It would be difficult to be the founder of a nonprofit called ‘Divabetic’ and not love DIVAS!
Thankfully, I do! So many iconic female vocalists have inspired, comforted, and thrilled me throughout my lifetime. They are the soundtrack of my life which is why the lyrics to the new holiday song, "Pink Champagne,” by Ivan Hampden Jr. and Paulette McWilliams, is a tribute to many of my idols, including Ella, Carmen, Eartha, Betty, and Marlena.
For some of you, Marlena Shaw’s name might not be as well-known as the others, but her classic rendition of “Go Away Little Boy” is my all-time favorite. It’s a magical performance because her brilliant storytelling makes you want to see her perform it live again and again.
Last November, I set out to write a signature song like that for the holidays. Fortunately, my friend Paulette McWilliams, a highly respected vocalist who performs for audiences worldwide, crafted a beautiful melody for Ivan Hampden Jr. to create and produce a lush, beautiful orchestration.
I wanted to write a song to make fans yearn to see Paulette perform live and in person. I imagined her on stage, dressed in a baby blue satin Balenciaga gown, in a crowded smoke-filled jazz club with people dripping in diamonds and furs sitting in plush velvet booths sipping cocktails. In the middle of “Pink Champagne”, she signals to her music director; I imagine that person is Nat Adderley Jr., who slows down the tempo. Paulette sashays over to a small table on stage and lifts a crystal flute of pink champagne. She takes a sip before sharing a touching but funny true story of experiencing heartache during the holidays. When she finishes, she lifts her glass, toasts the audience, and resumes the song's end.
Of course, I’m there too, sitting at the bar, doing my best Daniel Craig impersonation, dressed in a Tom Ford tuxedo sipping something cool and sophisticated. Actually, if this is truly a fantasy, then Daniel Craig is sitting next to me. LOL :)
Okay, now enjoy the song  “Pink Champagne” by Ivan Hampden Jr. and Paulette McWilliams, and then let me know what you think. Cheers!

Revisiting 'Twelve More Days' : How Empty Bottles Spun Their Signature Sound on its Head on Tour April 12, 2024 · Written by Catherine Moore
Almost halfway through the Asian leg of their world tour, it's finally time to talk about what the pandemic-era rock band Empty Bottles has been up to. For greener artists, it's the cookie-cutter way to stick to a genre that has previously worked and give the masses what they want but instead, Empty Bottles have taken their 2022 sophomore sensation 'Twelve More Days' and tweaked the songs for their world tour.
Long-time fans of the Sydney-born band are familiar with the classic rock elements that brought Empty Bottles into the spotlight; claiming influence from fellow Sydneysiders 5 Seconds of Summer, Arctic Monkeys and other croony rock artists, so it was a rather big surprise for critics and fans alike when the album opened with a much softer, hypnotising approach.
The even bigger surprise was the creative and musical approach they took with their tour. As noted by various critics back during the album release, 'Twelve More Days' had a not-so-subtle jazz flavour to their sound, and the band seems to have embraced the jazz-rock sound by opening their tour with a speakeasy-style set, complete with the band decked out in snazzy 1930s reminiscent suits and frontwoman Selina Bui in glittery minidresses, opera gloves and a thematic vintage ribbon microphone.
Despite close to three years since she last performed in front of a live audience, Bui took to the stage like a fish to water, instantly entrancing her audience with her universally acknowledged rich sirenic vocals, drawing in the attention and sending the venue back to a 1930s speakeasy. Strangely, she performs this part of the show without her trusty guitar, leaving the grunt work on the other lead guitarist, talented Lukas Zhang, who delivers without a hiccup with no twin guitar to help cover any mistakes.
Quite a few of the sophomore album's songs are given a jazz-rock twist that nobody could have predicted. Other already jazz-influenced songs - namely deluxe track number 13 'money talks' and track 6 'typo' - have been breathed to life, as well as a couple of songs from the band's debut album 'overtime'.
Empty Bottles then returns after a brief intermission with their award-winning pop-rock sound, spending the rest of the set in much more familiar-looking leather jackets and t-shirts and a guitar returned to Bui's hand. Bui, very well known for having an interesting sense of humour, made the choice of returning to the stage with the fitting song choice of 'do you remember me?'. One thing you have to give the 22-year-old is that she really does know how to pick her moments, and the now-iconic first chords of the cocky, energetic track are enough to send the crowd screaming.
