Andy Apple (Reality)

Andy Apple (Nightmare Disorders)

Andy is a last gala apple and a first and only apple farmer from, he’s scopophobic and he’s scared of being looked at.

At his apple farm, Andy got kidnapped to the void by the entity (Peter Pumpkin) while his right shoe slipped off because it’s already untied by itself and he stuck in the underworld forever with his arms tied up behind his back, he has no choice but to live and survive in here because there’s only darkness, coldness and emptiness and Andy must survive sickness, starvation and thirst without food or water. when he’s insane or distressed, he pace back and forth while standing up and bite one of his legs while laying down on the ground and he throws his tantrum, he crying and screaming while pacing back and forth and bite one of his legs. He's not ready to go back to home yet

Andy gets lost in his daydreams of being back home and reunite with his friends, being in hospital while being healed and covered in bandages, back in his apple farm and farming, delivering and saling apples but still covered in bandages

Personality: sadness, depression, anger, pain, insanity, stressed out (pacing back and forth and bite legs)

The void is a dark, cold and empty realm with no portals, doors, entrances, exits, food, water, light, weapons, tools, laundries, cleaning stuffs or supplies, only darkness coldness, emptiness and shadows and that’s where The Entity and Monsters live

The Entity is a black monster in a appearance of humanoid black widow with a pumpkin head

Abilities

Possession

The Entity can possess human beings, a notable victim being Thomas. It seems that one can be possessed when one feels extremely negative. The Entity forced Thomas to pick up an axe to kill Arthur.

Intelligence & Manipulation

The Entity is a very intelligent and manipulative creature. It is evident when it was most likely the one that burned Thomas's home and made it seem like Arthur was the culprit, and when it made Thomas think that Isabella was behind Louis' death.

Invisibility

Most of the time, The Entity lacks a visible form or is simply not able to be seen by others while it's stalking.

Soul Imprisonment

It can imprison dead souls in the CSMPC and put them in the characters of a game. It seems that the more souls it has, the stronger its power will be.

Game-Switching

It can switch between games at any time (or also switch in the real world). It used this ability to transfer Jeffrey from Rabbit Knight to Andy's Apple Farm (From Rory the Rabbit to Sammy the Sunflower).

Telepathy

The Entity utilizes a game's code to display messages (usually in the form of hexadecimal, Caesar password, Atbashi password, and other codes), Especially when coming into contact with Thomas. This may also force him to relive his memories and demise.

Shape-Shifting

The Entity has been shown to have various forms. When it is disguised as Peter, it can distort itself by lengthening its neck, giving itself a realistic eyeball, and giving itself sharp teeth. It can also become a huge black blob composed of eyes.

Disguise

Peter Pumpkin

Peter is a 37 year old scary anthropomorphic pumpkin stranger and Andy’s abusive fake friend who appears to be helpful, friendly, kind and charming when he first meets Andy at the abandoned barn in his Apple Farm. He introduces himself kindly but remains mysterious in not answering any of Andy's questions. Peter's sentences can also be described as blank and off-putting, such as the instance where Andy asks how long he's been inside the barn, to which he blatantly responds with "That doesn't matter". turns out, He quickly reveals himself to be terrifying, abusive, sadistic and merciless towards only Andy when nobody around by terrorizing him and chasing him. He torments and slaps Andy, hits him with a whip, literally beats him up, grabs Andy by one of the limbs or overalls straps and drags him around or punches him in one of any body parts to knock him out and is secretly a malevolent being that may or may not be responsible for all the tragedies in Andy/Thomas' life. Andy didn’t say his name or know who he really was, He continues with this behavior towards only Andy or Rory. Aside from his callous behaviors, he still acts smug and happy around Andy.

He plays with his favorite toys, humans the same way a 6 year old plays with Barbies, he removes hair, limbs, etc from humans and throws them at the wall.

