have you read ‘kim ji-young, born 1982’ ?

i just watched the movie based on it and i can’t stop crying. I read that this book was what launched the 4B movement in korea. So i wanted to see it because it takes a lot to radicalize the average woman. No matter how much evil men do, the average woman tries to believe in men’s humanity. So the fact that this book alone radicalised so many women made me think it had to be phenomenal. And it was. I cried a lot. I think every woman should watch it before getting married. There’s no words to explain this movie. It’s painful to watch because it’s relatable but i think every girl should watch it so she doesn’t fall into men’s trap.

This drama will definitely not be for everyone. It’s very melodramatic, it’s very soapy. Every character is basically an blackmailing cheating asshat so it’s hard to choose who you want to root for. It’s basically one of those dramas you want to stop watching but can’t seem to 🤷‍♀️

i think the movie for kim jiyoung is better than the book. The movie did portray the husband as kinder ( but for a radfem, you’d still be able to see that he’s a pos because radfems are more aware of the misogyny in the tiniest things) while in the book he’s completely ignorant of her struggles. But the movie did a better job at portraying her frustrations and the numbness and emptiness she feels. You’d feel so much rage and sadness after watching the movie. It’s definitely not for the weak hearted. After watching the movie i cried so hard that my eyes were puffed up like a balloon.

hmm since I didn't yet experience either I have no idea what you're talking about but I'll probably find out soon! I'll write my opinions then.

Is there graphic violence against women in that movie though? Because I do need a warning for that, I can't stomach it.
