I met some of the ghosts and gave my print of the Captian and Havers dancing in the style of JC Leyendecker. I also got to see their costumes and talk to Martha and Larry. It was an awsome event where I got to meet some other lovely ghosts fans and even give them cards of my art!!

Ben was first in line, so he saw the prints and I asked him to sign one of them. He also signed the book while I was telling him about the painting and giving him his own copy. I told him that I liked him in Me and You (because I cannot stop myself) and double science (which is a radio drama he wrote and starred in from like 2008) and he LIT UP when I mentioned double science (see below)

And then I was going to talk to Martha but the person in front of me was still talking to her and then Larry got a look at the print in my hand (because we didn't want Ben's signature to smudge) and he was like "Wow, that's amazing, did you paint that?" and he took it from me to have a look at it before giving it back, and then I told him that my favourite minor Yonderland character was Kendall, and he was like, oh, yes. And that I also really liked his elder character, especially the "if I would have known how loud winning would be, I would have chosen a different side" and "Oh, and I want to be a woman." Truly icon behavior, and he seemed to agree with me.

And that was how i spent an incredibly special 3 minutes of my life. It was kind of a hard day, being back in London for the first time since 2020, but they made it all better. I wish I could have met Martha properly, but seeing them all smile made it all worth it.

How you meet and realizing you like them | The group chat.

I love the GC and I like reading Fics about them, so I want to contribute. This is my first-time doing publishing on Tumblr, so it probably won't be the most organized. I am open to criticism or requests. I desperately need guidance.

This is going to be broken up into different parts because this was originally almost 5,000 words but tumbler will only let me post so much at a time.

you had met isaac back in 2020 when you and some friends decided to go into discord servers and expose pedos. your friend had told you to hop on a server thinking it was with creeps but ended up being a couple of people doing the same thing as you. you all had a laugh and traded information on which servers had what type of weirdos were in. After that night you and isaac had messaged each other here and there about being in his discord videos which you had no problem with due to want to collab with other youtubers, and some years later asked you to be apart of a group with him and your guys mutual friends called the group chat.

Sometime had passed and you, isaac, tanner, larry, nick, yumi, and grunk all made a podcast and even moved into one big house all together. You had decided to stream watching random videos on the internet and just generally talk with chat. " I know that we've been watching meme comps chat but we need to add some spice to our night or I feel empty handed when I end the stream.... well besides leaving with your hard earned money that you donated i'll be empty handed". After saying that everyone started to type anything and everything that came to their minds, but something caught your eye "Have you or isaac read the fic about yall??" you said reading the chatter's comment. You immediately start googling for what this insane person was talking about, and after muttering to yourself about why isaac and you of all people out of the group you find it. "I'm sorry to chat but i need to know and besides one of you recommend it" you start reading it out loud. The story read of you and Isaac slowly falling for each other. "Chat who made this, I want you to reveal yourself so you can be shunned from the village" you bursted out with laughter at some of the parts in the fic but you had to admit, this author knew too much. yeah it's true that you started to like isaac but you knew nothing could ever happen because you work together but you have to admit he had a nice physic and was extremely funny, but still nothing could ever happen. After 30 more minutes of stream you decided to end the stream because you were getting too red from laughter and embarrassment from the fic; you said goodnight to your viewers and thought that no harm would come from a fan's artwork about you and your friend. turns out you were wrong. The next day you were bombarded with fan accounts and edits of you and isaac from past videos. you're scrolling through some of the comments of the edits and something catches your eye.

you couldnt believe what you just read; Did he really like you too?, how long has he liked you?, what would the others think?, could you two be together?. Your mind was left with a lot of questions but you had come to terms with it. You like Isaac.