He has a makeshift Barbie house out of wood for his humans.

he really likes pumpkin pie and he has a boyfriend named Bauhaus bat

In overworld

Meanwhile, after Andy’s friends found Andy’s right shoe in his Apple Farm and take care of it, Margret in charge of Andy’s Apple Farm, she can deliver apples to houses, schools, hospitals and stores and sell them to customers at the Fun Faire and farmers market in pumpkin county for Andy by placing missing posters of Andy in casual clothing on to a front of a apple boxes, back of apple cider bottles, etc. she and her friends puts up missing posters of Andy on walls or poles with tapes

Hi! I recently heard about your reverse au, it's really good! Question, though, are the personalities of the Eastwoods (+ Arthur and Sam) reversed too? Dies this make the lore different? Or is AAF a normal game in this AU?

Hmm... That's a good question.

(Edit: had to change the placement of the pictures because Tumblr f***** it up for some reason)

I imagine that the characters themselves are sentient. Even without the spirits. So when Thomas and co end up in the game I lile to think of it as almost being a Venom-type situation.

I mean that the ghosts and the AAF characters are separate conscious beings, and the spirits can posses them and take control from time to time. So I guess Thomas made sentient AI

And while Thomas and the others are dealing with their family issues, the Aaf crew are just lile: "Can you just leave us out of this? Y'all are exhausting."

Here's a quick sketch I did:

I haven't really figured out whether or how Thomas and the others get Reversed personality wise. More or less, the same events happen (things like the fire, Louis drowning, Aurther dying etc.) But there is 1 key difference lore-wise.

Peter

I'll explain below the cut so this post isn't too long

Anyone who knows this Aaf Reverse Au probably remembers that Peter is basically a gentle giant.

Peter and the entity are really mysterious thing the original game. It's hard to tell if there are separate entities like everyone else or if Peter and the entity are one in the same. So in this au, that detail will still be left in the air, as I am unsure.

Things that are the same / similar to the canon game like:

Peter and Andy still meet in the barn

Peter has the same powers as shown in the game (I might take some creative liberties with his abilities since he's pretty mysterious)

The Entity/Peter put Thomas, Aurther, Sam, etc. in the game

Things that are different:

In canon Aaf, Thomas makes a deal with the entity to put his family back together (and the entity of course does it in the most demon "oh yeah, suuuure, I'll help you" way possible)

In this au, the Entity/Peter actually did want to help. Peter still does, but he doesn't entirely know how.

Not to mention, he scares people. Accidentally, of course.

after replaying aaf for the thousand time, ive finally decided to write this down cause on god this game makes me rethink everything everytime i replay it. i really wish we could have something similar to higurashis or uminekos 'answer arcs' or just answers to some crucial questions that we still don't have an answer to. and im talking about questions which are actually important to helping us discover the full picture. the cutscene we see at the end which reveals which characters are which just isn't enough, i mean everyone can put two and two together and find out which souls inhabit which character because of the clues we get within the gameplay. i mean we're literally getting introduced to a whole new set of characters in chapter 2 without even knowing the base info about our main cast.

honestly there are so many to the point i dont know where to start, like first of all what were the relationships between the characters like before they got inhabited by the eastwood souls. did they also act the same way they do now with andy before and if they did what is the reason for that? and now that they have been inhabited by the souls will they still act the same with each other? or would it impact their relationships? and most importantly how would it impact their mental health? and since we're on the topic of mental health, how is andy doing now after everything he's seen (peter, the entity, the glitches, louis's body etc,,). what about the eastwoods? after everything that's happened they must be traumatized and even depressed, especially louis since he's been in the game the longest. also in the halloween special melody accidentally calls margaret 'mom'. does that imply that isabella is directly controlling melody? and if so is isabella aware of the other souls inhabiting the characters. or did melody and margaret have a mother-daughter relationship before they got inhabited? and IF the eastwoods are directly controlling the characters, why don't they just talk with each other like they normally would? after all there's no need for any of them to keep up the video game character facade if the others know who is truly inhabiting the character. and my most important question

what was peter's role in the story BEFORE he got controlled by the entity? would his role be similar to a father figure to the main cast? considering he looks older than them (appearance wise he looks older for example the eyebags he has + his voice is way deeper). also what is his relationship with andy as of now considering everything he's done to him? alright i want to cut this short so here are last few question, is everyone else aware of the glitches or can only andy see them? if they can see them why don't they react to them? are they the ones causing them or is the entity causing them? and if the entity IS the one causing them, why aren't they concerned about them?

