Hi! I LOVE your DYF series and I’ve been reading all the side stories, too! I just read the one where Reader goes on a mission alone with Gojo, and saw in the little end notes that you mentioned bubbles when thinking of Reader’s technique.

Personally, I IMMEDIATELY thought of those hydro Abyss mages in Genshin Impact that trap you inside a bubble😭 (I noticed the Alhaitham fic, so I’m assuming you know the absolute nuisance those things are, HAHA).

I also remembered that Reader has a sort of black hole(?) that she can go in and out of, which made me think of Megumi pulling Playful Cloud out of a shadow like it was some sort of storage closet, LMAO.

Anyway, I’m interested in know if you’ve thought more in depth about Reader’s cursed technique? It hasn’t been extremely crucial to the story thus far, so I’m a bit curious.

In the manga, they say that most great sorcerers are grades 1 & 2, but we lose that perspective with Gojo’s strength being a focal point in the series. Thinking about someone like Todo Aoi, who has a fairly simple technique — just annoying and disorienting, makes me want to believe that if Reader can use more wit than physical strength, that she’ll have a lot of potential!

for the bubbles, idk if you can tell but i like sea creatures, and mappa has the whole aquarium/fish agenda, so i was like ‘damn i’m gonna be so sick for this cursed technique’

so the excuse for the bubbles is to turn them into shields! much like those hydro abyss mages ahahaha. except it’s made of cursed energy and are (near) indestructible. and also she can’t drown anyone in them unfortunately

they can be destroyed, but it depends on the grade. after the star plasma vessel, i’d say dyf mc can be promoted to a grade 2 sorcerer.

anything below grade 2 will find it near impossible to break, whilst anything above will have a hard time, but will eventually break it once they overpower her

for that ‘black hole’, it’s actually more like a transportation vessel. i think i was really disoriented from drinking expired milk while writing that i took ‘ground swallowing you whole’ quite literally. it was also a way for me to characterize mc’s shame and shy nature

the whole, ‘i don’t think i can do it so i’ll hide’ kind of vibe yk?

anyway, the way to ‘properly’ use the void is to align your soul with the body, moving them in tandem as if they were one if that makes any sense

basically a teleportation skill lol haha. you ever played portals? one will be the entrance, the other, the exit. so you can quite literally pop in and out and shift the voids around.

(dyf mc has gotten stuck many times before whilst practicing)

so you can say this ‘void’ is an entrance to her soul. in a manner, i wanted to contrast her powers. one protective and doesn’t allow anyone in, whilst the other is something that needs her to trust someone wholeheartedly.

it will play quite a huge part in the upcoming chapters so i’m not gonna say anything more lol

Just general thoughts on the chapter (jjk 236 leaks)

Be warned of jjk manga spoilers!!!

One thing I thought was interesting was why gojo said bye to the others even though he died? Judging by the imagery it does look like they're all gonna go to the same place (afterlife) and yet gojo still doesn't go with them. My only thoughts on this is either gojo is still alive (similar to the first time he fought toji), gojo as a curse (? Its possible but idk if he had any real regrets here) or akutami just wanted to do it that way (most possible one imo LMAO)

Another thing i found interesting was the sudden topic about gojo's father. We still have little to no information about the gojo family outside of satoru himself, so I'm more than interested to learn more especially considering how six eyes is bonded to tengen/the star plasma vessel and whether anyone in that family knows good ol' Lore

Other than that really, kinda disappointed in the fight. No I'm not surprised or even sad gojo died I've always been on team gojo will die somehow, it's just the execution of it was lacking. But upon reflecting on it a bit, deaths in jjk haven't always been satisfying really and they often come suddenly. The only death I found the most heartwrenching was nobara's (im on team she's still alive btw). Nanami was also a close one but he really just Died like that lol (don't get me started on yuki's death too)

It's a weakness to the story, which has become more apparent the closer we get to the ending and where the emotions need to be stronger to get a satisfying climax.

The issue with gojo's death is that it happened Right after his unsealing. To put it into perspective, we spent 130 chapters without gojo (91 to 221), whereas from his unsealing to his death was only 15 chapters. Now im not saying his death shouldn't have happened, but what I am arguing is that there was no real buildup for it to be satisfying.

Between those 15 chapters, akutami made a three month timeskip and we barely know what they did in that time. I know the whole point is so those things can be brought up later as a surprise (especially since whenever we do know plans for our mcs they always tend to go wrong) but at the very least they could have added some sort of emotional buildup to it.

