and violence
if that makes sense
if you can't tell, i'm kinda reeling right now
like, apparently zuko wants his honor/power so badly that he'll side with azula!!!
after they spent an entire season fighting her
but also....... azula finally gave him that option of working together. before, it was always azula vs. zuko
now, though, azula was offering a world dominating olive branch
so now like im thinking....... what if that happened earlier? would zuko always have turned? or is it just because everything he ever wanted was so close to him?
and it's wonderful bc it's still so in-character. like, even siding with azula, it's not bc he suddenly cares for his sister or whatever, but it's because he chose honor/pride/the fire nation over freedom/giving up what he always wanted. i don't think he was choosing azula, he was choosing his pre-written destiny over making his own
god is any of this making sense i am literally so fucking shocked
i literally need like 3 episodes solely on iroh at this point bc you know what probably fucking sucks??? losing his first son to the war in ba sing se, and then losing his nephew (who he saw as another son) to starting war in ba sing se
like? that has to feel like a fucking slap in the face ten times over
especially bc iroh left the fire nation with zuko (and probably for zuko), most likely giving up his full title there
and like? the fighting sequences are so cool but it was so fucking heartbreaking to hear iroh tell aang "you go on ahead! i will hold off both of them!" because like. iroh can't wait any longer! he thinks (and knows) that zuko is making the wrong choice, but he can't wait any longer! he can't stand by while zuko dominates an entire city and say "oh, he's really complicated, he's going through something"! because zuko did go through it and he came out of it and he still made that choice! iroh probably feels like all his patience, all his efforts, all his teachings and love, went to fucking waste! because it didn't get him anywhere!
like, iroh probably still loves zuko but he probably feels so fucking betrayed and hurt and disappointed because, after seeing zuko let the avatar go before and seeming so happy, he probably thought that zuko was changing for the better! and now, he has to fight his niece AND his nephew! this no longer is zuko insulting some other general or his crew that iroh can fix by explaining what happened w/ ozai and how zuko is very conflicted! this is a situation that zuko willingly walked in, even after hearing and knowing all of iroh's teachings!
anyways! poetic cinema
like also pls dont think im ignoring everything else in the episode, like aang's chakra being locked was fucking wild and that entire episode was so good, with the fight sequences and everything abt azula, and toph’s metal bending, just forgive me bc im a little uhhhhh distracted by a twist that i genuinely did not expect
i feel bad for how focused i am right now on zuko but also how can i not be bc that feels so connected to literally everything else
also tho on a brighter note, true serotonin was when appa finally returned :')
it's so wonderful that appa broke out by himself. he did it all on his own! no one else was there. at all :)
(im kidding that was actually a very important moment in zuko's character)
(or at least i thought it was going to be)
(well actually it still is, but it's come to the question of "you can always say what you're going to do in a situation, but what happens when you're actually faced with it?”)
DMs:
i know that zuko gets redeemed, right? like i know, in the end, they will all team up
but the fact that it didn't happen now
holy shit
like.......... a whiiiiiiile ago on tumblr, i saw a post that was like "zuko has a great redemption but he needed to work for it bc he did awful things" and like? tbh yeah i got that s1 zuko was the antag and he did shitty things but like...................... this feels so much more poignant
like zuko literally has a direct hand now in the collapse of the earth kingdom
literally not to be dramatic but this is like. taz-reveal levels of shocked right now.
i thought i knew the zuko arc
bc i know he gets redeemed!!
so, after watching this season, i was thinking "oh okay it's gonna be this season! makes sense!"
but.... deep down
deep down..............
a part of me was kinda like "so is season 1 zuko....... it? is that the end of his antagonisms? is season 2 meant to be his redemption? i dig it, but i thought it would be more...................... dramatic"
well!
got what i wished for!
and i am in the best kinds of hell
like i almost feel bad bc so much other stuff happened in the finale (like, for example, aang's chakra being locked, which i screamed at, it was so good) but like. i genuinely did not expect this.
like. holy fuck.
like, now i really understand why people say that zuko needed to really work for his redemption bc he and azula are tag teaming the end of the earth kingdom

How to get your nice camera set up as a high-quality webcam
Everyone needs a webcam these days, whether for business meetings or the distant socializing accomplished via video calling — but if you’re like most, you’re using the built-in camera on your laptop or some piece of junk from years ago. But if you happen to have a nice big-brand camera, it’s easy to set it up as a standalone webcam and produce imagery that will be the envy your friends and colleagues.
