that geras scene at the end is killing me as someone who has also been fighting for so long to survive middle school, to survive high school, to just make it to adulthood. i'm so tired and i can barely think further than a year or two from now but the book has been constantly referencing looking back on your past and imagining a future where it gets better because as you get older you keep improving, you keep going, and i really needed that. i can imagine a world like percy was where i'm old and sitting on a porch with a friend, actually being able to rest instead of fighting just to make it through the day. growing older with people so i can look back and tell myself now that it really does get better.

Your diaphragm is the main force - pushing against the lungs at rest. #Your ribcage on the other hand is under a state of being pulled outwards. It *wants* to be as open as possible. #These to contradicting forces create a constant push and pull which assists in the ebb and flow of air. Most significantly with exhalation. #Now that being said - the primary action of inhalation ventilation is through control centers in your brainstem. #If you lose connection to that due to trauma you're going to need ventilation assistance. #Small note: Respiration is the cellular event of chemical exchange in the alveoli. Ventilation is airflow and pressure. #They are both important but also very different things. WELPDSJKS sorry to be the one to break it to you but yeah when he had his appendectomy he went into respiratory failure after and had to be put in a medically induced coma in the ICU (x) he came back at the next race in singapore (x) which had everyone including george like right😐okay. and it was all very concerning but it was mostly fine (if you ignore the fact his performance coach said his lungs didn’t recover for the rest of the season) but yeah he raced at singapore and he wore a special helmet that he auctioned that raised £84k for an orphanage in thailand! (x) september 2022 was a hell of a month in alexland

so Andrew and Aaron were given up a couple weeks after birth right? maybe Tilda decided she couldn't do it after the fact, but what if they were in the NICU? like they're 5'0" as adults, identical twins which means their cell split in half so what if they were born just super small and had to sit there? do you think the nurses in the NICU seperated them, or put them together to better their chances of survival? (did Tilda care if they survived?) were they doomed from the start, seperated at birth, or were they at least given a chance to be brothers before Tilda went and fucked it up?