Of course, one thing about jjk is that it certainly does not always feel predictable so who knows what's gonna happen. Like i mentioned earlier, its possible that gojo is in fact alive, and I would be more than happy if he fought kenjaku instead later, but also the idea of bringing him alive again is so....idk. It feels wishy washy (but then again yuji has also died twice so who am I to say anything right)

Anyway overall it was an alright chapter, I don't hate it but could have been better! All I'm looking forward to is sukuna vs yuji now (whenever that happens i guess lol)

honestly gojo doesnt have any right to act all entitled over mc, like i get youre scared and shit about losing her and your guilt is eating you up but he already let her go in the first place, so why act like youre the one being hurt when you did the damage yourself, it wont hurt to give her some space to heal and move on. him and rie are alike, they both do stupid impulsive decisions without thinking it out properly not to mention those decisions have so much weight to them yet they act on it on the spur of the moment

honestly ive read asks about gojo and rie prior to reading it, and i thought they’d be much much worse people. they have good intentions really but god their execution is horrible which makes the whole situation so bad, but the way i see people portray them seems like they rub their rs on mc’s face, stepped on her toes and spit on her face nd told her shes never good enough so he replaced her, which doesnt seem like the case? but who knows maybe rie would turn out to be worse by the end lmao

but the frustration aside i love seeing how this shit goes down, i cant imagine an ending for it rn which makes me so much more excited for the next chapters, anyway take care always and never feel rushed to update, i feel like a proud mama seeing ur blog grow more and more everyday ever since a few months back, love you lots kai!! <33

Hello! I know this may not be your thing but I decided to give it a shot, if not no biggy!

I was wondering if you would be interested in writing Gojo and/or Sakuna with an asexual lover? i’d say, to begin with, it would take a small while for sukuna to even be accepting of his own feelings towards you. nothing having to do with your sexuality, just you in general, specifically that you’re human and so different from him. i don’t think sex ever crosses his mind, at least at the start, because he’s too busy being really angry over the way he can’t seem to control his reactions to every little thing you do. so he himself won’t actively work at starting a relationship with you.

but he will realize, over time, that you’re not doing anything either, even though he’s been noticing that you’re not pushing him or his advances away. like any act of protectiveness that involves him physically touching you intimately, you don’t reject, and you’re always ready to retort at any quip he had. he could tell that these feelings he had for you were mutual, he was just so confused as to why you weren’t doing anything about it.

sukuna’s a thousand year old cursed spirit. he does not know shit about sexuality. i think the way he’d look at it is fuck who you want and fuck who you like. i feel like nicki minaj’s said that before, has she? he doesn’t like thinking too much about it, you know?

his confession would probably be a kiss because words? he doesn’t know them. when he feels you return the kiss he’s, deep down, elated, really, and this is simply because of his naturally sexual personality, he starts hinting at more, until you stop him. he’s really confused because you just kissed him back? you’ve been kissing him for so long why do you want to stop now? he can see the fear steadily growing in your eyes and he’s even more confused now he’s just. humans are so weird.

when you cautiously tell him, “i don’t want to go further than this. is that okay?” you look like you’re waiting for the world to erupt in your face. he just frowns and shrugs like, “yeah but that’s not the point. do you not want me?”

it takes about an hour and a half for sukuna to properly process what you’re saying. at first he’s so thrown off by it, not by you! he just can’t process the fact that someone doesn’t feel any sexual attraction towards someone or doesn’t crave sex at all. it’s not that he’s rude about it, it’s just a really foreign concept to him, you know? when you add that it’s just sex, and you’re okay with a lot of other things, the gears in his brain finally start working again and he just goes.

*shrugs* ok.

literally lmao. like i said earlier, sukuna doesn’t give a shit like whatever do what you want.

because of the rush of emotions he’s feeling towards you, and the fact that this in itself, a relationship, and a relationship with a human too, he doesn’t really focus on the fact that he might want more from you. he’s easily satisfied with a lengthy make out session, and he admits it to you every time he sees you get a little anxious or unsure of yourself.

however, his needs do grow with your relationship. it’s kind of clumsy, your transition into a proper long term relationship, especially with sukuna, but you two make it work.

you agree to try different ways to pleasure him, even if he kinda rushes through them because he’s generally just excited to have your hands on him. at first he’s content with anything you’re offering, but it makes him feel kinda useless when you won’t let him touch you and you have to remind him that your needs are different than his and that you’re sated differently.

i see sukuna as a curious and experimental guy, so he would definitely let you use toys on him. nothing too extreme, because he still needs that sense of control, but you do use some toys like a fleshlight or a vibrator to rile him up. he likes using your hand too, because it’s always so soft against him and it feels a hundred times better than any toy. he learns not to overstep any boundaries though, and not to do anything that might make you uncomfortable even if it takes him a little longer. like i said, the whole idea is just different to him, so it takes him a while to understand, and he’s still learning as he goes!

different from sukuna, i think gojō would definitely be knowledgable about things like this. idk he just seems like the kind of guy that’s innately so aware of everything around him, and can read people exceptionally well.