Hi Cara! I have a theory I’m interested to know your thoughts on.

I think HL will be admitting to their relationship at some point in the near(ish) future. This is my theory:

It’s no secret they both love kids and have said in the past they see themselves married with kids (they’ll didn’t say married to each other necessarily, but..) I mean, the Barbara Walters interview, the interview where when they were asked if their new flat was going to be a bachelor pad and Harry says that “no, it’s going to be a proper family home”, and Louis said in 2020 he wanted to be married in the future to Eleanor (eye roll).

I think HL are down to earth good people with strong family ties and the strong support of friends, so I don’t think they would bring kids into a situation where their parents literally can’t even be seen in the same public place together without confirming first that no pics will be taken and nothing will be leaked. I know there are a lot of very private celebrities whose kids live normal lives out of the public eye, but this situation is extreme. Can you imagine never taking a family trip to Disney World for fear of being outed?

I feel like as soon as the desire to start a family is strong enough, they will come out and hope for the best.

Thoughts?

Hi anon!

I really like the idea of them having kids, and I’ve entertained a similar theory for quite some time, but truth be told - there are a lot of celebs that had children and were married (even closeted ones!) that kept those completely out of the public eye and as a secret, quite successfully too.

I’m at a point where I say when we get content from Harry and Louis, it’s always meant to reach us. They’ve become masters of either staying undercover and/or using public interactions to their advantage. I don’t think it would be impossible for them to live a life basically hidden in plain sight.

Not everyone would recognise H if he’d take out that lil hair clippy, leave that bright neon pink beanie at home and wore a long sleeve, shades and a non descript cap. It isn’t impossible, you know? And he does go out and does stuff without us spotting him. He’s been MIA for days sometimes weeks during the pandemic.

So I don’t necessarily think that would be the main factor in the decision. I think especially H would love to be able to openly and aafely boast about his stellar husband and kids, but he’s aware it might simply not be possible/worth it security wise? Idk.

I’d love for this to be true obviously, and for them to invite us in and share those moments with us, but I don’t really see it happening.

As long as they’re happy, privately, I’ll be okay though

These headcannons can and may be the same or inspired by other peeps! Just a heads up! Thxs!!

Characters

🍎 - Andy / 🍻 Thomas

🍎 1. Andy plays the guitat at times, often followed my Melody singing back some choir or even with her instruments of choice.

🍎 2. A people-pleaser, which makes for many disadvantages in his side already.

🍎3. Ever need a second opinion on your recipe or not sure how to even it? ASK ANDY AND HE'LL TELL YOU! His honesty on food will surely help you make it best-tasting and attract attention to the others!

🍻1. Thomas was usually a quiet and easy-going guy, but blame the Entity for changing his personality.

🍻2. Easily the emotional man, and takes things personally and literally. Will not hesitate to punch a bitch.

🍎🍻1. Sometimes, Andy can feel something akin to 🍻s influence telling him to isolate and abandon his farm, yet he stays.

🌜 - Melody / 🌞 - Isabella

🌜1. Melody is talented with music and singing. Her specialty is more leaned with strings and cords.

🌞1. Isabella easily suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, both from family and her whole life.

🌞2. Also, she has a phobia of social rejection and truly cares and takes it personal on other's opinion and what they say of her.

🌜🌞1. Melody sometimes feels the anxiety 🌞 has, her remedy to this is to write and sing the pain away.

🦫 - Margaret / 🐾 - Kamryn

🦫1. The cook of the farm. Always.

🐾1. Despite being the protective mother, Kamryn feels like she is running away from her problems, even if it isn't quite the truth.

🕓 - Claus / ⏱ - Arthur

🕓1. Levelheaded of serene and patience, yet sometimes he has felt something telling him to not hold back...