you had been making music since you were five when your parents got you a fisher price piano. you've just fell in love with your hobby and wanted to make a career out of it, that's when you decided to put your name out there as a singer/rapper. You didn't have a voice like sza but it was good enough to make a living off of it, and it was better when you would pair it with your genius lyrics. It was a nice Sunday afternoon when your music producer Kenny called you to come into the studio and that there as some people, he wanted you to meet and collab with. you had seen that your producer was in the booth with three dudes and a camera? Your producer has seen you looking through the booth glass and gestured for you to come in and met the people he was talking to. There was a tall guy with a hat, sunglasses, and a black mask, there was a shorter guy with shoulder length hair that was pointing everywhere. The two guys were pretty good looking but the third piqued your interest; he was around 5 '10 with a nice build, it was very obvious that he spent his time at the gym. “This is y/n they are in the same business as you three” your producer presented with a big smile on his face. “It's really nice to meet you, Kenny convinced us that you would sound the best on our new single” you shook the gym guy's hand noticing the tattoo of a long spiky line wrapping around his arm. You got so distracted looking at the guy's arm and everything else he had that you didn't hear your producer calling your name “y/n you can't let go of nicks hand now i think he knows you now” you dropped nicks hand realizing how long you just held his hand without him saying anything. “All right let's get to work people, isaac would you be a doll and do your verse first so y/n can get the flow of the song and see what they need to do”. 

It took the whole day for you guys to actually record the song. With larry making funny faces while the nick and isaac where in the middle of their verses and make them laugh so you would have to start back from the beginning then you would issue were either you or the others would have a hard time saying a word right or you went faster or slower than the beat then it was start back at square one. A miracle had happened; you all got through the song with no hiccups and were able to send it out to an editor for some final touches. You had grabbed your stuff and walked out to your car so you could finally go home and let your dog out. You almost got to your car when your arm was grabbed, you wiped your head around so fast to see who you were going to have to beat the shit out of. “I'm so sorry i shouldn't have grabbed like i was going to kidnap you or something but i was shouting your name but you just kept on walking” Thank God it was just nick and not some creep. “oh no no you're okay i was just surprised is all, so whats up?” “I was wondering if i could get your number or maybe your insta so you could be a feature on some of our future stuff, you were awesome like kenny said and i want to keep you around”. It was nothing but two seconds of silence before Nick took back his words “i didn't mean it like that i just mean like your killer and it would be great if you got to do more with me…..not with just me just in general with music. Fuck you get what im trying to say right” “yeah i get what you mean” you said breaking a smile to make him feel less embarrassed “here just put your number and insta in, so we can do more stuff”. He took your phone for a minute to put all is information and handed it back to you with a puppy dog like smile. Dog? “OH, SHIT RALPH” you had forgotten about your poor baby at home “I'm sorry Nick but I have to go!” nick had tried to say something, but you were already in the car and backing out of your parking spot. ‘Whose ralph?’ nicked thought as he watched you leave the building “NICK GET YO UGLY ASS IN THE CAR I WANT TO GO HOME” Larry shouted hanging out the back of the car window. Nick spent the whole night trying to find a ralph in your following list on Instagram, but he had no luck and decided that he didn't care who your mystery man was he was better than this ‘ralph’ character and that he was going to win you over.

Hey! I’m the anon who asked how touring works. Thank you for such a great explanation! Really appreciate you taking the time.

I’m a Louis fan…wasn’t previously into 1D (am now!) but I found solo Louis first. Can I ask you what makes you so sure Louis is gay? I’m not challenging this in anyway…I guess I just wanted thoughts from someone who has been around all of this a lot longer. I saw the anon saying they read that Simon knew Louis was gay etc right from the start and you responded (beautifully, I might add) but do you really feel certain he is?

Like I say, I’m newer to all of this. I’m a Louis fan first and foremost and I honestly didn’t know about Larry until I got into Louis so this has blown my mind a little. I know there are various receipts about this and fans feel that Louis is loud at his shows but I’m just not sure!

Looking back at his early, early days when he got onto xfactor he seemed to be playing it ‘straight’ - had a girlfriend, ladding a lot with his mates. There are even reports from his school days saying he treated kids that were out at his school badly - I guess that could be part of him being confused and not accepting how he felt until he met Harry?

Hello angel!! Love to see you here and being curious on everything. I’ll pop in my two cents as well, but here are some excellent larry timelines and resources to, well, help with the whole reason we believe in larry.

Now, let’s get down to what I think from being here from the beginning.

I watched louis and Harry fall in love. Even from very early on, it is painfully obvious that they acted very differently around the other boys. The fond eyes at each other, the PDA, the full comfort at acting so domestic and touchy with each other that even I don’t look at and touch my bestie like that, and I’m a very touchy and affectionate person. So, heading down the rabbit hole, I’m gonna give you some really strong gifs for reference, and then tackle the louis notes you made. There are a heap of different larry resources on tumblr, so I won’t go through an insane amount, and just keep this concise.

