The new limited CS event has me thinking...if it’s all weak to one type, then realistically, players will be expected to have five damage dealers within a type. And as stated before, not every type has that. But also, some that do...aren’t strictly reasonable either. And this has me thinking...what type weakness are they likely to start with, and how might that play into the chosen extra unit?

GRASS Fairly reasonable. Among F2P/General Pool, they have Gardenia, Erika, Brendan, Mallow, Selene, and SS Erika, with Sycamore and Gloria from Lodge. This would be a really easy one to justify. That said...there has never been a Grass-type E4 member. Because the type is bad. So this would leave Champions with eclectic teams. Blue is out because Exeggutor was Lodge, so options could be Wallace and Ludicolo, Cynthia and Roserade, and Diantha with Gourgeist. Any of those three would admittedly be great to me.

FIRE Fire has Ethan, Flannery, Flint, Hilda, Serena, Blaine, and Silver as commonly available options, with Blarcanine as a free event that isn’t rerun regularly. This is...a lot more restrictive than Grass, if I’m being honest. Ethan isn’t great, Flannery’s sync is mildly okay, Flint’s bad, Hilda has trouble with DPS and not dying, and Blaine isn’t exactly setting records, to say nothing of Silver and Serena’s reliance on him as a partner. While Fire has a metric ton of limited options that are all game shattering, its more accessible options are...notably limited. This would be a good time to bring in Malva, though. That said...there’s basically no Champion that can fill this, and I cannot imagine them making a Flint alt on purpose.

WATER Siebold, Barry, Wake, Kris, SS Grimsley, May, Nessa, Wallace, SS Misty, Lodge Rosa, Lodge May, and Lodge Silver. We are literally drowning in Water-type offense. This doesn’t even cover Cyrus. This would be outrageously reasonable, and would instantly connect to Champion Wallace with literally anything. Though Cynthia also has Milotic, which is worth noting. Also Siebold exists, but doubtful.

ELECTRIC Surge, Hau, Sophocles, Elesa, Volkner, Clemont, and BP Sophocles. To get straight to the point, Electric-types kinda suck. Elesa’s expansion is good, and BP Sophocles can do okay, but the rest are hilariously poor damage dealers. Even expanding to premium, it’s like...okay, N is solid but super reliant on support without 5/5, Marnie’s good, and SST Red and Ash obliterate stages. But...yeah. It’s not the cleanest. And correct me if I’m wrong. But is there not a single Electric type in any champion battle? Or E4 that I can immediately think of. There’s no electric-type master in the E4. I am...actually not sure of anything now. This is so weird...

ICE Okay, no. I can’t even pretend. Ghetsis and Candice are good but have their own issues, and Hala at EX can clear a CS stage. But no. Absolutely not. Pryce and Lorelei are jokes, Brycen cannot do damage, and BP Candice is hilariously bad. Even expanding you’ve got like, what, Summer Steven who’s inconsistent, Winter Nessa whose sync is worse than Candice, Winter Leon who’s good, and SS N who has the two-turn move and is fairly risky. I dunno, man. I can’t see it. But on the flip side. Lorelei and Glacia potentially getting alts would be great.

BUG Lusamine, Viola, Bugsy, Noland, Burgh, Guzma. To be blunt. Not great. Guzma’s bad, Bugsy needs a lot of support, Noland is slow as hell, Viola needs a lot of support, Lusamine’s too frail, and Burgh is kinda awkward too. Even with premium, it’s like...hope you pulled SC Train Bros! I could see them doing a rerun with Bug just to drum up sales. That said, Aaron or Alder alts. I...don’t think DeNA has confidence in them.

POISON You cannot possibly think the type with only ten sync pairs is doable. You cannot possibly. Unless this mode is surprisingly easy, to the point the F2P units like base Janine and Lucy can serve as damage dealers, there aren’t even enough options. Though if an E4 member gets it, Koga alt.

ROCK Technically, there are enough Rock types. Brock, SS Brock, Olivia, Roark, Grant, Kukui, Gordie. But man, no. Brock, SS Brock, and Grant are terrible. Kukui’s not much of a damage dealer. Gordie’s good but takes a bit. Olivia’s only good at EX. Roark fucks, though. I just don’t see it. Though it could be Diantha and Aurorus, or an Olivia alt. I’m okay skipping this.