⏱1. Arthur was almost in the affair, but he never got himself to tell Kamryj of it, he knew she was hurting and doing more to both parties would damage into the worst.

⏱2. The most loyal man and will fight for the rights.

⏱3. Except, he cannot fight nor defend himself much. He doesn't know how to properly fight without injuring himself minorly in the end.

🕓2. When ⏱s soul is stressed, Claus takes upon chess and strategizes.

🐠 - Felix / 🌊 - Louis

🌊1. Louis liked to be on boats and such. Always spoke about the fish and how pretty they are. Focused on the gradients 🐠 has today as we know it.

🐠1. He's pretty much a forcing player, likes to have fun and really doesn't like taking "no" for an answer.

🐠2. He sometimes feels like he should not swin nor fish due to being the representative of 🌊.

🎃 - Peter or 👁 - Entities from AAF's Universe

🎃1. A solitary character, also a mostly made lone-wolf.

🎃2. The bitch is deaf, and is aware of it and also makes it part of being a jerk too.

👁1. Entities are minorly controlled spirit beings who can take the role of demons and good haven spirits. Whatever their role is affects how the entity gets energy and feedback.

👁🎃1. Peter is controlled by one demon entity, and due to the same being targeting Thomas and his family for so long, it has housed itself in the computer as a means to achieve the energy and the attachment it requires to continue feeding.

👁2. Usually, the weakest entity is identified by how stubborn or hardheaded the being is. In many cases, the most emotional driven and the demonic entities control each other. In the case the entity cannot control the weaker being, it is usually because the weaker one is actually the strongest one in the emotion drive.

🎃3. Peter prefers dark areas and the night. The idiot HATES the sunlight and will do ANYTHING to stay away in there. (Cue to him wearing like Lady Dimitrescu sized hat and some fucking sunglasses lmao).

🎃4. Also, he hates the hot weather. Bitch likes the fall for a mere reason, ya know.

Characters with Others

🎃🕓🦫🌜1. No one other than Andy knows who Peter is. Yet they felt someone staring at their daily tasks at the farm in that dark barn...

🎃🍎1. Andy feels Peter stare when the Tag incident has ended. Often in the night, Andy falls asleep lightly swearing that he hears the Pumpkin whisper and talk strange sentences or whatever.

🍎🌜1. Often making music at get-togethers.

🐠🌜🍎🦫🕓1. They can dance and will play around. Also, pranks are common.

🦫🐠🌜1. Protects them like a mother and often feels like these are her kids despite being unaware that she is the representative of Kamryn.

🐠🌜1. The worst duo for singing. NEVER LET THESE TWO SING TOGETHER!!! Unless you want Melody's highest pitch note to break your glasses and your glass screens and windows. Felix is a bad influence and will do anything to get her to do that.

🐠🌜2. Otherwise, they like to chill while Felix casts his fishing line and Melody uses her harp to strum a bit to create a nice atmosphere.

🦫🕓1. They will talk about the latest trends for days. Seriously.

🦫🍎1. Margaret often asks Andy to sample her recipes, and for opinions and advice to even her food out.

how the spirits can be summoned

The Entity's influence on Peter

Disclaimer:

in this au, the spirits are separate from the characters

I don't claim that any statement is true to the real world, those are simple silly thoughts about a silly video game

Spoilers for Andy's Apple Farm

ghost form; humanlike, independent form, outside their vessel

Possession and Appearance Forms

All spirits generally take two forms:

possession form; taking control over the vessels body

There are two kinds of possessions:

form A; passive, "outside force" (not in control of the body)

form B; active (in full control of the body)

___________________________________________

(Here you can find out more about the two possession forms)

The spirits don't always need to be with their vessels. They have a max. area to how far they can be away (differs from spirit to spirit)

They only possess their vessels when they are summoned, they get triggered, or they try to protect their vessels

___________________________________________

The Entity:

Unlike the outher spirits, En does not have a ghost form

It only has power/influence in the game world when it's using a vessel (aka Peter)

