I would just like to say... that I would die for these two simping fools. That's it. That's the post.

“I read that book you were talking about.” Marlene spoke after a moment. “The bluest eye, I mean.”

Dorcas’s eyes were on her in an instant. Almost too stunned to speak. Almost. “You read a book I talked about?!” She asked sceptically.

Marlene just laughed. “I do read you know. No need to doubt my ability.”

Dorcas hadn’t been doubting her ability at all. It was just that she couldn’t imagine Marlene McKinnon sitting still long enough to read a book, just because Dorcas had talked about it.

“Anyway,” Marlene continued. “It was good. Really good. Lily had a copy on her shelf, so I stole that. And I really see what you were saying about that one quote. How does it go… ‘We mistook violence for passion, indolence for leisure, and thought recklessness was freedom’…”

Marlene kept speaking, but Dorcas had stopped listening. She was too hooked on how that quote had sounded between Marlene’s lips. Her favourite quote. Marlene’s lips.

Dorcas’s feeble mind couldn’t focus on anything else. Because for one, Marlene McKinnon, miss ‘I don’t read unless I’m forced to do so’, had read a book Dorcas had talked about once. And two, she’d remembered which quote was Dorcas’s favourite. Word for word.

The fact that femslash is even called femslash is wild. Like the fact that there weren't enough fleshed out/likeable/not dead woman characters in so much media that slash was only mlm is bonkers.

I, as a fic writer, even have issues with this. Outside my main ship (thiam) I don't write much femslash because it's hard! I've worked very hard in the past year to watch more woman led shows, but in my main fandoms it's difficult to find women who are alive, have been in more than one episode, in the same age range, and have met. Honestly, at this point, them meeting isn't even a requirement for me.

Supernatural for example: can you think of any sapphic ships that meet those very simple four requirements? I fucking can't

So here's some god-damn famslash appreciation!

swanqueen (Once Upon A Time) - This is so good it makes me want to jump up and down with excitement.

dorlene (Marauders) - I literally cannot recommend this enough. It's so good, and I think everyone who liked atyd should read this.

(A little self-promo too) But also one of the fics I've had the most fun writing.

tanthamore (Willow) - If you haven't read this, what are you doing?? 10/10

figayda (Fantasy High) - Genuinely on of my favorite fics ever. The way it's written is absolutely amazing.

I mostly participate in Good Omens fandom (Asmi's maggots by extension) and I sometimes slither to Doctor Who, Marauders and Percy Jackson fandoms

I was also made the scrivener of the maggot family meaning I keep track of all the members

i’ve got too much to do over the summer, both everything and nothing at all

but like a ton of personal project ideas and it’s honestly possibly too much because i think if i try to start everything then i will finish nothing

cause like here’s my current list of shit that i actively really want to do

finish although i am broken, my heart is unchanged still

finish is it all you desired?

figure out and work through my marauders doctor who au

write other fanfic ideas that i have

get prepared to move by going through what i own rn and purchasing/thrifting for my first place

tie dye and paint some shirts for myself and my friends

continue at my job for a few months

start a project of watching and analyzing every doctor who episode that includes the master (including episodes that i haven’t seen before)

visit my friends and family on vacation

draw out a tattoo idea

draw out some fan art

read The Tower of Nero

read the LOTR books

read some of the fanfics that people keep recommending to me
