“Where does this train even go?”, he mumbled under his breath.

Head tilted; he was watching the worldly scenery vanish quickly in front of him. He found comfort in the rapid change outside as his thoughts were racing equally hasty. He hadn’t heard from you in weeks but still he couldn’t stop thinking about you.

He composed the memories of you the same way he composed his songs.

First, he imagined your breathtaking visuals: your bright eyes, your cute nose and sensuous lips. Then, he added the sounds of your cute laughter and silent gasps. And lastly, he imagined you saying the most beautiful words: I love you, Matthew. I can’t picture my life without you, you’re all I need. Thinking of you like that always filled his heart with the utmost love. The warm fuzzy feeling spread through his whole body, leaving him happy and fulfilled. That tender feeling didn’t last long though, as the most recent memories clouded his mind too soon. What started out as the loveliest tune turned into the most caustic remix. Now he saw your tearful eyes and worried frowns, heard your desperate screams and spiteful words and listened to you breaking up with him. Those warm and fuzzy feelings turned icy, numbing his whole body.

He took a deep breath. “Fuck, I miss her so much. What should I do?”, he muttered silently. Once again, he grabbed his phone and opened your chat. Your picture was still there. He felt the relief as he realized you had not deleted his number – maybe you missed him, too? Maybe you were looking at your phone and hoping for him to text you, too? Hyped up by his delusional fantasies he decided to text you.

Y/N… I miss you.

Eyes glued to his phone, not daring to even blink. His throat was dry, hands jittery and stomach tied into a knot. “She will answer, won’t she?” He gasped as he saw you typing. By now his heart was beating as fast as the train was going.

I miss you, too.

His eyes lit up as he processed those words.

Of course, I do. I think about you all the damn time.

Are you serious?

Yes. You wouldn’t believe how often I picked up my phone just to text you.

Yet you didn’t…

Yeah, I decided it was better not to.

He felt his blood boiling up again.

He had to think about that for a while. Did he want your honesty? BM often thought about the possible downfalls of your relationship. Did he spend too much time on his music? Did he spend too much time in the gym? Did he not make you feel loved? Did he not please you sexually? Was there someone else? He ruminated on all those questions countless times and never found an answer. So maybe it was time to finally reveal the truth.

When I first met you, I was head over heels in love with you. I know this sounds cliché but it’s true. I never met someone like you before. You showed me parts of you that I adored so much, and you also showed me new sides of myself that I got to love as well. I loved spending time with you. We always had a great time, didn’t we? Kissing you, hugging you, laughing with you, fucking you, talking about serious stuff with you – that all felt so comfortable. I knew that I didn’t want to be in a relationship when I met you but given the nature of all this, I changed my mind about it.

BM scoffed as he read the last sentence; the hurt of you dumping him still deeply ingrained in his heart.

You changed your mind about it? And yet you threw me away like I was garbage?

I can see why you would feel that way. But don’t you think you dumped me first?

BM never had a heart attack, but this had to be it. What was that supposed to mean? “How the hell did I dump you first? I’ve been crying for weeks because you left me and now you have the guts to tell me I did that to myself?”, he was furious.

Are you serious right now? No. No, I don‘t think that. At all. You abandoned me!!

For a moment he forgot how to breathe. He stared at the screen, unable to answer, unable to process what was happening.

Weren’t you the one that got so much into your head and focused on your fears? Weren’t you the one that was dead set on me hurting you? Weren’t you the one distancing yourself because you were afraid?

Tears were forming in the corner of his eyes.

Weren’t you the one that was convinced that I wasn’t serious about you? Weren’t you the one thinking that I must be fucking dudes on the side and only be toying with you? Weren’t you so sure about me being an easy girl that simply fucks around? Did you honestly think I would not notice this?

By now it was hard to read the messages, tears completely clouding his vision. “I never said that to her, what the fuck. It’s… it’s like she saw right through me. She saw what I was thinking about her, about us. How is that possible? How did she grasp my fears like that?”

Matthew, I wanted to love you. I wanted to stay by your side and build this beautiful connection I thought we shared. But you painted me as the bad guy. You made me into this menace that only used you for sex. You saw me as someone taking advantage of you and that irked me. I got so disgusted by you, that’s why I left. It felt unfair – you took my beautiful love and turned it into something so ugly. What does that say about you?

