It's my last semester meaning I'm drowning in schoolwork and have no time to sleep or draw anything Star Wars. So in the next few months, I'll post the project I'm working on in school here.
It's based on the book "The Graveyard Book" written by @neil-gaiman. I did the first version back in 2018, and then revisited them in 2021, and now I am revisiting them again cuz my style changed and I can never have enough of this book lol.
Starting off with some sketches of our little guy Nobody "Bod" Owens. Hope you guys enjoy the ride! And pls read this book if you haven't alr im begging

Last week, the British Science Fiction Association (BSFA) released their longlist of nominees for the BSFA Awards, for work published in 2023. Embroidered Worlds: Fantastic Fiction from Ukraine and the Diaspora was among those listed for Best Collections! I am honored that we were included; I'm also so excited to see Ukrainian fiction on a list like this.
When I was a young reader in the 80s and 90s, I dreamed of such an opportunity; and I am heartened to know that readers are enjoying and discussing these stories by writers in Ukraine and the Diaspora.
There are so many thoughtful collections and fantastic stories on this list, and I encourage you to take a look. Congratulations to my incredible co-editors, Olha Brylova & Iryna Pasko and to all the nominees!

Living in a time when the national romanian television channel DOES an interview with a gay man, an old gay man about his relationship with an important artist of that time...
I can't believe it.
I know it's because the reporter behind this is an ally and she chooses the people in the show herself, but it's still unbelievable. A gay man, on national television, speaking about the man he loved during a time they would have been imprisoned (and more) for that.

It’s time to unveil the cover of Embroidered Worlds: Fantastic Fiction from Ukraine and the Diaspora, as well as the list of thirty authors and their stories!
Taras Kopansky is the Ukrainian artist who created the art, "Metahutsulka" for the cover. His piece is inspired by Mykola Senkovsky’s famous 1926 photograph “Old Hutsulka” that won the Grand Prix at the European International Exhibition in Paris.

I've just got home from a salsa party, and I have to admit that ever since I'd started going to these places I was hoping that a latino guy would ask me for a dance (because they are so good at it), and tonight one finally did, and he was cute, but he was leading so differently from the Hungarian guys and I wasn't used to it, and I felt like a complete beginner who hardly knew the basic steps. He was very nice, but I felt I should apologise after every messed up turn.
Also, someone asked the cloakroom lady for a dance which was the nicest thing during the whole evening.
And on my way home at the bus stop a guy from the party started talking to me, and it turned out that he was Romanian and had the same name as a character in a play we once did with my drama group. So the poor guy had to listen to me rambling about a(n otherwise great) Hungarian play that had a Romanian policeman with the same name as his.