(In the "real world" it doesn't needs a vessel)

When it's not using a vessel, its more of a concept, a lurking force with no real influence

Because of this, the Entity is Always with Peter (usually hiding in the deep corners of his mind, or lurking nearby)

En possesses Peter whenever it feels like it (tho especially when Peter acts out / is in danger)

Summoning

A spirit can always be summoned, by the vessel and/or an outside person, trough "trigger events/objects"

Triggers, to force a spirit into p.f. B:

-> goal of summoning: possession form B

Reasons: mostly to talk directly to a spirit

event; recreating a traumatic/pleasant event with the same phrases/actions

objects; a familiar object to the spirit, one which reminds of a trigger event (for example an axe for Andy)

Each spirit reacts differently to a summoning:

Louis and Isabella usually react fearful or curious

Margaret and Arthur are always cautious, but open

Thomas, especially when summoned trough the trigger object "Axe", usually reacts hostile and defensive

The spirits will leave if "released" (aka being told to leave with a firm/stern voice)

Tho depending on the spirit, some might be more stubborn and difficult than outhers

En's Influence on Peter

Peter is always 100% aware during a possession, but En paralyzes him so he won't put up a fight

It's rare for En to let Peter have "clear moments", but once En warms up to Andy, it allows him one-two times more clear moments than usual

(basically, Peter's a silent, motionless observer)

En likes its vessel paralyzed/numb/dissociative, no matter if possessed or not. It's just simpler to control and possess him like this

Character Descriptions

Generation 1

Cassius Varril — shorter than Talis (probably 6’) and has four shorter horns, two above each temple/brow. Light brown skin. Dark purple-red hair. Generally pretty closed off, was a Sergeant in the ANIC for quite a while before being assigned to Ev’s short-lived Imperial Short-Guard and has a rep for being cold, too the point, and unyielding. Does his best not to let people get hurt, but doesn’t really “warm up” no matter hard people try with him. Does have a soft spot for Merias Garren, mostly because she learns to get under his skin and knows when to stop/when he needs a push.

comes to trust Ev and Talis and their squad, which is a lot for him, but… it’s a battle.

yellow-green eyes

friendly(?) rivalry with Talis

Merias Garren — former ASMC Corporal. Slightly darker skin the Varril, has two tall, gray, ribbed horns and short-cropped, coily hair on the warm side the Aetherian spectrum (pink, orange, and dark red). Much more upbeat than Varril, has seen a little less combat than he has. Has also survived her fair share of dramatic injuries, and continues to suffer more until her death in 1926. Most likely to snap jokes back and forth with the young Hackeries, but also the most likely to reprimand them after Varril because she is older and she does have a hard side that they don’t develop for a while yet.

starts to trust Ev early on, but doesn’t show it until they’re on the same squad and she feels she has to (because someone has to). Also gives them a lot of pointers and positive feedback, whereas Varril mostly criticizes and reprimands them

violet eyes

Luka Mackee — young spitfire of a woman, resembles a Tartarun more than an Aetherian. Shock-white hair that turns yellow at the ends, bright orange eyes with dark sclera, and has Tritaran ancestry which presents itself in her temper and the gill-like slits on her shoulders that open when in free Voidspace and near fire. No one is quite sure what she is, but they like it. Tends to partner with Varril or Anaka Leil a lot—partial somewhat to Varril because she, like Garren, knows how to get under his cold exterior and got herself close to him (results in a sister-like bond with Merias).

dual wield’s pistols and carries a Pythiis

former ASMC

Anaka Leil — older than Luka, younger than Merias, former CMO for the 7th AIV battalion, which regularly served under Ev and Talis prior to the creation of Star squad and after. Chose Star squad over Delta (her battalion usually worked under Talis specifically) to spite Talis, who she has a friendly rivalry with. Unusually perceptive and tends to read emotions almost more than thoughts, although she is a rare case of a fully accredited empath-telepath combo. Has dark blue-green hair braided back on both sides and pointed Aetherian ears, with orange and blue-green markings across her body, and piercing grey-green eyes.