he probably picked up on the fact that you weren’t comfortable with sex, or just didn’t experince sexual attraction, on his own, but never really brought it up because it was never his place. but the same way he picks up on that, he picks up on your obvious crush on him. he pays both details no specific attention until he starts to realize his own feelings for you, and begins on his subtle advances.

he tried to make his advances as sfw as possible, you know? just in case his suspicions were confirmed to be true. he was just extra flirty, sometimes touchy but never in an inappropriate way. very subtilely like always having your shoulders or knees touching or dusting of your jacket or feeding you a piece of his food. cute little things like that.

he gets super worried when he notices you start to distance yourself from him, because he can’t imagine what he might’ve did to push you away. he overthinks a little, worried that he overstepped his boundaries or made you uncomfortable in any way, but he isn’t afraid to approach you about it, to make sure he doesn’t repeat his mistakes, especially with someone like you, who he’s slowly growing more and more infatuated by.

when you admit to him you’re asexual, he realizes he was right, but then he’s like, “and? did i do something?” and now it’s your turn to be confused because here you were worried about rejection but here he was worried about you?

this specific incident is what makes you let loose and finally just freely admit your feelings for him. he’s ecstatic about it, seriously! all that’s on his mind is that he gets to go on a date with someone he really likes. sex is the last thing on his mind, and yeah, you’ll eventually have to talk about it, but not for now. it’s for later, when things get a little more serious.

they do get serious, to both your delights, but the dreaded moment is approaching you. gojō definitely sits you down and says, “we’re only having this talk so i know never to do anything outside of your limits. everything about this relationship is 50/50, and i want to know ways to make you feel good, too.”

JUJUTSU KAISEN Y/N CHARACTER IDEAS FOR THE FANFIC WRITERS OUT THERE!!!

1. Y/N is the eldest child of the head of one of the most powerful families of jujutsu sorcerers making her next in line for the seat. But she cannot control her curse energy and technique. Given this situations she was constantly discriminated in the household. Even if things were like this, her father loved her and did not take the position from her.

To remove her from the lineage, the elders conspired against her giving her a special grade rank. With the fact that she has no control over her powers they thought she'll eventually die from taking on special grade missions and her father cannot do anything about this.

Little did they know, because she was on death's door they made a monster that will wreak havoc and will destroy everything on its path.

2. Y/N is a curse spirit/cursed doll who—at first—had no free will. She acted only what her creator wishes.

3. Y/N can see curses.

When she was younger she lived in the country side with her grandparents. But she started seeing curses specially in school and it affected her so much that she doesn't leave her grandmother's side. Her parents were working in Tokyo and decided to bring her there too, thinking that she won't be scared anymore because the city is always busy. But little do they know that there are more hideous and frightening curses out there.

She doesn't want to burden her family anymore so she stayed quiet while shaking in fear everytime she encounters one.

4. MC is one of Choso's younger siblings (Preferably female)

Same parents with Yuji. Her mother (when inhibited by Kenjaku [the ancient sorcerer {mentioned in chapter 145}]) had kept her a secret. The body was alive but it has no soul making her just bedridden for her whole life. Her cursed technique is that whoever and whatever touches her with cursed energy, she instantly nullifies it. Kenjaku had been experimenting on the body for years taking her on the verge of death everytime. That's where Choso see's visions of an unfamiliar girl(MC) just like when his other sibling are on death's door. Kenjaku planned to take the body as his after possessing Suguru Geto's.

Soul inhibitants options:

• MC is Isekai-ed and transported to jjk world. (I've been reading way too much historical reincarnation manhwa for this on lmao)

• Heaven blessed the body with the soul probably by the time kf Shibuya arc. Personality is like a child because it's the first time waking up to the world and she is just learning. Relationships: has a strong connection to Choso and Yuji because they're siblings. (Getting a overprotective older brother Choso yeyy!!!)

5. MC is part of the Gojo Clan

She was strong as a jujutsu sorcerer but she does not exceed their family's standards, specially being one of the strongest clan. Y/N admired Satoru so much as a kid. He was her idol and the only one who cared for her in the suffocating household. But when he started to go to Jujutsu Technical College he had made friends the same age as him and gave his all to them. Y/N had felt left out but deep inside she knew he'll have to live a life that didn't circulate on just protecting her.

The little attention she gets whenever he returned to the household during his school breaks was okay. But then some time after when she heard he had killed one member of the Zenin clan he had became cold and distant. Not long, he had permanently left the household and never visited, he had left her all alone.

In rare times when they talked he was cheerful, yes, but Y/N had became more sensitive to so many things because of the pressure of their family and Satoru didn't know her anymore.

She no longer enjoyed the time she had with him. All he does was lecture her or only talk about his students and her jealousy eats her up whenever he mentions and boast about the black-haired kid who had the shadow technique that he practically raises.