Re your comment about louis playing it straight, him and Harry were immediately acting like a couple. I’ve had some lad friends, and they certainly don’t look at each other like the above, nor fake make out with each other, bc yikes, that would make you look gay, and why would he want his lads to think that? He was immediately thrown into the public eye, very quickly got a heap of fans, and wasn’t exactly keeping his guard up to make sure he didn’t look gay in front of a global audience. I’m sorry, I’ve just never seen him act like this with anyone except Harry. He jokes around with the other guys, sure, but if you go through those masterposts and videos, it’ll become very clear that he just couldn’t keep himself from Harry. Even during the video diaries and X factor, from the very beginning, he was touching Harry all the bloody time. Regardless if they weren’t blatantly kissing on camera (as advised not to), you can see the affection and how natural it looks. It just kinda happened. I just don’t see him acting like a lad during X factor as you said, and not sure where that idea came from, but I promise you that there’s a lot of proof of him being quite flamboyant and expressing himself in the manner of how many gay men do. That’s not me stereotyping, whatsoever, but the things he said and the way he acted with Harry, don’t line up with straight to me.

Now, I feel like if you’ve come into the Larry/1d world with Solo Louis being your first experience, this can all be super overwhelming and intimidating and very very strange hahaha, because he presents himself quite differently now (but the matching tattoos are still there xx) and you haven’t been here for all the stunts and the beginning of bbg and all that. Also, the Solo Louis fandom holds an overwhelming amount of people who are anti larry and therefore anti larries (including the person who took a poster to louis’ concert that said “larries mass extinction” on it… yikes), so you can often be fed a lot of misinformation. Whereas here in this beautiful community on tumblr, and even on Twitter, I never see any larries going out of their way to send horrible messages to antis. They really love coming into our inboxes though (god knows how many “you should unalive yourself”) messages I’ve received from antis since I’ve been a larrie), and actively telling us we’re trash, so they tend to try to make us look as horrible as possible, including, spreading misinformation about Louis.

Now, I don’t know where the receipts are about young louis treating gay kids horribly, so if you could provide them to me, I’d absolutely be happy to look into them and verify (to the best of my ability) if they’re real or not, but spoiler alert, I very much doubt they have any validity to them. We never knew louis when he was at school, so you’d have to just trust this person who’s saying louis is homophobic (which so many anti louis/anti larry fans do), but also, growing up in a place like Doncaster around that time, I imagine it was extremely taboo to be anything other than a straight laddy lad who played footy and had a gf.

If louis had figured out his sexuality prior to meeting Harry, and knew he was gay or maybe bi or at least curious, I highly doubt he would’ve come out in that space at that time of his life. Growing up gay is harddddd. Teenagers are so mean. And trying to fit in is important when you’re a kid just trying to figure everything out.

Now, not saying that louis did this, but in my experience, I watched a few kids who now have come out as gay pick on others in school who were out. Some of the bullying got really bloody bad, and it was all to just shut out their own feelings, and pushing away any ideas that they were anything but straight. It happens a lot, it’s insecurity, it’s feeling extremely uncomfortable with who you are, peer pressure, and maybe a family who would kick your ass if you came out to them. It’s a very hard thing to navigate.

I honestly think they will end bg and just rely on the concept of ‘he thought it was his kid = he’s straight’. That is a gp, non serious fan thought process. They’ve actually been fairly careful in not having a really current pic of the boy out in the public sphere. It’s only with in fandom that you are seeing a ‘current aka photoshopped’ image. The kid is entering an age where they go on sm & can read, so T is going to have to start removing stuff & it would probably raise a few ? With stans.

So I want to be clear, I do think they are going to end BG. I just don’t think they will end BG until Louis (and Harry) decide to come out. As I told some of my friends today these are my two working theories.

That said your take is entirely valid! As I’ve answered anons before, I come to my conclusions based on understanding and respect for people who are closeted, as well as have been here for awhile. I think for Louis the definition of bg ending is when HE no longer has to deal with it, like 2018-2020. It can still exist in the background but HIS participation is what he is trying to minimize. The Clarks were free to be extra and annoying and he didn’t care because HE WASNT DEALING WITH IT! And then covid happened and Briana almost got sued and he had to go clean shit up.

