I shall protect my WIPs and not try to rules lawyer this genie:

I want the ability to automatically find the right song for whatever I'm writing. I have lost focus so many times because the music was not vibing right and then when I finally got it, I had to spend hours listening to it to get back in the mood. Auto-matching magic music player, pls.

I want the ability to kill with my mind any asshole that comes into a fic and goes "Um, actually, in CANON". Or if I'm not allowed to kill, can they just lose internet access? Forever? Yeet them into a void from which they'll never escape.

I want my old writing juju back. :C I used to be able to type out 10K a day without breaking a sweat but life keeps getting in the way now.

24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

I don't tend to do prep work for fic unless I'm collaborating in some capacity with someone else and therefore need to adapt my goddamn nonsense to another person's needs without putting them through hell. I tend to focus on specific scenes or moments and then just sort of start writing towards them, gleefully making it up as I go along. I've got practice at leaving myself narrative hooks that depending on mood, reception, inspiration and just general pacing, I can go back and lasso into becoming foreshadowing touches instead of just random bits of padding to make the story more cohesive. It's a skill that's pretty difficult to explain, but it's vital to be able to write long form chaptered fic without zero prep or side work, and not have your readers end up a mob with pitchforks because you accidentally lost the plot somewhere in the meandering.

I know how to do the outline and pacing and editing and stuff, but it takes a lot of work and I tend to not bother unless someone's gonna read it.

Hi, I'm yet another person coming to heap praise upon ye for the story of Thyme, I love it :D I'm sorry if this has been asked before (I tried looking on your blog but couldn't find it), but I'm not really sure why there had to be a time loop at all? Like I saw the stuff about how the prince's life isn't one Thyme should've lived, but I'm not sure what that has to do with the time loop. Why does Thyme have to keep going back to the past? Again, I love this story, that part of it just confused me a bit 😅

the loop is necessary because it’s a paradox, a closed loop. The witch only exists because thyme was sent back, and the king and queen only go to the witch because thyme was sent back, and thyme is only sent back because.... thyme is sent back. she cannot have become who she is if the loop breaks.

“Healer!” the captain called, Google limp and flopping in his hands like a stuffed toy. “Your mate’s lost his touch! Cold as a clam, eyes like a dead fish, speaking in tongues. I’ve seen nothin’ like it! Have ye a tonic for this?”

“Stop! Put him down, get away from him!” 

“Why, is the touch contagious?! I only be askin’ if he was alright!”

“What words did you use exactly?! Did you say -- ?” Edward bit his tongue. “N-Never mind! Captain, just stay back, stay silent and have the grace to look really, really sorry! Google, end Command Mode.”

As soon as Google’s eyes cleared, crimson light surged in them and he lunged, forcing Edward to catch him in a restraining embrace. “Google -- Google, listen to me, he didn’t mean it! Please give him a chance, please don’t hurt him, he’s just -- Let me explain it to him -- Whoa!”

Google steered Edward aside like he weighed nothing, free to stare the startled captain down with loathing. “Use words of caring to manipulate me, put your hands on me again, and I’ll see that you need prosthetic arms as well,” he snarled.

“His eyes!” Magnum burst out, agape. “Red as the devil, he is bewitched!”

“I told you to stay quiet,” Edward half-hissed, half-pleaded as he grabbed Google’s arm. “Please...Please, don’t hurt him. Let’s take a walk.”

Angst #2: “Please don’t cry.”

Both Eric and Illinois suffered nightmares. For different reasons, but it always a matter of time before one of them woke up in the middle of the night, screaming or crying or both.

This time, it was Eric.

When his eyes snapped open, he was already sobbing, tears soaking his face, sweat making his pajamas stick to his skin. Illinois’ arms were still wrapped around him, warm and comforting, and Eric rolled over to bury his face in his boyfriend’s chest, clinging to his shirt.

Slowly, Eric could feel Illinois stirring, probably because of how loud Eric was being. Guilt crashed into Eric’s chest, but that only made him sob harder, shaking and clinging to Illinois desperately.

“Nngh...Eric?” Illinois shifted a little, and his arm tightened around Eric, his hand shifting to cradle the back of Eric’s head. “...Another nightmare?” Eric simply nodded against his chest, and Illinois shifted a little more, sitting upright and holding Eric close, rocking him a little, cheek pressed against the top of his head. “Shhh....it’s okay, honey, please don’t cry...it’s okay, you’re okay, I’ve got you...”

It took a while to get Eric to stop shaking, to stop sobbing quite as loud, till he was simply resting against Illinois’ soaked shirt, still heaving in hiccuping breaths. Illinois just rubbed his back, humming softly, just...holding him close, till Eric was okay again. Only then did he pull back a little, pressing a kiss to Eric’s temple and smiling down at him. “...Better?”

Eric nodded, his grip loosening on Illinois’ shirt, and he tugged them both back down to lie on the bed, wrapping his legs around Illinois as well. “...I love you.” Eric’s voice was broken and hoarse from sobbing, half muffled by Illinois’ shirt, but he meant every word.

Illinois hummed softly, curling protectively around Eric. “...I love you, too, honey. Go back to sleep, hm? I’ll be right here when you wake up.”

“...Promise?” Eric’s voice broke again.

“Promise.”

This is barely related to the current train of thought on your blog rn but I love the little nicknames that Wil calls Dark. "Blackbird," "little ghost," there's probably others that I can't recall right at this moment, but they're so sweet and gentle and you just know that if anyone else called Dark those names he'd decimate them but when Wil does it it's good and lovely. Dark probably doesn't react on the outside to the nicknames but inside he goes :)

The decline of YouTube Rewind is so bizarre. It feels like one second they were so cool and so much fun to watch even if you wished so-and-so was in it, and then suddenly they stank. Like I remember watching the 2015 Rewind like a dozen times after it came out. Honestly 2015 is probably the best one of them all imo. Then 2016 was okay, 2017 was kinda underwhelming, and then bam. Sucktastic Rewinds two years in a row. At this point it feels like the magic is just gone :/

2014 was groundbreaking and it was like, a great concept! 2015 was cool because I saw my fave creators there and they reallllly got creative! And then 2016 you can kinda see it dwindling, and then 2017 was going there and then and then here we are now.

The magic is gone because I don’t think they grounded themselves anymore on who matters, which were the creators and the fans. It was about blasting everything with effects and memes that were literally outdated. It was so weird, yeah, to see it go down.

Oooooh, this would probably turn into an angst story! Tho it could also be a hilarious one xD

It would be about the Iplier egos, at first seemingly enjoying life. And Dark are enjoying life, relaxing from his hellbent plan to extract revenge against Actor. He wouldn’t feel the need to do it anymore.

But then strange things would start to happen. The other egos started to get hurt. In the beginning, it wasn’t anything bad. But as time goes on, the worse it gets. Until one day Dark comes back home from an errande and Edward meets him in the hall with the grim news that one of the egos are in coma. He would recover from his injuries, but Edward was unsure when he would wake up.

Dark gets furious, no one hurts his family like that, and starts to investigate who the culprit is. And when he finds them, they could only pray that Dark left them alive.
