Oh Barney! You shaved! Largely because the book said you did, but also because I was getting tired of drawing that stubble!
For anyone wondering, even though the book doesn't really give Abe's dog a good-bye, leaving an animal without knowing when the owner returns would not sit right with me, even fictionally, hence why I've shoehorned this exchange in here.

Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Mari.
As a person who loves crocheting, I've always been curious about and wanted to learn knitting. My grandma taught me some of the basics a few years ago. But my skills are far from presentable and I know hardly anything about it. For reference, here is a picture of some of my recent crochet-projects and then a demonstration of my current knitting skills.
Tumblr media
On the left, you can see the patterns of two hair bands that I made a few weeks ago. And to show you that I can also do more three-dimensional things with wool and a crochet needle, a cat I started crocheting a while ago before running out of wool. (Don't mind the dust and scraps of yarn on it, it's been sitting in my drawer for a while.

This is a rectangle I knitted just a few minutes ago, only based on what I remember from when my grandma teached me a little bit of knitting. As you can see, it's not very pretty. The meshes looks irregular and wonky and the edges are anything but clean and look weird.
Unfortunately, this is as good as it will get.
My materials currently consist of a bunch of different knitting needles as well as tons of unused wool and yarn that I usually use to chrochet.

A picture of the different needles I own.
To organise my whole journey a bit better and to clearly set my goal, I made a list of what I want to learn:
Right and left stitches
Increasing and decreasing stitches
htd a proper mesh sample
Which materials to use
And then after learning the basics:
How to knit with multiple colors in one piece
How to knit three-dimensionally (idk the proper name)
htd different textures like this:

I am very proud of myself that I have managed to understand some French spoken and written - I have studied it off and on for years because I have been busy with other stuff; school and all that. But now I really need to focus on learning it, so I can actual sit down and grab as much materials I can, and slowly learn, and practice. Sort of absorbing everything I can.
I am able to understand some of the French videos with French subtitles. If not I write down then I look at and sometimes sheepishly realise: "damn that's quite easy to figure out in this context, dang it."
I just hope I can speak and write it at some point, but that will come.

This is Deep Rising 6 from 2001 - a post-college project inspired by the spectacular mandarin goby, a small coral reef fish. I wanted to echo the long, narrow format that I used for DR1, so this board was cut into this shape deliberately this time.
I made this with watercolor, primarily, and some colored pencil overlays. To my 20+-years-older eyes, it looks pretty rough, but the groundwork is in place now for where I'd be taking my art in years to come.
I lost track of some of the details as I was working through the coloring, so as an experiment, I went back over parts of it with black ink. In (many years later) retrospect, I should have chosen a color other than black! I've since learned how to re-capture linework in a way that is less jarring. That makes DR6 a good learning project for the beginnings of the "rescue" technique, even if it is not my best finished work.
I think this is another project that I'd like to revisit and revise with my current skill set. I love the colors and patterns, and now I know that I could do them justice.

Contemplation is a churning & burning of experiences within being - a kindling of digestive fires & the kundalini serpent of knowledge of truth that slowly rises through your own efforts of attention, concentration & contemplation - through holy tapas - burning in truth - experiences are finally digested into seed their forms - the food of wisdom & higher consciousness, seed-forms of knowledge finally appear in consciousness as knowings or apples of truth on a tree.
The land of apples - is your nature, you are a wholly self-sufficient knowledge-(self)-producing being, some may call this capacity of self sovereignty, to produce wisdom within and from your very own raw experiences.
This is your eternal life - through the wisdom produced with your own beingness do you enter direct knowing of everlasting life.

5 Reasons to Consider a Coding Curriculum for Students
There is no doubt that coding is the cornerstone of 21st-century learning and that students need access to code early and often. It's time for educational institutions to stop thinking of it as an option and start considering it a crucial part of any successful 21st-century career option. With the rapid rise of technology comes a growing demand for programmers, engineers, coders, and developers. To get your foot in the door, it's essential to understand how coding can benefit your students.

Here are Some Reasons to Consider a Coding Curriculum :
A strong foundation in coding will equip our students with the tools they need to compete in today's job market. Coding is a skill that will outlast any trend and will become increasingly more valuable as technology advances.
Coding is a means of developing critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
Coding is accessible to all skill sets that can create the next world-changing app or game. It also encourages creativity. Children learn and build their brains by experimenting. They learn even when they make mistakes. Children can and are encouraged to be creative, as it is a part of the process, not always the result. Learning Resources has a variety of imaginative play toys to encourage your child's creativity.
Coding applies across industries and is not just limited to the tech industry. Learning to code shows that you are resourceful, technologically savvy, and versatile. Coding lets you open up career opportunities you were previously unaware of.
Coding helps students appreciate computer science and those who code. Children who code are better able to visualize abstract ideas, use and enjoy math in practical contexts, and are more creative with math. Many STEM programs now include coding
Each school is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all approach for introducing coding into the curriculum, but starting early is essential for helping the students prepare for a future where coding plays a significant role in our lives.
At ILM, we encourage the inclusion of a coding curriculum in elementary schools. We also offer pre-prepared lessons and simulations on coding along with simplified teaching and learning systems that allow teachers and students to access all of their lessons and teaching resources from a single screen.
