Seeing people fall into angel good/demon bad without even noticing is... painful, to say the least. Defending all of Aziraphale's actions because he had "good intentions" or "still has faith" or "was traumatized by heaven" is harmful and unhealthy to say the least, and it 100% looks like pro-Christianity rhetoric at times.

We're supposed to look at Aziraphale and see somehow who yes, has good intentions, but has refused to deal with his trauma and problems and ends up making incredibly bad choices as a result. He is supposed to change, so defending his actions is counter-intuitive to the message Neil and Terry want us to receive.

Aziraphale is that kid who tells you sure, it's fine to no believe in God, but you will go to hell and suffer forever, who tells you everyone just needs to "try harder" and that "poor people have mor opportunities" (I still cannot process that he canonically says and believes that), who tells you that you can be gay, but don't be it in front of the children or any people.

Aziraphale is the guy who refuses to deal with his internalized homophobia and asks his queer friends to go back into the closet because he cannot deal with seeing queer people be happy while he is stuck in self-induced misery.

There are reasons why so many people are uncomfortable with his behaviour and ideologies—and you are supposed to be.

Oh~ what a fun AU premise! Usually I prefer Jason to be Catwoman's protege, but I can see the appeal of Dick filling that role. Because like. It lends itself to a dynamic of flirty!Dick/flustered!Jason and I can't say no to that hahaha.

But yes - Dick and Jason becoming best friends over the years. They keep it as professional as the bat and the cat during their night hours. Mostly. Batman is forever exasperated with how it's largely Dick that chases Jason though. And it's easy for Dick to joke about cats chasing birds, but it's Jason that has to answer why later on in the night and Jason is just so embarrassed but petulance wins out so he grumbles, 'well why do you chase her, huh?' And Bruce becomes that meme of a man contemplating life at various locations throughout the manor and Gotham proper.

Oh! Dick is a cat burglar first and foremost. But also something of a Robin Hood with pawning found things to support those that need it. Jason is so taken after witnessing that, though he keeps his knowledge of it to himself. He doesn't think Dick would stop or abandon whatever purpose he's found in helping others, but still. It's such a genuine thing - Jason doesn't want to intrude on it.

But also Dick sometimes joining in on the Bat's vigilantism. Sometimes he's bored and there's plenty to be done so Dick just shows up and gets involved. And Bruce hates it so much, but Dick is good at it. And he works so well with Jason. But Bruce is haunted by Jason's crush and life is OTL

More rambles: the first time they hang out without the cover of the night? It's not a date, Jason swears to Bruce. But Bruce is still so miffed over it all because Jason is babygirl (later in life, Dick will snicker because 'you bet he is [babygirl] ԾᴗԾ'). Anyway, first hangout? It's casual. It's nice. Do they get into trouble? Of course, but they're not caught, you know? And Jason wouldn't say that Dick is a bad influence. The casual pickpocketing is on choice marks and it goes to good causes and Jason's morals have always been more grey than Batman's, so. Dick picking Jason's wallet only to leave a flirty note in it for Jason to find later AHHH. It becomes a thing. Most often they don't catch each other, but sometimes they do and that adds to the fun and playful and youthful flirts.

Leaving off on Damian here because omgggggg I love any AU that puts Jason and him in one anothers' orbit asap. Damian imprinting on Jason, too? Sign me up. Peak content.

So yes, Jason's still older when Damian comes around. Dick and he aren't anything official, per se, but there's commitment there. And yeah. Dick fully anticipating a cozy night in with this boy he's adored for years only to open the door and see Jason standing there holding the hand of some kid and like - what?

'Is he mine?' A weak joke to convey his confusion. Which Jason rolls his eyes at because 'not this time.' And Dick knows Jason is oblivious so he's made a joke about Dick philandering with someone else, but uh. No. Never. So Dick snickers and makes it clear that he was talking about Jason with a casual, 'well, whenever you're ready.' Which makes Jason flush in that way Dick likes so much. But Dick can't even really enjoy it because he abruptly realizes, 'wait, is he yours?' Not that it'd be a big deal, but what?

Brother, Jason explains and huh. Yikes. Dick will have to check in on Selina. This is - news.