Our guide to setting up a professional-looking home webcam solution with lighting, audio, and all the other fixins is here, but unless you’re using a capture card (that’s a whole other how-to) getting your DSLR or mirrorless camera hooked up to your computer isn’t as simple as it ought to be.
How to create the best at-home videoconferencing setup, for every budget
Surprisingly, you can’t just take a camera released in the last couple years and plug it into your computer and expect it to work. So far only Canon, Fujifilm, and Panasonic provide free webcam functionality to at least one desktop OS. For Nikon, Sony and Olympus, you may have to pay or put up with a watermark.
Here are the easiest ways to put each brand of camera to work. (Spoiler warning: For Macs, it’s mostly Cascable. I’ll mention that a few more times because people are probably just scrolling past this to their brand.)
Canon: EOS Webcam Utility
Canon released this software just a couple weeks ago and it’s still in beta, so there may be a few hiccups — but it supports both Windows and Apple machines and a good variety of camera bodies. There’s even some extra documentation and tutorials for the app at its microsite.
Compatibility is pretty good, working with any of their camera bodies from the last 3-4 years: the Rebel T6-T7i, T100, SL2, SL3, 5D Mk IV, 5DS, 5DS R, 6D Mk II, 7D Mk II, 77D, 80D, 90D, 1D X Mark II and Mark III, M6 Mk II, M50, M200, R, RP, PowerShot G5X Mk II, G7X Mk III, and SX70 HS. Download the software here.
If you’re having trouble, check out the third party apps listed for other brands below and see if you have more luck.
Fujifilm: X Webcam
Fujifilm’s solution is easy, but a bit limited. The popular X100 series is not supported, and Macs are left out in the cold as well. But if you have one of the company’s more recent interchangeable-lens bodies and a Windows 10 machine, you’re golden. Just install and plug in your camera with a normal USB cable.
Compatibility includes the X-T2, X-T3, X-T4, X-Pro2, X-Pro3, X-H1, GFX100, GFX 50R, and GFX 50S. Get that medium format setup going right and your eyes will be in focus but not your ears. Download the software here.
This guy really did Mac users a favor.
For Macs, Cascable is a useful bit of Mac software that acts as a bridge to your camera for a variety of purposes, and the author just added webcam capability. It has wide compatibility for both wired and wireless connections, and provides broader functionality than Fuji’s own software, but it isn’t free. But the current $30 price is probably less than you’d pay if you opted for a nice webcam instead.
If you’re confident fiddling around in command lines, this tutorial tells you how to get a Fuji camera working on Macs with a bit of fiddling around and some other third party software.
Panasonic: Lumix Tether
That’s it. That’s the image they provided.
Panasonic just made the webcam-capable version of their Lumix Tether Windows app available, and you can tell from the paucity of the documentation that it’s a pretty barebones solution. The price is right, though. It works with the GH5, G9, GH5S, S1, S1R, and S1H. The company also posted a helpful start-to-finish tutorial on how to get going with streaming software like OBS here:
youtube
Cascable works well with a variety of Panasonic cameras, far more than the official app, even some superzooms that could be really fun to play with in this context.
Sony
There’s no official software to turn your Sony cameras into webcams, so we have to jump straight into third party options. Unfortunately it appears that there is no software available for Windows that lets you use your Alpha as a webcam — you’ll need a capture card to do it.
Cascable on Mac is again your best bet there, with support reaching back several generations to cameras like the NEX series and RX100 III. Ecamm Live also has limited Sony compatibility, but only supports the latest bodies. It’s $12 per month, but there’s a free trial if you want to give it a go first.
Olympus
It’s the same story for Olympus on Windows. You’re out of luck for now without a capture card.
On Mac, Cascable has wired support for many more Oly bodies, including Stylus cameras and the retro-style PEN F, which will probably resent being used for such a modern purpose. Ecamm Live has compatibility with the latest bodies — the E-M1 II, III, and X, and the E-M5 original and Mk II. No go on the PEN series, unfortunately.
