Cowboy Bebop hand headcanons. I've seen this idea in other fandoms, but let's write down some ideas. For the bebop artists who follow me 👀

Spike:

Ambidextrous, but favors right hand

Burn marks on backs of hands from having cigarettes stubbed out on him as a child

Hands are warm, grip is strong and steady. Need steady hands to shoot a gun straight!

Middle finger on left hand is slightly crooked due to being broken as a child in a fight and never set properly

Faye:

Left-handed

Hands pre-cryogenic freezing were warm like Spike's. Post-freezing, her hands are permanently cold due to cryogenic sleep's affect on her circulation

Nails always have a clear gloss on them and they're well-maintained. No broken nails ever!

Long, graceful fingers. Has the fingers of a concert pianist

Jet:

Right-handed, but was taught to shoot a gun with both hands in the police academy

Getting arthritis already, has a mole on left-hand

Hands are slightly clammy and cool at all times

Solid, boxer's hands. Scarring across knuckles from being split in many fights

Ed:

Ambidextrous, no preference

Hands are always dry and cracked, hates the sensation of moisturizer on hands

Double-jointed fingers, bites fingernails

Thin hands and wrists, hasn't built up any real muscle definition yet

Gren:

Right-handed, but comfortable with both due to years of playing musical instruments

Always in long-sleeves due to self-harm scars on forearms and wrists inflicted on himself while in prison

Long, nimble hands. Good reflexes from time in army

Fingernails are also shaped and maintained

Vicious:

Left-handed

Lots of scarring on hands, prominent chemical burn marks from punishment inflicted on him by the syndicate years ago

Nails are cut religiously short, the less of a mark he leaves on his victims, the better

Steady hands like Spike. Hands are surprisingly warm