When she entered high school she had pleaded to Kyoto Jujutsu Technical College just because he hated that white-haired jerk so much. But Satoru always gets what he wants. Now she lives in constant anxiety that she thought she would've scaped from her household but now she's getting the treatment from the person who had saved from from at first.

I don't know what's the ship here lmao. But for me it's no Y/NxGojo Satoru. They're cousins here(emphasis on that).

You can use her hatred to Megumi though. Make an angsty Megumi x Y/N where they're rivals.

6. Y/N is one of Tokyo Jujutsu Technical College third year student(s).

(We got some info on one of the third years in the lastest chap so MANGA SPOILER) (Noritoshi Kamo x Y/N rivalry & secret feelings)

She's a first grade sorcerer that was suspended with her other classmate(s) and she actually liked being suspended. She hated being a sorcerer. Coming from a powerful jujustu clan she was forced to be one. She has been making all sorts of delinquent acts but her family won't let her go because she was wielding the family's powerful curse technique. But as a woman, her clan fully denies of her being the head of the family. So they are tying her down to the heir of the Kamo Clan.

She hated the boy, how he was prim and proper while she dyed her hair for several times this year. She hated him because of how he was dumb for letting his family control him. But the truth is she hated his clan for changing him to a person that has no freedom. He broke the promise that they made when they were children. That they will only marry the person they loved because their parents never did that's why they didn't loved their children(them) too.

In her eyes, she knew he didn't love her but she did. She will never admit to that fact because she knows he will just be suffocate by it. But little did she know that they have the same thoughts—and probably feelings—of each other.

(Lmao I'm going to separate this cause y'all gonna know when you read)

As a past time for being suspended she goes to best friend Takada-chan's concerts and sometime she gets invited to go to stage to perform. (Forgive me. I've been watching way too much kpop performances lately)

hi again, im the misanthrope anon! (aka ellie) i sent my last ask before reading ch7 but i have to say, you have a really delicate way of tormenting your characters and i deeply respect you for that

i've come again to curse fictional characters as if my life were depending on it

it's obvious that gojhoe not only is aware of the shallowness of his relationship with that Sera bitch but he's also deeply hurt by her lack of interest in his life and he's still not ending it because??? judging from his behaviour, his affair is "the last fortress" of his defenses when it comes to his relationship with y/n and the vulnerability he's feeling around her

it's obvious that he's terribly afraid that she'll abandon him and that same feeling could've been the reason he got together with Sera to begin with?

so long he sticked to his role of the perfect rich boy CEO, that can handle everything on his own, upon who poor little Sera could rely on him, she wouldn't leave him. so in a sense, he had his relationship with her under control like that and it's obvious that our boy has a thingy for control and dominating situations👀

ahh what else, oh! the parallels between the entire y/n-Satoru situation and his parents' drama *chef's kiss*

also y/n standing up for herself and slowly realising how shitty Gojo is treating her, while showing that he shouldn't take her as a granted ...

at first i was like "go get his stinky ass girl, i've got your purse" while being in the middle of a major bi panic but soon after this feeling faded and i could only pity her

she values her oath way too much to ever actually leave him and the whole "till death do us part" aspect of said oath is starting to frighten me ngl

also since i mentioned it, at first i was a bit annoyed with myself for not being able get into y/ns shoes while reading your works but after y/n from ufc fic i was like, you know what i could jsut simp for both the mcs instead and you've been serving!

i don't think i had anything else to say other than that this chapter was awesome! can't wait to see how this story will play out. didn't you mention we'd cry for gojhoe while reading ch8? yeah, tears of joy to finally see him get what he deserves we will (please don't hurt him too much though,,, or do you're the writer and im sure i'll enjoy whatever you'll come up with but ... 💔)

before anyone gets any ideas the opinions exhibited below are just that: my opinions. please do not come at me for stating MY opinions. if you think gojo is a fuckboy, good for you!

i’d also like to say that i hate cheating. i think it’s horrible. i hate reading about it, and while im not averse to writing it i wouldn’t write it gratuitously and i wouldn’t romanticize it either. i’ve never been in a relationship past fucking, but i truly believe that nobody deserves to get cheated on. know your worth!!!

i know the fandom has somewhat made gojo into a fuckboy caricature and ig i see how a lot of ppl took akutami saying gojo couldn’t be faithful to mean that he leads on girls and breaks their hearts but I personally didn’t interpret it that way??? i thought it just meant that gojo doesn’t do relationships. like i can see him in fwb relationships, but I don’t think actual relationships are something he’d enter into easily considering the questions that would arise pertaining to his job, his disappearances, etc. and believe or not, i do think gojo takes his job seriously contrary to how he acts. all in all, a fwb is much easier. no strings attached + you get your mutual desires taken care of.

