Was rewatching ep 4 s2 of Ragnarok and I lost my fucking mind (again) at the whole Laurits giving birth to the Jörmungandr like that was so incredible I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. The way they made it fitting to a modern world sense, it’s just fucking insane

Binge watching Ragnarok today and I have to say this was the best season of the series. The ending was a bit confusing but I liked the part where Thor had to die for Magne to live. I saw my girl Isolde as well ( I missed her so much). Still, I am a big #maxa shipper and I just loved the fancy and powerful vibes Magne and Saxa had together. But overall, the season was good, better than the other two for me :))

Laurits is some sort of rare trash animal and I love him for it

Favorite thing about Laurits has to be that he's either dressed like homeless person while living a nice middle-class life or he's dressed like an art model while literally living as a homeless person

I mean this child slept under a tarp by the fjord, living off peanut butter and the food of other kids at school, and he brought three IKEA bags of clothes along with him and kept living his life with his killer mascara/eyeliner perfectly done and he even went to his mom's wedding and absolutely served while there because Laurits took a running leap in his fashion after the nondescript long sleeves and t-shirts of seasons 1 + 2 and he wasn't going back no matter what

Second favorite thing about Laurits is that he took his pills with milk drank straight from the container when there wasn't water available and he also ate beans straight from the can

Third favorite thing is that he's the only one who explains the tapeworm situation as giving birth, and people only refer to it as that after he does it first

everyone's like "sorry you had a medical emergency" all normal-like while he's sitting on his kitchen floor sobbing to Jens that he "gave birth to a worm" in those exact words

Mans took his parenting seriously

I finished the S3 and without spoilers I will say two quick things:

1) it is clear that a similar argument, if represented today, can never be totally faithful to its "historical period". They were good at producing such an adaptation and I liked the actors to the end with their ups and downs but some choices I found questionable.

2) the ending...I was not entirely satisfied. I would have chosen another less obvious theme, in a certain sense you have belittled everything and... Boh. Maybe with a clear head I'll think differently.

I'm a great fan of nordic mythology and I recommend this series, it's worth it for certain reasons but as for the last episode...I don't know what to tell you.

I hope you can do it.