GROUND Worse than Poison. Hapu, Clay, Courtney, Bertha, and Naomi. Naomi’s limited time. Clay and Hapu are atrocious. Even with preomium you only add SS Giovanni, Cynthia, and Maxie. This does not feel viable. But man, I’d kill for a Bertha alt.

STEEL Solgaleo, Molayne, Wikstrom, Thorton, Jasmine if you’re being cheeky, and Alolan Grimsley. At least premium works, with Raihan and Gloria being pretty solid EX options, and Steven’s grid expansion happening. P!Marnie is also really good on her own. But the F2P angle will struggle like crazy. Under ordinary circumstances, I’d say Steven and Mega Aggron. But he’s getting two alts. And as funny as making it three and hitting seven before anyone else hits six would be. I doubt it. Could be Wikstrom but I’m not counting on it, especially after Shauna stole Booboo Keys.

FLYING Blue, Winona, Kahili, Nate, Darach, Lodge Serena. Not a ton of options. Premium adds Lysandre, Anni Steven, NY!Lance, Anni Skyla, and SS Ethan. So there are options. This would also be the best way to tie in a Lance alt, if they’re going to, since he’s actually a flying-type master. But I’d personally want Kahili. Though admittedly, I’m torn. I want her with Oricorio, who would go the Dawn route of being a different type, and that wouldn’t mesh here. Wait. Wait wait wait, Baile Oricorio could fit under Fire, hold up.

FIGHTING Wally, Bruno, Korrina, Brawly, Marshal, Bea. That’s not too bad. Premium opsn SC Guzma, SC Diantha, and C!Hop. I’d say it’s a solid maybe? Bruno or Marshal alts could definitely happen. I wouldn’t mind either, really. If Marshal, Mienshao maybe. If Bruno, Hitmonchan would be nice.

PSYCHIC Okay, you all know what’s coming, but please hold your criticisms to the end. I actually don’t think Psychic would be a nice one to do for F2P. Oak isn’t great, Caitlin has no grid expansion and is pretty bad, Calem’s bad, Tate’s pretty bad, Will’s not great, Bianca’s fairly poor as a sync nuke. Giovanni and Lucian, however, are fantastic. So that’s two actually good options surrounded by mediocrity. Much like Fire, only worse, Psychic type is mostly premium options. SS Lusamine, SS May, SS Steven, Lear. All the really good ones are premium. Which, I think, could be what they aim for. You want it to be possible for F2P to keep your general reputation of accessibility, but make it challenging so people get the message: you want as many of each given type as possible. Psychic would be a good one to go to, because I can vouch for Caitlin, and plenty of showcases have vouched for Will and Bianca. It’s doable. It’s just rough. And if they add a new sync pair as incentive, the options are few and far between. Steven’s accounted for, so it can’t be him and Claydol. Diantha already has her Gardevoir. Wallace and Cynthia don’t have Psychic-types. Which means it would have to be a specialist. Will, Lucian, and Caitlin. And ask yourselves: which of those three is most likely to be used to generate profit for a new mode? This is my only hope...

GHOST A few months ago, I feel like Ghost would’ve been impossible. But man, Shauntal grid? Agatha grid? Fantina expansion? Even Naomi’s pretty good. Morty and Allister aren’t too bad. Ghost would be entirely possible. You even have premium like Anni Lillie, Renegade Cynthia, NY!Dawn, H!Morty, and SS Korrina. Plus, if it is a Cynthia alt? Spiritomb feels like a popular demand, and we just got C!Marnie who dominates Dark type. It would track. But I also really want a Shauntal alt, and I’d love it if she got Cofagrigus.

DARK Given C!Marnie, I can’t imagine they try to drum up hype with a Dark type, but let’s play pretend. Karen, Nanu, Grimsley, Sidney, Masked Royal, BP Karen. Premium adds H!Hilbert, SS Cyrus, Summer N, and C!Marnie. The F2P isn’t even bad. Cynthia and Spiritomb noted again, but Sidney, Karen, and Grimsley alts would all be on the table. Well...maybe not Sidney. Karen stands some chance. Grimsley’s most likely but I’ll be mad if he hits 4 before Caitlin hits 3.