May be a medic, but is also adeptly skilled with staff weapons and knives.

befriends Ev because she discovers their rocky past with Kalei. Accidentally pegs them as being bisexual and escorts them to a female-staffed strip club—throws Talis at them instead and laughs when they stumble over each other. First to realize they might have feelings for each other, WLW supporting MLM

briefly dates Luka Mackee

Cole & Reina Hackerie — aka The Twins, identical except for the horns. Inseparable. Reina is more calm and reigned in (ha) but she’s also just as likely to get into fights as Cole and her nose is permanently crooked from how many times its been broken. Cole is the explosives junkie and the jokester of the squad, and has every bit the firecracker energy that Luka has—and then some. They both have light brown skin with paler asymmetrical vitiligo patches, gradient blue-orange hair, and a host of tattoos (some of which match, other that don't).

nearly inseparable after joining Star squad because they nearly lost each other while they were split up, Reina in the ANIC and Cole in the AMSC. They both get leave around the same time and apply for the AIV, get accepted, and when their applications gets flagged Ev immediately offers them both spots on Star squad

they both dual wield pistols, but while that’s what Cole prefers, Reina prefers rifles and rapid-fire hyperarms. Both very skilled with knives. Both master the teleportation regimens Ev puts the squad through and take to going on long runs with them as they’re able.

Cole’s horns are permanently stunted and she wears a cap on one but not the other (capped one is shorter, the enamel/core slightly exposed, so its sensitive to heat/cold without the insulated cap. Reina keeps a decorative cap on the opposite to Cole’s just to throw people off all the time.

Max Seiren — short, pale-skinned, brown-haired. Hair “catches fire” and glows a striking blue-green and red-orange when his emotions run high. Trained as a medic, but operates as a sniper and munitions expert instead. Generally more reserved and anxious, younger than everyone, including the Hackerie twins. Also known as the safety expert, funnily enough, and teams up with Varril and Talis to teach Ev proper protocol and safety measures and ensures they learn all the hand signs. Can be a nag, but has the best intentions for everyone and holds the team together pretty well.

best with long-range weapons, teaches Ev to shoot better when the others don’t have the patience

Generation 2

Lilliana Kang — takes up Star 4 when Luka Mackee dies, known for declaring that callsign for the medics. Strawberry blonde hair, light brown skin with freckles, long, pointed ears. Strong empath as opposed to telepath, skilled Shadow-walker and teleporter. Adept pilot, prefers working with munitions and fighting hand-to-hand than using hyperarms or blades, but can use a sword. Generally pretty quiet, but can also shout very loud when necessary, and can be pretty forceful.

primarily the squad medic but does everything else too, and always says “ugh why do I have to do everything around here??”

Varrin Coffee — first to take up Star 9. Essentially a fusion of Luka, Lilliana, and Max in terms of personality, good at pranks and surprise attacks. Good with grenades and detonators, but also long-range weapons and a whip-sword. Tall, lean and stringy, horns to match (also has two smaller horns closer to his ear). Hair that is blue and the roots and light orange at the tips.

designated coffee runner based on name alone. They partially give him this role as a joke, and partly because he knows all the best places wherever they happen to be in or outside of Aetheria, and partly because he was the youngest on the squad when he joined and they hash out the traumatic stuff while he’s gone the first year or so.

Jel velHart — first to take up the Star 10 callsign. Blue-toned skin, short horns in a crown around their head, short orange hair and yellow-white freckles. On and off the team as an extra member, but is a permanent member by 1927 (Pycithea). Also trained as a medic, but fights like hell and usually trails after Ev. Never meets Cassius Varril, and would have despised the man, but also likely would’ve agreed with his strategies most of the time.

Eryn Stet — takes over Star 8 after Max Seiren dies. Pale, orange haired, green-eyed. Excellent swordsman and melee fighter in general. Idolizes Cole and Reina and learns the teleportation regimen as well as they do, nearly well develops a grid sense, and they realize eventually because this literal ball of sunshine has a LOT of Shade in her blood.

