In regards to your theory, it warms my heart to see how much effort you put into it, so let me confirm and deny some things (since I can be a little too cryptic sometimes)!
The part in the tl;dr about Sonic's name being "Nicky" to the rest of the world is correct! Sonic may call himself Sonic, but .. what parent would call their child that? To the world, he's Nicky.
About being non-organic, though ... not quite. There is only One True Sonic, and that is very true, even now.
Nice connection between Starlight Project and Project Shadow! I'd think a little more broadly about that connection if I were you.
"Fakedow isn't the first of the cast to learn" - that is correct.
The prediction about Fakedow's name being 'Nova' is really good, but unfortunately not correct

2023 baybeeeee. havent done an art summary in a while since i basically stopped drawing early 2020 and didn't get back on the horse until mid-2022 (i wonder... what could have caused that!) i dont feel like my art has really changed this year, only in the ways that I draw specific sonic characters (looking through my archive is fun bc i can see the progression of the diseases known as Giving Them Big Eyebrows and Drawing The Monoeye) and--more exciting 4 me--my practice with paneling comics! :)
i think the progression is much more noticeably when you line it up with last year's sonic art... i can see all the Milestones.. more talking abt that under the cut
May: couch gets into sonic. June: Yucky Sonic 1.0. this was also the month when i Heard Of fleetway super. July: couch comes back from brazil, having read stc. this is also when i start dong actual short comics. compare may -> june -> july. (also please forgive whatever tf i was doing with skintones. i needed some practice)
august: merger au takes shape. dog invented. also i just really like that speed racer sonic mspaint picture. its fun :) september: deep in the fleet mines. october: i lose a lot of steam and mostly just doodle. another comic comparison for those three months:
november: frontiers comes out. i go crazy mode and make that sonic + knuckles comic with the pretty backgrounds and LOTS OF TINY TEXT. december: winter break AND im tired. january 2023 i come back insane crazy mode and write some fanfiction?? still havent finished that LOL. made some nice cover art :) february: i shift into knuckles mode fora month. make another comic. this one is much better i think :) november -> february
march: i shift into transfem metal sonic mode. also just stick to a lot of doodling. also write more fanfiction. crazy. april: transitory period as i shift back into stc/exit: sonic mode. may: more fanfiction. more comics. i really like how both of these turned out :) while the last two were definitely taking a lot more notes from stc, i think around here i start paying attention to and trying to learn from more creative panelling from artists i admire. like @/superemeralds THOAM and @/starrjoy's pandora au.
june: i play sa2 and it's good. july: i play unleashed and it is both miserable and good. i get in kind of an artistic frustration zone and wiggle my way out. august: idk i think im just chillin. super react dot jpeg happens. it's not even named that, it's named after the other image on the canvas, which was maria holding baby shadow. more comics.
september: i burn out for a bit. get real tired. eventually get back up and make more comics. the goal here and last month has become "try to make more interesting panel shapes. I've noticed other artists don't just use rectangles--try playing with irregular polygons and see where it gets you." well it gets you mixed results as you learn :) also i think after that pause i accept the monoeye into my life. sigh...
october: oc showdown starts and @/neurotypical-sonic asks me to make some halloweeny art :) feels like i dont do much this month bc i focus on those. november: A LOT OF ART?? INSANE. more oc showdown stuff. i play shadow the hedgehog (2005). it's good and i love it. i draw a ton of shit on one canvas for it. Fucking Dember: i have shifted back into stc/EXIT mode. motivation's a little weird bc work's a little weird. doing commissions also makes it weird. well im having fun and being myself :) a final handful of comics from this month:
idk maybe ill do something sicko crazy b4 the end of the year. mayb i'll follow exit sonic's example and #GetWorse. who knows :) well this is fun i love looking at my art and seeing and noticing things. thank u all for your support and I hope we all have a great 2024!

A crossover drawing with Archie and Idw…Look it may seem random but hear me out LOL
When you stop to look at it, Khan and Surge have a pretty similar backstory; two characters who were kidnapped by mad scientists and forced to become cyborg soldiers. You can also add to the fact that they both can be arrogant and have their anger issues, though Surge’s case is a bit more extreme mostly because she also has a bit of Scourge in her lol
Idk if Surge was written with these similarities in mind, I'd said that is mostly because her and Kit’s backstory itself is based on Androids 18 and 17 from Dragon Ball…But it is still something interesting and worth noting!
Now I just wonder how their interactions could go…It would definitly start with them fighting each other, but maybe once Surge learns about Khan’s past, she would try to convince him to help her on her big revenge plan against Robotnik (Sonic too, but for that it would change the focus a bit xd). Khan could either rejected it yet understand her pain and try taking her to the good path/“I can fix her” move…Or say fuck it and help her kill Eggman LOL There are a lot of possibilities for this!

