sorry i literally cannot stop thinking abt that post that's like "tboy music is soft ukulele indie bugs and tgirl music is mean and loud and abrasive" cuz i legitimately cannot think of any music that fits those stereotypes except cavetown and against me!... which granted are arguably the two most widely known trans artists/bands but like. come on. tell me you don't actually listen to trans music without telling me you don't actually listen to trans music. two single examples does not make a pattern even if it follows patriarchal and transphobic stereotypes my friend. broaden your horizons and move beyond "trans men are soft uwu babies and trans women are mean and scary"...... i promise you there is a beautiful world out there of transgender music and transgender people breaking stereotypes.

I didn't know there are people who like the idea of Percy/Keyleth cheating. I don't mind the ship. People can ship whatever they like. But what is the obsession with cheating?

i don't think it's a sincere concern on the part of the audience at large. honestly, people weren't prepared in general for the fact that the hells were meeting The Lord of Whitestone and not percy of vox machina, and that includes the fact that he and The Voice of the Tempest weren't going to act like old college buddies, and i think sam was kind of reacting to that in his...own way. to me it's weird that people might have needed a deeper explanation.

the answer they gave was the most realistic version of that scenario, though i can't see any party involved genuinely going for it 😂 they even said it would require vex's involvement and i can't ever see vex wanting to bring keyleth in the mix.

(this is only tangentially related to this ask, but i have no small amount of frustration with the "beaujester WOULD have happened if They didn't go for Their preferred ships instead 🙄" -> "we DESERVE imo/dna as an APOLOGY that we are OWED for beau/jester!" -> "vex definitely 100% has a crush on keyleth, she's mean to her because she likes her, being sad she missed seeing her friend is a Category Three Vex/leth Moment, source: dude trust me" pipeline. like i understand people hardcore shipping imo/dna and beau/jes, but vex and keyleth?? really??? i mean shipping is all about imagination and extrapolation, i get it, ship whatever you want, but i feel like i'm missing something when i see people insisting that vex and keyleth have all this chemistry and potential. like...keyleth putting vex on a pedestal and vex thinking keyleth's worldview is weird and a little annoying isn't chemistry sdfkjghdfsdfg)

#idk there's a certain type of fandom that descended on beau/jes imo/dna and vex/leth like vultures #and not only is it just kind of tiresome to see the same kinds of takes but they're also just the most boring versions of the dynamics #to the exclusion of almost everyone and everything else about the show (and the characters themselves)#like idk if vex and keyleth even passed the bechdel test before episode 90 #they honestly just aren't...that close? imo?? and that's honestly fine #like it's okay if vex's most important relationships are with men bc she isn't the only important female cr character #and she's played by a woman who chose to portray her that way #it's just weird to me to see people project all this chemistry onto vex and keyleth that just...doesn't exist. at all #idk if it's just wanting to complete the laura/marisha ship trifecta or what but it baffles me #(though some of those takes also come from TLOVM kind of 'wholesome uwu smol bean'-ifying keyleth)#(which ALSO annoys me bc keyleth had some frustrating and annoying moments and it was GOOD)#(and i mean. idrc about vax/keyleth but u dont need to tear it down to make vex/keyleth look better)#anyway.#critical role #asks #cr discourse

Good Evening! We have reached Floaroma Town earlier today. I didn't post anything yesterday becasue frankly nothing of interest happened, we spent another day in Jubilife city.

But today, just as we went on out way towards Floaroma Town, we were harrassed by some very strange looking people. Or rather, they harrassed Professor Rowan, and we got pulled into this mess. They had some kind of Uniform, it looked like, how to describe it, a little bit like space suits? Apparently they wanted to steal some of his research regarding Pokémon Evolution!

Luckily, Miss Dawn was around as well so Laura and her could scare them off with their Pokémon. Does someone know if we should report this event? I'm sure the Professor is contacting someone, but maybe we should get this known as well.

Oh, and do not worry about us, we're perfectly fine!

Well, on our way towards Floaroma Town, Laura also caught a few Pokémon! Please welcome them!

This is Muffin! He seems very gentle, but sadly we can't spend much time with him right now, because trainers are only allowed to carry 6 Pokémon at one time. And here is Cress! She is quite the curious one, but i think she doesn't care a lot about other pokémon. But again, we didn't get to know her that well yet. Oh it is more difficult to be a travelling trainer than i thought!

In any case, we will be spending the rest of the day out in the flower fields of Floaroma Town! I can't recommend it enough, it is so incredibly beautiful here! If you ever have the chance, this is the place to visit in Sinnoh!
