Barbarian!Bakugo is a little bit… obsessed with lactation.

No, it’s not a new concept to him—he’s seen mothers feeding their children before, in fact, hardly ever put a thought to it.

But now that it’s you, now that it’s his child… it’s interesting to him. Beyond interesting, really. That someone he loves and desires so carnally can provide an almost irreplaceable service, one he is incapable of replicating despite how much he wants to provide for the both of you.

And he’d want to be present for most feedings anyway, both to bond and help ease the parenting load off your shoulders… but the whole time, he can’t take his eyes off your chest, where the little one is latched so safely and happy, suckling away as he stares in a protective haze, in awe. Blinking when baby blinks, wincing when you wince, his hands balling into fists when you sigh and the soft fat of your bosom jiggles.

He’s shy, though. Shy to admit his fascination despite how he asks to touch you one night, after the babe has been fed, swaddled and put to rest, and then rubs his fingers so gently against your nipple it starts to leak.

Bakugo looks at you under thick lashes, no blush because he’s seen you naked endless times, was there for the birth, but hesitant, almost… to do more than feel your raw areola underneath the rough pads of his fingertips. Even if, no sooner, does he put a thumb into his mouth to taste the few, silken drops of milk that escaped onto his skin.

Also whenever I mention growing up poor for a while I mean like "my single income parent becoming unemployed after serious health issue, having serious legal debt because of a custody battle, bringing her heirloom jewelry to the pawn shop to afford to feed me, going to the soup kitchen to get vegetables, needing to rely on school funds to allow me to have textbooks and go on class trips". There are people who had it worse but it was not exactly fun. And thankfully it got better but this experience influenced the way I think about money and food to this day.

back from the barbie movie and I certainly have Thoughts on what the movie was doing but overall I do think it's worth seeing! it's fun

off-the-rack clothing sizes make me want to bite someone

#personal #WHY DO SO MANY BRANDS NOT SELL MENS XS SHIRTS #like. yes im a tiny dude i realize that #but im not exactly an outlier! if i went to a busy mall and people-watched for a bit id for sure see other guys my size #brands will put XS on their fucking size charts and then NOT MAKE ANY CLOTHES IN THAT SIZE #i shop in kids sizes sometimes to compensate but the problem is theres often not a good selection #OR the kids sizes wont go up big enough!! #and ill be right in the horrible void between standard size ranges #where do the teen boys shop. i dont believe that they all grow so fast they skip right into adult sizes #see: all those other small guys at the mall #actually what im pissed off about today is sewing patterns because THEYRE THE SAME #was looking online in preparation for a fabric store trip #like. i will be able to find something. but it might have to be a pdf pattern and im pissed off about it

i was vaguely aware that my family has all kinds of sensory issues, but never really thought about it until just now, four years into living with 🌸, i finally really processed that when 🌸 comes home, they not only don't have to immediately change into pajama shorts if it's at all hot out, they leave their socks on all evening

they generally prefer to wear socks, even if it's not freezing cold inside

meanwhile i had an incident recently where for the first time this summer i walked directly from work to a friend's house instead of my own house, realized i could not just fling off my shoes, socks, and jeans the second i got there, and had to go hide in her bathroom for a second so i didn't just burst into tears in the doorway

#like. once i accepted it i was mostly okay #and had enough cold water to let myself kind of adjust to the situation #but i am very psychologically dependent on the relief of finally not wearing socks every day esp in summer #and never really registered that many people just don't find it even a little excruciating to wear socks #not even like situationally excruciating. it just doesn't bother them at all #box opener #my mom and brother both hate socks as well! i thought socks were just hateful to all! #like yes my mom is very fervent about changing into sweatpants as soon as she gets home #and can't tolerate earrings for more than four hours at a time #and my brother.... needed tagless clothes his whole childhood and could only wear one ultrasmooth brand of kid socks #but. why would i draw any inferences from that. about ways we might deviate from the rest of the population
