This little side quest was so fun. I kept reloading my save so I could get each line of dialogue, then ended up just beating him up anyways.

Sliding in another wip~ @legionmutt is letting me draw one of their bad guys and I'm having a lot of fun.
I'm fostering some rambunctious kittens right now y'all so if I'm not responding much just know that I am happy but covered in teeny, stingy cat scratches and am very sleepy
Cat tax below the cut!
they are brothers

The Roman legions were probably the main reason the Roman Empire was so successful. These incredibly organized military units marched all over the ancient world and remained in key colonies of the empire long after the last battle was fought. Roman legions, however, developed over time and as they evolved they became finely tuned parts of the war machine.

The army during the Roman Empire's Principate-era was a well-trained, well-organized, and flexible fighting force that was unmatched by its enemies. Composed of fearsome legions, they were able to defeat its enemies, both outside and from within the Empire's borders.

Just as lonesome road's "you can go home courier six" can be viewed both as informing you that you aren't trapped there, once you find out about Ulysses and the divide, it can also be seen as a message of hatred and dismissal
Similarly, "for honourable service" on the ranger sequoia has a new meaning when it's being held by a leigon centurion to kill NCR troopers and rangers

Nero, the Champion of Flagstaff and the Protégé of Lucius, is complete!!!
I really hope you like his design!! It was super fun to draw this and I’ll draw more of him, I promise. You can send in any questions about him, his story, and his connection to everyone’s least favorite NCR misfit, Poindexter. I’ll answer it for you!

The Centurion, Keeper of Discipline
The Vine Staff or Centurion's Staff, was a vinewood rod of about 1m in length used in the ancient Roman Army and Navy.
It was the mark and tool of the Centurion, both as an implement in the direction of drill and manoeuvres, also to beat wayward or laggard soldiers or sailors under his command.
