Ok, so I don’t do NSFW on here, but here are some cute and very random jenelope hcs instead!! (background moreid because I can’t not add them ejshajnd)

Before they got together JJ would gush to Spencer and Emily about how she’s madly in love with Penelope and Penelope would do the same with Derek but they both thought the other would never be interested 🥲

JJ would go "she’s probably into Derek" and Penny would go "she’s totally straight 😭💔"

at the very very beginning of their relationship (and a little before too) whenever either one of them would have a nightmare they would always call the other and just listen to their voice 🥺

JJ was always too scared to say something, so Penelope made the first move

She thought she was joking tho so for their first couple of dates JJ though Penelope still saw her as just a friend

But then JJ got hurt on the job one day and they weren’t sure if she was gonna make it 🥺💔

and penny took the first flight there and held her hand any time she could 🥺

JJ had to kept being brought out of the room cuz there was something wrong with her IV

And Penny was terrified that she was going to lose her without ever getting to tell her she loves her

Then when JJ comes back and the doctors say she’s gonna be fine Penelope feels like she can finally breathe again, and she never leaves her hospital room

When JJ wakes up penelope is asleep, holding her hand and resting her head on her thigh

JJ tugs at her hand and she wakes up and they’re both kinda teary-eyed and Penelope tells her how scared she was because she loves her

And JJ actually believes her and when she’s clear to go home, they spend the entire afternoon cuddling on the couch and Penelope runs her fingers through JJ’s hair and kissing the top of her head

And JJ just reassures her on how she’s ok, and she’s safe 🥲

after that they get super clingy and just generally protective with each other

Penelope and Derek will complain to each other about how JJ and Spencer shouldn’t be in the field, but their judgment is biased because they just want their partners to be safe at all times

and JJ and Spencer will gush about how hot Penelope and Derek are, and how they’re just absolute simps, and all Penelope and Derek have to do is ✨smile✨ and they melt On The Spot

JJ also talks about how she wishes penny wouldn’t be in the conference room when they’re going over a case because sometimes she accidentally ends up seeing the pictures and she gets really sad and grossed out and JJ wishes she didn’t have to go through that

while Spencer also wishes Derek wasn’t in the field as well cuz a lot of times he ends up being the leader and that could really poorly backfire

Either way they spend hours on end gushing about their significant others jejskekska 🥰

Whenever they get into arguments, JJ always sleeps over at Emily’s and Penny will spend most of her days with Derek and Spencer

When they finally make up again, they get real clingy to each other and Hotch has to put on his Mean Face to get them to leave each other’s side again 🥰

Anyways, I’ve been spoiled senseless by Supercorp fics these days, so I’ve been out of my Jemily funk. I think I’ll get back once I read the new update from May I Approach coming up (not pressuring you or anything 🥺). On the other hand I got some somewhat relevant personal questions for you.

When did you first start watching CM? Was it since the pilot or did you get into it later on? Was Jemily always a thing for you or did you gradually get hooked after looking at edits or reading a random blurb or whatever. How do you feel about Emily supposedly getting personal storylines this upcoming season? Do you think they’ll give her a relationship? Perhaps with a woman? Or is Tara playing a queer woman already enough for the network. Do you wish CM was just done with? Or do you want them to make more seasons? etc etc 🙃

I started watching CM in 2020 while working on my Master's thesis lmao I dove headfirst into the fandom and started writing fic for it in Oct 2020. Actually, I watched the first 9 seasons in 2014 (that's how many were out) bcs a girl I liked at the time loved MGG haha I barely remember anything other than being sad when Emily left lol I could 2020 as when I actually watched it

I shipped Jemily immediately lmao I usually find a wlw ship fairly quickly and I loved Jenelope, but then moved to Jemily when Emily arrived. Of course, I then spent so many nights reading fic and I asked Bee to start our podcast in like Sept 2020 bcs I just needed to talk about it.

I'm interested in Emily's storylines, but I worry that they'll change her backstory or make it something I don't like hahaha I'm so used to watching shows that are finished (like CM was) so I'm nervous about what will happen to our characters! I want Emily to be happy, but I also worry about it being a bad storyline. I hope she's gay!!