Another beginner artist update! This doesn't look like much but I'm actually really proud of it. Well I'm not so proud of the dog with anxiety on the right, but it was good practice for drawing snouts since I've mostly been drawing sonic the hedgehog style characters.
That first face on the left, the one that looks better, was drawn by my husband @pawtimer when I asked how he made his eyes look so expressive. He drew that, then I drew the next red sketch. I thought I did pretty good! This was drawn before my Clash the Rat piece and you can probably tell I used some of what I learned here on that.
My goal with this blog is to have new art on here every day, that way I hold myself to practicing, and so I have a good timeline of how my skills are developing. My hopes are that I get actually good at this art thing one day and have my early art super visible so other people might be inspired. Maybe that's too ambitious, but I'm gonna try anyways.
If anyone has tips or resources for me on my journey, or if you just want to suggest something for me to draw so you can see it drawn poorly I'm all ears! I think I'm decent at sonic characters so I wouldn't mind drawing people's OCs either.

I can’t remember who said it but someone floated the idea that calm was released in the wrong era to get the recognition and popularity it deserves and I do see that, the more I look into it the more I notice a technical expertise that I’ve seen in very little else (like 5sos5 is good, in a softer way, and youngblood is too in a more fun, adventurous way) but there’s something about them having perfected their youngblood sound and just taken every side branch off it they could think of with the same foundation and practiced their instruments so much that the confidence is noticeable and then also the fact that the first six songs people heard and they were so diverse that they didn’t really realise they were by the same people and those people were 5sos. and then the fact that the album tells one of the most cohesive stories I’ve ever heard and sonically gets pulled together in the second half by not in the same way and thin white lies and lonely heart and the cohesiveness is incredible, especially with its encore kill my time which draws everything together from the lyrics and imagery to the self deprecation to the industrial pop rock sound with incredible vocals in from the low to falsetto ranges and they worked so hard with so many people to create it. was the diversity what prevented some sales or was it the pandemic? or was it always meant to be a masterpiece that was never a piece of its time but timeless like the influences from the 90s and early 2000s that we would come back to every time they release a new album showing the skills they picked up in this era and more and go wow they did this, they were doing this even then?
but it makes sense doesn’t it? youngblood came after the likes of reputation and evolve where we were just getting into that bass-led slightly darker than the early to mid 2010s pop sound and calm is more a twentyteens than 20s album, in my far from expert opinion they shouldn’t have sat on it that long and released it in 2019 before we stopped going down that route, but I think they learned that lesson and they made a point not to hold onto it any longer and weren’t we blessed to enter the pandemic with this? maybe we weren’t ready for how dark and emotional it is and maybe we still haven’t learned how to feel it as much as we need to. but here is a piece of work that is going to last and be discovered again and again and can be enjoyed at any age and that’s the beauty of it.

Your art is really cute! Amazing! I love the palette you work with for your art and the lines stick out really well! I'd love to draw Amy as well, but I struggle with her head and eyes sense there's no gap between the brow. Do you have any tips for that? Thank you in advanced, and I hope you're doing good!
Hi anon! First of all Thanks a lot!! I’m really flattered by all your words and sorry for how long this took, art block has been beating my ass, i have my own way of making Amy’s eyes and maybe there is a few tips i can share!
So, without further ado welcome to my (probly not very good sorry) tutorial on how i draw Amy´s eyes!
Please have in mind that i´m not a professional in any way and this is only for reference!
So I’m aware that this image will not be very helpful, I’m at a stage in which i can just draw Amy’s eyes in one go (im totally not flexing i still have to try many times) since I’ve drawn her so many times already, and then i just add the details later, i just wanted to show the actual way i do it before we start.
Okay now let me share a trick i actually do myself when I’m having issues drawing Amy’s eyes!
1-We start with a circle! It’s they way i establish the size the eyes will have, i like making big ol’ eyes so it’s very important for me to make sure of the size.
2- Draw two dragon ball type of eyes, if you are having trouble with this just draw the full circles and erase the sides so you have a similar shape!
3- Here is when the magic happens, connect the brows! Two eyes turn into one! this has saved me so may times, you can adjust the size of the eyes to your liking.
4- Add the muzzle and nose as a reference for the face positioning, you can add a line for the muzzle, i personally don’t do this since i like the softer look the characters get when they don’t have the line.
5-Erase the circle and add eyes and ears! use the muzzle as a reference to draw Amy’s s head, her head is very circular!
For the record i draw Amy’s s eyes in more of a semi-circular way and the no muzzle line makes her face look kind of flat, on model Amy’s eyes flow with her muzzle instead of stopping on it like mine does, this is something you have to have in mind if you want your art to look more on model!
Try different shapes! angry eyes usually look sharper, more happy/exited eyes might look more circular etc, i recommend using a lot of references as well since they are the best way of learning in my opinion!
And last but not least, go nuts!! Remember that all these rules can be broken, experiments with different types of eyes, and don’t be afraid of going off model, after all we do fan art for ourselves and drawing connected eyes is not a must for drawing sonic art!
I hope you found this little tutorial useful, I had a lot of fun breaking this down, I’ll be very happy to see more fan art of Amy in the future!

