There was something always on Sharon’s mind with how busy things had become around here, not to mention since Oz, Gilbert, and Alice were once again away from the house on a mission. Though, her mind soon became focused on other things as she saws his movements, eyes widening as he does the forbidden. 

“What are you-” She speaks, watching him swipe her cake and promptly plot it into his mouth without even giving her a chance to respond. It was very well known that Break had a strong sweet tooth, but surly he had enough manners to not just steal the food off of the plate of his lady without permission, right? Wait...this was Break she was talking about, someone who was rather inconsistent on acting proper. 

“Break...As to answer your question...” Her feet then move swiftly under the table to stomp on his own toes with the heels of her shoes, all while keeping that signature lady smile of hers. “I was going to finish that. Thank you so much for asking. Please, next time wait for my response before scarfing it down like an animal, okay? I shall have Reim bring me some more cake.”

The MANY Bloodlines of Constantine

Those Constantine is Danny's dad and sold his kid soul because he thought he'd actually never have one and Danny is now the Ghost King so his soul claims are invalid AUs but learns he's not Constantine only kid (after a while Constantine honestly 100% thought he'd never have kids and never bothered with a 1st born clause when making deals, maybe some annoyed deity or powerful magic user made Constantine think he can't have kids anymore just to get back at the conman) and now doing everything in his Kingly power to save his half-siblings (can be other teens from other shows or movies or cartoons etc etc) because Danny is the oldest of them and really really wants to punch his biodad for making such a huge mess he has to deal with but Danny does get to meet and protect his younger Half-siblings.

Then comes the day he's celebrating one of his half-sibs birthday with all the others when he's suddenly summoned out of the blue and meets not just the Justice League but his, and his half-sibs, no good soul selling biodad.

Hello rightly placed aggression.... Once he takes care of that powerful evil spirit that's attacking earth first of course.

I was just in the shower when something occured to me.

In Crystallized, right after Kai got his little sister back, he was dragged away to jail.

Do you know how devasting that must've been for him, to be taken from his sister before he even got the chance to hold her in his arms? To hug her and talk to her for the first time in, what, A YEAR?

Do you know how devastating it must've been for him, that Jay got to hold her and he didn't?

And don't even get me started on how he finally does get to talk to her and it's all just save the world business. No happy tears, no hugging, no “I'm so glad to have you back,” or “I'm so glad to be back with you.”

There was even a time where they were hiding away; where it was more calm. Kai and Nya could've gotten a chance then to have a true reunion, but instead it's all save the world talk AS USUAL and trying to flirt with Skylor.

PLEASE. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. CAN THE SIBS NOT HAVE ONE EMOTIONAL MOMENT TOGETHER EVER???

No but I actually almost cried over this. It's a miracle I didn't. I love Kai so much, he deserves better than this.

3. schneeblings - not winter mirroring jacque and slapping weiss while weiss holds a loaded gun to her brother's face, the kids are not ok someone check on the schneeblings

4. light/darkness - kinda awkward when your bickering traumatized a girl and her boyfriend so she tried to usurp your throne and then you ended up wiping out humanity haha

6. ruby/yang - for this month, we celebrate a girly who prioritizes true love while her sister is having a breakdown <3

10. alyx/lewis - when he's back, he turned around and waited for alyx but she never passed through. time moves on, he's gone but his hope for his sister to reunite with him lives on in a story where she comes home. in a world about fairytale, lewis wrote a story where his sister, flaws and all, is a hero. hands down, the only siblings that matter.

Jin Zixuan, Jin Guangyao, and their Opposite Trajectories

Listen, I never thought I would give a shit about Jin Zixuan but apparently I have Thoughts and I'm tired of this post sitting in my drafts. (This was literally the first MDZS post I ever started writing.) I give up.

The thought is (loosely) that their tragedies are opposite, not in source (piece of shit rapist dad, the Evils of Society, etc.) but in the like... the shape they make? I'm using the word "trajectory" but it's not quite right either.