Nikon
Surprisingly, while Nikon recently put up a rather helpful page on streaming using its cameras, it doesn’t produce any of the software itself, referring the reader to a variety of third-party programs.
As before, Cascable seems like the easiest way to get your Nikon working with a Mac, and SparkoCam is a frequent recommendation for Windows.
Warnings to the webcam-curious
These methods may be easy, but they’re not completely without issues.
One potential problem is heat. These cameras were designed primarily for capturing stills and short video clips. Running full time for extended periods can result in the camera getting too hot to function and shutting down. A camera shouldn’t damage itself seriously, but it’s something to be aware of. The best way to avoid this is using a dummy battery with a power adapter — these are pretty easy to find, and will mitigate overheating.
Audio also may not be as nice as the image. For people doing serious video work, an external mic is almost always used, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t do the same. Considering a solid mic can be had for under $50 and should provide a substantial upgrade to your device’s built-in one, there’s no reason not to take the plunge.
You may also want to check a few forums for the best settings to use for the camera, from making sure it doesn’t turn off after a few minutes to exposure choices. For instance, since you’re not doing stills, you don’t need to worry about sharpness, so you can shoot wide open. But then you’ll need to make sure autofocus is working quickly and accurately, or you’ll end up lost in the bokeh. Check around, try a few different setups, and go with what works best in your situation.
And when you’re ready to take the next step, consult our more thorough guide to setting the scene.

Year End Anime Roundup
Hello all.  this is a list of every anime I watched this year.
A Channel 6 - Meh. Aho Girl 7 - stupid funny Akiba’s Strip 7 - this series was more fun than it had any right to be.  I thoroughly enjoyed it. Alice to Zouroku 8 - I really enjoyed some parts of this but i have a personal weakness for series about adults raising children. Another 7 - Wasn’t bad but didn’t really resonate with me that much. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu S1 9 - thoroughly enjoyed this. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu S2 7 - ending was kinda meh Bakemono no Ko 8 - I really enjoyed this movie.  I had seen it at walmart for ages.  glad i picked it up. Blend S 9 - Ah yes the workplace Rom-Com.  Always a favorite of mine. Boku no Hero Academia S2 10 - don’t look at me like you didn’t know this was gonna have a 10. Carnival Phantasm 8 - had a lot of fun with this. Castlevania 8 - Hoping for more of this Centaur no Nayami 7 - I love monster girls so this was a no brainer. Danmachi Gaiden Sword Oratoria 7 - alright as a companion to danmachi.  can’t really stand on its own merits. Demi-chan wa Katartai* 10 - this was a series I looked forward to each week.  I wish i could say more great things about this but if you’re a fan of SoL, you really can’t do much better than this Durarara (all of it) 8 - I really enjoyed the beginning to this.  i feel like the last season or two could’ve been skipped if the friends even spoke just a little. Eromanga Sensei 10 - masterpiece. Evangelion 1.0 9 - waiting for 4.0 Evangelion 2.0 9 - ^ Evangelion 3.0 9 - ^ Fate/Apocrypha 8 - it’s a goddamn mess but i love it. Fuuka (updated and now finished) 6 - started out cool but got boring about midway Gabriel DropOut 8 - CGDCT cute girls subverting religious stereotypes.  you have a Fail-len angel addicted to gaming, a sadistic angel, a mostly harmless prankster demon and a demon who is easily the most pleasant person in the show.  would watch again Gurren Lagann 8 - don’t even know what was even happening at the end but it was cool. Hajimete no Gal 7 - it’s alright. Himouto s2 9 - i thought it fixed a lot of the problems season 1 had and it actually made umaru a tolerable character.  Also bonus points for more cgdct. Hinako Note 7 - eh it was cool.  Kuu-chan was bae. Howl’s Moving Castle 9 - Watched this while cooking Easter dinner. Imouto sae Ireba Il. 8 - Solid show with some of the most ridiculous parody comedy i’ve seen. Inuyashiki 8 - Super robot attack grandpa was pretty cool. Isekai shokudou 8 - I enjoyed it. Isekai wa smartphone to Tomo ni. 7 - vanilla as fuck op character in a harem.  still moderately enjoyable.  I like how they approached the harem scenes. Juuni Taisen 8 - fate meets the chinese zodiac.  