Answering some questions about Elysium!
Filling out this questionnaire for @sonic-oc-showdown so that everyone can know a little more about Ely!

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?
Chuggaconroy's playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was fresh on my mind at the time, so I decided to pull a name from there! I first thought of naming it Aegis, but because I saw another OC who had that name already, I decided on Elysium instead, and I think that's for the better. (Plus I'd end up using the name Aegis for an original project later on, so naming it something else made things less confusing lol)
Elysium is a sort of heaven in Greek mythos, so I think it's pretty fitting for a character who's searching for a purpose as well as inner peace in life.

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)
He's an android, so he's technically ageless. He's modeled after Shadow, who is 15 years old, so you could consider that his age as well.
If you wanna go chronologically, though, he's only existed for a little less than a year.

🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?
Nope! No interest in romance. They don't really know what that feels like.

🍕 - What is their favorite food?
She doesn't have taste receptors or the ability to eat, unfortunately. She wishes she could try flan though, it looks so yummy...

💼 - What do they do for a living?
Thanks to Sonic's world being the way it is, it doesn't have to worry about working for money in the slightest.👍
It does wander the world and occasionally fight against Eggman, if that counts.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?
They have quite a few! They take up a lot of different hobbies trying to find what sticks. They like to study a lot of things, mostly culture, biology, astrology, and mythology, as well as travel the world with Livewire. They also really enjoy landscape photography, birdwatching, going to Chao Gardens, literally anything that allows them to study and learn about the nature around them.

🎯 -What do they do best?
For a good while, he didn't know what he was good at. Being discarded for his inability to fight like other Shadow Androids (among other imperfections) tore his self-esteem to shreds. It took a long time for him to feel like he could be good at anything.
In spite of that, he's got pretty good aim, even if he's unwilling to shoot anyone or anything. He also has near perfect memory (for better or for worse), and is a pretty good photographer.

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?
She loves to wander and explore new places, seeing new sights and listening to the world around her. She could sit outside for hours upon hours simply watching and hearing people pass by, birds fly overhead, plants shifting in the wind, anything she can notice in her environment. It's her favorite thing to do.
She absolutely hates fighting, even against Eggman's forces, though she knows she's doing the right thing by standing up against him. She hates having to draw her weapon against another and wishes she'd never have to. She also hates speaking. Her voicebox is faulty, so most of the time her voice comes out glitchy and wrong, if it comes out at all.

❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?
Its best memories are often some of the most mundane. Waking up and stepping outside to a cool morning shower, watching the sunrise or the sunset, spending the day lazing around on the couch with Livewire and Nebula watching movies, traveling to new places...
The best out of all, though, is seeing the night sky for the first time. It had never seen it before during its short time with Eggman, but when it got to see it for the first time, lying on the grass and gazing up to the cosmos above, it was overcome with a feeling of awe, and of relief, too. It was the most beautiful thing it had ever seen.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?
Shadow Androids are put through a series of tests before they're considered suitable for deployment. Many of these are combat-based, or speed-based. Defeat a certain amount of enemies under a time limit, reach the goal in a certain amount of time, etc.
Elysium failed all of these.
Those who fail are to be torn apart by the other Shadow Androids, before being thrown out into one of Eggman's personal scrap yards.
They remember all of it, up until the moment their energy reserves ran out, and they completely shut down lying in a pile of scrap metal, completely unable to move.
Good thing Livewire eventually found them, huh?

Yup! He hasn't gotten any redesigns yet, and I don't see him getting any in the foreseeable future.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?
I saw other people's Shadow Android OCs and Ely eventually popped into my head! I wanted to do something a little more unique with her, though. Most of the ones I've seen either still work for Eggman or rebelled against him, so I decide to make her defective from the start instead since I hadn't seen that before.

It's agender and uses any pronouns! It hasn't figured out what it's sexuality is, though. Probably aroace.