BM wiped away his tears, pulling his black beanie further down. Shame was flooding his whole body now. He asked for honesty, and he got it, all of this was true. What kind of person was he? Why the fuck did he always assume the worst? Why was he always sabotaging love? Deep down he knew why but he never had the courage to share his dark fears with others. Would it have been different if he had shared it with you? He started typing his reply to you, being totally honest and transparent for a change.

Y/N, you are right. About everything. I am so sorry. I am so sorry that I hurt you like that. I don’t know why I can’t stop doing that. I guess I’m just fucked up. I made horrible experiences in the past and got hurt, badly. I know I shouldn’t compare you to the girls I dated back then, honestly, I couldn’t even if I wanted to as they wouldn’t stand a chance. But the hurt they ingrained in me still lingers and that’s why I did that. I was afraid that you would break my heart. I was afraid that you would turn out like they did. I was afraid that this was too good to be true. And by fearing all that I created a monster. Out of myself and out of you. I am so sorry. You didn’t deserve that. Deep down I know how wonderful you are – that’s the reason I fell in love with you. My fear made me see things that were not there and by doing that I pushed you away. I get that now. He didn’t have the chance to finish his side of the story as you finished it for him. “Gone”, was the last word he muttered before he deleted his whole paragraph and put away his phone. He stared out of the window again, lost in thought, wondering if he could ever change.

length: short like maybe 500?!

summary: the photos that your soulmate takes on their phone end up on yours and vice versa, but only if it's a photo of anything but their face. will you be able to find each other?

sitting at a table in the café you frequent, you pull out your phone to scroll through the gallery, pouting sadly when you notice your soulmate hasn't taken any new photos. it's been a few days now, even though he'd usually take a photo everyday. it was often of his room: his messy bed, his desk setup, his wardrobe. a couple of times he took photos of latte art. it seemed he was a barista!

a few times in the past, you'd taken photos of locations, hoping he would recognize them and would run to meet you there. he never came though, no matter how long you waited. you'd also written your phone number down on a piece of paper and taken a photo of that to send, but apparently that didn't work either--it appeared blurry to your soulmate.

you sip your drink sadly, stirring it with the straw. having nothing else to do, you take a photo of the café entrance--a wooden, blue door with a square glass pane in the top middle. the door frame is white, and so are the walls of the café.

for once, J.seph instantly knows where you are. the photo of the doorway that he finds in his phone is incredibly familiar... because he works at the café where the doorway is located!

he pushes back in his chair and leaves the break room, stepping out onto the floor of the café. the doorway looks exactly as it did in your photo, and he analyzes the photo to try to figure out which person sitting where could have taken it.

meanwhile, you're still sadly sipping away, telling yourself that maybe you'll die without ever meeting your other half.

"excuse me? i'm sorry this is random, but... did you take this photo?" a stranger asks you, holding up his phone.

the photo is of the café entrance--the one that you took just moments ago. but why is it in his phone?

you look from the phone to the boy's face. his eyes are round and wide as he eagerly waits for your answer. his plump lips are curled into a slight smile, and his fluffy hair just barely prickles his eyelashes.

"uhh... i did take that photo," you say.

the boy seems to lose the strength in his knees and holds onto your table for support.

"are you okay?" you ask.

"please have a seat!" you tell him when he doesn't respond.

he sits, the blood drained from his tanned face.

"i think... you... if this..." he stutters.

then, he takes a deep breath and attempts to start all over again.

"if you took this photo... it's in my camera roll... that means... we're soulmates?"

you slowly nod, also shocked. just moments ago you were cursing at the universe for keeping your soulmate hidden, but now here he is.

"i'm J.seph," your soulmate says with a smile, holding out his hand to you.

you shake it and introduce yourself to him, too.

"i have to get back to work now 'cause my break is over, but after, we could grab some food and talk things over?" J.seph shyly suggests.

you nod, agreeing.

"that sounds good," you say.

he waves before he steps behind the counter, and you feel excited... so excited that you leave while having forgotten to pay. it doesn't matter anyway, though, because J.seph already grabbed the bill for you.

(Reader’s POV)

So today’s finally the day, huh? I get to perform live in front of all of my favorite idols! My hairstylist curls and dyes the ends of my hair (F/C) while my makeup artist applies my eyeliner, drawing each wing on perfectly. “Now, I know today is really important and exciting for you, but could you please keep still while I have something close to your eye?” My makeup unnie asks with an impatient tone.