also like gojo can be cruel and manipulative but i don’t think he’d be unnecessarily cruel and manipulative without reason and i really can’t see gojo being cruel to the ppl he’s in a relationship with??? for what??? the ego boost?? gojo’s egoistic but not in that way. it just comes off as pathetic to me and gojo doesn’t need any more reasons for me to think he’s pathetic 💀 and if he did cheat.....weirdly enough i don’t think it’d be for malicious reasons (although all cheating IS malicious.) i think gojo’s lowkey the type to self sabotage so there’s that lmao

in the end...hmmm maybe. who can say? im not akutami :D but if it’s true then i’ll choose to ignore that part of him because while i don’t like to stray from canon, if there's one thing i hate most in the world it's cheating therefore i would literally not be able to write gojo (in a romantic context) if i thought he’d cheat on rip!mc

13: Unpopular opinion about a character:

Hmm how about two:

Chuuya- The interplay between his relative lack of relevance outside of his association with Dazai and his earth-shattering strength is interesting when tied with his identity/autonomy issues, and also his relationship with Dazai.

Mori- For a character that's appeared maybe five times across the majority of the series, his plot relevance is astounding. Killing him off would actually destroy so many vital parts of the setting. Mori has been noted by multiple characters to be the only person that's keeping the Port Mafia from terroizing Yokohama. Mori, imo, is actually a character that represents the series as a whole very well. He's very obviously morally ambiguous at best, but at the same time he does, at the end of the day, act in the best interest of his city, and keep a formidable force at bay.

10: Most disliked arc, and why?

I'm going to be honest, the DOA arc is not my favorite. I feel like some chapters could have been condensed, but tbh BSD has so many things going on that Asagiri-sensei may just be introducing more things that will be addressed later, but now the tension that's been building for what seems like forever is finally coming to a resolution.

Tl;DR: Tension in the DOA arc dragged on for too long IMO.

5: Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

Yes lmao. Soukoku is an interesting pairing, but more because I would be interested to see how they recover and reconcile. They're far from anything resembling lovers in canon, and istg for a fandom based in classical literature, fools here don't quite understand that all three generations of soukoku were meant to be foils used to develop each other and not... the most toxic relationships you've ever laid eyes on lmao. And part of this, I'll admit, is because BSD doesn't lend itself to shipping very well. There's so much more substance to the series than I feel like a lot of the fandom gives it credit for.

Gojo is not All That. He has a lot of potential to be a really interesting character, but I'm just not seeing it right now.

16: If you could change one thing what would you change?

Ties into the previous, but I would lean a lot more into Gojo's sociopathic tendencies. Make him crueler. Whether he cares about his students isn't really a question but does he see them as more than just tools to further his own goals?

He shows all the classic behavioral patterns of a sociopath, and I think it could be really interesting if Gege explored that a lot more.

7: Is there anything I used to like but can't stand anymore?

This kind of goes for fandom in general but oh god, the horny. Like, I actually... prefer the term bias over simp because like... wow I appreciate a lot of characters aesthetically but bleh, watching people thirst is so uncomfortable lmao. Like part of it is just... I am... very not into degradation, but whew, y'all???

did satoru really expect y/n to be safe and sound when he transferred THAT huge amount of money to her account?? he said he left to protect her but he didn’t give her any type of closure, not even a text message saying they were done...he straight up ghosted her. the least he could do besides giving a closure would have been keeping an eye (maybe not him directly, but one of his most loyal men) on her, in order to prevent shit like the assault the day she went to the bank.

People were already speculating that his weakness was a girl and if that man from not a so powerful clan from ch.2 managed to get all those pictures of y/n then what make him think people from different clans or even just people who were involved in his world wouldn’t try to find his the rumour of the existence of y/n was true...like he might be the most powerful men but the bitch is kinda dumb

As for Naoya, mc said she’ll still be alive until she’s useful to Naoya but I do think maybe it’s just me that he cares for mc because he’s showing a softer side to mc only. Yes, he wants the power and to control people but if he really wanted y/n just for his brain and bc of the toji situation, then wouldn’t it be easier to keep her as a prisoner and not as a trophy wife (my dream😋)

THIS ASK OMG WAIT IM GONNA GO ON A ROLL AND *RANT* MIGHT NEED THE KEEP READING TAB LMFAO okay let’s talk about Earned It Satoru’s character because HAHAAHAHA he’s got to be one of the most difficult people I’ve had to characterize for this (this is mostly a character analysis, slight spoilerssss, I guess??)

this one is just a huge YESSS and shows a lot about Satoru. So it’s not really a HUGE spoiler but we can all tell Satoru was REALLY overconfident and he’s gotten so reliant on his status, power, influence that he doesn’t really think much about his actions. He’s impulsive and thinks he’s always doing the right thing (he’s not LMAO) and yes exactly! Dude didn’t even give her closure because he really thought he was being a hero, but it’ll show in future chapters how he’d developed in the past seven years and maybe we’ll even get a little sneak peeks of why he’s like this. Yeah, Satoru did NOT think about what could happen at all after he left! In his mind he was focused on “protecting” reader, but as mentioned in chapter one, he’s a super insecure person too that one of the reasons he left is because he didn’t want reader to view him as “unloveable” and he wanted to preserve that. I guess you could say he’s a man child. And LMFAO yes, he could’ve had someone keep an eye on reader, it won’t be a bother to him tbh, but it’ll be explained in future chapters on how he’s realizing the graveness of everything he’s done and how he reacts to it.