It has a crippling fear of failure, confrontation, and abandonment, due to its past experiences.
It also hates seeing dismantled robots. That's like gore to it. It begins to panic at the sight of it.

Eggman is definitely their arch-nemesis. He's probably the only person out there they're willing to hurt, given the chance.
As for rivals, they don't have any. They're just not good rival material. They're way too nice and too avoidant of any kind of confrontation.

My Trans story so far (2024)
Hoi there, and happy trans day of visibility. I can't possibly be more vissible then this right? I had to share my story with someone a few months back when i came out to them, and ever since then i had the idea of making it my next post in this inconsistent and confusing series.
I say series because this is part two. Here's part 1 on...sonic cd. yup.
So the format is simple. I take something i already typed and try to make it more legible for a blog type racket. No reason not to get right into it. Beware of typos, and transphobes begone!
I'm a kid in a barber shop. My grandpa is talking up a storm to some random clerk. I'm extremely bored. There are some toys though. Poly pocket. I never seen these before. These are so cool. I wish i had one of these but they don't make boy versions right?
Some time in 2022, I was at work dealing with closing cleaning type things which let my mind wander. I started thinking about a fairly innocuous interaction I had in FFXIV no earlier then 2021.
The race I wanted to play was gender locked so I was playing as a female character. Two players starting joking around with me and the whole time they used fem pronouns for me. I didn't think too much about it back then but on that day in late 2022 it made me question why I was so ok with that use of language towards me
That was the day my egg cracked.
I spent the rest of 2022 trying desperately to figure out what my relationship to gender was. Just what the heck was I and did that even mean anything? Maybe I was gender fluid. It was hard to feel fem at work. Or oh! Maybe i'm just a drag queen in the making. But why did I not want that to be true and did that mean anything? Well clearly i wasn't actually trans right? Nevermind that gender fluid was trans. I thought maybe that I only felt that way because I was playing a character. So I made up my mind. In 2023, at the start of a new year I would begin to experiment.
It's around the era of the nintendo wii and something is bothering me feircly. I spent days on my gamecube on my tiny crt and realized I was picking princess peach a lot on my precious 'cube. I confide in my friend that I really must have a crush on her. When pressed I can't say why. I'm so glad he doesn't embarss me for my stupid feelings. It was a little weird I didn't like her as much in that one game though. Not my fault she just looked better in a dress.
I stopped cutting my hair and started trimming my beard and prized mustache so I was always smooth and baby faced. Anyone who asked I simply told them that it was a new year and a new me. Except for my friends who were the first to know.
My imposter syndrome was HIGH. And it remaind so for a long time. so afraid was I that I was actually, secretly, a fake trans. I had no evidence for this except piss poor self confidence. I only talked myself out of it much later with the idea that "Being trans and just really thinking you're trans is functionally the same so it doesn't mater if i'm 'fake' "
Unfortunately, my friend group wasn't doing a lot of online gaming at the time. I got a little desperate to see if my new pronouns fit. To my shame I basically asked one of them to contrive reasons to put pronouns into a sentence so they had reasons to use my new ones. They did not oblige.
Another pokemon game for my precious nintendo 3ds. I pick the girl because clearly they'll have better fashion options. I had just learned my lesson from Pokemon Y. No other reason. A few other simular things. I pick up megaman zx for the first time and choose the girl because, obviously, only female megaman.
I got a break when I was invited to a short lived DND group. I started hanging out with a separate friend group I was already beginning to know before gender stuff started. With ample chances to try my gender out I realized that something felt right.
So I went deeper. I remember wandering around a good will trying not to draw ire or eyes as I went and both tried on a dress and managed to bring it home. The few times I wore it felt great. Would feel much better if it actually fit.
It's my childhood again and i'm sat in front of the ps1 with my little brother. Namco museum only had one true co-op game. Toy Pop. I pick the girl so he won't have to.
In days to come I kept experimenting. I started to realize all the small signs. You already know many of them. I've peppered them througout my story. Unbeknownst to me I had already started to experiment with gender. Awhile ago I, once again trying not to get attention, bought some thigh highs from a party store. I really enjoyed wearing those. Everyone except for me knew I was trans before me, including me.
When I was dead certain on my path I set up an appointment with planned parenthood. I told my grandparents I was simply heading to Dave and busters which was technically not untrue. I began my medical transition but I was also urged to come out to people. I couldn't live in the closet forever. So I did so with my very obviously gay manager… And it went nothing like I expected. It went well, but not how I thought. I ended up coming out to the whole work force as well.
The right wing had tricked me into thinking any "regular" person would react with shock and confusion on a reveal of my new gender identity. All the media I consumed had colaborated this.
I'm just entering furry twitter when I see quite a few posts of male characters in dresses, usuasly of the maid variety. How cute, i think. I'm allowed to do this one because it's a shared joke. So i draw the one dress.
And then a few more.
"I wish I could look as good as my characters do right now"
Eventually I managed to come out to my grandparents. They were confused but attempting to be accepting. Things have mostly been rocky in the sense that they haven't made any effort to treat me the way I ask, but they don't deny me. The parents who raised me are forbidden to know their daughter.
I even came out to my astranged mother. (seperate from my step mother mention a second ago). When I was in highschool she moved back in town and we started to rekindled our relationship. Being the first to know I was ace, it was a shock when she became a born again christian. I thought she'd never accept me and I was almost right. Behind closed doors she tells my younger sister to not refer to me by my pronouns, or so i'm told.
After I was out for awhile something weird happened and I stopped.. Policing my own behavior. How I held myself. The words I used. I was my own women. I didn't need to fit into a box. The more I went on the more free I felt!
I started holding my hands in gay little ways. I crossed my legs. I walked however the hell I wanted. I used 'hon' whenever i felt like it. I wore this cute little collar I owned out to my weekly dnd meetings. Who cares. I'm me now. This cat can't be boxed.
The longer I've been on this journey the more I felt right. And here we are now. A two year or more journey still ongoing
It's 2023 and i'm attempting to put on eyeliner for the first time. It goes horribly. I laugh, inform my friends of my mistake, and we play games through the night. I wear my favorite of the two dresses. I ask them if it's ok to do so. They laugh. What and absurd thing to ask. Why would a woman not be allowed to wear a dress?
I would like to thank a huge number of people for their help in my journey but my brain is mush so i'll try to get as many as I can