“Joesonghabnida, unnie.” I respond to her. In a few hours, I’m performing live in front of millions of people at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Among those millions of people happen to be my most favorite groups such as EXO, BTS, Twice, and BlackPink. When my makeup unnie and hairstylist finally finish, they both turn me around so that I can see my reflection in the mirror. My features are more defined with the eyeliner, bronzer, and lip liner that my unnie used. My hair, on the other hand, contradicts my makeup, looking more delicate than fierce. It’s perfect.

“Knock ‘em dead, (Y/N)-ah.”

“Yeah, show them how it’s done!” My hairstylist pats me on the back and gives me a reassuring smile. “You’re going to do great.”

“Thank you, unnies. Now, I better be off.” I say, standing up from my seat and exiting the room. Despite feeling more confident than ever, I can still feel the nerves coursing through my veins. Strange how some things work.

“Miss (S/N), please follow me.” A security guard says as he approaches me. He takes me back towards a dark area that is illuminated only by the faint glow of the tv that’s in the corner. A black curtain hangs in the front of the area, which I assume blocks me from both the stage and the eyes of everyone in the crowd. “Please stay here until your name is called. It should be about twenty minutes before you are to perform. Oh, and while you’re here and waiting, your manager wanted you to meet a few fans.”

“Okay, I will. Thank you.” I bow deeply to him. Once he leaves, I let out a long exhale, trying to get rid of all of the nerves welled up inside of my body. I close my eyes and take two more deep breaths. Deep breath in, deep breath out, deep breath in–

“Is that (S/N) over there?” I hear a voice ask.

“Oh my gosh, I think that is!” Another voice. How many are there? I open my eyes and look over to my right. I can’t tell who it is because of how dark it is, but I presume that it’s a boy and a girl based off of their voices. “She’s looking over at us. What do we do?”

“Hello? Come out to where I can see you please.” I call out to them. I see four figures step out from the shadows, two girls and two boys. “Oh, hi there! ? It’s nice to meet you. You must be the fans with the backstage passes, right? My name’s–”

“(Y/N). Stage name’s (S/N). It’s a pleasure to meet you. All four of us are incredibly huge fans of yours, and we love everything that you do!” A tall boy with two toned hair says. “My name’s Matthew.”

“Hi, I’m Somin. It’s so nice to meet you!” A pretty girl with blonde hair walks up to me and bows down in front of me.

“There’s no need to be so formal with me. Please, just treat me like you would with your friends.” I tell them. They’re being so polite with me. I know I’ve been in the entertainment business for six months, but it still feels weird to have people bow in front of me. Usually, I’m the one bowing down in front of them.

“My name’s Jiwoo and this is TaeHyung.” A girl with dirty blonde hair gestures towards a boy with dirty blonde hair.

“Well, it’s nice to meet all of you, and thank you so much for supporting me! It means a lot to me. I know a lot of idols say this all the time, but it’s true. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for you guys!” I flash them all the best smile I can manage right now. I’m still incredibly anxious about this upcoming performance. I hope I do well.

“Of course! You’re so talented and beautiful. How could we not?” Matthew says with a charming smile. I look over at TaeHyung. These two boys are really attractive. The girls are quite stunning as well!

“Thank you.” A faint blush appears on my face.

“Y-you’re really pretty.” TaeHyung finally says. These compliments mixed in with all of my nerves�� I feel like I’m going to burst.

Before I’m able to say anything, a loud voice says over the intercom, “the next performer is a young girl who debuted half a year ago. She’s been climbing the ranks rather quickly, and she’s caught the attention of some of the biggest names in kpop history. From dongsaeng to unnie, make some noise for (S/N)!” The crowd erupts into applause. I hear some people chanting my name over and over again while others are screaming as loud as they can. I let out another exhale. This is it.

“Good luck, unnie!” I hear a voice tell me. Looking over, I see Jiwoo smile at me with an encouraging performance.

“We know you can do it.” TaeHyung says.

“Yeah, you’re the best!” Somin looks at me with an award winning smile.

“Everyone knows how much of an awesome performer you are, so go out there and show them who’s boss! Don’t be nervous, just calm down and enjoy yourself out there, okay?” Now Matthew’s smiling down at me.

I let out a small laugh and nod at them. “Thank you, guys.” The curtain slowly starts to lift, revealing me to everyone in the crowd. I can hear the screams get louder the higher the curtain rises. I slowly start to walk further out on stage.