Damian giving Dick the most dour of looks because contrary to his young age, he understands Dick's 'unsavory' intentions. Dick recognizing the fire of competition in the set of Damian's jaw and aw, fuck.

Especially at the start where Dick's place in Jason's life is threatened/forcibly changed without warning and Damian is still so damn young - it's tough. There's a lot of jealousy and animosity and it's both comical and exasperating. As Damian gets older and everything settles though, things get better. Dick and Damian still get competitive and ornery with one another, but it loses its edge. It becomes their dynamic.

And Jason is just so, so adoring of this man that fits himself into Jason's life so well despite all the hassles and troubles and drama being with a bat brings. ˉ̞̭(′͈∨‵͈♡)˄̻ ̊

Very much a side note: saw in a post somewhere with a concern about Jason's alias changing to 'Crow' and like. Valid. But it'd be really cute for an AU like this where he still works with Batman but isn't actually 'Robin'? Right? Idk the vibe is cute. The angst with Joker making a joke of beating Crow with a crow-bar is also very tragic in this sort of timeline.

YES. omg i will always respond to a comment because they make me wildly happy. although sometimes (currently), i feel too overwhelmed to reply right away and i end up with an overflowing inbox. right now i have 200 unanswered comments that i WILL reply to 😂

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

as far as finished fics, Hate the Way It Feels So Good has, i guess, the most unsatisfying ending. generally i always write HEA. although i have a wip that was never supposed to end happily: Wicked, to Let Me Dream of You.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i’d say Sweet Surrender is the happiest considering all the angst you have to read to get there 😂 but like i said, most have a happy ending

8. Do you get hate on fics?

generally, no. but i have gotten more hate than anyone i’ve talked to about it! (certain word choices ‘ruining’ an entire fic for someone, grammar corrections, people telling me i’m a liar when i didn’t upload fast enough… all mostly surface stuff that hasn’t been too bad yet 😩)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

the real question is: have i ever not written smut? and the answer to that is no. what kind? every kind. tame, not-so-tame, porn with plot, porn with feelings, gross stuff, cute stuff, you name it 😉

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

not really. the closest i’ve been to writing a crossover is How I’d Kill, in which the first few chaps are pretty inspired by ACOTAR.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not copy and pasted, as far as i know. there have been a few instances where i’ve noticed bigger accounts posting eerily similar plot lines to some of the stuff i’ve written, but i’m 100% sure it’s just coincidence. we have to remember nothing is outright original when it comes to plot. as long as you’re not intentionally plagiarizing someone’s work, similarities are bound to happen.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

no!! i’ve never had a translation, a pod fic, or artwork done for any of my fics! i’m just out here in my own little bubble lmao

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

i haven’t! although i’ve definitely talked about it with @the-unforgivenn!! i get nervous because i’m such a procrastinator when it comes to getting my own fics done—i don’t want to drag someone else down 😂

14. What’s you’re all time favourite ship?

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

i honestly hope/plan to finish ALL of my posted wips, even though a couple are on pause. there’s a few saved on my laptop that I’m sure will never see the light of day hahaha

16. What are your writing strengths?

i’m blind to my own writing so it’s hard to say. i’d like to think just general improvement as i’ve written more/read more. a lot of repeat readers have complimented me on how i write angst so maybe that?!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

i could write an essay on this. first—no matter how many times i read through my fics—there’s some autocorrect that i missed or a spelling error or just SOMETHING 😂 not to mention the procrastinating. always getting major writer’s block. and generally being very hard on myself.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i MIGHT be able to get away with a few french phrases here and there, being half french, but in general i only know english well enough to write. reading? LOVE it. make all the characters multilingual—i’ll have google translate ready.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

stranger things 🥹 and most likely will be the only fandom i ever write for. (unless you count the RPF i wrote and will NEVER publish about joseph quinn 💀)

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

i personally think my best written fic is How I’d Kill, but Sweet Surrender will always be my favourite just by default—there was no better feeling as a first time writer reading the lovely comments that i got on that fic. i’ll never forget it 🥹

He's read a fuckton of history textbooks, and knows extremely outdated ways to interact with princesses. Sonia has no idea what he's on about, and assumes its just a Japanese thing.