Today we learned that legendary manga artist and creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, has passed away at age 68. I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about how his work has influenced me.
The first time I came across manga, I must have been around 8, I went to my friend's place and he was reading this little comic book called Dragon Ball, tome 26. I was fascinated by how much was condensed into this compact little book. I went through the pages and was instantly captivated by the artstyle, the cool action and characters. It was so creative, full of drama, comedy, it was violent, bloody, intense, in a way that no other comic books I was reading at the time (like Garfield or the Smurfs) had been. It captured my imagination and I was instantly hooked.
I was already drawing a lot back then, (a lot of Megaman, Sonic, and other video game stuff) but from that moment, all I would draw is Dragon Ball. I would try to recreate specific panels that I loved, try to emulate the art style, I created characters of my own that would fit the universe, I would make up new battles and stories. I begged my friend to let me borrow more books. I would ask my parents to take me to Walmart so I could sit on the ground in the book section (in which DB was the only manga at the time) and just read every tome they had available. Thankfully my friend eventually got every early tome so I was able to read the story from the start, and then we would eagerly wait for new releases. "Luk did you know? Tome 31 just came out at walmart!" "MOM!! While my interest eventually shifted to drawing other things and being inspired by new artists, Dragon Ball's impact on my style was noticeable for years and years. When I started going online and sharing art with others, I quickly realized my story was not unique and that countless other artists had also been influenced and motivated to start drawing by Toriyama's work and stories. Dragon Ball was the first introduction to japanese content for so many of us, and the culture has continued to influence our art and our lives ever since. And when you consider that so many other manga artists and games were themselves inspired by Toriyama, you start to realize just how much he changed the world. His art resonates through every sphere of media and is still felt in countless franchises today.
Nowadays, even though they're still coming out with new shows, games and movies, Dragon Ball feels like more of a childhood memory for me. It's something a lot of us "grew past" and moved on from, but I can still notice small bits of its influence in my own art. Even though at the time, I was most captivated by the stories, now that I look back on his work with the knowledge and perspective of an older artist, I'm truly impressed and amazed by the quality of Toriyama's illustrations, his technique, his eye for detail, the incredible creativity, the imagination. There's still so much to learn from him. It's as good now as it ever was.
I was shocked to hear of his passing, because Toriyama feels like such an everlasting giant and mainstay of the industry. I think we always took him for granted because his work has been a part of our world for as long as we can remember, even now his influence can be felt in every sphere of media. It's like he's always been there, and forever would be (and in a sense, he will) With the untimely passing of the man behind the creation, maybe now we can take time to really appreciate the magnitude of his achievements. I certainly would not be the artist I am today without him.

Hmmm... Probably belgian waffles with far too many toppings.

He’s a freelance detective! Sort of. He’s supposed to be retired but it’s hard to keep him in place.