I'm so happy that Tara is gay, but I do think it means Emily won't be. That's fine, though. Like, I personally don't need Emily to be canon gay lmao I'm so used it it being all a headcanon

💓 jenelope headcanons 💓

side notes:

1 -> it’s established relationship cuz idk how to write f-t-l with them 😖😖😖

2 -> this is set in like seasons 1 & 2, so there’s no kids and jj is still media liaison

possible displays neurodivergent traits! (if you’re neurotypical, this trigger is not for you, it’s for those in ND community who get triggered by stimming and mentions of breakdowns. also, the only reason “possible” is added is because I’m not neurodivergent (nor a doctor) so I have no personal experience with with these, and I don’t know if they’re considered neurodivergent traits. if you’re neurodivergent im 100% willing to listen to your opinions and thoughts on this!!!)

jj loves falling asleep over penelope, and loves holding one of her hands and just fiddling with her fingers (interlacing them, kissing her knuckles, etc)

Penelope always played with jjs hair when they do that, and she loves trying to make a braid with just one hand. sometimes she tangles jjs hair a little and they laugh 🥰🥰

when JJ is having a bad day she sits cross-legged on one of Penelope’s desks and just fiddles with Penelope’s toys

occasionally throughout the day penelope will go over and just hold her waist and rest her head on one of JJ’s thighs and JJs hand automatically goes to her head and starts fiddling with her hair

On days where she can’t stay in Penelope’s office she takes one of the toys with her and is fiddling with it all days and doesn’t let go for too long

On those days when they get home they cuddle and sometimes if it was really bad jj will break down and cry into Penelope’s shoulder and Penelope just comforts her through it 🥺🥺🥺

sometimes she also gets really touch averted so they’ll just sit next to each other while jj sobs into her hands, and Penelope just sits with her so she doesn’t feel alone 🥺🥺

On game nights they always have so much fun and they rarely bicker over the color/object of the players because penny will always go for the smallest or pink one and jj will always go for the one with more texture or blue one (ex. on the life game, penny gets the pink car and jj gets the blue one, or monopoly, jj gets the Statue of Liberty because it has a lot of bumps and she runs her fingers through them all the time because it calms her down and helps her feel grounded, and penny gets the hat because it’s small and sometimes she likes to just run her fingers through the “hem” — they rarely ever leave their pieces on the board which causes them to forget where they were but it’s ok cuz they always have fun 🥰🥰)

On their days off, they like to go on picnics and jj takes care of the setting while Penelope takes care of the snacks

jj always picks somewhere with a body of water, usually a river but they live nearby a lake and sometimes they go there as well

she absolutely loves seeing the water just move on the river or just stare at the cute ducks on the lake

Penny always has cookies and extra money in her bag cuz she knows jjs gonna want to get ice cream

at dinner time, usually penny cooks, but jjs always with her, sitting on the counter and trying to help out (even tho penny said not to worry, and that she likes to do it by herself, and also to give jj a break from always working), and when she has nothing to do (or nothing in her hands to fiddle with) she’ll set the table extra nice with candles and wine

jj loves when they’re too lazy or too tired to cook anything so she just makes ham and cheese sandwiches for them and they sit on the couch and watch TV.

Penny loves putting on romantic dramas or romantic comedies while jj likes putting on western/action movies (it gives closure she never got as a kid 🥺💔)

One thing they can’t watch is horror because then the next day they can’t really do their job right because they just keep going back to the movie that depicts what they only see the aftermath of (like yeah they see the dead body and they’re informed of sa, but if a movie is graphic enough that it’ll depict it, then the next time they hear a victim was SAed they’ll be able to picture it and it just makes the job a lot harder to do 🥺💔)

On a lighter note, they have movie nights every Saturday and a lot of times they settle for Disney movies, and they’ve watched lady and the tramp so much that they know a lot of the dialogue

They also sometimes like to put it on mute and make up their own dialogue, and they always have so much fun with it

They have this little plush toy they keep in between them, so when one has a nightmare they can cuddle it while also cuddling each other (like if jj has a nightmare, she’ll get cuddles from penny, with the plushy in her own arms)

every morning they wake up half an hour earlier then they’re supposed to so that they can be lazy in bed and steal sleepy kisses and still get up in time and not be late for work

they never tried to hide their relationship from the team, but they weren’t necessarily public about it.

Hotch was the first to know, and he’s like “there’s fraternization rules against it, so no one on this team should be in a relationship” but then pulls them aside and he’s like, I don’t know nothing, I ain’t see nothing, but if hypocritically there was something, I’d be happy with it, BUT I DONT KNOW NOTHING (aka, he supports their relationship, but doesn’t want them to get in trouble 🥺🥰)

the next to find out is Morgan and he’s * o f f e n d e d * that his bbg never told him and she was like “you never asked 🤷” and he’s like “yeah, fair point” (obv. he also supports it)

When Elle finds out she’s like “hot.” And they both blush, but she’s supportive and it hurts them more then anyone else when she leaves because she’s the only other queer woman they’re close with, but then when Emily joins, she can smell the gays a mile away and it brings them a bit of comfort