“Hey, and after all of this is over, do you think we can all hang out sometime?” I hear Somin call out after me.

I shoot the four of them a thumbs up while fixing my headset.

“You bet.”

But in reality the other members been teasing both the reader and Jiwoo cause they know they like each other. Just some pure fluff

Jiwoo🃏x Reader

Clueless line

Spring, what a good time in a year, you were so happy to celebrate the beginning of it with your members for once. None of you could go to your parent’s because of corona so you settled in a five people little celebration.

You were currently heading to the arcade in order to make today a special day, you had reserved the place for the five of you, pandemic necessity indeed.

Your goal for today was to beat the shit out of Jseph in every game since he promised to buy you food If you succeed. It was a tough task but you were confident in your abilities to win and get the best food ever because free food is good food.

The only difficulty was that if you end up being the one losing, Jseph made you promised that you’ll confess to Jiwoo, which wasn't just a tough task but actually a terryfing one. She’s been your friends for years now, you knew her preferences very well and were convinced you weren't one of them.

"Let's go people !!"

You had to put your hands over your ears in order not to be deafened because of BM’s excited screams. You swear he must have never grown up since middle school except in height.

You felt an arm wrapped itself around your shoulder and you didn't needed anything else to know who it was.

"Ready to loose ? I hope your speech for your girlfriend is ready, we wouldn't want you to stutter. "

Jseph was referring to a particularly awkward event which happened two weeks before. You swear those interviews where people ask you who you would date among your members would be the death of you one day.

Of course that interviewer decided to ask you first and your dumbass self couldn't figure out if you could say a same sex answer or not. So you started stuttering, eventually letting the 'Ji' of Jiwoo slip out of your mouth before changing it to 'Jseph'.

You cheeks had reddened so much that you had to hide your face behind Jseph because of embarrassment. He was smirking so much after this that you had to slap him a few times out of frustration. He knew what you wanted to say and was teasing you so much about using his name to cover up your real choice.

"I'm not going to loose anyway, so ready to pay Oppa ?"

As you two were chatting about how you would defeat the other, a slightly different conversation was taking place behind you.

"Look at them seriously, I don't think I can stand it the whole day."

"They're just chatting Jiwoo-ya, you really need to stop thinking they are a thing when they really aren't anything else but friends."

Jiwoo stopped in her track to look at Somin.

"She literally chose him as her ideal match."

Somin rolled her eyes before grabbing Jiwoo's arm to make her follow the group again.

"I swear your really clueless sometimes."

"What do you mean ? Clueless of what ? Her being in love with Jseph ? No I'm not, YOU are."

"You know what ? If you're so convinced about her liking him why don't you tried to seduce her and see what happened ?"

"She'll just turn me down."

"Perfect then you have nothing to loose. Let’s go."

Jiwoo would have answer that her dignity was at sake if she had the time but Somin didn't let her any and entered the arcade place.

Heaving a sigh Jiwoo followed the group, her brain already considering the idea of trying to seduce you. She had nothing to loose indeed not even her dignity.

So far you destroyed Jseph in every game, pacman included. He was sulking like a ten years old since you got to the restaurant area.

"I told you, you would have to buy me food oppa, hand over the wallet."

"No no no, no way I'm leaving on a defeat you have to give me one last chance. Let's play it at bowling, if you win I'll pay you food and a massage after every practice."

You considered it for a second before shaking his hand.

"Okay deal."

After finishing eating, all of you got to the bowling alley.

"Come on, that's your chance. Make her loose the game by distracting her, just trust me on this one."

Somin knew more than both you and Jiwoo together, Jseph told her about the bet and she was determined to make it the end of your hidden crushes on each other.

You were put in a team with Jiwoo while BM was on his own and Jseph and Somin were together. You haven't had time to argue that they already enter the teams' names on the screen and were ready to play.

BM named you 'Clueless line' after smirking at both of you devilishly. You thought it referred to her and she thought it was referring to you, another sign of how obvious both of you were.

Truth was that it was the name the trio use to talk about both of you since they found out you both had feelings for each other but none of you believed it was reciprocate.

Fast enough they dropped the subject and the pin sets started to fall. You weren't bad at bowling, however you're team was still last because Jiwoo couldn't hit a pin for her life.

Or rather she was faking not being good at bowling when she could actually easily get a strike. To be honest losing was painful even for her but she trusted Somin amd did her best to lose.