DRAGON “What if it’s Lance?” Yeah, I guess. Anyway. Iris, Clair, BP Zinnia, Lisia, Cyrus, Zinniquaza. This is actually not a great spread for F2P. C!Iris, Lance, SS Serena, Anni Raihan, SS Cynthia, and Lucas are pretty great though. It’s possible, and we get plenty of dragon options. Lance is the obvious one, though there’s Drake, and this would be a nice time to add Drasna to the general pool. Or Diantha and Goodra, I suppose. Oh. Or Leon, actually, now that I think about it. Dragapult. That one’s pretty obvious, and it’s been a long time since Leon. But they also just did a huge wave of Galar, so I’m not expecting it.

FAIRY Valerie, Mina, Sycamore, Lodge Lillie. We don’t even have five options. Premium also is a mixed back. P!Serena, Diantha, SS Wally, Bede, and NY!Lisia are good, but P!Dawn is...fairly lacking, and Summer Lyra’s just bad. This one could be rough. I also...can’t think of anyone who functions with Fairy? Cynthia and Togekiss? Give it Dynamax like the anime, I guess? I dunno.

Final Thoughts I think the most sense goes to something that’s completely possible for F2P, but poses enough of a challenge that premium options would be preferred, to generate hype around a new scoutable sync pair. Water and Grass actually feel over-prepared, it might be too easy to win the first round with one of those types. Fairy, Poison, Ice, and technically Ground don’t even have enough options, while things like Steel, Dark, Fighting, Rock, and Bug feel like they’re reliant too much on 5* options to get to just five options. Fire, Electric, Flying, Psychic, Ghost, and Dragon are all possibilities that have enough options to work with on an F2P budget without over-emphasis on 5*s. Though despite having few units, I’d argue Ghost is like stupid good now. Of them, obviously I’m hoping for Psychic. Because Caitlin alt. But those seem likely. So...

If Fire, hoping for Baile Oricorio Kahili.

If Electric, I literally cannot think of a reasonable possibility, surprise me.

If Flying, I’d hope for Kahili with something, but am willing to say give it to Lance if you want.

If Psychic, Caitlin and Gothitelle please for the love of god.

If Ghost, it’s likely Cynthia and Spiritomb, but Shauntal and Cofagrigus would be great.

If Dragon, fuck it give Leon Dragapult, he’s earned it.

I was looking at some of your asks and I noticed how someone make a few Twisted Wonderland x Pokemon crossovers. Can I get your opinion on what type gym leader each of the dorm leaders may be, and what their gyms might look like? Similar to how that one ask suggested that Riddle could be a fire type with a rose and card themed gym. Thank you!!

Sure! I hope you don’t mind, but I decided to do both what I think the housewarden’s gyms would be, as well as making them full pokemon teams (which don’t necessarily follow the typing I assigned them, and are chosen based on personality, backstory, etc)

Here’s the ask which anon is referencing, and which I referenced for my answers! And I drew some inspiration for the second years from this post here!

Riddle Rosehearts

First off, as already mentioned in the ask, Riddle would have a rose and card themed gym, and the primary type he would use would be fire (his duo magic type is fire for his ssr, he gets angry easily, etc)! There’s no puzzles, and it’s relatively straight forward: beat all the trainers (ace, deuce, trey, cater) to reach the gym leader!

But disregarding his status as the first gym leader who only uses fire types, Riddle would use Roserade, Polteageist, Alcremie, Rapidash, Vespiquen and Hatenna.

Leona Kingscholar

Leona would have a gym that looks like the magishift stadium, complete with the members of Savanaclaw and other civilians in the bleachers cheering as they watch pokemon battles. It’s treated like a spectator sport (similar to pokemon sword and shield) and you fight in a tournament style bracket until you reach Leona! The decor is all wilderness themed. He would use dark and ground types!

Azul Ashengrotto

Azul would have a cafe themed gym with an underwater theme/decor, probably with jazzy music playing. You would sit down at a table and “order” different pokemon battles until you reach the gym leader, Azul! Obviously the pokemon type he would use are water types.

His team would be Milotic, Octillary, Phione, Reuniclus, Hisuian Zoroark, and Kecleon.

Kalim Al-Asim

Kalim would have a very colorful and luxurious gym, with rare jewels piled carelessly in the corners, and a glass ceiling open to the bright sun. You’re invited to a party at this gym, where you have to show off your pokemon battling skills to entertain the guests before you face Kalim! I think he’d use psychic types (to reflect Scarabia being known for mindfulness).

