shu yamino × luca kaneshiro (shuca / lucashu / mafiyami or whatever you call it)

(i wanted to write ikesta earlier but idk if i should write about a graduated member)

characters : shu yamino, luca kaneshiro

side characters : ike eveland, vox akuma, mysta rias

summary : luca & shu have been bestfriends along with luxiem for years now. it's quite obvious they like eachother, but they're just oblivious.

"hey shu!" luca greeted when he saw the familiar boy with brown hair and magenta and purple highlights.

"oh, hey luca!" shu also greeted him back when he realized it was the familiar blonde that had called him.

"whatcha doing?" luca asked, enthusiastically. his lilac eyes seemed like they were sparkling.

"oh, i'm just delivering a package to uki's because he managed to set it to the wrong address." shu answered, still thinking about how uki set the address to shu's instead of his own.

"how did he even do that?" luca was also confused. uki's house was quite far away, so it is almost impossible for him to set it to the 'wrong address'.

"i dunno. well, i gotta get going now. can't keep him waiting." shu bid his goodbyes and continued his journey to uki's place, roughly 15 meters away from the place he's at right now.

shu remembered that uki said that he could keep the package, but shu insisted that he wanted to give back the package to uki. after all, uki did pay for it himself.

shu saw the package to see if it was something he ordered and read what was in it. apparently, it's some expensive skincare.

shu already had enough skincare, so he decided to give it back to uki since he doesn't really need the skincare.

shu was so deep in thought he hadn't realized he already made it to uki's neighbourhood.

he checked every address to find uki's and knocked on the door. when he found a doorbell, he thought it would be funny to spam ring it and see what would happen.

he just constantly rang the doorbell, waiting for uki to open the door.

"stop ringing the doorbell. you're wasting battery and breaking my eardrums." uki opened the door while talking in a grumpy voice.

"sorry. you weren't answering the doorbell, i thought you passed out." shu jokingly said, before handing over the package to uki.

"here's the package, i don't really need it so i planned to give it back to you." shu said, carefully giving it to uki.

"by the way, that's expensive. you should be careful and recheck the address. you're lucky you sent it to mine instead of some random's house." shu scolded, looking at uki.

"i know... anyways, thanks for bringing it back to me. you could've kept it, you know?" uki said, before taking the package.

"nah, it's fine, didn't really need it so i gave it back to you." shu said, before continuing: "hey, i should go now. see you at uni, uki.", bidding his goodbyes to uki before running off uki's front porch making his way back to his apartment area.

"bye! see you tomorrow!" uki shouted back, before closing the front door behind him.

when shu made it back to his apartment room, he checked his phone to see if there were any messages he missed.

then, he saw that luxiem went on call. he decided to join.

"oh nice! shu joined. hey shu!" ike noticed shu joined first. vox also noticed and greeted shu right after ike did.

"oh! ah- hi shu!" luca greeted him last. Luca sounded a little distracted earlier but then greeted shu with his never-ending golden retriever energy.

"hey, any idea where your cousin is?" ike asks, wondering where the fox detective who usually stirred up chaos during their calls went.

"oh! he's busy helping his mom with a recent case so he should be busy." shu answered, not surprised ike asked about his whereabouts. after all, it's not uncommon that your significant other is worried about how you're doing.

"ohh, i see. thanks." ike said, sighing in relief knowing his boyfriend is doing just fine.

"yeah, it's good. anyways, how are y'all?" shu wanted to start a conversation. they were all on video call, so they could see what eachother were doing.

shu look at everyone's cameras; ike was at his desk in his room calling using his webcam on his computer. it seemed he was writing ideas for his next novel.

vox was also sitting on his desk, but it looked like he was reading something on his computer screen. mysta was the one usually proofreading ike's novels, but since he was busy, ike asked vox to do the job for him.

luca was out on a morning run with his sister, lucy. they picked up some breakfast for their family on the way.

for some reason, there was something about luca out for a morning run that shu found attractive. he didn't know if it was the clothes that luca was wearing, or the fact that he was wearing earphones so the small mic picked up the pants from being tired of running.

shu has been crushing on luca for a while now, and he hates the fact that anything luca does he can find attractive.

shu was just there, sitting on his bed, wearing a black hoodie with purple accents and some comfortable pants.

they all talked about stuff, from what they had for breakfast this morning to places where they would like to go together, as luxiem.

time flies by when you're having fun, huh? cause by the time they finished talking, it was already lunch time.

they decided to separate ways and ended the call to have lunch.

shu didn't really plan on what to eat, so he just decided he was gonna make some instant ramen.

but this time, he decided he was gonna add an egg, some extra flavoring like salt and pepper, and some green onions.

he boiled some water using the water heater. in the meantime, he prepared the extra ingredients.

when he finished cooking, he digged in. the food was great, and he enjoyed it.

he decided to check his phone again, and found a message from luca.

luca 🎦 📞 ︙

"hey shu! are u and mysta free next saturday?"