The exploration into the many subgenres of what is considered rock 'n' roll has always been a very fuzzy point of conversation, and it's been an honour seeing Empty Bottles have fun playing jump rope over that line. What makes this tour such a raving success is their perfect balance of experimentation and keeping to what is tried and true for them; the classic, hard-hitting, no-nonsense, inane-lyricism rock coupled magnetically with Bui's captivating execution on stage.
Would you find me at one of their shows again? Absolutely, there was truly nothing more thrilling than the first moments you see Selina Bui walk onto stage with her infamous cheshire cat smile. What did I personally think about the sound change? I was pleasantly surprised at how seamlessly they've adjusted the songs to fit the jazz-rock genre, I also believe that they have found the perfect sound to complement Selina Bui's voice. It's uncanny how it just clicked that she was born to sing the soft, almost lullaby-like, calming songs. If they were to release another album with a similar soft sound, I would happily eat it up.
Empty Bottles wrap up the Asian leg of the tour in Bangkok, Thailand later this month and then shortly begin the European leg in Sofia, Bulgaria.

MILGRAM Best Song Tournament, Round 1, Match 9 CAT vs. THE PURGE MARCH
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda for both options under the cut!
Tumblr media
Propaganda for CAT:
"You like jazz? Jazz is chaos within order. Got to love the whole band. Vibraphone, saxophone, trumpet, flute, piano, guitar, drums, bass… Go, rhythm section, go! The song sounds tender at times and aggressive at others as different instruments pop up at different times. Sometimes they follow Kazui’s voice (“follow the king of the masquerade”). Sometimes they get to be the focus. You have the chill piano one moment and the screaming guitar in the next.
You’ve got a lovely “jingle” (“Lie until it gets better…”) which occurs at the beginning, middle, and end. It fits the “newspaper ad” style of the video really well. Also at the very end, there’s one more line that gives the jingle an upward contour, giving a sense of finality. “Until you can meet the king of the masquerade.” You’re there now.
The two verses start off differently before they take on a similar melody. It feels like Kazui is talking to a different person in each verse.
The chorus is a beautiful façade the first time and a sinister truth the second time.
The opening for solos shows that this jazz song means business. I love how the saxophone and trumpet especially get in your face. And with the tacet on vocals, the walking bass really shines if you lend it your ear.
And the smoke break! Silence is golden. Glass click. Lighter. Huff.
As always, Kazui’s voice is super deep. He hits even lower notes this time around. He’s a fifth lower than the next lowest singers (Haruka and Shidou)."
---
-Great instrumental choice. Kazui and jazz is *chefs kiss*
-Symbolism. THE SYMBOLISM. I can’t type out all my thoughts but ifykyk
-The almost comic like style of the MV is really appealing.
-Lyrics!! There is so much to unpack but it’s really cool.
-Kazui eating the dove… fricken iconic.
---
FIRST OF ALL the vocals????? BEAUTIFUL. His va put his whole pussy into this song and you can tell!! The way he sings the chorus is so damn addicting I'm so in love with him. His voice is more or less stable throughout the entire thing until the final chorus but you can hear the emotion peaking out which fits perfectly with Kazui keeping everything hidden. The way his voice turns into a sort of whisper during "all the things I wanna do that I can't say outloud"??? The way his voice starts trembling during "this feeling it's yearning to be satisfied"???? The way his voice turns into a sort of whisper AND starts trembling during "hey, if I said I liked-liked you, what would you?"?????? HEAVENLY! You can really feel how afraid Kazui is under his disguise and my heart breaks a little everytime I listen. Not to mention how absolutely powerful his voice gets at the climax!!!!!! It's insane!!!!!!! It's genius!!!!!! It makes me wild makes me crazy makes me eat my walls!!!!!!!!!!
THE SMOKE BREAK?????? What other song has something as powerful as that huh???? This isn't just a song produced by the milgram machine using his memories, this is HIS song and he is OWNING IT! The music builds up so much and gets so intense right before it, I can literally feel myself get tense and starting holding my breath right before he takes the break and everything relaxs… it's not just a break for him, but a break for the viewer. The song is spiralling out of control just like his life and his lies and he has no choice but to put it to a quick stop before its too much to handle.