Mads Korrell — takes over Star 3 after Merias Garren dies. Dark-light red haired, brown skin, absolutely jaw-dropping chick-magnet of a woman. Fights like the devil, has a mysterious past in the black ops division that no one knows about, but Ev, Reina, Anaka, and Cole take to her like wildfire so she stays. Loud, dangerous, and has a host of mental health issues, but never stops trying to heal and always fights back. Adventurous, also tends to join Ev on long runs, where they talk about growing up in a rural oceanic community and about having memory lapses.

dual wields pistols when able, but also carries an MCW with a Pythiis, electro-spear, and warhammer programmed into it.

has Tartarun physiology—Bronzeblood tracking abilities, runes carved on her bones (Magoni), and empathic abilities that vastly outweigh her telepathic ones.

Veriah Stone — takes over Star 5 after Anaka Leil dies. Is not a medic, and this is primarily the reason Jel takes on a larger membership role (because Lilliana shouldn’t have to do all the work). Sturdy, experienced, easily the most diplomatic out of all of them save for Varrin Coffee. Good pilot, average sniper, better at making runs and shielding for the others than dealing with large amounts of combat, but is exceptional in hand-to-hand and is deadly with a pistol or knife.

Stocky, short for an Aetherian, light blue hair and white-but-tan skin. Green-blue eyes. Lots of scars on hands, legs, and upper arms.

Corrin Merinak — briefly claims the title of Star 6 while Cole leaves the AAF for a few years, then is kicked down to Star 9 until 1951, then claims it back from Viers Garren when he returns in 1957. Pale skinned, has brown tattoos across his body in the same tone of his horns (tribal heritage), which turn light blue at the ends. His hair starts off orange and fades to the same light blue. Has striking orange eyes and (rare) white sclera, and pointed ears. Essentially “Cole Hackerie meets Max Seiren and Luka Mackee personality- and ability-wise—best with a sniper rifle, better with hand-to-hand, excellent teleporter, and an adrenaline junkie to boot. He and the Hackerie get along like a wildfire and he eventually takes to Alyah Feht…. eventually.

That One Asshole.

most likely to banter with his enemies, right after Ev. Also, coincidentally, the most likely to pull Ev kicking and screaming out of a duel—AND the most likely to shoot his teammates with a stun blast to get them to shut up or sit down—the medics both love and hate him, because he is also a terrible patient.

antagonizes Talis to hell and back (this never, ever stops)

Marian Ka’mero — second person to take up the Star 10 moniker, joins a year after Finnegan. Another black ops recruit, much darker than Mads Korrell was for all the years younger she is. Slowly opens up to the team that Ev and Talis gave her a spot on, learns field medicine and adds it to her repertoire. Lethal with a rifle, rivals Corrin as a sniper (they have competitions), maniac with dual pistols, and knows all the weak spots to drive knives past armor. Short, olive-toned skin with light yellow freckles like stars, has dark purple-blue hair that has streaks of grey in it that doesn’t flare red like the rest. Has periods where she is nonverbal and falls back on Aetherian Sign Language (she is not the first).

was a black ops assassin that Ev plucks off the roster after they see what Three and Deis are doing to that branch of the AIV

teaches Ev and Talis a lot, and they don’t remember til later on that she usually teaches them her black ops skills while her eyes are red. Her eyes aren’t red, they’re a soft maroon-purple.

Experiment of Shas’s

ends up being quite bubbly and positive towards the end, and is a righteous force of nature when her squad—her family—is in danger

Asmarin Flynt — takes over as Star 7 when Reina Hackerie finally steps down to work with Axel and Finnegan and investigate her twin’s death. Is plucked from her position in the ANIC and dropped into the position by Reina herself, and gladly accepts it. Compliments Perah Shendoah’s perception and strategy, mourns her death painfully. Brilliant fighter and planner, jack of all trades with a specialization in recon, shielding, and revolvers. Light brown skin, blue-green hair with flecks and strands of gold-yellow, and light-colored freckles and bright blue eyes.