He's not just scared of being murdered... he's scared of everything. Nekomaru didn't know fear of cows was a thing before he encountered Kaz. As a result, he's not completely incapacitated by fear at BDAs.

Akane expects him to have a hyperspecific invention for every situation. He never does until somewhat late in the game.

He puts [insert gross condiment of your choice] on everything, and Teruteru is HORRIFIED. Disgusted. Hell, if you like Teruteru as comic relief, he could be like "well, I HAD a boner for you, but seeing THAT completely killed the mood."

He lies about things that no person would ever think to lie about in a class trial. "Yes! I was in my room... washing my hands! Totally not drawing up blueprints or anything like that hahaha" every time, its unrelated to the murder.

He's allergic to hamsters, so every time Gundam gets into his personal space he sneezes like a dad.

I guess I’m just really curious about the first TL Rupert. So in the manwha (I haven’t fully read the novel, only so much I could translate to understand), every time Lari remembers her first life, she always says that Rupert never spoke to her and barely made eye contact even during her trial. He also wasn’t fully in front of her when she was sent to the guillotine, and I guess through out of body says he doesn’t even look happy about her dying.

So I guess my question is: why did Rupert prolong her death so much? Why did he just leave her? In prison for months after he killed her whole family (no one knew her origins except a select few that are already dead), did he feel bad, or maybe he saw her as pitiful because she was just an innocent victim in the situation, or maybe I’m just thinking too much into it?

OOh i love discussing TL1 Rupert. Because we don't have much information about him at all, and Rupert and Lari's POV are just so contradictory. What I mean is Lari initially thought he was a psycho tyrant murderer, but then later thinks he's just a misunderstood guy she scapegoated, while we find out in S4 of the manhwa, that Rupert totally think it's 100% possible for him to be a psycho tyrant murderer :'D Short answer: I agree with all your thoughts! ^^ Long answer: Anyways yes, in TL1 Rupert and Lari didn't know each other at all, were in completely different social circles, and only exchanged like 2 sentences of formal greetings at her debutante. The main idea being they didn't know each other at all, and whatever opinion Lari had of him was her own conclusions about his character (that ironically, turned out to be right on the dot).

What I found interesting, was how she described him during the trial: He was sitting/standing a bit aways, observing her with a stern expression. He didn't seem happy - rather, indifferent. He didn't seemed at all pleased that she was being condemned. He also had an unusual "crooked grin" when they made eye contact, but the interesting part is she describes his "gentle green eyes that didn't match his violent personality"

This manhwa panel when they cross paths again at some point, also shows his overwhelming indifference, when she begs and screams at him yet he continues walking past her:

Here, on the day of her execution Lari imagines after her death - she imagines him being pleased, sneering and laughing at her. Yet the manhwa shows his expression as something more akin to that crooked grin from the trial - as if he felt pity for her and was laughing a "what a poor thing" laugh rather than a "hahaha serves you right" laugh. Hmmm...

Based on these clues from Lari's POV from TL1, and knowing Rupert's current personality (which has been established he's the same person but making different choices), it paints a picture that he's still the same indifferent person as ever, who doesn't care about those not involved in his circle/the people he trusts. He's the type to strike first before he gets hurt, and this is the same: he knew about Lari's origins, and got rid of her before she could become an obstacle. This is further supported by the upcoming Ch 118 when S4 is released: the novel version gives us Rupert's POV on what he thought of when he read Lari's diary detailing him as a psycho tyrant murderer. His response is pretty much "yeah, I can see myself doing that". Her descriptions of him brutally murdering the Empress, Arnulf and Grand Duke? Yup, he agrees he would do that. Executing House Belois for not only treason, but for hiding Akan's princess? Even if she didn't have any drop of actual royal blood, he would get rid of them all? Yup.

Because that was TL2 Rupert's original plan as well.

Recall manhwa chapter 45: Rupert had a hit-list of those around his age he needed to be wary of, and to get rid of some day if they continue to be a threat. He deemed Riche as not important, but Lari and Lehan were particularly troublesome. It's mentioned quite a few times, and finally directly in the next season, that Rupert believes he would have surely been such a murderous tyrant in TL2 if he had not met Lari. He could not refute the fact that "TL1 Rupert" wasn't him, because they shared the same methods/plans/thought process, and the only difference is because he knew Lari and was influenced by her in this timeline.