So I think, for Louis, his goal right now is to just… not interact with it anymore. For him that would be BG ending. (For the record during 2018-2020… a decent amount of fans accepted that it was over. Like we were more than happy to just let it fade into the background, maybe it got announced when he dropped an album, but otherwise it was just in a holding pattern of… Louis not interacting and the Clarks being obnoxious) he doesn’t have to make a big announcement, it just fades away.

And it’s important for it “fade away” to maintain the closet because tbh… larries can be fucking obnoxious. And loud. To the point I am not convinced that there is a way to end BG and not expose Louis’ closet, via larries being annoying and media reporting being what it is, aka picking up on trending tags and Twitter/IG/tiktoks… like we got Buzzfeed to write about BG back in 2016 because of how much we were talking about it. And in this day of conspiracy theories and what not… there’s a good chance people would drag this up. Which again, is why Eleanor leaving makes me think Louis is holding onto BG instead as the “door” to his closet or whatever.

Happy to be wrong! These are just my thoughts but at the very least I hope you can see why I came to these conclusions!

ok there are so many little things so i’m sorry if i contradict myself here but it’s a major cover story by a prominent writer, of course it’s not going to give larries any love! and that’s for the best- press about us never goes well. but that doesn’t mean anyone should feel weak or guilty. we are not a monolith and can’t account for individual behavior which of course includes the whole gamut of feelings and some young people making silly public mistakes 

twitter is a wonderful space for finding like-minded people. i’m so happy to be here, and i do not find any satisfaction in participating in hateful or mean girl behavior. there are many people who are still learning how to be held accountable for their public views but it’s not worth

when we talk about queerbaiting we forget the context of its cultural birth- in shows and movies that played up romantic and sexual undertones between characters of the same sex to INSINUATE queerness without ever seeing it through to ACTUAL representation

famous examples are all the 2010-era tumblr favorites, sherlock probably chief amongst them in terms of heavy, heavy implication of codependent romantic feelings between the two leads

supernatural also comes to mind- huge community of castiel & dean shippers, until, in season 15 and the year of our lord 2020, castiel confesses his love in one scene and phew, you know the show beat the queerbaiting allegations by asserting he was gay all along!

the other big example for me is the social network (2010), where jesse eisenberg and andrew garfield intentionally capitalized on romantic undertones to explain the characters motivations and boy oh boy did we notice.

andrew garfield has had queerbaiter allegations leveled for a long time, and thats where the breakdown of barriers between fiction and fanfiction began culturally, in my eyes. the rise of "queerbaiting" went hand-in-hand with the argument that queer people should play queer roles

regardless of andrew garfield's actual sexual orientation (as of latest, heterosexual), he is a talented actor who knew that accessing romantic motivations for scenework made them much more compelling. but is that not the exact definition of queerbaiting as i described above?

regardless, i have found reading this piece immensely insightful and reflective of the problems at the heart of insinuated and extratextual queer romance between real people (and the joys of observing such things and processing them in fiction)

