A Theory on Fred Goldman's Response to the O.J. Simpson Trial
The O.J. Simpson trial was a highly publicized and controversial case that sparked intense debate and emotion. Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman, has been a vocal advocate for victims' rights and has spoken publicly about his experiences. However, I believe that Fred Goldman's unwavering conviction that O.J. Simpson is guilty, despite the trial's outcome and subsequent revelations, may be driven by a deeper bias.
Throughout the trial, Marcia Clark's prosecution team presented evidence and accusations that were later debunked by the defense team. Nevertheless, Fred Goldman refused to consider alternative theories or suspects, leading me to wonder if his conviction is rooted in a racial bias. The fact that he continued to assert O.J.'s guilt even after Glen Rogers' confession raises questions about his motivations.
It's important to acknowledge that the trauma and grief of losing a loved one can cloud one's judgment and lead to a strong desire for justice. However, it's equally crucial to consider the possibility that Fred Goldman's refusal to accept the verdict and his persistent hatred towards O.J. may be influenced by racial prejudices.
Fred Goldman's mustache is also an indication of him being a racist, since racist rednecks has had the same style mustache.
In conclusion, while this theory is not meant to be taken as fact, it's essential to engage in open and respectful dialogue about the potential biases that may drive our beliefs and actions. By examining our own perspectives and assumptions, we can work towards a more just and equitable society for all.

It's so silly when people act like they can trust what the siblings say about Marcia and Rhea. Clearly the siblings are biased, vindictive, and misogynistic when it comes to how they view them.
Of course Marcia likes power, of course she has an agenda. But the thing is? I think she actually cares for and respects Logan. Her agenda is too keep him in power as long as possible, and make sure her and her son are set-up well when he dies. She hates the siblings because they're rude to her and were handed everything in life, but it does seem like she was the only one on the show that could talk to Logan straight and he had a chance of listening. They read each other books! She isn't some witch, she's just into the "old and respectable" type of power that Logan represents. She leaves him when it's clear that Logan is both a) losing and b) cutting her out.
And Rhea? Really don't think she slept with Logan. He might have wanted to, tried to, but I think she could gracefully change the subject and make the boundaries clear. I think Logan did like her for her talents, and for the access to Nan, and eventually as a trophy away from Nan. I think Rhea liked Waystar as a new challenge, and liked that Logan was less stagnant than the Pierce's, who seemed content to just keep their money and their business at the level it was.

Marcia Ball is the 2023 Darrell K Royal Texas Music Legend Award Winner
Pianist and singer Marcia Ball is the 2023 Darrell K Royal Texas Music Legend awardee.
“Long stunned silence,” Ball said in a statement.
She’ll be honored Feb. 24-25, 2023, along with Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees Alejandro Escovedo, Gary P. Nunn, Radney Foster, Rodney Clawson and W.C. Clark.
After Ball’s “brain kicked in,” she began thinking of artists she’d like to succeed her, including Lucinda Williams, Butch Hancock and Jimmy Dale Gilmore, Scott Joplin and others.
“Texas is just loaded up with songwriters, with an amazing younger generation coming on strong,” she said. “A great big ‘thank you’ to the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association for supporting and encouraging this creative tradition.”

Back on Stanley and His Monster and I'm starting the run of 4 issues which is volume 1 (#109-112)
Tumblr media
The gay spirit that claims to be the ghost of Napoleon. (Ahh, the 60s)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Professor Bohns here appears to have a case of Director Bones disease, though in this case he seems to be missing the cyanide problem. He helps Stanley go time travelling.
The actual main addition to the cast for this run (now that the story has a whole comic rather than a single backup) is Marcia, the babysitter. Marcia is exactly as stereotypical as you can expect, and Stanley and his friends spend a lot of time dodging her to do things.
In this run the stories get a little more fantastic, but we're clearly still not in a main DC universe: Spot knows that Clark Kent is Superman.

(Stanley and His Monster #111)
In the final issue we meet Shag, Spot's son. Shag's just been to college and is hanging out with hippies. (Shag I suspect is about to get massively retconned along with everyone else).
Look. These are all eminently forgettable comics, and I'm actually surprised that I think I learned about Stanley and his Monster as a concept from osmosis based on this version as a kid, not on the level of complexity that is soon incoming.
(onwards: it's time for Stanley and his Monster vol 2: Phil Foglio does his thing)