it was alright. Kakegurui 8 - i still don’t know how to categorize this. Kancolle Movie 9 - I finally got to meet all the charactersfrom the games that the weebs i follow love so much. Katanagatari 9 - so glad i finally gave this a shot.  it was worth it. Kemono Friends 10 - wholesome. Kimi no Na wa. 8 - it was just alright for me. Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu 8 - that was pretty good. Kizumonogatari 3 10 - it was amazing.  i got to see my favorite series on a movies budget. Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon* 10 - seeing Ms. Kobayashi’s daily life was a treat and I loved seeing how her life changed as other characters were introduced into it.  Going into this show i thought it was gonna be a silly thing but it was much more serious than i anticipated.  Kanna was best loli for the season and it wasn’t even close *megumin always gets honorable mentions* aoty candidate Koe no Katachi 10 - best non monogatari movie of 2017 Koi to Uso 7 - meh Konosuba2* 10 - i love it when s2 live up to a great s1.  they fixed a lot of the problems with s1 but didn’t compromise what made this show magical.  darkness really climbed the best girl chart this season thanks to plenty of storylines.  could always use more megumin.  Aoty candidate Kuzu no Honkai* 9 - wow way to make me feel emotions.  i was initially turned off by all the hype i saw.  im glad i gave it a try. Love Live S1-S2 8 - i really enjoyed this. Made in Abyss 10 - it was pretty.  it had chibi characters.  it was dark it was an anime of the year candidate. Mahouka koukou no rettousei 8 - Magic High was cool if a bit pretentious. Mahoutsukai no Yome 10 - im always a sucker for a fantasy world that didn’t feel cookie-cutter.  Anime of the year candidate. Masamune-kun no Revenge 6 - protag-kun confirmed for shit taste.  main girls best friend was way better and she wasnt even a route.  ending was weak. will probably still get s2. Megane na Kanojo 5 - meh 4 shorts about glasses girls. Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku 8 - Lucky star spinoff that gave me lucky star vibes. Momokuri 7 - an okay rom comedy. Naruto Shippuuden 7 - wow what a trip.  there was only like 70 eps of filler in the last 100 episodes. Nekopara 9 - true to the game and compelling enough to stand on its own.  will probably watch again. Net-juu no Susume 9 - I really enjoyed this series.  MoriMori-chan is a waifu of the year candidate New Game 2 7 - wasn’t as good as the original but it was alright. would watch a s3. NonNon Biyori 9 - enjoyed it.  should start s2 at some point. Noragami s1-s2 8 - didn’t think i would like this as much as i did. Nyanko Days 6 - can’t remember shit about this One Room 7 - alright.  its short episodes so it could knocked out in 40 mins. Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki 9 - really enjoyed wolf children.  watched for mothers day to appreciate my own mother. OwariMonogatari s2 9 - really enjoyed this conclusion to my favorite anime. Renai Boukun 7 - meh it was entertaining for a while. Saekano s2 9 - I was gutted emotionally during the first half of the series.  I still enjoy it though.   Seiren 6 - i’d give arc 1 a 9, and everything else was blah.  i dont even remember arc 3. Shingeki no Kyojin 2 9 - I enjoyed it.  most people said there was too much flashback but i didn’t have a problem with that. Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou 8 - cool ambient cute girls.   Spice and Wolf S1-S2 9 - I didn’t know i was gonna get economics lessons from an anime this year.  enjoyed it. Star Fox Zero 6 - nothing important. Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale 8 - enjoyed seeing this in theaters. One Year.... One year ago this month, I was introduced to these AMAZING gentlemen, and life has never been the same! I don’t recall the exact day it happened, but I do know it was March, 2016,
This is how it started... It was a very cold, snowy winter here in NJ last year, so my life long friend Dawn, my daughter Sarah, and I started binge watching different series on Netflix. Dawn first suggested this show Supernatural, which I had only heard of in passing a few times over the years, but she had watched since the beginning. She said I would love it, the brothers  are hot, they hunt monsters and demons, delve a lot into Religion, which is a big interest of mine, I even have a degree in Theology, and am legally ordained. I checked the title on Netflix and saw it had 10 seasons available, and I said  “Nah, that’s a pretty big commitment, I dont think I could stay interested in a show that long” then Dawn informed me, that it was still on the air and in season 11. Not my cup of tea, so I declined. She next suggested Nurse Jackie, which was really good, but so easy to burn through. I got the next pick and picked House MD which had been mine, and my daughter Sarah’s favorite series to date.  