When Megatron joins the Lost Light Perceptor is pissed because he hurt his sparkling and he's worried he'll do it again. He has a full on screaming match with Optimus about it. Doesn't want Rodimus around him. He doesn't care if Megatron has changed and will always have a problem with him. The other wreckers on board will also make Megatron's life difficult because how dare he hurt Rodimus when he was still Hot Rod. That was their sparkling. Some eventually warm up to him like Ultra Magnus although he will always protect Rodimus if something ever changed. Whirl still randomly likes to fight him and challenge him to duel's.

Potential trigger warnings!

Perceptor will NEVER fully forgive Megatron for what he did to his bitlet.

Yes he’s logical. Yes he understands why Megatron did it. Yes he knows the mech has truly changed and that the former warlord and his bitty work well together and have changed each other for the better.

But he still can never forgive the mech for what he did. Rodimus is his sparkling and his sparkling was blown open, his spark, blown open and only saved by the matrix.

He would’ve lost him otherwise.

His sparkling would’ve offlined and he would’ve outlived him. He would see his sparkling’s cold offline open frame his own spent so much time making, creating to perfection out of love, hope and so much nervous planning and care he’d ever given and Megatrom for all intents and purposes successfully took it.

Took his bitty, away from him.

So yes. While he knows he’s changed and has seen him defend Rodimus, even make his precious bitty smile in a way no other has, he still can never forgive him.

He’s happy he doesn’t have to tell Whirl or Magnus to protect Rodimus because they feel the same way even if they can be nicer to Megatron than he ever could be. He doesn’t fault Magnus for being friends the mech nor does he fault Whirl for finding some form of respect for the former warlord he just can’t.

He’s never gone out of his way to be cruel but he does keep an optic on him and when the crew discovers that Perceptor is Rodimus’s carrier, the mech looks at him with a horror he’s glad, he took an internal capture of it.

Perceptor doesn’t care how much love the gray mech has in his em field, optics, spark or aura as Drift puts it.

Yes he knows his bitlet returns those feelings and yes he knows they do make a good pair, a great one even.

Perceptor knows, as well as the mech himself and his all grown up sparkling, he will never not hate the mech who essentially did take his bitty from him.

I personally think earthspark megatrom would be into chubbier lovers. He'd want them to sit on his face, their large thighs trapping him against their valve. He'd wrap his arms around their legs to keep them parked on his face, and he'd bring them to overstimulation from the amount of overloads he'd bring them to with his glossa

legit my fave Optimus is when he and Megatron are both trying to one up each other durring the war- like the whole it takes two to tango.

Megatron coming from the idea of: We need to punish those in power! remove them from their position we can't just wait for better mechs to take their place! Remove them no matter the cost! The poor are starving and dying while the rich make the rules, we cant just wait for change while others die, we need to make the change- I say no more! The life of one rich bot is not more important then thousands of poor! (good intention, bad exaction, leads to murder)

Then Optimus: We can't just punish the rich, they do this out of ignorance and their lives matter too- all life does. They don't know what its truly like. We must reward those who have done well and try to get them into positions of power, eventually we will have better mechs in charge. Violence only breeds more violence, but I will not stand back as you decide that you know who can and can not live, so I will respond in kind to stop you. (again, good intentions but the whole one upping thing and it just goes back and forth)

Honestly, lets be real here: at some point the fight is less about the cause that started the war, and more about anger and grudges towards the other faction. Like really. I don’t think by the end of it did most bots on either side really care about rich/poor high class/low class. Everyone was given equal opportunity to be a soldier and everyone from each cast of life proved themselves.

I legit have a big mood for the idea of:

Decepticons (original cause): Punish the oppressor > reward those who are good

Autobots (original cause): Punish the oppressor < reward those who are good

tl;dr:

Deceptcons: Eat the rich!!! They'll feed us all!! Autobots: Vote for better mechs!! We'll slowly shift the power!!

Both these extremes are flawed tbh and a balance needs to be had anyhoo thats just a thought