OKAY SO ABOUT THIS, IT SHOWED THE WEAK CHAIN IN SATORU’S THOUGHT PROCESSES. I really wanted to create a character who is strong and capable of a lot of things, but they’re very...hollow, you could say on the inside, undeveloped. Out of all the characters in this series, Satoru has to be the one who is falling behind in terms of maturity, he’s got a lot to learn. Meanwhile, I’d say the most developed is Naoya, and reader is mostly in the middle. also omg yes! actually the thing is, before the appearance of Naoya, the Gojo clan was considered the biggest and strongest mafia family out there. Their enemies who’d wound up hearing about Satoru’s “weakness” wasn’t going for the offense, they were trying to fish out information because considering Satoru’s defenses, they would do a lot better in learning more than full on using his weakness against him. This was where he failed because he was so confident of everything that he’d forgotten he wasn’t omnipotent - there will be eyes and ears everywhere. Honestly, Reader lasted a long relationship with him and she most definitely could’ve been hurt a long time ago, but it was Satoru’s presence next to her that kept her safe all this time. I mean, DUH, but ofc he doesn’t get that. YES HE’S DUMB THAT’S A FACT HAHAHAHAHA but don’t worry, maybe I’ll write a redemption arc for him HAHAHAHHA. the dude he killed in chapter one, the one who got pictures of reader and satoru, he wasn’t there to hurt reader or satoru at all, he knew he was going to lose, but he symbolized as one of the eventual cracks in Satoru’s plans that soon escalated into a full on downfall and he’s done his job well in taunting Gojo, pushing his weakness without direct contact, and hitting him right where it hurts. Clue: Gojo’s real weakness isn’t Reader! It may look like she is but he’s got a lot more issues than that lmfao

I AM CONFLICTED. PART OF ME WANTS TO RESPOND AS THE AUTHOR OF EARNED IT, BUT THE BIGGER PART OF ME WANTS TO SCREAM AS A CERTIFIED NAOYA SIMP BECAUSE PLEASE I’D NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT HIM. Also this isn’t a spoiler so it’s cool if I say this, but Naoya does care for Reader! The only question is why and to what extent. YES OMG I’VE ACTUALLY CONSIDERED THAT WHAT IF READER WAS JUST IMPRISONED BY NAOYA (and he totally could!) but nooo he actually gave reader so many opportunities to get back on her feet and he was there THE. WHOLE. TIME. Honestly though, I still wouldn’t 100% vouch for Naoya, I know he is toxic in his own way and we’re still just getting to his true nature. I meant EVERYTHING would be angsty, no parties are safe here! I want everyone to crumble and be hurt as much as possible because the only way to ever push someone into evolution is to make sure they’re cornered into a point of extinction or a really threatening situation first. Damn, I sound like a sci-fi movie villain but anyways, as for that happy ending HMMMM we’ll see about it! Looking at the ending I’ve planned out, I don’t know what to feel about it SPSPSPSP but aww I’m so very glad you guys like Naoya! it’s not my intention to make him the better one out of Satoru though (ALTHOUGH HE IS) because the spotlight will still be between Gojo and Reader, Naoya is more like a supporting character but he does have his own beauty!

WHY I LOVE : JUJUTSU KAISEN

A/N: Hi, yes I’m back. I’m sorry for being inactive for 60 smth days and probably going to be inactive for another 2 weeks because of exams but it’s fine. <3 I promise I binged lots of animes and I’m back with more headcanons. Also, I’m not sure if you guys would like me to do more than headcanons, but do tell if you want me to. I started this as a fun blog and hope to continue that even though I’m always inactive lol. Anyways, here you go, a jujutsu kaisen rant! Ps: these are my personal thoughts and feelings, if you don’t agree with them then fair enough! ^^

UHHH REVIEW TIME! The main characters ;)

Megumi Fushiguro

Megumi is best sasuke trope boy. By far my favorite emo boy. Why? Well, it’s mostly because when animes introduce characters like Megumi they’re all emo and have to avenge their village and kill people and are ‘brocken’ or smth idk.

But jujutsu kaisen does the whole sasuke trope a big middle finger and makes Megumi a less tsundere, and broken character.