works as a double agent, feeding info to the rebellion and the Gareway/Varriett/Hackerie crew while operating in Star squad right under the Council’s nose

Generation 3

Alyah Feht — takes over Star 8 after Eryn Stet. Trained to be a medic, but quite because she’s “way to good at bashing heads in” to stay on the sidelines and “do no harm” (not that any Aetherian medic abides by the “do no harm” rule, unless they’re ANIC medics who have the luxury). Dark blue, thick hair with yellow-gold streaks and red roots. Light brown skin, but gets really dark after only a little sun exposure—part Shade. Exceptional Shadow-walker, excellent at sneak attacks and recon (teams up with Veriah or Varrin often).

adopts a rivalry with Corrin Merinak based originally in the fact that she cannot woo him in any way and hates him for it. They turn it into a game.

Axel Varriett — takes over as Star 3 after Mads Korrell, absolutely matches her energy in the flirty, hot chick-magnent department. Comes in at the same time as Corrin, genuinely doesn’t have an opinion on him. Corrin has an opinion on him though, and he has made it his mission to antagonize Axel as much as he does Talis. Sniper rivalry ensues. Average height, lean and athletically strong, typically wields either a Heavy Repeater Gun or a sniper rifle, there is no in between. Skilled with a staff or whipcord, but hardly uses either as a primary weapon. Also has a wicked punch and schools Ev in hand-to-hand when they get bored

mid-brown skin, cool-toned. Dark blue hair, usually in braids or a bun, buzzes it off after his execution to avoid being recognized and everyone is mortified

immediately teams up with Alyah Feht to make Corrin’s life a living hell once he starts raging on Axel

likes to flirt with people a lot and does occasionally hook up (not the most out of all the members at this point, but enough), but doesn’t honestly have the emotional capability to do it for long. He falls for Ev eventually, which gets complicated, but after their FWB thing ends mutually, he and Finnegan Gareway start up a thing and it turns into the solid relationship he used to dream about (and eventually includes Reina Hackerie)

Finnegan Gareway — takes up Star 4 after Lilliana Kang, medic who tries to do no harm but absolutely takes no shit. Hates that Axel always gets hurt doing his bullshit (and Cole, and Ev, and Alyah, and Corrin), harps on him the most out of everyone for years. Skilled with blades both in and outside of surgery, good with strategy. Teaches Ev field medicine sometimes, relates to every story he ever hears about Max Seiren—but also is capable of backing Reina Hackerie up in bar fights.

goes first by “Neg,” then “Gan,” then “Uppercut,” then “Negan,” and later Axel calls him “Egg” and he TOTALLY (totally) hates it (not)

They come back from a bar fight and the squad hears that Finnegan started it and Reina had to stop him from disabling a guy.

Axel: “I thought you were a medic!” Egg: “I have bad days!”

retires when Axel does so they can get married (they love and hate each other but they love each other more)

Morgan Tersa — takes over as Star 5 after Veriah Stone, joins the same time as Halle Archa, whom she befriends immediately. Brown skin, dark brown hair with gold braided in, greatly resembles Rose veaBlanche to the point that, if and when they meet, they’re mistaken for sisters—resemblance is foiled by Morgan’s mismatched brown-blue eyes. Seems very normal in her first impression—minimal emotional scarring, generally a happy person, no vendettas or candles to burn—but while she is infinitely capable of mercy, she is also relentlessly capable of cold execution of her duties and, if need be, the enemy.

has willpower to match Luz Whittacker’s own, joins Finnegan in restraining and relaxing her

deadly in hand-to-hand, but prefers a sniper rifle and the electro-staff

Louis Tarren — the third and final Star 7. Compliment to Taren Vex-Har, who he makes jokes with because their first and last names are so similar. A jokester to balance out Taren’s coolness (which can turn to elation and mischief on a dime). Fights with distance weapons and shields and backs Taren up wherever he goes, which is why Asmarin elected him into her spot—they likely would’ve gotten hitched for the fun of it if ’62 didn’t happen.