Firstly, I'm reaching the point where I hate it when Jin Zixuan gets blamed for his own death. Being a dickhead as a teenager should not make it OK for your wife's sect brother to kill you with a zombie, even if that sect brother is much more charming then you.

Like he's not very nice and honestly the ass-kicking he got from Wei Wuxian in the Cloud Recesses was fully deserved. But a lot of the stuff we see him do in the background indicates that he values integrity and is trying to work out what it is and how to do it (badly)—even Soup Drama is about giving credit correctly. (Does it reflect badly on him for him to have been engaged to Jiang Yanli for so long and not know jack shit about her interests? Oh yeah. Is it him fucking up a social interaction trying to do the right thing? Also yes!) So he has zero social graces and is a big loser BUT from what he does he seems like a big loser trying to figure out how to be a good person in a hot mess of a sect.

There's also no reason to assume that he didn't sincerely love Jiang Yanli, given that he dies still trying to fulfill her desire to see Wei Wuxian. Who kills him!

Jin Zixuan's tragedy is that his actual promise—not the handsomeness or the wealth, but his ongoing semi-pathetic attempts to become a good person and do the right thing—is never fulfilled because he's cut down at, like, 20. By someone he's trying to do a favour for, to add insult to injury.

Jin Guangyao on the other hand...Jin Guangyao's tragedy is it seems like he starts out pretty decent and then gets all fucked up.

One of my Jin Guangyao frustrations is the way people who hate him read his future behaviour into his past behaviour. (This also happens to Jiang Cheng.) I don't think MDZS's final version of Jin Guangyao, who during his evil monologue announces that he has committed ancient Chinese peak crime bingo¹, is the same person as the Meng Yao who enters the narrative. He gets loaded up with formative trauma, exposed to a wild amount of violence, and then enters the Jin sect, where up is down, his "family" hates and abuses him, and he's only rewarded when he does evil deeds for his shitty dad, while publicly maintaining a facade of goodness and justice. That is a scenario designed to pickle this guy's brain in evil! That's a scenario basically designed to pickle anyone's brain in evil! He gets ping-ponged furiously from one trauma engine to another and comes out all fucked up and paranoid.

Anyway if he'd died at 20 instead of Jin Zixuan, he would have died lauded as a hero. Instead he's going down in sect history as the creep who murdered his father and married his sister, and it'll be blamed on his poor mom, who he revered and loved.

I guess the uniting factor is maybe the ways in which their promise was squandered by their father and their sect, although the specific details are different. Man, the Jin sibs are all so depressing. (I include Qin Su and Mo Xuanyu in that statement.)

I don't know that we're meant to take that completely literally—like some of the stuff he claims to have done he didn't do—but he certainly committed at least some of them. And omitted some other stuff that's also pretty bad, to be fair.

There’s ribbing, then there’s this.

It’s one thing that he may (or may not be, I dunno) be the un-favorite sibling of the trio towards the fans, but to get this from his own SIBLINGS has to hurt.

Ah crap. I forgot about this gem of a line…

This one isn’t as bad because the sibs do tease each other a lot, and to them it’s easier than just saying “I love you”. It’s like “show don’t tell” where you do see them get along but in their own way.

But then again, it came from the same episode where Yakko and Dot insult the crap outta Wakko at the beginning, and the reboot doesn’t do their sibling bonding justice (I mean we get background stuff like Yakko comforting Wakko during a storm in s1e13, but it’s stuff in the background mostly).

I wanted to share the prayer above. I wrote it many years ago. Injustice of every kind is running rampant. The anti-abortion ruling. The Miranda rights ruling. Lack of gun control. Violence against BIPOC. Violence against the LGBTQIA community, especially my trans sibs. The list goes on. I engage in political action for justice AND I pray to my deities. I hope my prayer brings people some comfort & the energy to keep fighting for justice.