When Spencer find out he’s also * o f f e n d e d * they didn’t tell him, but he gets super excited and buys them a bunch a Pride stuff for them because he knows they might not use it so he gets an excuse to have gay shit lying around his house (🚪🚪🚪)

Gideon never really payed attention to their “friendship” but when hotch offhandedly mentions it he acts like he already knew, and doesn’t make a big deal out of it (let’s be honest this man is an ally ☺️☺️)

as time progresses, they become more and more open about it, and occasionally will display copious amounts of PDA, and the team finds it absolutely adorable because they’re so happy for them 🥰🥰

Below the cut are some hcs/a little story of what happened on this specific girls night!

Warnings:

- Mentioned Fainting (dw no one actually faints, Spence is just really gay)

Pairings:

- Derek & Spencer (narrator acknowledges the gays tho)

- JJ & Penny (could be read as a ship or friendship, up to you!)

- Tara & Emily (could be read as a ship or friendship, also up to you!)

Spencer is insecure about wearing something they’re not used to so Penelope wears the same thing to match so they feel less insecure 🥺💓 (if this is in here like 500 times it’s because tumblr kept deleting it, and now I don’t know what it’s saving anymore 🙃)

Emily is back on her emo phase because she found a witch hat at the bottom of Penny’s closet so she went with an outfit to match it.

Penny gifts JJ with a sheer pink top eith white butterflies.

JJ tried not cry. She fails and ruins her make up.

Penelope has to re-do the bottom of the hearts and JJ keeps apologizing but Penelope just says it’s ok and kisses her cheek

Meanwhile Spencer and Emily are having a karaoke match trying to see who can sing the highest note (they’re both horrible at it but Spencer ends up winning)

Tara shows up a little late because she got stuck in traffic.

She automatically joins Spencer and Emily and ofc beats them.

Not only can she hit the highest note she can also hit the lowest note.

By the time they’ve tired out their voices, jj and Penelope are just looking at them from the bed trying to control their laughter the whole time.

Then Spencer, Emily and Tara make a bet to see who could reach the kitchen first.

Tara also wins because the other two can’t even run.

They use the gay as an excuse

Doesn’t work because Tara’s also gay

Upstairs, Penelope finds an old bin full of pride pins when she was looking for something else for jj.

She shows it to her, and (still closeted) JJ takes the lesbian one and pins it on her top pinning both fabrics together.

She looks away cuz she was scared to see Penelope’s reaction.

Penelope gives her the biggest hug and tells her she’s proud of her for trusting Penelope with this.

They go downstairs to find Spencer and Emily drinking water out of tupperwares.

Tara says it was their punishment for making her run while they just walked.

Penelope laughs and sets the bin on the kitchen counter and the three of them scramble through them finding their own pins.

They’re all out so it’s no surprise no one goes for the only “straight ally” pin

Then jj walks in kinda shy, and they notice the pin they all smile at her.

Tara gives her a hug and so does Emily. Spence just gives her an awkward thumbs up but she understands.

They eventually go out for dinner and they run into Derek.

He sees them all with their funky clothes and pride pins and feels automatically underdressed (not that he’d ever admit it out loud).

He notices that Spencer is a little shy but he showered them in compliments that he hopes helps make them feel less awkward but it only makes Spencer flustered and blush like crazy.

Then he notices JJs and pin flashes her the brightest smile and gives her a tight hug full of silent “I’m proud of you”s making her feel accepted 🥲.

Penelope tells him to join them for the rest of the night so they go back to her place again to get Derek ready.

While Penelope is trying to find cute tops she owns that would fit Derek, she instead finds a little box with head accessories.

She hands Spencer a little unicorn horn and they automatically put it on, giggling and taking a white and yellow flower crown and went to give it to Derek.

Penelope found a blue one for herself, and a pink one that is the exact color of JJ’s top so she sprints outside to give it to her and went back inside to keep looking for something for Derek.

Derek, in the meanwhile, had found the pride pin bin and was looking for his pride pins.

He was already out to the team but for some reason Spencer didn’t know so when they saw that Derek had separated the mlm one to the side and was still looking they nearly fainted.

Luckily, they didn’t, instead they managed to hand Derek the little crown as Derek removed the demiboy pin and shoved the bin a bit to the side.

Derek automatically put it on and gave them the goofiest smile saying “how do I look?!”

Spencer tried not to faint again, wanting to say “really fucking cute” but opting for “good” instead.