THE IMAGERY IS WILD!!!!! He's a magician!!! Little magic guy!!!! Using tricks and lies to amaze and captivate the people around him! Trying desperately to magic his own feelings into something else! But it's all fake! It's all tricks and no matter how hard he tries he can never actually change himself into what he wants! But he's trying to convince himself the same way he's convinced his audience!! And when you're watching a magic act, are you there for the magician themself or are you there to watch the show?? The people in his life only cared for him when he performed for them, but they didn't give a drop of love to who he was a person! ALSO the transformation of the wedding ring to a cigarette to the dove at the end??? Makes me wild every single time! Right infront of his wife, he showed her that their marriage was something unhealthy for him that was slowly killing him from the inside. AND THEN he uses it to harm himself???? And then he turns that cigarette into a dove- a representation of love and literally TEARS INTO IT. He tears his marriage apart with his mouth!!! AKA HIS WORDS. makes me wild. Also fun fact Kazui says he started smoking because when he was younger it was "just natural for everyone to smoke" and that lines up with his reasons for marriage perfectly.
Kazui looks really hot in it. You should vote for Cat because Kazui is insanely attractive. What other reason do you need huh? Hot gay middle aged man.
Propaganda for THE PURGE MARCH:
"Despite the shorter length, the Purge March has several distinct sections in its structure.
It starts with a rolloff, and then… they don’t follow it. Amane isn’t here to follow the beat.
There’s the spoken-word intro and the upbeat first verse listing the tenets. The prechorus (“dou shiyou mo nai…”) has an amen break. The most-sampled four-bar drum beat. Well, there’s half of it. Is it supposed to mean something? Can I get an amen?
The chorus is so, so cheerful… unless you’re actually listening to the lyrics (“I’ll crush your throat too”) or watching the video. And it’s super catchy.
The second part of the verse dials things back. Now we’re in reality. This is how Amane breaks her tenets. All the while, those tenets are spoken into both ears over the singing. Get some good headphones. She sounds different in each ear.
The music picks up again with the amen break as Amane happily strolls back home, and then-
Oh.
The somber second chorus, with Amane’s lower singing voice and mournful spoken words, leads into the final chorus, with new lyrics and a more forceful tone. The once-meaningless chanting now has real words. “You’re sorry? I don’t care! Please go ahead and die already.” You can hear Amane’s anger despite the cheerful melody. She harmonizes in the final phrase, as if to say “we’re in this together, me and my little color guard troop.” And finally, it’s just her. Speaking. "Oboetemasuka?" Accompanied by only a single drum.
She is both Amane Momose and not. She upholds the doctrines that she was raised with, but she can’t."
---
"Purge March is geniunaly one of my favorite pieces of fiction both in and out of the context of trauma. Its fantastically directed and composed. The batton twirling is spetacular and energetic, the set and character design of Amane conveys a lot about the world she’s in and the story she’s telling. Purge March contextulizes a lot of Magic in both expected and unexpected ways (insert the entire cat symbolism thesis here) Purge March casts Amane in the role of a scary child. The glowing eyes, the framing of Amane as Above the viewer, the brutality and catharsis of it all. It seems tailored made to make you Scared of her. It’s a continuation of the cycle of abuse that we the audience repeated in T1 when we gave her that verdict. A red flashing warning sign about the Inhumanity and Monsterous qualities of Amane Momose. But Amane as a monster is fufilling and freeing. Again, its deeply cathartic. I would write more if I wasnt so sleepy at the moment but its just some Fantastic work overall. Purge March is also just fantasitic vocally and also hids electricity sounds in the instrumental which I think is evil and awesome."
---
-Amane’s vocals and how they slowly get more and more off the deep end is both really sad and cool to watch.
-The symbolism of the marching band and the flags. Ifykyk
-The beginning where it sounds like a propaganda TV show… really shows just how far Amane’s thinking is rooted in her cult and how that’s shaped her perception.
-The LYRICS. They work so well but it’s also creepy AF considering it’s a child who’s singing it.
-“So there is no second time, I’ll give back the judgment that you gave to me!”