Rubbing her eyes tiredly, (Y/n) slowly climbed the stairs leading to the Museum Natural History. Mentally preparing herself for a long work night. “Hey (Y/n).” Larry chimed cheerfully at her as she entered the locker room. “Hey Larry.” She offered a tired smile before shrugging off her bag. “Didn’t sleep well?” He asked as he slipped on his uniforms jacket. “I got about an hour and a half.” She sighed before opening the first of many energy drinks of the night. “Hey why don’t you take it easy tonight; I’ll worry about the rounds.” Larry offered. “I’d love to, but McPhee asked me to focus on getting all the crates that were transferred her this morning to their designated areas. I’ll be alright, but thanks for the offer.” She smiled as she slipped on her own jacket, following Larry out of the locker room. “I could do that for you.” Larry offered with a smile. “No, it’s alright.” (Y/n) smiled before she continued. “Once I’ve finished that, I promise I’ll try and get some rest.” She assured knowing Larry probably wouldn’t let up anytime soon. “Okay just don’t push yourself.” He patted her shoulder lightly before he made his way upstairs, both of you making a quick sweep of the museum, making sure no one was there after hours. Once the doors were locked, and the sun was set. (Y/n) made her way to the loading docks, preparing to move the crates, and open any that might have a living creature inside. By the time (Y/n) opened the door to the loading docks, the museum was coming to life. Smiling to herself as the idle commotion began to fill the museum, (Y/n) accidently let the door slam shut behind her, flinching at the loud bang it caused. Not a moment later knocking rang from almost all the crates, followed by muffled voices. Sighing softly (Y/n) grabbed a crowbar and set to work, prying the first crate open as fast as she could. “Thank you.” A familiar French voice called out to her as she pulled the crates lid out of the way. “You?!” He ogled in astonishment still sitting within the crate. “Hi Napoleon.” She offered her hand assisting him out of the crate. “Um thank you (Y/n).” He cleared his throat awkwardly. “You’re welcome.” She smiled before pointing to the door she came from. “Go through there, and mingle I guess.” She shrugged before walking over to the next crate. “Oh okay… It… It’s good to see you under better circumstances.” Napoleon fiddled with his hands, feeling a bit nervous. “Yeah… It’s good to see you to.” (Y/n) smiled softly before turning her attention to the next crate, unaware that Napoleon hadn’t left. With a huff (Y/n) pried open the first corner, nearly jumping when Napoleon spoke. “Would you like some assistance?” He smiled nervously when he realized he had startled her. “Oh, I’m okay, I’m just being a little dramatic is all.” She chuckled before prying open the next corner. “Thank you though.” She added as she hulled the lid from the crate, chuckling at the sight of an almost bewildered looking Ivan. “(Y/n)?” He sat up dusting off his clothes. “Hello Ivan.” She offered her hand, helping him to keep his balance as he climbed out of the crate. “Napoleon?” His frown deepened at the sight of the Frenchman.

Ignoring the two as they talked (Y/n) worked on the next crate, whimpering under her breath almost inaudibly, when her hand slipped, and she cut her palm on the crowbar. But being the stubborn woman she is, she ignored the pain and got back to work, her blood making a little bit of a mess as she worked. “(Y/n) you are bleeding?” Ivan pointed out as she opened the crate. “I’m okay.” She smiled before looking down into the crate. “Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes.” Al smirked up at her, his eyes bulging a little when she allowed the lid to slam shut in his face, not even giving him a chance to sit up. “Who is it?” Napoleon asked as he and Ivan approached her. “Capone.” She drawled out broadly, crossing her arms as Al opened the lid himself. “Aye what’s the big idea!?” He huffed in annoyance as he hopped out of the crate. “Last time I seen you, you slapped my ass. I think what I did there was pretty justified.” (Y/n) huffed before picking the crowbar back up, moving to the last crate that had someone inside. “I was only playin dollface.” Al’s smile washed away when he noticed her bloody hand. “What happened?” He grasped her hand before she could start working on the crate. “My hand slipped, I’m fine.” She pulled her hand back with an annoyed huff, quickly prying opening the first corner. “Let me.” Al attempted to take the crowbar, but (Y/n) snatched it away. Being even more stubborn in her tired state than normal. “I’m fine.” She huffed again before working on the second corner. “I know your fine baby, I just thought I’d lend a hand.” Al teased making (Y/n) roll her eyes just as she pried the corner open. No one expected the crate to fly open with force, but Al was quick to pull (Y/n) behind him when he realized who it was. Kahmunrah sprung out of the crate with his sword in hand, glaring at the men, as Napoleon and Ivan moved to stand next to Al, blocking Kahmunrah from (Y/n). “Get out of my way.” The Egyptian hissed, planning on attacking (Y/n). “Ain’t gonna happen.” Al growled as he pulled his pistol from his jacket, aiming at Kahmunrah. “Hey (Y/n) how’s everything going in here?” Larry asked as he entered the room, halting in his tracks, Ahkmenrah and Lancelot following him. “Brother.” Kahmunrah growled, while Lancelot unsheathed his sword. “(Y/n) get out of here, we’ll deal with this.” Larry called out to her, relaxing a little when she listened without protest. “Be careful.” She murmured to Ahkmenrah as she passed, who in turn offered her a reassuring smile. “Where are you going?” Larry asked Al, who was following (Y/n). “To bandage up her hand.” He tossed over his shoulder, before exiting the room.