SO, going back to your question anon:

After RupeLali reunite, Rupert gives us a bit more of his POV regarding TL1: He admits that yes, he knows his own cruelty better than anyone, and to protect his throne he'll do ANYTHING, like completely eliminating his enemies.... but... he thinks MAYBE he had SOME hesitation too? I can't find the exact passage, but I'm fairly sure TL1 Rupert also knew that Lari was ignorant about the whole thing, but still ended up killing her. But in any case, I agree with your thought process. I believe House Belois was captured and killed quickly in March, while she was allowed to live outside at the manor until it was burned down and she was arrested soon after, and then executed in August. A reasonable conclusion is because TL1 Rupert felt some hesitation in killing an innocent, ignorant Lari. She's done nothing to warrant death, except by simply existing. That's why the trial was rigged: She was sentenced not only to death for being associated with House Belois's treason (which they were caught before they actually implemented it so it would make sense why it would be so hard to believe) as well as random excuses like "failing to act like a noble".

Yup look at that guilty judge making stuff up about her to sentence her to the guillotine >:( Again, if we take TL2 Rupert's character and project it onto TL1 Rupert, it's assumed he still has the basic personality trait of "not being bothered to harass, bother, or hurt others, because he doesn't care about them at all. He is not violent unless he's hurt first and retaliates." This also suggests that he might have delayed judgement on Lari because she's innocent, and he's actively punishing her... which would leave a bad taste in his mouth. But after thinking and pondering, he eventually makes his decision: he's a very careful guy, and he will prioritize his life/safety over the potential that Lari can somehow strike back and steal the throne back from him. HIS LIFE GOAL is the throne. Even if she doesn't know her own origins, and no one else knows as House Belois is gone, just the fact she has the blood of Akan is a threat enough, and he will get rid of her. Readers might also ask: Why doesn't TL1 Rupert just marry Lari to obtain legitimacy of the throne?

Simple answer: He would rather be alone than marry someone he doesn't trust. Lari is a nobody to him, so therefore she is out of the question. If anything, her legitimate bloodline is a threat to him, so she should be eliminated.

This was really fun to write, I started with a totally different scenario… it was very happy and colorful, but I ended up with this one hahaha, hope you like it. I know I do.

Uncontrollable tears ran down your cheeks.

Looking down you swallowed for the fourth time your gag. Doing your best not to vomit.

Looking at your hands, they were completely red from the fallen man's blood.

What the fuck had you done?

No, it was his fault. He did this to himself. He killed himself when he decided to force himself on you. you had no choice.

You had never used your knife with such rage. When Tommy gave you this knife you thought you would never, ever have to use it against anyone. “Aime for the neck”, he said as gave you the carved wooden handle knife. And you did. But he didn’t tell you it would be this bloody… this messy.

You felt the man’s blood run down the skin of your arm, just like water did when you showered. The smell of the blood getting more and more intoxicating. it even felt like blood had gotten into your nose, and you didn't doubt the fact that you could have.

You couldn’t move, not even open your mouth to ask for help. You were frozen. You watched the man’s life slowly fade away in front of you. Your vision was blurry, and you felt like you were about to faint yet you stood frozen.

You could hear strong and quick footsteps approaching you.

“Y/n?” you heard him call. who? you were not sure.

You could see a man getting closer. you felt him holding your arm and running his hands over your body as if he was looking for something.

"Are you okay?" he asked as he continued to search "did he hurt you my love?" he asked again. His hands went to your face, holding them between his hands. "Y/n?" he called, slightly shaking your head. Making your vision adjust and you could finally recognize the face of the man in front of you

"Tommy?" you asked and he nodded

“Yes, I am here,” he said as he wrapped his arms around you “fuck, I’m so glad you are ok” he held you tight against his chest, not worrying about the blood that would get his expensive suit. Your breathing was all over the place, you felt like you had no control over it, at all. No control over your body.