Penelope called Derek, and showed him the black flowery turtleneck she found and how “YOU HAVE TO WEAR IT, IT'LL LOOK SO CUTE!!!!”

He sighed and put it on but also puts his sweater back on and Garcia was kind of disappointed at first but the flowers were still visible so she was ok with it.

During all of this, Tara, Emily and JJ were outside on Pennys balcony.

Emily and JJ were playing with the little Nintendo switch that JJ brought (it was Henry’s and Michael’s) while Tara smoked and tried not to laugh whenever they’d start bickering.

“EMILY YOU CANT DO THAT, THATS CHEATING!!” “YES I CAN, I JUST DID!”

Eventually they all went out to dinner, settling for pizza and made their way to the supermarket afterwards to buy snacks.

The snacks consisted of:

5 bags of popcorn (that they all knew would probably taste like plastic but they liked it anyway).

A couple packs of cookies -> Oreos, chips ahoy, even graham crackers.

Some chips -> layes for Derek and Spencer (they shared), Tostitos for Tara, Doritos for Emily, Cheese-itz for Penelope, and ofc, the Cheetos were for Jayje and and Jayje only!!

And a few drinks -> a 6 pac for Emily and Derek, lemonade for Spencer and JJ, Red Bull for Tara and one of those dunkin iced coffees for Penelope.

After they got their snacks, they headed out to an abandoned parking lot they went to occasionally that didn’t belong to anyone (and it was technically illegal for them to be there).

Penny had brought a projector and a couple blankets so they sat there and watched movies all night.

Emily and Tara kept throwing popcorn whenever something cheesy happened on screen (all gay ofc, Penelope isn’t putting on no h*t movie).

Meanwhile Derek and Spencer leaned against the hood of Penny's car, Derek had his arm around Spencer and Spencer had their hand on Dereks chest. (they occasionally glanced at each other because 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈).

JJ and Penelope were sitting next to Tara and Emily but they were actually enjoying the movie and going “aaaawwweeee 🥺🥺🥺” whenever something cute would happen

(as opposed to Tara and Emily who pretended to be throwing up going “EW LOOOOOVE!! CANT RELATE!!!”).

Eventually the sun started to rise again and JJ had fallen asleep with her head on Penelope’s lap, and Penny had fallen asleep with her head on Emily’s shoulder.

Emily was in the middle of “how Elsa was a total raging lesbian-” when her alarm went off.

Tara, who was listening like her life depended on it, automatically glared at the phone like it had just done the rudest thing.

Spencer was sitting on the hood of the car, and had fallen asleep leaning on Dereks shoulder.

Derek was standing in front of them and kept running his fingers through their pretty curls and placed soft kisses on their head.

Spencer woke up with Emily’s alarm and so did JJ and Penny.

They all decided it was time to home, so they went back to Penelope’s.

Her and JJ went right back to sleep, cuddling on Penny’s bed, while Spencer and Derek took the couch.

Emily and Tara kept up their conversation of lesbian characters until they got tired and eventually fell asleep in the middle of the floor.

They all woke up with headaches and back pain :)

concept: florist and tattoo artist…the florist finally decides to ask the tattoo artist for that tattoo they’ve been offering for years.

Ok I can see this as both penemily and jenelope!!

penemily -> tatto artist!emily and florist!penny and Emily has this really pretty flower design that she thinks suits penelope, and after years penelope finally lets her do it, and she ends up with the golden outline of a sunflower behind her ear, and she’s in love with it!!

jenelope -> tatto artist!penny (like black queen type penny) and florist!jj. they’ve got this small friendship (more like acquaintances) going, and one day jj offhandedly mentions that she used to collect butterflies as a kid, and when Penelope finds this old sketch book of hers theres a butterfly drawing with splatter behind it, and she can’t stop associating it with jj, so for months she’s trying to convince her to get the tattoo. One day she finally accepts it, and she ends up with a baby blue sideways butterfly with three pink dots at the tip of the wings and and black dots all around the butterfly (mimicking the splatter from the original sketch) at the end of her collar bone with a dotted black line connecting it to an “X” at the other end of the collar bone. She’s in love with and stares at in the mirror every morning when she changes before work (she also starts wearing a lot of open neck shirts for her tattoo to be visible, she loves it when kids compliment her on it).

UM YESSSS!!! Emily would probably just be like “fuck off bitch” and hangs up on them without even realizing it was them, and Spencer’s gets actually invested in the conversation and doesn’t even realize it’s a prank call untill JJ and penny start laughing and they tell him they were just messing around and that they weren’t “ordering pizza from a McDonalds” when he’s halfway through statistics on fast food restaurants 🥺💓