"yeah, we're free. why?"

"wanna go to the amusement park w/ luxiem?"

"sure, lemme see abt mysta though"

"okok thx see u tomorrow in class"

"i'll see you too"

"oh btw mysta's coming" read

after lunch, shu just decided he wasn't gonna do anything and just sit around and play valorant to kill time.

he got a few wins, and decided to get off the game cause he was getting kinda tired and went for a nap.

the next few following days were quite boring. it was just him going to school, going back home, preparing whatever he needs for the next school day, and repeat.

but now, it's finally saturday.

shu got ready and asked them how they're gonna go there, and luca said he was gonna pick him up.

"uu luca is gonna pick up his future bf"

"stfu"

shu replying to : i can pick u up

"okok thx u"

shu lightly blushed at vox's remark, but payed no mind to it.

he sprayed some perfume, and made sure the shirt he was wearing didn't have any wrinkles.

he weared a casual shirt and some cargo pants, nothing too fancy. after all, they were gonna go to an amusement park.

before he knew it, luca already knocked on shu's front door. shu rushed to the door, and opened it. he was greeted by luca.

"hey shu..! you look po- nice." luca complimented him. "oh, thank you!" shu blushed a little at the compliment, but kept his cool.

"c'mon, let's go. the rest are already waiting for us there." luca offered his hand, and shu took it while nodding.

luca opened the car door for shu, and shu entered it. shu burned hotter than ur mom by the gesture.

luca started driving to the amusement park they were talking about.

when they made it there, they were greeted by the rest of the boys.

"oh, hey guys." "hi." "finally you're here i've been waiting with ikey and vox for like hours" ike, vox, and mysta greeted, in order.

"sorry to keep you guys waiting." shu & luca apologized.

"it's no problem. anyways, let's go." ike smiled, before he looked around. "where should we start first though?" vox also started looking around for a fun thing to do.

"oh! what about the whack-a-mole machine?" shu suggested. everyone else nodded in agreement.

they went to the whack-a-mole area and they competed to see who would whack the most moles. in the end, luca won.

next, they decided they were gonna go to a few claw machines. ike decided to play one and try to get a fox plushie for mysta, whilst luca went for a banana one.

however, vox didn't play because he knew they were rigged and not worth it.

in the end, both ike and luca got their desired plushies. ike gave his plushie to mysta while luca kept his.

they went on some rollercoaster rides. although shu gets motion sick easily, he's gotten better at enduring it. they asked if he was okay with rollercoasters, and he said it was fine since "rollercoasters are like one hour of waiting and then you ride for like a minute; so you don't keep the motion sickness, because while you're lining up for the next ride your motion sickness goes away."

they did all sorts of stuff, they got food, they took pictures at the photo booth, they talked, they got on multiple rides, all that stuff.

at the end of the day, they decided to get on the ferris wheel. since every ferris wheel was limited to 5 people a basket, they were all able to go together.

they all stayed seated until their basket reached the tallest part, where luca slowly got up to sit next to shu.

"hey shu.." luca started. shu looked at him when he realized luca was talking to him.

"oh, yeah?" shu asked. he wasn't used to having luca this close to him, so he blushed a little.

vox, ike, and mysta all pulled out their phones and started recording.

"shu yamino. we've been best friends for... more years than I can count. i never realized how much i appreciated you until the 2nd year of middle school. 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙞 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙞 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪. s-so... what i wanted to tell you is.... 𝘪-𝘪 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶..! p-please be my b-boyfriend..!" was luca's confession.

luca was shaking, scared of what shu will think of him after that. the rest of the boys were also curious of what shu thinks of him.

"𝘪- 𝘪 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰𝘰. yes, i'll be your boyfriend." shu accepted and told about his feelings towards luca too.

they both pulled eachother into a tight hug when tears started to fall. the other boys cheered for them.

they slowly let go each other from the hug, and luca immediately decided to close the distance between him & shu.

the other members of luxiem were just fangirl(boy)ing over them and cheered.

"you know... i really didn't expect what vox said earlier to actually be true." shu joked, making all of luxiem laugh.

when the ride came to an end, they all got off and separated ways. but the difference is, instead of luca leaving after he dropped off shu at his place, he stayed instead.