Honestly, I never expected Megumi to have this type of personality because most animes try to give his archetype the whole ‘their honest’ when in reality they are just rude and selfish. Megumi is literally honest. My guy had no problems telling Gojou that he wants Yuji to stay as his own opinion which if you asked any of the people under this archetype they would respond with ‘Ugh, just keep him alive okay?’.

Like he is honestly sweet and even when trying to force Yuji and Nobara to leave it WASNT for his own well-being it was for theirs. Literally is the opposite of Ray, Sasuke, and any type of character that is emo and rude. Also he is one of the few characters that deserves to be as powerful as he is because he didn’t get his powers because of ‘his burning rage for the person who killed his village as he tries to avenge them.’ And he also has a bad background but is quite an average character. I just appreciate him. :)

Nobara Kugisaki

AMAZING-

Honestly though, she’s amazing. My favorite character since she literally is a girly girl yet is powerful (nothing wrong with that, it’s just wow.), which hear me out.

Most shounen anime girls fall under 3 categories of female characters.

The useless damsel in distress that is a tsundere.

‘Another Naruto reference? Seriously Mochi?’ I’m so sorry my lovely reader, but Naruto is one of the founding fathers of all Shounen anime stereotypes. So yes, another Naruto reference.

First of all, I don’t hate this characters, I actually don’t dislike them either. That being said I don’t like them. I get this neutral emotion whenever someone like idk Sakura I guess is on screen next to Aiura Mikoto (Who btw, is another underrated female character that deserves love even though the anime is crack-y.). I guess it’s because throughout all of the Arc’s and episodes, Sakura hasn’t changed or developed or even learned from past mistakes. It sucks seeing character that could’ve had potential, being boring and just bad. Also she’s ungrateful for her parents for no reason, and that just says a lot about her persona. To be honest, most Naruto female characters are like this, and I don’t want to hear crap about Hinata’s character because she barely got screen time and the only times we see her is when the creator pushes her to be next to Naruto more often or if the whole gang is together. (I watched a bit of Naruto so I could be wrong about this whole thing but this is again, my opinion.)

The dimwit and clumsy/tsundere/strong female fan service

Oh look, it’s everyone’s ‘favorite’ Erza Scarlet from Fairytail. But whoops, her whole character is just her having cleavage. Or everyone’s favorite crime Taboo Tattoo (I didn’t watch it but most fans have come together and agreed that it would’ve been a decent anime without all of the fan service.) Or maybe the stereotypical dimwit character that is clumsy?

Yeah, you know who I’m talking about right?

I feel like some animes, that are 23 minutes long, would be reduced to around 15 minutes without all the fan service (not counting the Opening or ending)

(Also all the dumb jokes, but that’s for another time.)

Looking at how many creators complain they can’t go too in-depth with their OC’s, because they don’t have much time, but they somehow can fit in a whole scene of people literally having their clothes ripped off because of how ‘delicious’ it is. Yes, I’m coming after you Food Wars. Even though I am a big fan, that doesn’t mean I can ignore the flaws. I am fair and will admit that, as far as characters go, Food Wars is shallow.

Personally, mha is also another crime with lots of fan service of 15-16 year old girls. 😀

I don’t want to get into the heated Hero Hei debate wether this doesn’t count because they’re ‘fictional’ or if it does. So moving on.

Can I mention how much Momo Yaoyorozu could’ve been an amazing character with amazing development and a cool quirk? I mean personally, I hate how Momo is now just fanservice. This queen has an amazing quirk, went in through recommendations, smart, helpful, is class Vice President, heroic, tall, thoughtful, rich but doesn’t brag about it and is humble, and just a cool character that could be delved deeper on?

Haha nope. Boobs.

This literal queen could carry this series on her back yet they have the audacity to make her have zero personality and just a background character? Like excuse me, I don’t think you understand, but Principle Nezu has more screen time than her. Literally her and Koda (Creati and Anima) could be so cool but no one ever acknowledges them. :(

Anyways let’s move on.

And finally, the love interest.

Ochako Uraraka. That’s it.

Ochako really deserves more, honestly. I was hyped up in the sports fest. because she just showed off that she isn’t backing down, and now she’s just a mindless love interest.

Honestly, I don’t like talking about this topic the most because A, it’s controversial for some reason. And B, it sucks seeing these amazing characters being watered down to just a love interest.

OH BUT NOBARA? NOBARA?

SHE DOESN’T NEED ANYONE!

She’s fine on her own, thank you very much.

I mean best scene was when she was fighting Sabrina the witch and didn’t seem to care much about scars and she just debunked all of those things and I just UGGGHHHH- <33333

Like animes try so hard to have a feminist role model by making her tomboyish and mean and a tsundere and calls anyone that looks at her a pervert.