This was a longer series than Nurse Jackie, 8 seasons instead of 7, and hour long episodes, as opposed to half hour. This took almost 2 months to get through. While watching this series again, I would keep commenting how much I loved the bromance between House and Wilson, to wish Dawn would always reply “The you will LOVE Sam and Dean!!” So since she had next pick, I agreed to give Supernatural a try.  And this is what happened... *CRASH BOOM BANG  <heavy flop>* “Wooooaaah easy tiger” “Dean?” Yeah, these boys are freakin adorable, and Im gonna love this bromance. I thought Dean was hot, and Sam was cute. Too young for me to think he was hot (me being 49 at the time) but I felt like the monsters and a lot of the horror was pretty lame, and sometimes even cheesy, though I did enjoy the chemistry the boys had with each other, and found Sam’s psychic visions to be an interesting element, I didn’t think I would stay interested for very long.  For a while, we were only watching 2-3 episodes at a time, a couple times a week when Dawn would come over. Near the end of S1 I told her I didn’t think I wanted to continue. She asked me to PLEASE give it to the end of season 2 and if I still didnt like it, we could find something else. As promised, I did become more interested in S2. The humor was funnier, the acting got better, and the bromance was hotter, and the emotional moments were even more heart breaking. The first episode that left a really big impression on me was Born Under a Bad Sign. Until then, I knew Sam had psychic powers, and his father was worried he would turn dark, and left it on Dean’s shoulders to save him or kill him (good idea John, what the hell) and this episode was probably showing Sam go bad. I didnt want that, I liked the boys and I wanted to like both of them and not have to start thinking of Sam as evil, but he was soooooo creepy in that episode! I was so afraid he was going to rape Jo, fortunately he didn’t, but that “My daddy shot your daddy in the heeeaad” thing gave me the willies! I was so uncomfortable with this “Dark Sam” I thought maybe I couldnt continue. Dawn didnt want me to stop just yet, but didnt want to give me spoilers, she told me “Don’t worry, Sam and Dean are the GOOD guys and Sam is a REALLY good guy” so I continued. When it was discovered that Sam was possessed, I found that very interesting, I didn’t think the boys would ever succumb to the evil things, just kick their asses all the time, though I assumed theyd have their own asses kicked sometimes, I never thought the show would allow the heroes to really suffer.... boy was I wrong huh??  I recall my first noticing that Sam was hot and built like a truck, in Heart, and it was also the first time I really cried. I remember telling Dawn, I will watch it when she comes over but Im watching it on my own too, because now Im much more interested, but I also said “it’s kind of a bummer knowing the boys wont die, that will take away from the suspense and emotional moments when it’s feared they might die, and I remember her giving me this look... she said “trust me, you know nothing”. She was right ... All Hell Breaks Loose 1 & 2 had me sobbing! When Sam dies in Dean’s arms and Dean sobs into his neck, I dont think Ive ever seen such intense, realistic  grief on a TV show. And then Dean goes and sells his soul for Sam!! This turned what I thought was a “My brother is my best friend” love into a “Id willingly spend eternity in fire and torment, to have one more year with my brother” love. That was a big turning point for me. I new Id watch it till the end and couldnt wait for those long days off when I could just binge all day long.  Then Season 4 happened... I dont know when exactly it happened, or which episode it was, but somewhere early in S4, I discovered the most amazing thing. I woke up one day and realized I am madly in love with Sam Winchester! And to top it off, I was hopelessly addicted and obsessed with SPN! I wont give a rundown of how each season hit me, but its been a crazy, emotional, tragically painful, beautful roller coaster that I have no intentions to ever get off of. By the time I got to S9 and started seeing the episodes dwindle away, I didnt want to finish too fast, yet I wanted to keep binging, so thats when I decided to start rewatching. ration out the newer episodes so I dont finish too fast, and binge the ones Ive already seen, and Ive done that continiously since then, and that was in May. By the end of June, I had watched everything on Netflix and purchased all of S11 On Demand and just kept finishing and starting over, rinse, repeat.  