You leaned against him, allowing the weight of your body to be held by him. Relieving yourself from the stress and the tension building in your body. And burying your face on his neck as you com continued to cry.

“You are ok,” he said in your ear, trying to soothe you. trying to make you feel better “Everything is ok”.

Nothing was ok. You had just killed a man. A disgusting man. But yet, it was a life. You had taken a life.

“What the fuck happened in here?” you heard Arthur’s angry voice.

“Fucks sake” you heard Polly curse

Tommy didn’t answer, he just kept whispering soothing words to you, trying to keep you calm. As you were still crying uncontrollably on his shoulder.

“Come here,” Tommy said, letting go of you and leading you to sit on one of the chairs in the betting shop.

As you walked, you could see small Finn looking at you like he had seen a ghost. Poor thing. He was in here when everything happened, you told him to hide when the drunk man walked inside the betting shop after closing hours. You assumed he was the one who called Tommy, he was having a family meeting, so there was no Shelby around, no one to help you, no one to do the dirty work.

“Get her some water” Tommy ordered kneeling in front of you as you stared blankly at nothing.

“Fuck Tommy. It’s a bloody cop” John said after he searched the man's corpse.

Tommy gave no attention to what he had said. He was worried about you, you were in a state of shock. A state he had never seen you in before. You looked like a blank page in a book.

“A fucking cop, ey? We are done. This is fucked. They will come for us! We took one of them” Arthur said stressed

“for the love of God shut your mouth! let the girl pull herself back together” Polly warned them

Finn came back running with the glass of water and gave it to Tommy. “Come, love, drink this,” he said, putting the cold glass on your lips. You drank it, slowly.

Drinking the water calmed your breathing and your crying. for a brief moment, you could feel yourself slowly getting your pieces back together.

“Tommy, what should we fucking do?” John asked

“We need to be smart, that’s what we need to do. We could use this to send a message” Arthur said, a bit agitated.

“Shut the fuck up, eh?” He said, looking at his brothers for a moment “not now!” He looked at you again, and caressed your thighs trying to bring your attention to him “y/n, please talk to me” he said “are you ok? Did he hurt you?” He asked and you denied with your head, he breathed deeply and nodded relieved.

“I didn’t know… that he was a cop... I am sorry” you said out of breath, between your gasps for air as the crying made it harder for you to breathe “he gave me no choice... I-I...”

“It’s ok, eh,” he said looking at you gently as he caressed your face “there is no reason for you to be sorry, love. Little Finn told us what he saw. Now, take a deep breath, eh. It’s over” you did as he said. You took a slow and very deep breath “good that’s it. Another” you breathed in again and again and again. Until you calmed down and the tears stopped.

Now that you were calmer you could see who was in the room. Polly was smoking her black cigarette and looking at you with concern. John and Arthur stood side by side one looking more stressed than the other. Little Finn was sitting next to you, he was holding the glass of water he had brought to you, he looked so worried.

Looking at Tommy, you could see he was also worried. He held your hand, but you only noticed now that you held his, and you held it so tightly that your nails were probably digging into his skin. But he wasn't complaining. No…he wanted you to feel safe and if a little bruise on his hand is what it costs, then so be it. You let go of his hand and nodded at him.

“I’m better,” you said in a whisper

“Good” he gave her a gentle smile “Poll, could you run a bath for her?” He asked looking at her and nodded leaving the room. He got up and walked over to the dead man's body. He spat on the corpse “throw him in the canal,” he said.

he was so angry that he felt like punching the dead man, but he controlled himself for you. You didn't need to see more violence. He swore that even if the man were still alive, he would find the most painful way to take his life from him.

“But, Tommy… that could start a war with the fucking cops,” John said

“It wasn’t us. They know how we peaky kill. They won’t suspect us” Tommy said “it’s the easiest way”

“What if someone sees us?” Arthur asked

“What are you a fucking amateur? Don’t be seen” Tommy said pointing at his brother “ask for Jonny dogs help. Take fucking care of this, eh?” He walked back to you get some peaky kid to clean this mess” he added before he kneeled in front of you again “let’s go take a shower, love” he held your hand and pulled you up making you walk in front of him to his bedroom.