-The overlapping part… gives me chills everytime.
-Building off the last point, the last “I’ll crush your throat too.” Ouch.
-“Remember MY cries, MY repents, MY words of “I’m sorry” that I said to you?”
-The song also does a great job of showing how much the guilty verdict messed with her.

𝙹𝙰𝚉𝚉 :. many know the great nat king cole for his vocal performances; but his piano skills were just as amazing if not better.
style: the muse of the music, the vibes of the diaspora, the ascension of art; the mood-myriad of styles, the amazingly talented skill in the nation of Nat.
Note: Nathaniel Adams Coles (known professionally as Nat King Cole), was an american singer, jazz pianist, actor, tv host, businessman, entrepreneur, visionary, innovator & icon. his music career began after he dropped out of school at the age of 15; & continued for the remainder of his life. he found great success & recorded over 100 songs which became colossal hits. His trio was the model for small jazz ensembles which followed. he also acted in films, on television & performed on broadway. He was the first black man to host an american television series. He is also the father of the great Natalie Cole. Is there a better soundtrack to be by the fireplace with the ones you love than this gent? Smoother than eggnog, he’s a crooner that’ll warm your heart.

Muse full gigs
Some full shows that are available, for anyone who wants to partially relive the Muse live experience.
I figured no one's made lists in a while.
La Cigale, Paris By-Request gig 2018
youtube
rarities + I guarantee I'm gonna fuck up Space Dementia + water spitting + Matt and Dom playing Grammy hosts in the way they announced the winners of the by-request polls
Some cool and noteworthy gigs:
Live Lounge 2012
The Mayan 2015 (performance wise this gig was stunning)
Royal Albert Hall 2008 (Teenage Cancer Trust charity gig - Megalomania on the pipe organ!)
Reading Festival 2011 (10 years of Origin of Symmetry - played the album start to finish)
AOL Sessions 2006
Reading 2006 (Muse's first time headlining if I remember right. Plus, Matt's moves!)
Glastonbury 2004 (first Glasto headline and a must-watch! Of the iconic mad-scientist, white lab coat era. Muse had called it the best gig of their life so far, at the time) (*Ruled By Secrecy was played live but wasn't included in the concert footage DVD and isn't in this video upload either)
Montreaux Jazz 2002 (height of piano maniac-ery days. Would also recommend Pinkpop 2002 but they don't. have. the footage anymore :( Space Dementia at Pinkpop 2002 was phenomenal. 2004 is also good, but I never found 2002 again. Speaking of which,)
Pinkpop 2004 (most songs are in, a few performances missing unfortunately)
MCM Café 1999 (marvel at what a good live act this young band aged 21 already was—with about 4 years of gigging experience under their belts. Insane how good they are.)
Wembley 2007 (H.A.A.R.P. The first band to sell out the newly rebuilt Wembley Stadium. 90,000 people. You need to understand, seeing Chris lift up and point his bass at the crowd at the end of the slightly modified Jimmy Jam riff before Time Is Running Out was a religious experience that changed me and we're lucky enough to live in an age where you and I can witness it over and over and over again and I'd suggest that you do)
Rock Am Ring 2018, uploaded to the Internet Archive by the Muse Historical Society!
Austin City Limits 2013 Philipshalle 1999 Philipshalle 2001 (all suggested in notes, check out the crystal clear gifs from @hotbellamy! :O )
A few additions I remembered after publishing: Eurockeennes 2000 (opened with a then-unreleased New Born. Matt playing a full gig in red sunglasses. Treat to watch. Link's stretched up to fit modern screens but if you want a bit of clarity and don't mind the late 90s ratio stretch, here's a different link) 2002 (quality's a bit shit but that is literally what telly used to look like)
Shepherd's Bush Empire 2006 (Early gigs are always interesting because over time Muse develop different ways of playing songs that are fresh off new albums. The way they work through Take A Bow live is a bit different here, Dom's the one controlling the opening verse synths! During the Abso tour, Matt would play that bit on the piano as an intro to Space Dementia and if I'm remembering right, he does now on the pianos (correct me—this was on the ST tour as well). Also, Starlight in Bm at this gig)
Rock Werchter 2023 (Muse play Rock Werchter in Belgium almost every year, except for the pandemic and 2012 I think, but this year's was a bit special. Best performance of Madness I've seen in a while, I love what he does in the outro! MOTP returns to the set. Muse had tech troubles at the end that caused them to restart Knights of Cydonia twice, to no avail. They finally cut it back for a guitar-bass-drum-vocals-only performance of Showbiz, and Matt's voice sounds exceptional on it— the best in recent years)
Bizarre Fest 2000 (BLESS SOMEONE HAS RESTORED THIS FROM VHS TAPE IN HD, this is so much better than back in the day!! If the falsetto at 1:13 doesn't do it for you, you're into the wrong band, nothing else will help. What an electric performance this was!)