"Don't just be lame, distract her too."

Jiwoo rolled her eyes, she was too embarrassed to make a move on you either to seduce or distract you.

You were about to throw the bowl again when she got beside you, making you frown, not understanding what she was doing.

"Jiwoo step aside, I can't throw if you're that close."

She didn't listen to you and simply waited for you to play. You groaned from annoyance but you knew you couldn't just push her away so you prepared yourself to throw.

But as you were about to throw she grabbed your other hand in hers, making you shiver.

You turned around to face her, confused and flustered but she wasn't even looking at you. When you looked back at the alley as she was, you saw your bowl getting out of its trajectory and right into the gutter.

You pouted sad and annoyed because you were sure if she hadn't touch you, you would have got at least a spare.

"I'm going to win this game Y/N."

Jseph's comment made you even more mad at yourself for reacting like this to a simple touch from her. As you were sulking, Jiwoo took a look, amused by your grumpy face she pulled you out of the way. It was BM's turn.

Her hand did not let go of yours, even when she made you sit on the chairs she didn't take it back. She seemed to be comfortable that way, your hands on her crossed knees.

And she actually was, she was wondering how she waited that long to do a thing as simple as that. That's why she wanted to make it last, she wouldn't detached your hands if you don't.

As if you would dare, your whole time crush was holding your hand and as embarrassed as you were there was no way you were going to stop her from doing so.

Taehyung was cursing B.M. with all the bad words he knew. It was the other who had given the idea to play with Jiwoo’s artifacts and it was because of him they had lost one of them, so why does the Great Taehyung have to go alone search for it? Because it was him that lost in rock, paper, scissors this time…

The group of four were at the Earth Kingdom territory for some errands they had accepted. Today was a free day, so the girls went out to look around and the boys stayed at the camp to watch their belongings and to rest. And that was what they were doing… Until B.M. have the idea of exploring Jiwoo’s secret artifacts. Then the two of them started to play with the interesting tools.

The boys were amazed by the objects, so much that none of them thought that when they were shooting with a crossbow they had to go around gathering the arrows after, so the fierce girl didn’t notice what they did. When they realised that fact, they were already in a hurry to put everything into place.

J.Seph did what he could, bending the air so the arrows would levitate towards them but as they were counting, they noticed that two were missing. Now, if it was something from Somin, they could just say that she was the one who lost it and matter solved. But with Jiwoo… They were dead meat.

So… That’s the motive Taehyung was now in the situation he was at the moment, glaring at a small earth bender that had two arrows in their hand. Clearly they were his arrows, but the small human being just refused to give them back! And even yelled at Taehyung’s face that ‘finders, keepers’ excuse. To say that the air bender was pissed is an understatement.

“What do you mean you won’t let go of the arrows? They aren’t yours!” Although the earth bender was a cutie and J.Seph had to fight his instinct to flirt, the stubborn look on their face made him want to punch something. He tried to air bend the arrows back but the little thing was ahead of him.

“I said I won’t give them back! I found them! They are my master’s gift! If you want them back you’ll have to chop my arms off!” They stomped their feet and a huge rock raised between the two benders. “Why are you being so mean! I just want these two arrows! It’s not like I went to your camp to rob you! Just let me be!”

“No! Do you have any idea that my friend is going to kill me if she comes back and there isn’t the same amount of arrows on her things?! Do you?” He didn’t want to be mean with the cutie… He prefers to straight up throw some pick up lines but the situation was desperate for him. “Say, how about I give you something else to give to your master? I can buy you something or I don’t know… Please, I’ll do anything, just give the arrows back!”

“Anything?” The earth bender’s eyes shone and a smile appeared when J.Seph nodded, ready to cry. “Then… I have an idea.”

“So… That’s why you went to retrieve two fuel infused arrows and came back with a new crush?” Matthew’s laugh made Taehyung question his choice of being friends with him. “I mean, I totally get it but do you really think it’s a good idea having them travelling with us?”

“They threatened me by telling Jiwoo about the arrows if I just tricked them…”

“And you didn’t fight them?” B.M. studied his friend’s face. “You lost for the little one…” The taller was ready to restart laughing.

“Look, if you want them to tell Jiwoo, that’s okay, but you’re going down with me!” J.Seph’s face was bright red. The earth bender was a beauty with claws… But his words stopped B.M.’s laugh.

“Great! So we have a new travel buddy!”