He loves anything to do with puzzles! Puzzle games, actual puzzles, escape rooms, murder mystery media... He also enjoys beach sports like volleyball but it’s a bit hard on his body now. He also likes to bake and mix drinks. He’s a jack of all trades honestly, he’s quite restless.

Solving mysteries of course! He’s also a pretty darn good cook, if you’ll allow him to toot his own horn.

His one true love is puzzles, if it’s not clear enough yet! He also loves the beach and relaxing in the sun! He dislikes dreary weather, feels it makes him far too serious and stern! He’s also not one for stuffy museums, he’d much rather be learning from communities themselves! He’s a very knowledge focused guy but enjoys the experience of learning from enthusiastic people rather than textbooks. He really enjoys watching older shows too! MASH and ST:TOS being among his favorites. Imagine those in the Sonic universe however you please LOL

Hmm... really, he savors the feeling of helping people! Each and every person he’s helped is slotted into his brain like a polaroid!

Yeesh, he’s too old to dwell on these things! If he kept track of every failed case and the homophobia and ableism he’s had tossed his way in life he’d have no time for the things he enjoys!

Sure is! I tend to stick with designs once I make them. Little changes may happen here and there to make them easier for me to draw but typically, my designs stay the same! His fur pattern might be choppy or smooth depending on the amount of time I want to put into drawing it though LOL
🧠 What originally inspired this OC?
Sara was drawing Sonic OCs and I hadn’t ever really put the time into making one. So I sat down, grabbed a pelt pattern I liked, and took a LOT from Benoit Blanc from Knives Out. Someone in the tags of his poll said he’s got Columbo energy but I haven’t actually watched it so I can’t say for sure whether he carries those traits or not. My favorite color is purple so it tends to sneak into my designs. I made him about a month before the Sonic Murder Mystery game hilariously enough.

Mystery of course! Maybe comedy/mystery?

Gay for sure, trans maybe? I haven’t decided for sure and I don’t think he’s the type to really care too much for labels for himself. He uses He/Him mostly but won’t go out of his way to correct people.

I haven’t really thought about it honestly. I’ll probably give him a sister. Feels right.
🧑🍼 What is the OC’s relations w/their parents like?
Not great. He was outed in his late teens and they. Did not react well. He already had a rough time from his undiagnosed autism and it never really got better. He’d liked to have improved things with them but he just... never really got around to it.

I just think he’s a silly guy :) I am pretty happy with his design too! I’m quite proud of how my skills have improved in that aspect.

This is honestly the most I’ve done since making him LOL I work a full time job and my brain is more focused on Warriors atm tbh

Oh absolutely not. I’m the type of guy who makes ocs for fun and to push them together like dolls! Maybe if I made him as a teen things would be different.

Sort of? He’s got a lot of mental things going on about germs. Washes his hands a LOT and is very aware of just how much others don’t. Maybe snakes too since he’s a cat.

Prompt: Tails build Extreme Gear (from the Sonic Riders series)
One day Tails woke up with a crazy idea.
He sits up in his bed in the attic. He glances at the desk. He rushes over and pulls out some blank blueprints. Tails slides everything off the top of the desk and onto the floor, including Sonics math text book, waking him up.
Sonic snaps awake and looks at Tails who is already aggressive scribbling something. Then he looks at the clock. 7am. It’s too early.
Sonic tries to go back to sleep, but the sound of Tails’ pencil against the paper is driving him mad. He decides to get up and see what he’s up to.
“Is that a.. skateboard?” Sonic tilts his head at the image before him. Tails looks up at him and smiles “good morning Sonic! And no.. it’s a hoverboard!”
“Sounds cool. Now why at 7am?”
“Sorry, but I got excited!”
“Go back to bed.”
Tails shakes his head “no!”
Sonic tries to pick up Tails, but he’s clinging for dear life to his desk. “CMON BEDTIME”
“NOOOOOO”
Tails got to bed.
When their day really begins, here’s what happens:
Tails spots some weird things in the sky, and thinks he’s seeing things. He builds his hoverboard but it’s missing something.
Then he sees them again and flies after them. He manages to catch up with them and learns they are birds with hovercrafts similar to his own. He wonders why they need the boards if they're birds.
Jet catches glimpse of him and draws his friends attention towards the kit. Tails gulps as Wave takes his board and examines it.
"Pah! You call this Extreme Gear? Impressive kid, but not impressive enough. Maybe you should stick to those building blocks, little one." Wave says laughing in Tails' face.
Tails frowns. This was a mistake.
He spends the entire day making it better. One day he will find them again and prove himself, even though his brothers insist he doesn't need to. He knows he doesn't HAVE to, but he can't just let them make fun of him and get away with it.