Gigs from WOTP 2022/23 festivals tour last summer:
Nova Rock Rock In Rio Ejekt Fest Isle of Wight Hurricane Festival 2023 (a festival at which Matt once complained that Muse's set was cut short by... hurricanes. But the audio mixing at this gig was really good!)
These are in no particular order, and obviously not complete, I just realised no one had put together a gig archive in a while so I thought I'd give it a stab!
Will edit and add others whenever, there are obviously glaring omissions still!

5 Songs I'm Into Right Now
Thanks to @riftdancing for the tag! I love talking about music so this was perfect :)
1. acloudyskye - Surface
I decided to check out this album after seeing it pop up in RYM's new music since I'd heard one of acloudyskye's previous albums, and this song just sunk its hooks into me and won't let go. That guitar line. The piano chords backing it up. The production. The lyrics. The vocal delivery. The vibes. The main guitar riff and the chorus ("If you're there, can you hear it?/They're shooting flares in the distance/They won't find a trace of us/We'll be gone when morning comes") both live in my head rent free. This is a song that ends a character playlist I'm working on, and that spot is well earned.
2. 2hollis - all 2s
Fitting to go at number 2, I stumbled on this while trying to find more electroclash in the vein of Justice and decided to give it a spin. That first 30 seconds or so is what grabbed me: the simple synth line & choppy vocals that becomes a Wall of Noise after 16 bars. Don't know what it is about it, but that kinda noise just scratches some part of my brain the right way, and this song does it like few else. The synths in this are also fun, and I love the hype energy this has. Just a banger.
3. Fever Dolls - Gennifer Flowers
You can blame @reversalsun for this one, I got it from their playlist for one of their OCs (Anja, the one I made a drink for, as it happens), and it's wormed its way right into my brain. I love the very "theatrical" delivery of the verses with a lot of meat to unpack in the lyrics that's counterbalanced by the shouted chorus: "And if I've got the power to take it (got the power to fake it)/Gennifer Flowers got the power to shake her debasement". Basically, I wanna see the musical this is from, and the fact this band has only a handful of singles is a crime. Thanks Sam!
4. The Hives - Tick Tick Boom
A classic garage rock tune that made its way onto a playlist I put together for Lehon'a's time in Shadowbringers. In my head this soundtracks the final fight with Emet-Selch, with Lehon'a lording her superiority over Emet in the lyrics: "Yeah, I was right all along/Yeah, you were tagging along/Exhibit A: on a tray, what you say as I throw it in your face/Exhibit B: what you see, well it's me I put you back in your place". And that main guitar riff and the iconic "tick tick tick tick tick tick tick BOOM" where everything cuts out just make this song.
5. The 8-Bit Big Band - Can You Feel The Sunshine? (originally from Sonic R)
This one is YouTuber Adam Neely's fault. I decided to rewatch his video on how Video Game Music has spawned its own jazz scene and how it fits into the culture of jazz at large, and this is one of the songs that he helps perform. Just from the snippets in the video, the main hook managed to get trapped in my brain, and now I'm obsessed. The original song is a fantastic eurobeat adjacent track, but this jazz version just adds some extra spice. I especially love the vocalist really showing off towards the end of the number. Highly recommend watching the YouTube video which shows all the performers in the studio playing (and the Adam Neely video too), it's super cool!
Tagging (though no pressure to do it if you're busy or otherwise don't wanna): @reversalsun @zylphiacrowley @ga-keaton @ferrocyan @gatheredfates and any other passers-by who wanna share some cool tunes!