“(Y/n) wait up.” Al called out as he jogged to catch up with her, pleased when she waited for him. “Can I help you?” She cocked a brow at him as he approached. “Actually, I wanna help you.” He smiled at her, taking ahold of her injured hand once more. “Oh.” (Y/n) muttered under her breath, feeling a little guilty for being so hostile. “There’s a first-aid kit in the locker room.” She pointed in the direction of the locker room, fighting back a smile when Al whisked her up into his arms. “What are you doing?” She couldn’t hide her smile, giggling softly when he winked at her. “You’re to injured to walk on your own.” He teased with a smile, relishing in the fact that he made her laugh. “Oh please.” She rolled her eyes playfully, her arms wrapping around his neck as he walked. Once they entered the locker room, Al placed (Y/n) down on top of a nearby desk. “It’s on the top shelf of the locker without a door.” (Y/n) pointed to the locker, watching Al retrieve the kit with a faint grin. “I’ll be gentle.” Al winked before setting to work on her hand, chuckling softly when she softly punched his shoulder with her other hand. “You’re terrible.” She snickered shaking her head, before a somber feeling washed over her. “Hey Al.” She muttered softly, only getting a small hum from the gangster. “I’m sorry for being so hostel… It was a bit uncalled for. It’s just I’m running on fumes here, and I allowed my temper to get the better of me.” She sighed before closing her eyes, the weight of her exhaustion weighing heavily on her. “Hey look at me.” Al muttered while holding her jaw in his hand. “It’s okay, no harm done.” He assured her with a small smile before pecking her forehead. “Promise?” She bit her lip feeling silly for asking this of him. “Promise.” He chuckled merrily before focusing on her hand again. After Al finished patching her up, (Y/n) made her way back to the loading dock. Explaining that she still had to get the crates to there designated areas. “Let me help you.” Al insisted determined to help her so she could rest. “Da.” Ivan agreed as he and Napoleon approached them. “Larry told us what you had to do, and we want to help.” Napoleon explained making (Y/n) smile. “Alright.” She agreed feeling like this was the beginning of an interesting friendship.

Like so many people when the pandemic occurred in March of 2020, we felt compelled to adopt. Knowing that we would be home more, it seemed the opportune time to add to our little family. On the last day the St. Paul location was open I stood in line to meet two piggy brothers. The two weren't meant to be adopted together, as another woman wanted just one pig. I adopted a white pig that we named Harold that day, with the hope that someday he would have a pig brother again. Harold is bold, loud, funny, fast, and kind of hyper. Harold has a big personality. After being the only pig for about a year, we decided to make an appointment in Golden Valley to meet more pigs. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived for the appointment, all the pigs had been adopted — or so we thought! The woman at the desk advised us that there were a couple pigs that hadn't yet made it to the adoption floor; she asked if we wanted to meet one. She brought Larry in and he melted right into my lap, just like he was meant to be with us. Larry is the complete opposite of Harold — in color and in personality. He is quiet, mellow, slow, inquisitive, and while he often can't find his food in front of his nose, he knows how to escape. When he escapes, he meanders over to Harold's cage where they can be found cuddling together. Larry and Harold complement each other so nicely. They are friends and they make happy little chirbling noises when they talk to each other. They enjoy lounging in the grass (in their own little fenced in area), they also have their own fenced pig garden that they look forward to checking out. They enjoy their playtime together. And sometimes they even enjoy snuggling with their humans (usually they are much more excited to wander around the couch or our shoulders!) The two have been perfect additions to our family. They are two pigs living the good life, for sure! Thank you to Animal Humane Society for the privilege to adopt these two.

I tweeted this a month ago.. i had this strong feeling that dec will be crazy for us larries.

And look where we are at now.. my twitter timeline is a war zone. People unlarry over liam’s live and others larrie over an H t-shirt. A war between antis and larries.

Also how Harry Styles™️ is portrayed to the gp and all this branding of TPWK. I feel like this will have a negative effect on Harry’s image to the gp.

