Completed watching Kotaro lives alone

And it just....is so, heart wrenching?

It's so full of emotions

And it makes you realise about the reality of the world in a bitter way?

How small kids perceive things, what a minute action can mean to them, how trauma affects a kid, and their innocence and trust through it all.

I know it's an anime, and the real world is different. But it's also somehow the same? The cruel parts and the nice parts?

Karino is a kind, warm human

It's difficult in reality to find people who would do what he did for Kotaro

And even if you do find them, and they want to help you, they usually can't because of their own schedule.

There were just too many parts within this anime which made me feel a little too many things. I don't know if people actually do such things to their children, but if they do, I'd just idk. I'd be really heartbroken. Kotaro eating tissues at some point. Kotaro's mom wearing gloves whenever taking care of him.

It's not clearly stated about what happened w Kotaro and his parents, why his dad was like that, what happened to his mom, his dad hiring detectives to find his location just so he could abuse him again?, Kotaro going through all of that and running away from home and living on his own

This anime is....so bittersweet.

I like how Kotaro has his own small family, I feel a little sad seeing him wish for his mom and dad and his motive to become stronger so that he could live with his dad again.

I feel sad seeing his trauma regarding the way he was treated

And I know it's something many people have gone through and still go through and sadly will continue to go through, because the world really is as cruel as it is okay.

But. Such a bittersweet anime. It's 10 episodes but I'm just happy and sad.

I've watched the entirety of kotaro lives alone 3 times this week, and I have confirmed that I'm in love with Karino

It’s obvious that you would be inspiration for a character in his manga or inspiration for a whole new manga all together. He loves you so much <3

Speaking of his manga, he lets you proofread and give him constructive criticism as he works. And when he was given his own manga series, you were a big help in making sure he was taking care of himself, and even worked on some of the pages yourself.

During the Summer Festival, you were more than happy to help out, running a drink stand and assisting wherever needed. Shin greatly appreciated it and showed you afterwards. (Take that as you will)

His love language is quality time and acts of service. Though he is not opposed to physical touch.

Expect to be mistaken for a family when you and Shin are out with Kotaro. Although you already consider yourselves family, it’s embarrassing when people say things in public.

Kotaro loves you sososo much. If it’s just the two of you because Karino’s busy, he loves to hold your hand when you walk him to and from school.

Kotaro also feels so much better than he ever has, having a mother figure in his life that truly cares about him. He loves when you wash his hair at the bathhouse or help him get dressed or tuck him in before heading back to your apartment next door.

He definitely thinks of you and Shin as his parents, but he will take that to the grave.

LOTS of Girls Nights with Mizuki!! Spa days, binge-watching the newest drama, all that fun stuff. And she LOVES to pamper you^^. Whether it’s doing your hair or makeup or dressing you up, she loves it. It’s like having a sister. (you are also fully prepared and willing to fight her boyfriend.)

On the other hand, Takei likes to chill out with you, whether it’s going out for dinner and/or drinks after work, or simply walking home with you. She definitely lectures you if you don’t separate your garbage and recycling…

Tameru is honestly jealous that Karino got you… he thinks you’re vv pretty. He’s a respectful man and despite his slight sadness, he doesn’t do anything to try to sabotage your relationship with Karino. He’s happy for you, and will show you his affections as often and professionally as possible. Probably by taking out some of the people who bother you too much :)

I was looking for tissues online

And I suddenly remembered this scene from Kotaro lives alone

Where how there's this particular part suggesting that Kotaro had to eat tissues for sometime, and which is why he still buys high quality expensive nutrients tissues

And then the manga artist guy tells him that he no longer needs to buy those tissues anymore and then his realisation

And my heart just kinda you know? Felt a tinge remembering that.

It's such a minute thing, but it's not.