Streetlife Serenade Ranked
Tumblr media
Since this album is apparently vastly underrated, allow me to start this by saying that I absolutely love every song on this album. There isn't one that doesn't do it for me.
1) The Entertainer
I don't think I can adequately describe how much I love this song. I have always been so blown away by it. The instrumentation is so masterfully done, and each verse gradually builds on the last. There is the opening acoustic guitar, then that iconic synth riff that later repeats between verses throughout the song. The acoustic guitar continues on its own for the first verse, then the drums and bass come in on the second verse, then the steel guitar comes in on the third verse, then the banjo on the fourth verse, then the fantastic piano on the fifth verse. Then they all come together for the big crescendo of the sixth and seventh verses, while Billy absolutely goes nuts vocally. The cynical lyrics are some of the best that Bill has ever written, and I have always been obsessed with the rhyme scheme he used. It's poetic in a way that is reminiscent of Piano Man, but more impressive. Also shout out to the lost verse, which I love so much.
2) Weekend Song
This is an absolutely fantastic rock 'n' roll song, and I just love it more and more with time. I love that guitar riff, as well as the organ toward the end. I am obsessed with the gospely, bluesy piano riffs that are reminiscent of Ain't No Crime. And I think this is one of the best vocal performances Bill ever gave. I mean wtf!!!!!! He is so good, it makes me angry. I have seen this song compared to Take Me to the Pilot, but I won't go there other than to say eat your heart out, Elton. All those comparisons, but one thing Elton and Leon could definitely never do is sing like the great Billy Joel.
3) The Great Suburban Showdown
This is one of my favorite Billy Joel vocal melodies. It's one of those songs that just gets me right in my soul. The combination of the beautiful synth solos, the fantastic piano, the wistful pedal steel guitar, and the nostalgic lyrics alone would make me a little emotional, but add Billy's gorgeous vocal, and this song can easily bring me to the verge of tears.
4) Root Beer Rag
This is an incredible ragtime piano piece that sticks in my head for days after hearing it. I love everything about it, but I particularly love the part containing the dissonant, alternating major and minor seconds that comes out of nowhere and contrasts fantastically with the rest of the song. And I really love listening to live performances of this song and hearing Bill play it as fast as humanly possible, challenging the band to keep up.
5) Last of the Big Time Spenders
This is a song that I never hear anyone talk about, and I'm not sure why. I am obsessed with the piano on this song. It has a great, sort of jazz/blues flavor that provides an interesting juxtaposition to the country undertones of the pedal steel guitar. Bill has some incredible, soulful vocals here. And I think the lyrics are so clever, with the comparison of spending money and spending time. It's just a great song all around, and I think it leads really nicely into Weekend Song, which comes next on the album and has a similar feel.
6) Los Angelenos
This is an awesome rock song that goes harder than a lot of the songs on Glass Houses, with a great combination of electric piano, electric guitar, bass, excellent vocals by Billy, and some vintage, sardonic Billy Joel lyrics.
7) Roberta
I love the prominence of the piano on this song. The piano throughout the whole song is beautiful, but I especially love the intro and the piano break before the last verse. This seems to be a theme of this album, but there are more particularly great vocals from Billy here as well.
8) Streetlife Serenader
I absolutely love the classical sound of the piano in this song. The intro is just gorgeous. Billy's vocal here is great, and the rare appearance of his falsetto is delightful to me.
9) Souvenir
This song is short and sweet, but it is so good. The melody is gorgeous, the piano intro/outro is beautiful, and the wistful lyrics can really make me emotional.
10) The Mexican Connection
This is a beautiful, relaxing piece of music. I love all the piano work here and how it is complemented by the guitar, the congas, the organ, and, later on, the marimba. I especially love the big crescendo of piano chords at 2:03.

DISNEY STUDIO AU: The Three Caballeros
My take on human version of Disney's Three Caballeros for my AU.
Tumblr media
The Three Caballeros is a Latin pop idol group, widely popular in North, Central and South America. The members consists with Panchito (the lead vocalist), Jose (sub-vocalist and dancer), and Donald (sub-vocalist and rapper). Panchito Pistoles is of Mexican descent, José Carioca is Brazilian, and Donald represents United States.