🌻- A FEW DAYS AGO me and my roommate rewatched all of avatar the last airbender. I mean, we tried to years ago but we stopped because… Ok this might sound ridiculous but we stopped 5 episodes in cuz it was too good, and we needed hardcore stupid for a while. BUT WE WENT BACK IN and wrapped it up in a few days and it’s still ballin’ as ever. I don’t have much to say beyond that.
🌻- YESTERDAY, I got a Shadow the Hedgehog plushie at a comic store because. Anyway, threw on Sonic X (subbed for a change wooo) a few hours later smack in the middle of season 3 to get some Shadow vibes in cuz he is the original scrunkly. …OKAY im actually done talking about him, If I get started on my sonic bs I never stop BUT
It’s absolutely bonkers to me how Sonic X just like…has virtually no music score????? It’s been a minute since I’ve seen Season 1-2 subbed, but Season 3 has barely any compositions at all. And everything is so….slow? You know how anime used to just…stick to one shot or draw something out for a reaaally long time? That’s pretty much every episode. I chalk that up to the mid animation (it’s crazy that this will be the same studio that would eventually handle 2019 Fruits Basket). As much as I do dislike how loud and tonally deaf the 4Kids score is, I did miss the character leitmotifs a bit. I can only imagine what a combo would’ve been like with proper atmosphere. Every now and then I’d HOPE the music would pop off but there’d be whole ass action sequences and score is just a constant low, droning wubwubwubwubwub noise. Once in a blue moon an Adventure 1 event song might play BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS DEAD SILENCE or wubwubwubwubwub. ITs Just so baffling to me considering how peak the music in the games are, you’d think that’d be utilized in it’s anime. Tho Live and Learn playing at the end of the Project Shadow arc??? Bruh. Cinema.
…Anyway all that said, the Metarex arc is still pretty peak. And I really think Sonic X would’ve benefitted hard from today’s animation standard, cuz it srsly NEEDS that sense of speed to convey the insane stuff more 😩. Though Sonic X as it was would never be made today in the “let’s be safe and squeaky bclean for the brand” landscape. Not enough hurr hurr chili dog 👹 SEE LOOK IM GOING OFF FOREVER THIS IS WHY I CANT GET ON MY BS—-
🌻- If the “talking about watching every disney film” thing ever comes out, I’m dodging copyright by re-drawing the shots we talk about or make new jokes. “But you could just use screenshots” ermmmmmmmm maybe. Setting himself on fire with his powers when he first awakened them. His arms are still scarred from the incident, but those scars aren't visible due to the sheer density of his fur.

Sort of. Originally, he looked a bit more like a typical Mobian: shoes, no claws, more normal face, etc.
🍀 What originally inspired the OC?
I sorta made him out of necessity, but his powers were originally heavily inspired by those of Misaka Mikoto (from A Certain Scientific Railgun), and his looks were slightly influenced by Sogiita Gunha (from the same series). Other than that, he wasn't inspired by much.
🌂 What genre do they belong in?
Some sort of fighting game, or maybe something like the Dynasty Warriors series. He'd just work well in anything with fast-paced combat.

100% male, homoromantic/asexual.

So theses are apparently some of the selkies powers, I’m pretty sure this is just for dnd and is not mythological accurate . But out of these powers which would you choose for your selkie au to be Selkie abilities?

3) Usopp doesn't like the idea of biting people because it makes him feel animal-like and he hates being compared to an animal because He Is Not. Also the nose makes it hard for him to bite people I would imagine. His molars are a little sharper than they maybe should be and he's got pronounced canines but he doesn't have the coral-shaped molars seals (apparently) have. His dad does tho, Buggy too but Buggy shaved his down a bit to hide better in the East Blue
4) yeah he's good at a quick draw but he still trips and stumbles sometimes on land. He's much more graceful in water because there is nothing to trip over
5) About as much as Canon, with is quite a bit.
6) His reflexes are pretty quick because his eyes are better than a human's, it doesn't mean he's perfectly co-ordinated and just because he can see something coming doesn't mean he can dodge without tripping. He gets a bit more graceful post-ts but he grew up without fighting, so he's learning as he goes
7) Yeah he's got more stamina than you would expect, but that's pretty much just canon
8) Stronger than you would think unless you tried picking him up. He can change his appearance but he can't change his weight and seals are 4000 pounds. He's very physically dense, even if he looks like the skinniest 17 year old you've ever seen, so picking up 300 pounds to him is like a normal person picking up 12 pounds he's not athletic pre-ts tho so no picking up twice his body weight or anything. The 1 ton hammer could have been real tho.
9) He does have really good night-vision, he does use his tinted goggles more because seal-eyes are more dilated than humans' and if it's too sunny it hurts his eyes

