Whenever Father Brown and Flambeau communicate, it feels like high-level wizards slinging cantrips and spells at one another because they speak in a world of dance.

It feels so... raw between them, like a dance, I don't know how to explain it, but whatever John Light and Mark Williams do when they communicate as their characters sure gets me going.

I always loved Father Brown's conflicted faces and the little habits he uses to express this, like him taking off his glasses. He is an excellent observer, listener and thinker so what goes on in his mind can’t be expressed completely in words, some things are better understood by the expression of the face.

In my opinion, Mark's interpretation, with his micro facial expressions, is very much in line with Chesterton's description of Father Brown.

"Father Brown was made of two men. There was a man of action, who was as modest as a primrose and as punctual as a clock; who went his small round of duties and never dreamed of altering it. There was also a man of reflection, who was much simpler but much stronger, who could not easily be stopped; whose thought was always (in the only intelligent sense of the words) free thought. He could not help, even unconsciously, asking himself all the questions that there were to be asked, and answering as many of them as he could; all that went on like his breathing or circulation."

SO. in history, my teacher decided to put a documentary on the works of iron in shropshire and he said you might recognise the actor from harry potter BUT NOPE. recognised him from red dwarf, mark williams on the industrial revolution documentary and HIS ACCENT IS EVERYTHING. I TRIED TO TAKE A PICTURR BUT I COULDN’T WITHOUT THE TEACHER NOTICING.