The band was found during Donald's late teen years in university he attended and had taken trip with his two friends Panchito and José to both Central and South America, forming a group "Three Caballeros" with their debut song "Cruzando el Río del Tiempo" their iconic and first Latin-pop song that has caught the attention of recording company, beginning their first step to singing career. So far, they were preparing for Europe Tour.
However, the tour was canceled when Donald's vocal chord was severely injured, causing him to unable to sing. Donald left the band to serve military service in Marine Corps for four years while Panchito and José proceed to have a singing career as duo or as singles. As Donald has been the one to came up with Latin-pop and other genres to identify their group, they struggled to keep up the "Three Caballeros" as Panchito become a Mariachi-Mexican pop singer and José became a Samba/pop singer. At some point, they were able to contact Donald and found him raising triplet nephews on his own while his sister Della left for her social working adventures around the world. Donald also made new career in acting, comedy, variety shows with Mickey and Donald. However, seeing how Donald wish to be back on stage to sing, Daisy had Panchito and José finding ways to raise money for his vocal chord recovery.
After the vocal chord recovery and careful healing, Donald finally returned to singing career back in "Three Caballeros" with his two friends by their new album "Comeback Caballeros" under safer recording company within Disney Studio.

Hi BPP,
Since you are active, I thought I would get this in quick.
Did you watch the last three shows of Suga's concert? Just wanted to know your thoughts. I bought all three days because I suspected the boys will play. I had already seen Suga few times so I was hoping for the other boys and I was happy that they delivered. I am going to provide honest feedback and be mean by rating them. It's not a bad rating per so. It's more about what I felt during those three shows.
1st - Park Jimin and Suga - what a fucking pair. I know we always talk about Jikook's chemistry but I feel that JM has good chemistry with all the members and only highlighting Jikook's chemistry is disservice to JM and his insane chemistry with all the members. How the fuck is he able to match everybody's energy? It's incredible. To be honest, I struggled a bit to whether place RM and Suga's night or JMs and Sugas night first. In an ideal world, I would rate them both equally but also at the same time, Park Jimin is the performer of this century. The way he moves, the aura, the way he sounds, the way he looks. Every time I watch a BTS performance, Jimin kills it and he keeps getting better and better. I am afraid there is no stopping him. He is already on the way but he is going to be the biggest icon this world has seen..there is way too much potential there and we have just scratched the surface. He is so fucking sensual, its crazy..him and Suga sounded amazing and vibe really well. Jimin just owns the stage whether he is just walking/talking or performing. I think this to me sets him apart from all the other members. He doesn't even need to perform to ooze out charisma. There is just something about him. Okay enough about JM before I write multiple paragraphs.
2nd - Damn RM!! First of all, I love short hair. I think it makes him look fucking sexy. He is daddy for sure!! Love the unreleased song. Loved the energy between Suga and RM. Loves those friendship and whatever else thee is. The only reason that I placed the second day about the last day despite the visit from Hobi and Jin is Park Jimin. He is a performer performer. In saying that, I have always felt that RM's stage presence is underated. I feel like people used to be a bit funny about Suga's too but they have since relapsed that Suga is a fucking beast. RM I think gets a mixed reaction. I feel that dancers often get labeled as people with best stage presence but RM is a fucking killer on stage. I still rank JM higher than the rest of the BTS members but RM is pretty up there for me..his new song sounds incredible and I can't wait for his new album. Plus I want to see his titties..honestly I don't care about BTS showing their bodies. I have already loved through that with JM with his beautiful fucking body. Now Kookie is naked every second day.. most of the days l love it but sometimes I dont want to see it. The reason is because the body loses its value for me if I see it often. I just want to see RMs sexy body and then I am done with BTS and nudity unless one of them does tasteful full nudity (looking at you JM). Show us the goods!! I digress sorry. In conclusion, RM you nice, keep going.
