alrighty, since y'all said that you're interested - woe. OCs be upon ye
I'll do my best to make this short .. but basically, Kuratse and Metze are the vajai of the town they live in - which means they are, in short, representatives of the two species and cultures which have come to mingle and hybridize in their town (I call them moths and cats for a lack of better terms for them for now). And Thor and Etiri are their children, that were unfortuntely born at a bad time due to threats of war on the horizon..
As for their personalities - Kuratse is a big old nerd who knows intricate fiber art knowledge way more than it knows how to deal with people; Metze is a goofball dad who, despite being a leader of sorts, is really bad at giving orders; Thor is the chaotic younger sibling who isn't above taking advantage of the fact that people look down on him; and Etiri is... in three words, stubborn, protective, and directionless. And the 'main character' of this story, sorta...
Especially since, after some point in the story - it's the only one of this family left alive.
But it's not entirely alone.. so, introducing:
Mark and Muka are two childhood friends of Etiri's, and one of the few who survived the death of their town. They are half siblings, and as for their personalities - Mark is a retired bully who is alergic to letting people know he has any vulnerabilities whatsoever; and Muka is also alergic to showing any vulnerability whatsoever, but is a lot softer about it. It's also deafblind - and likes playing a sort of 'therapist' role to its friends (mch to Mark's chagrin).
There is a lot more to each of them, as well as other characters to meet (like Mark and Muka's parents, and Etiri's qpp), but I'll leave that for another day .... mostly because I don't have completed individual drawings for them yet lol
So yeah! This is just a short introduction, expect seeing more of these goofs in the future <3

Time For Agile To Buy Mom or Dad Jeans? A Conversation with Mark Metze, Jeremy Willets, and Tom Cagley, SPaMCAST 802
The SPaMCAST 802 features a panel discussion. Mark Metze, Jeremy Willets, and myself. discuss “Is agile still a movement or has it reached middle age?” We weigh the appropriateness of wailing and gnashing of teeth, hand wringing and sullen withdrawal, or pragmatism and philosophy. In the end, perhaps the right answer is to buy a pair of mom or dad jeans and accept that all great movements reach…

I swear the scene where Tissaia walks in and sees everyone in cuffs and Sabrina ask Keira why isn't Tissaia secured and Keira is just like "what the fuck do you expect me do I'm not trying to get killed".
Like really Sabrina? This is Tissaia De Vries, The Rectoress of Aretuza. The person who trained thousands of girls including Phillipa and Yennefer. The woman who taught you all everything you know. You thought she could be put in handcuffs without a fight?