Eleanor being a full-time instagram influencer now, making deals with brands. Suspecting a bua very very soon. Sooner than feb 2021.

Louis is being suspiciously loud in his live concert. coacoac ???? Can he be any more obvious???

Babygate is a lost battle... antis keep fighting a lost battle. They should just shut up by now and let the inevitable happen.

Oh and back to Harry. I feel like he got himself into another 1DHQ type of management. It’s like history repeating itself with him. Pushing the womanizer image and the unlabelled yet untouchable divine image. Dehumanising him, if I may say. Making him more of a brand than a human.

In Liam’s live he said something about “still being in one direction” after talking about 5SOS . Usually he has Connor with him while doing lives, this time we’ve been introduced to a new “monitor”, aka Joel ?? Maybe 1D related? Because in his previous lives he usually avoided any 1D related questions or answered them neutrally. But this time with Joel his answeres were targeting a specific group. And we all know the chaos of Belfast 2.0, cancelling his live only to come hours later with “technical difficulties” familiar?

No Judgement – Alternative Music Video

Niall’s No Judgement Alternate music video depicts what appears to be a family, but if you break down the sequence of events, you notice something a little deeper going on under the surface.

In this video, we see three pairs of people (they appear to all be members of one nuclear family) go into a walk-in closet and dance around inside, trying on clothes and dancing together. My theory is that each pair may represent three closeted couples. One of these couples is Niall and Shawn, known as Shiall.

This is a long discussion so I’ll put the rest under the cut.

The first pair is the brunettes, one older girl and a younger boy (whom I had presumed was a girl in the beginning). One is obviously the baby in the family, and he is the one who convinces the older girl, presumably the older sister, to go into the walk-in closet. It’s these two who begin pulling clothes off of the hangars and trying them on. They are together dancing in the closet. Then we flash over to a scene of the two frolicking together on the lawn outside.

The next pair to appear is supposedly the parents. The ‘mother’ is a blonde woman and the man is tall and black-haired, possibly hispanic. They find the two girls in the closet which is now a hurricane of clothing and wind up joining the two kids in dancing around in the closet together. They then try on clothes and hats, many of which the kids had been seen wearing previously, before we then flash over to see the four of them dancing together outside on the lawn.

Finally, the third pair comes and they are both boys. One is blonde, and the other has dark hair. The same sequence of events happen; the boys join the rest of their family in dancing around in the closet before we see the six of them dancing together outside on the lawn.

My interpretation:

I believe the dancing around in the closet segment of the music video is a reference to being closeted. And only LGBT+ persons are closeted. So I believe these three pairs of people represent three closeted LGBT+ couples.

The first pair, imo, represents Larry Stylinson. Harry Styles is the youngest member of One Direction and therefore the ‘baby’ of the group. And Louis is also brunette, and older than Harry. Both kids are brunettes, like Louis and Harry are. I think Larry is represented by a girl and an effeminate boy as a reference to how both Louis and Harry appear more stereotypically gay, by way of their flamboyance and effeminate behaviours.

The second pair represents Ziam Mayne or Zayn and Liam from 1D. It’s interesting to note, that the ‘dad’ seems to resemble Zayn in appearance (black hair and dark eyes), and that the ‘mother’ is blonde, which I suspect, is a reference to how all of Zayn’s love interests in his music videos (and in public!) is a blonde woman. This is the hetero pair representing how strongly Liam and Zayn have been marketed as straight throughout their careers.

And finally the boys, two brothers or ‘bros’. One boy is blonde, which I think represents Niall, and the other boy is dark haired. I think he represents Shawn Mendes. They are represented as two brothers, as a reference to how Shawn and Niall are publically seen as ‘bros’.

There is a part of the music video where the girls and the adults are dancing around in the closet together, and each individual walks towards the doorway and the camera, and shows off a bit. I think this is reference to all the times that Harry, Louis, Liam and Zayn, have been loud, i.e. done or said things that make it clear that they are not staright. And there is also a final scene where the boys also dance in the doorway of the closet together. So Niall and Shawn have also done and said things that have been LOUD. I know that there are many rumours about Shawn being not straight. He has even addressed these rumours directly. I think a LOUD Niall moment for me would be when Niall wore a shirt, in early 2020, that had a picture of two men kissing on it.