But Nobara isn’t any of that. Nobara is fashionable and powerful. She loves shopping. She loves eating expensive. She loves Luxuries. She loves proving people she’s strong. She isn’t easily scared. She protects, and I just love her. She isn’t your stereotypical tomboy or at least she doesn’t fall into the smurfette effect or smth.

Tbh, I was worried when she joined them. I said either she’s a tomboy who’s a tsundere or a soft spoken damsel in distress, but now that I’ve seen her, I know that Nobara is Nobara. And that you all should appreciate her also.

Okay enough of that rant lol, moving on to Yuji!

Yuji Itadori

I LOVE THIS MC!

Are we going to use stereotypes again? Yes we are!

Usually shounen MCs have the worst personality either being too bland (mf MC from re-zero) or just too much of a coward/weakling/pervert/happy-go-lucky character.

I mean, if we are going to have a strong character he has to be a pervert for some reason.

A respectful character is a crybaby/weakling.

And a happy character has a dark secret side and ‘OmG lOoK hE’s SoO sc a Ry!1!1!’.

And tbh Yuji falls in the rare category.

The category that isn’t a crybaby, perverted, 11 year old that looks like he’s at least 20.

That category is what I’d like to call. The Saiki K. category.

I love MC’s like this because they aren’t too shallow, but not the whole story is about THEM and THEM ONLY.

It’s amazing to see how they still have the same personality but somehow have went through a bigger character development than all those other MC’s.

(Not disrespecting your faves, once again this is a personal opinion-)

And the way he isn’t OP and actually has trouble and the way (Slight spoilers!) that we can see that when he asks Sukuna to heal yoshino and the way Sukuna just laughs and I just like how they didn’t make Yuji just ‘become OP through the power of friendship’ and just they accepted he was dead or how his hand was cut off and he accepted it but how when he was dying he actually cried saying how he didn’t want to die showing us hey, it’s okay to cry but please don’t cry when you win a prize or competition or something. (End of spoilers!)

Ugh I just love Yuji being an MC. Again, he is one of those few rare MC’s with interesting character design, and personality without overwhelming it or just underwhelm it.

Are you planning to show something more romantic between the characters? Not only them holding hands but confessing their love for each other and begin a romantic relationship? I mean when the manga will have been finished. Or will they end up constantly pining for each other?

so i’m going to answer this bc I think I have similar asks in my askbox, but at the same I’m also going to ramble about love, intimacy, platonic relationships, and rip!mc and gojo’s relationship.

tldr; yes.

the shibuya arc is where it’s all going to change. rip!mc and gojo have a...while I wouldn’t say co-dependent relationship, she’s definitely used to gojo texting her all the time and him always being there for her in general, vice versa, despite the distance between them.

i can’t find where i said it but in response to a different ask, I said that rip!mc and shoko are going to have a serious conversation about gojo and how rip!mc shouldn’t be denying herself happiness. also because shoko (arguably) deals with death the most, she on some level understands death and how rip!mc’s parents’ deaths affects her to this day.

i feel like people have a misconception on this blog that it’s rip!mc’s fault (well, not fault) but her recalcitrance towards relationships that’s holding the two of them back from a romantic relationship. when in reality, it’s not. gojo in a relationship with anyone that isn’t geto is going to require work and effort (even after they kiss. once the two are in a relationship, they’re going to have to reinstate boundaries with one another, boundaries that didn’t exist until they became a couple and we all know gojo sucks at boundaries)

when I decided to make ripverse a “thing” I wanted to specifically highlight gojo and relationship issues. but also yes, at the same time I shouldn’t put the whole blame on gojo when to a degree it is rip!mc not wanting to be in a romantic relationship. and gojo would be able to respect that decision if it were really her choice, and not some defense mechanism in response to trauma she’s never addressed.

but when I get asks like this (nothing against you or the others anon!!!) I can’t help but wonder if people really do view intimacy different when it’s romantic love vs. platonic love, because for me, those gestures and affirmations of love are very similar, if not almost the same. gojo and rip!mc genuinely enjoy each other’s presence, and being with one another, romantic or not. and while gojo would prefer that extra step into romantic love, because he’s greedy like that he’s not going to push so this is the one area he can’t be selfish in. i would think that he gets frustrated sometimes, but he definitely wouldn’t take it out on rip!mc for that. if anything when he does get frustrated with her, it’s because she, like shoko says, is denying herself happiness. so it’s not because he wants to be with a relationship with her (although he does), it’s because she is harming herself.

gojo is also in no way equipped to handle rip!mc’s trauma lmao so that is something that she herself needs to acknowledge and overcome first.

I do understand people’s impatience, but to me, and from what I’ve seen from experiencing my parents’ extremely turbulent marriage, love has never been easy, or not complicated. but doesn’t that make it all the more worthwhile?