Helping you take your clothes he supported you as you entered the bathtub. The warmth of the water was exactly what you needed.

He took off his overcoat and shirt and kneeled by the side of the bathtub. Dipping his hand on the water he gently took it to your face, cleaning the blood. He then got the soap and told you to close your eyes as he cleaned it properly now. After he finished your face, he went to your neck and shoulders.

“You did what you had to do, y/n. You get that right?” He asked and you nodded, seeing how red the bathtub water had gotten “and I am glad you did. Otherwise I wouldn’t be cleaning his blood from you. I would be cleaning yours from the floor” he said and you swallows harshly

“I know,” you said

“Good. I know it is hard. The first it’s always hard. But I am here for you, I will always be here for you. I meant it when I said for better or for worse” he said and you smiled remembering your wedding day.

You two were married just a month after he returned from the war. He came back different, but to you, he was still the same warm, loving Tommy.

You stayed faithful to him after he left, you sent him letters every month. “It's what kept me going… the dream of coming home to you,” he said as you lay naked in his arms during the first night you spent together after he returned. He had so many scars you didn't recognize…physically and emotionally, and you were getting to know and understand all of his changes… Holding him after every nightmare and affirming your love every time he got unsure or scared about things, even though he would never admit to being any of those things. Now it was his turn to put on a brave face and be there for you, even if it broke him seeing you like this.

“Will this be bad for you?” you asked and he shook his head

“Don’t worry about it, eh?” he said and smiled at you “everything will be taken care of, ok?” you nodded

“I think I want to get out of this tomato soup,” you said referring to the red water you were in and he chuckled

"Yes, it's a good idea," he said helping you up and putting the towel around your body, helping you dry

“I love you,” you said and he smiled

“I love you too, with all my heart,” he said and kissed you lovingly.

The rest of the day he stayed with you, making sure you were okay. He even took you for a walk in the woods, as if nothing had happened. And it helped, your mind stoped worrying too much, making things easier.

hm, so. hi! first of all, i am thinking *a lot* about the grad school universe, so thank you for creating something so amazing? second of all, sorry about the rambling i'm about to do.

so, i was stalking the tag of this universe and saw that tweet of the "crying, manipulative and whore" emoji, and you said it was giving you cady vibes. and then i realized that most of the situations we've got to see of cadina involve regina messing up in some kind of way and cady dealing with that. but! i'm really curious to know about a situation that is the opposite. cady is just in a bad mood and regina is left to deal with it. cady messes up in some kind of way and regina doesn't have it within her to know how to proceed.

i did saw cady liking to tease regina in a lot of ways in your fics, but it still makes me think! i get that regina is very insecure on a lot of things about herself and their relationship, like questioning how cady chooses her even after all these years, even if she drives her crazy. quoting the third chapter of your fic (i am obsessed, yeah, sorry), "Regina hates when they fight. She hates that it's always her fault. She hates that she never learns.", it makes me think. there is no way is always regina's fault! i choose to believe that she is just too insecure to realize a time when cady was the one that started a giantic fight for no big reason.

and also! in the fourth chapter, we've got to see cady being jelous of regina, and regina is pretty cool about it. is there a time when regina does not get cool about, but freaks out instead?

i'm sorry if i am sounding rude, please know it is not my intention (i do not have a way with words, mainly in english, lol). i just really wanted to share this thought. i hope i was able to explain my confused mind right now. anyways, i love your writing and your imagination! thank you for creating this amazing fic. sorry again!

first of all hi! thank you for reading and thinking sm about this universe! i assure you it consumes my entire state of mind. i put your answer under the cut, as it got super long!

yes there are definitely a lot more scenes and aspects of their relationship to explore as the universe grows. it's mentioned they break up all the time but we haven't really seen that yet and what it looks like, so i definitely have plans to explore that. as far as cady messing up, of course it's not always regina's fault! that would be unrealistic. but yeah for sure, regina is super insecure and after she cools down from a fight, i think she definitely realizes that she is a catalyst for certain situations and fights, and she almost always escalates dramatically. i mean. that's just who she is. so even if it's just something small they're bickering about, sometimes she's liable to push too far or hard and then cady will get actually mad, so regina has to find it in herself to try to apologize/deescalate which isnt always easy for her, thus making her feel once again like it's her fault.

