JJK Chapter 20
I'm on my reread of JJK and I'm on chapter 20 where Shoko explains how the victims of Mahito were originally human over phone speaker and look how she comforts Yuji when he's beating himself up after the fact:
I love her so much, she's so good! look at how he cheers up from that, what an underrated moment, because she's right! we don't deserve her
anyway do you think she was thinking about suguru in that moment? how riko's death irrevocably fucked him up but there was zero debrief/comfort/support from the adults to help him process it? (insofar as what canon has shown us?) haha because I totally wasn't haha...
yuji's still a kid. the students - they're all still kids. no, they can't be shielded from the reality that their world is more than fucked up, that's just unrealistic, but at the same time that's no excuse to not have a little compassion and damn, i love this moment so much
"You didn't kill them. Don't you dare think otherwise."