His team would be Oshawott, Blissey, Meloetta, Togekiss, Alolan Raichu and Plusle!

Vil Schoenheit

Vil would have a beautiful gym, of course. Elegant, with tasteful purple decorations that he painstakingly prepared. You’re expected to uphold yourself with the highest class here, and the battles are set on a runway stage as you slowly work your way to the end, where Vil is (think elesa’s black 2 and white 2 gym)! He would use poison types.

His pokemon team would be: Salazzle, Gardevoir, Tsareena, Lopunny, Medicham and Purugly.

Idia Shroud

Idia’s gym is all high tech and cold metal, with wires running everywhere, like you’ve stepped into a mad scientist’s laboratory. You have to answer riddles to proceed, and if you get them wrong, you’ll face a gym trainer! Idia primarily uses electric and steel types, with one ghost type thrown in…

His team would be Rotom, Magnezone, Porygon-Z, Kinklang, Genesect, and Castform.

Malleus Draconia

Malleus’s gym looks imposing, and rumors are that people rarely make it past him. It looks like a crumbling castle with vines and flowers clinging to the sides, and once you’re in, you’re expected to make your way through a hedge maze to reach Malleus. Take a wrong turn and you might run into a trainer! He would use fairy and dragon types.

Malleus’s team would be Clefable, Garchomp, Spiritomb, Snorlax, Tyrantrum, and Rayquaza.

Guys, it's May

So I decided to remake the mermaid/merman drawing I did before because the old one sucks. And also because it’s “mermay” and stuff. And I thought it would be funny if I based the mermaids off of Pokemons and if I rambled on about unimportant things about mermaid people. Which you can read below this.

Sordward: Wishiwashi (to completely level with you, I was going to either pick Wishiwashi or Dragonair, but I think Dragonair is more of a snake, so… I don’t know? I just gave him the Dragonair’s horn and the orb thing, for reasons below this)

Shielbert: Seaking

Emmet: Eelektross

Ingo: Shiny Gyarados (… don’t know why I made it a shiny, but here we are)

Elesa: Milotic (I know an electric Pokemon would’ve worked, but I already gave Emmet Eelektross, plus, I think the whole “shining beauty” and Miltoic being one of the most beautiful Pokemons works okay together-)

So here’s the thing, Sordward and Shielbert just kinda sucks when it comes to existing. Like, they get stuck in nets or between rocks, captured by people, or get beached. Just anything you can imagine.

They only managed to survive this long because they have each other’s backs. Like, if one of them is in trouble, the other one WILL either rescue them or get in trouble as well. The rest is a matter of luck.

And for Sordward. While it’s a bit similar to the counterpart of Wishiwashi; very weak on his own and cries (whenever his younger brother gets hurt or emotions get too intense, specifically). He’s not shy, introverted, or a crybaby. Bitch personality is still the same.

But like, even if he’s weak on his own, do NOT mess with him or his younger brother. He can absolutely annihilate anyone with that Wishiwashi school form.

Like, the orbs on his body, right? That’s kinda how he gets the school form from, because no one else is willing to put up with him. The powerful orbs react based on his emotions and then he does the magical girl transformation thing, so yeah-

He got the orbs by stealing it from actual Dragonairs, and the horn. He stole the orbs because he just found it… well, alluring. And the horn to match his Younger Brother’s one. He was a bit self-conscious for not having one-

Shielbert is very close friends with a Vaporeon, a Dewgong and a Buizel. Despite both Dewgong and Buizel not being in Galar, he just manages to find them both wandering around. He's very weak too, but he still tries to protect those he cares about-

Emmet is the only one with sharp teeth. Well, they’re not THAT sharp. He’s not able to cut through things unless he actually tries to do so. Same goes for the claws.

My man Emmet is like, an actual electrical hazard. Being an electric type eel in the water. Using his full on electric powers will probably kill everyone that lives in the sea. Or like, a sea creature even touching him- (unless they’re also electric type)

… I mean, if a person were to touch him, it’ll only give a little shock. Nothing too drastic. But like, his hands are the worst place to touch. You’ll actually perish because that’s where the electric thing generates from-

Emmet also prefers to live in the darkness, or just, very far from the surface because the light up there sucks ass. It’s NOT because he’s an electrical hazard (he couldn’t really care about that), he just legit prefers to live in darkness.