i think there are definitely situations though where cady is in a bad mood or something and regina has to deal with that. that also is a bad cycle because regina doesn't always know what to do or how to act, and i think it's easy to argue she likely wouldn't have the best track record of making good choices when it comes to dealing with cady's ~emotions~. Regina's go-to is anger or deflection... I think if Cady was upset Regina's suggestions wouldn't always be what Cady was looking for in that moment. And then that pisses cady off, trapping them in a cycle of fighting or bad moods. this relationship is the epitome of healthy relationship goals obviously.

as for the tweet about about being a crier manipulator and whore with the 🥺 emoji LOL, i was definitely not thinking about this in the context of them fighting hahaha. i was thinking of cady like totally preying on regina being whipped for her and down bad for her cute face and so she can get her way sooooo easily. regina doesn't always start a situation by being all about pleasing cady but you know she ends it that way because she can't stand when cady is mad at her for more than 20 minutes, and even when they're being playful and not fighting, i think regina is almost always first to cave! regina has spent her whole life getting what she wants... i think there is something so desperate in her to have this script flipped and cady for sure knows it. hence why she thinks cady was sent to torture her personally. i understand this is just a personal read of her character and their relationship so if people disagree that's totally cool lol.

as far as jealousy goes, regina definitely has had times where she hasn't reacted as cool with cady being hit on etc. but it's very situational. i think regina experiences a constant battle between feeling superior and inferior. for instance, she's not gonna look twice at some freshman hitting on cady. regina is so far above that kid she knows it's irrelevant and even acknowledging him is insulting to her. but at the same time she definitely feels insecure that cady might emotionally connect with someone regina thinks is more......... for lack of a better word, stable? than she is. regina is aware that she is extremely reactionary so sometimes she just says whatever and does whatever and gets mad or upset but she doesn't mean it, or she just needs to walk away and come back, and she probably sometimes feels insecure cady will want someone less volatile. cady doesn't obviously. cady understands this about regina and even if it pisses her off and drives her crazy sometimes, it's not a deal breaker.

welp hopefully that was some fun meta for you because this got long! this ship is fun to play around in the sandbox because they are both a little too obsessed with each other and that makes them act pretty extremely sometimes. but they're still the biggest softies for each other. okay cool thanks for the ask i should go now before i write 10k more analysis.

I played the remaster of Katamari Damacy (in a form I will describe as "I am not paying for the same game twice, even if when I paid for it was almost 2 decades ago") and am starting on the remaster of We Love Katamari

I know it's been the premier "weird Japanese game" example since it came out, but I do really love how inexplicable it is. this is something that does not make more sense with context. it is what it is

the Switch version is not much of a remaster, you'd think they'd change the physics to be the more refined ones in We Love Katamari but no. it's almost entirely a port

as for We Love Katamari, I think it's one of those truly perfect play experiences, alongside Warioware Touched. I am definitely more of a story person and don't mind "bad" gameplay at all, but even I can appreciate a technical masterpiece. it's so satisfying, like popping bubble wrap. and I do like the story of We Love Katamari as well, I like that it's basically "so you want another Katamari game? here you go, peasants". it's funny in this game but the subsequent sequels released without the involvement of the original game designer make it a little bittersweet

the cutscenes of the King of All Cosmos' backstory are so good. look at the lil guy. and I see that the remaster actually adds stuff, there are levels based on that backstory here, which is an interesting choice and I will give my thoughts on them once I play them

The King of All Cosmos is such a mysterious guy. you do see a softer side of him in We Love Katamari but he's still ultimately capricious and immature and recreating a cycle of abuse. he's also the weirdest dude ever. I like the disjointed way he talks, and yes it's similar in Japanese. it all makes it satisfying when you get a really high score and he praises you, you feel like you totally crushed it hahaha

the Prince is so cute... my favourite royal present is the wig, I love his little side part... apparently this remaster has a SELFIE MODE, once I give him hair I will try it out hahaha

by the way, my favourite level besides the big last one is the one where you roll up 1000 paper cranes