3rd - I love Kookie but I don't like the song Seven. I think it's a dumb song that has the streams it has because fans feel they need to support everything their artist puts out, too many versions to purchase and stream, too much of a push for a shitty song and all that jazz. Now I am not saying JK didn't do a good job. He did do a good job but I want a better song for JK. I don't even care that he doesn't write it. I want a song that's not forgettable. I want a song that I know JK can kill and make it his own. Once again, JKs vocals sign but the song isn't that great. I thought I would enjoy it live but honestly have no feelings. I also felt that the audience weren't that into it when he performed. Not sure what but didn't feel it. I might sound like a hater but I honestly don't think the addition of JK did much for me. Burn it on the other hand was a blast for me. I like JKs voice in songs like that. I think JK is a great performer and just like JM has a lot of potential but 7 doesn't show any of that potential for me. I have no idea why they were pushing the song so much to be honest. Jk can write better songs and melodies. Let him do his shit!!
Overall though, they all looked hot. I almost cried looking at their beautiful faces. I hope if JK does songs about sex next time, actually either kiss the fuck out of them or fuck them
That seems more fitting than a weird stalker music video. JM next time kiss your reflection for fuck sake. Although a bit weird to.kiss your reflection, that would have been awsome. The whole fandom would have lost their mind. I am waiting to see who is going to start the trend of physical intimacy. I would like to say JM since he technically does a lot of subtle rebellious things or JK because it's JK but I would honestly love it more if it's Joon. Imagine everyone's face. Can't wait for all of them to kiss on screen.
Okay I am done with my rant haha
***
I disagree that Seven is a stalker music video. I think it's fairly clear the line between benign (humorous) persistence and stalking wasn't crossed. And it's no use defaulting to that option otherwise.
But yes to everything else you said. Sort of. I enjoyed reading everywhere this went even when I strongly disagreed. I think it's so interesting how we all perceive each member in BTS and their solo works.
And yeah, everything about Yoongi's encore concerts was perfection.

Voices from the Junta: 5 greek rock albums from the 1970s
As you may already know, Greece went through a military junta that lasted for 7 years (1967-1974) which unfortunately suppressed the majority of rock albums and music that were supposed to be around at the time. Some of them became the manifesto of anti-military movements while others have been forgotten until recently.
1. Akritas — Akritas (1974)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jazz, progressive and psychedelic rock influences! This one is my personal favourite since there are no songs to skip in my opinion and Stavros Logaridis' vocals are amazing.
2. Socrates Drank The Conium — Phos (1974)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Probably one of the most important progressive rock bands in Greece. This album in particular was produced by Vangelis :)
3. Poll — Poll / Lefkó (Λευκό) (White)
Tumblr media
You can tell that the cover itself recalls The Beatles' White Album. There's actually a lot to say about Poll buuuuut to cut a long story short this band became iconic during the Junta because of their anti-war songs. You want us to cut our hair and sing about how much we love our country? Booooo we want peace and sex actually 👍🏼
4. Kostas Tournas — Aperanta Chorafia (1974)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This album is composed of a suite that is like 34 minutes long! But don't worry there's a shorter version of it as well...of course it's about peace and love :) i think the long version is totally worth the listen because it has many cool changes 🙏🏼
(short version)
(long version)
5. Peloma Bokiou — Peloma Bokiou (1972)
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I couldn't find much information about this band, but their music often combines rock and greek traditional music (as you can hear from the song linked below!!) And I think it's wonderful

“The Girl from Ipanema” Singer Astrud Gilberto Dead at 83
Astrud Gilberto, who brought worldwide attention to bossa nova with 1964’s “The Girl from Ipanema,” has died at 83.
Her former label, Verve Records, announced Gilberto’s June 5 death without giving a cause.
“One of the most affecting and unique voices in all of music, Astrud’s Verve albums introduced millions of listeners worldwide to the wonders of Brazilian music and jazz and the magical intersection of the two,” the label said.
Though best known for “Impanema,” Gilberto recorded 16 studio albums and continued playing live until 2002.
Courtney Jaye eulogized Gilberto as “an absolute icon,” while Leo Sayer called her “the wonderful girl from Brazil with the golden voice.”
The influence of that voice and Gilberto’s “beautiful, natural, untrained vocal genius” can be heard “from Sade to Lana Del Rey and beyond,” Steven Van Zandt said on Twitter.
The singer “elevated the bossa nova and samba genres and put Bahia on the map,” Van Zandt added.
“I always loved Astrud Gilberto,” Al Di Meola wrote on Facebook. “My first introduction to bossa nova. May she rest in peace.”