NINJAGO. Tbh I rlly loved the character designs before I even watched it but holy shit. I love Arin and Sora SO MUCH. Their friendship is the best thing since forever. And they’re both neurodivergent IDC WHAT ANYBODY SAYS!!! They are. I think Arin is probably my favorite because I think I act a lot like him irl and I always love when characters act like me idk!!! He’s just rlly cool I think =] AND SORA IS TOO!!!! Sora’s story also resonated a LOT with me as somebody who. Doesn’t quite like the environment I grew up in. I feel like a lot of that was similar to when people use their religion to excuse being an a-hole, or just use some higher power figure to be an a-hole.
Tbh some of it rlly reminded me of sonic prime but mostly that the one robot place had the people riding on conveyor belts HXBDNN. They’re also both animated by wildbrain I think.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE ANIMATION. My goodness. Every new ninjago thing I won’t realize I could be any more impressed by the animation but they get me every time. I’ll be smiling cuz that’s how beautiful the animation is sometimes my goodness!!!!!! Like I’m smiling just thinking about it but maybe it’s the autism.
I watched ALL TEN EPISODES today and I look forward to the continuation. It doesn’t feel like the original ninjago but I don’t even care because the original went on for… a long time.
I recommend it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you watch it please tell me who your favorite character is Omg. Mine is Arin I think. I also liked the one girl who made the model volcano even though she appeared for like, one scene. I’d LOVE for her to be redeemed idk I love “I was forgotten and now I’m bitter” arcs sm….. goodness… I wanna learn how to draw them now.

• How did you come up with the OC's name?
I had like 3 different OCs named Echo at a time, as a kind of placeholder. It just ended up sticking! Before that though, his name was Aura.
• How old are they? (Or approximate age range)
About 16!
• Do they have any love interest(s)?
She's in a relationship with a different OC of mine named Nea (short for Neapolitan), and has a close Queer Platonic Relationship with another OC named B0lt!
• What is their favorite food?
He loves strawberry things! (Though if you ask her, she'll just say whatever you like)
• What do they do for a living?
He works part-time at his girlfriend's sweet shop! Though her main profession is a secret, even to her!
• Do they have any hobbies?
She likes singing and reading and learning about history!
• What do they do best?
Echo is SUPER good at reading people and accurately copying their mannerisms and personality. He can also copy people's looks, but that's a bit more tricky due to how memory works when it comes to visual stuff like colours.
• What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?
Loves: reading, singing, finding out new history
Hates: having to search out her OWN history due to amnesia. He finds his own life much more boring and frankly annoying than other people's.

She doesn't have many to go off of, but it's a tie between him and B0lt catching fireflies and her ace-ing some hard test. He's not too sure why that one fills him with so much pride.

She has a memory of her being in some type of tube with wires connected to her, and a group of people messing around with them until her form shifted. That one makes his head hurt

Besides a few changes, pretty much! Unless we're counting the old designs of the oc I took this old design from, then no. GOD no. This is like the 7th one if we count that.
• What originally inspired the OC?
If I remember correctly, he was created because I REALLY liked this random anime character from an anime I never even watched? I still haven't found the character in question, though. Oh! Also because he had ice magic originally (why the fur is blue and white)
• What genre do they belong in?
Either a Mystery Comedy, or a Horror Mystery, to be honest. Depends on the vibes she's giving that day.

Genderfluid (Uses he/she). Mainly because haha cats are liquid but also because well. He's literally a fluid due to how his shapeshifting works. Get it? She's also demi!

He was the oldest of 7. She doesn't remember much about any of them.

He doesn't remember it being good. Her only memory of them is an arguement she cant remember the words of. Only that he ran out while they yelled.

God I love writing a character without worrying about them being out of character. She acts like whoever she's interacting with/copying and that's SO fun. Also writing someone else seeing that SOMETHING'S off with him but they cant tell what is something that can be so enjoyable

I have so many doodles and mini comics but most of them are me throwing ideas into thin air. Maybe I'll share some of them during the showdown!
• Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?
I don't think I CAN kill him to be honest. Not to sound OP but I genuinely think she could live without most organs (although not. Un-painfully) due to her shapeshifting power. (This COULD change though, I'm still ironing out the kinks of how his stuff works.

He's horrified of stasis. The idea of being locked/frozen makes him panic super bad.

She doesn't have one actually? There's this character I have called Hero who looks for him for mysterious reasons but that's about it.

Since I was about 12! I only started actively using her in 2021 though.