What I have learned... I mean no disrespect to Dean, I love him... but, if he ever says “As long as Im around, nothing bad is ever gonna happen to you” ... just RUN!! He said this to Sam in S1 and things just unraveled fast for poor Sam. I dont think there are many bad things LEFT that haven't happened to Sam, and we still have at least 2 more seasons to go!!!  To me, Sam is the most beautiful, kind, selfless, brave character ever. Yet, he can be a little selfish on occasion, but if you needed any of the duct tape and safety pins that hold him together, he wouldnt think twice about giivng them to you. He is scared fairly often, but it’s never stopped him from facing any big bad monster life could hand him.Season 10 was definitely not his most attractive season (that hair?? WHAT??) and if you piss him off, he can viciously sting with his words at the very least, or be brutally lethal with his hands when need be. He is a full on nerd, but not the least bit pretentious about it. He doesnt think he is better than anyone, and maybe even not as good as most. He is brilliant, but wont ever make you feel stupid. He is the sweetest, kindest gentleman you’ll ever meet, but 100% badass as well. But most of all. he loves Dean with everything in his life. He will never leave him (again) for anyone. If he ever finds a significant other, they will have to accept him and Dean as One person. Package deal and thats it.  To me, Dean is a rock. He rarely ever changes, This isn’t a bad thing. This compliments Sam, who is ever changing. Dean doesn’t live inside his head. He expresses his feelings more physically than with words, though he isnt one to mince words if you need to hear it. He’s emotional, not afraid to cry, but maybe afraid of who he allows to see it. He’s not perfect, he has made a lot of poor choices for himself and for Sam as well, but never with any ill intent (other than when influenced by a Supernatural force) He is a sweetheart, who unfortunately carries too much baggage. In Regarding Dean I feel like I met the REAL Dean that is lost under decades of pain, lossm and never ending violence. He can piss me off big time, but I forgive him because Sam does, and the most important thing in his world is Sam. There is nothing he wouldnt do, nor lines he wouldnt cross for Sam, and I believe he would give Sam anything in his power if Sam would simply ask.  What I think of the side characters  Cas, Crowley, Rowena, Bobby, etc.. all good characters who bring a lot of interest to the show, but none are strong enough characters to have their own storylines apart from Sam and Dean. Their side stories arent very interesting. I would watch a show that was only Sam and Dean (which is what I prefer) but I wouldnt watch a show that was only Cas or Crowley or whomever. They should support Sam and Dean and thats it, in my opinion.
What I have learned about the Fandom... Supernatural is the Holy Reaches of Heaven to them and they are Religions. Separate groups of individuals, expressing their love for the show and the characters in different ways. Some SPN religions are open and accepting, and some are vicious and hateful. Everyone gets different things from different parts of the series, but some of these religions, think their thoughts are the best and only True Canon even when sometimes, their thoughts are not canon at all. There are some fun, silly, kind loving fans in the SPN Family, and I have met a few, but Ive also seen some unnecessarily hatefull, mean spirited individuals who I cant consider family. SPN belongs to me, and it belongs to you. Take from it what you take from it... blog your blogs, go meta crazy, ship your ships, and write the shit out of fan fic... but please dont belittle and berate those who think differently. It is a ficitonal show, no one is going to go to Hell or be arrested for their views on it. If you don’t like it, dont watch it, but let those who do still love it, like myself, enjoy it while they can. Don’t go trying to hurt our feelings with “It should end!!” because someday it will, we know this, but we want it to live on for as long as J2 are happy to do it, and even then, it’s gonna hurt like the death of a loved one to see it go, so try to be more considerate okay? If you stayed to read ALL of this, You are precious to me :) and thank you!