And plus, his electric bullshit can light up the way, so it’s a good thing for him. And he lives with other Tynamos, because they treat him as his dad-

… He also lives in the dark abyss because you can find a lot of weird stuff down there that people dropped. Like that bag he carries, he found it there and keeps it for carrying things.

Ingo is like, a very tall and big fish person. And very intimidating, too. Well, when glancing at him, anyway. In reality, he’s just the same man as you know him to be; a bit goofy, much like Emmet.

And like, he’s a bit shy about how tall and big he is. Since it’s a bit awkward when he tries to talk to other people… At least getting rid of selfish people isn’t a problem if he’s very tall and powerful.

But you know, just because he’s tall and strong doesn’t mean he’s like, “the king of the sea”. Not at all. He’s just a generic guy that helps those who need his guidance to go places. And Emmet sort of does the same thing. Well, guiding those away from the darkness since normally people don’t go in the deep dark abyss.

… Elesa doesn’t do much. I mean, “the shining beauty”, right? She just does whatever she does originally. She can also sing pretty well... She’s very strong too. Could absolutely beat the shit out of anyone.

I mean… She does visit Emmet and Ingo because they’re friends. Maybe Ingo more since Emmet just lives in the darkness. But like, best friends for life- (she’s very close with the Tynamos too-)

So yeah, everyone has a way to defend themselves besides Shielbert. But like still, Shielbert has Sordward being very protective of him, so… you can’t exactly mess with him-

Couple notes about kiki:

She & Elesa haaaate hate each other but they’re also like. normal people ? if elesa was dying, kiki wouldn’t just LEAVE her there. & vice versa. they would also never do anything to mess up the other’s career. like those two are off limits. pokemon battles are totally on the table tho. when the battle was on elesa’s stage, they’d kinda try to one up each other both model style AND battle style. its kinda hyped up by the crowd too lol

kiki is WAY more obvious about how much she hates elesa in public. elesa is a lot higher of a priority when it comes to reporters so if she SHOWED that she hated someone. like rivalry type hate. they would jump on it so fast & it would just suck for her

kiki & elesa were ALMOST rivals. which was just very funny bc like they lived near each other but elesa started her journey before kiki did by like 2 weeks and kiki didnt find her until they both took up modelling @ the same agency. it was a whole thing lol

kiki is pretty short but she wears high heels when she knows shes gonna see elsea bc elesa prefers flats. so theyre a lot closer to the same height under those circumstances. most photoshoots with them together much prefer to have the height difference pretty obvious though.

kiki has a klefki, milotic, primarina, & mawile. ppl often assume shes just using the pretty ones bc they most often see the milotic & primarina but. well. u know how milotic evolve

1. phoebe&dusclops, skyla&swanna, n&zekrom (or any good physical attack striker really but this works best with N as he's both a rly good dps and really squishy. he can dish it out but can't take it. thats why these lesbians are protecting him)

2. sygna suit elesa&rotom, viola&masquerain, alder&volcarona (a.k.a. good luck landing any hits also im firing a ton of sync moves and hyper beams in your direction also youre trapped also your special attacks cant do shit)

3. lillie&clefairy, drake&salamence, zinnia&rayquaza (swapping out zinnia for cyrus if im fighting lance and he puts a special shield on so i gotta land critical hits)

4. misty&starmie, wallace&milotic, kris&feraligatr (after the enemies hp is halved kris can sit down and take a breather and now it is wallace's turn to destroy them completely)

5. dawn&torterra, cheren&stoutland, gardenia&roserade (aka good luck doing any damage to us also im healing after every attack)

summary: Some BNHA students and their Pokemon team and status if they were in that world. (part one, i want to make a mini series out of this so it’s heavily self-indulgent)

most of the bullets will be in relation to the main character izuku because why not

*teams inspired by this because i had trouble figuring out who would fit with who and honestly bakugo’s team looks like him aHA

Main Traveling Group:

Midoriya Izuku

Starting Aventure: bulbasaur, aipom

Completed Team: venusaur, lucario, ambipom, floatzel, butterfree, garchomp

I was gonna say he gives off main character vibes then I remembered he was actually a main character already good job ness

but yes izuku here is on his way to become a pokemon champion!

i’m thinking he’d be pretty well-rounded with his team but his starter is definitely a grass type

his pokemon are so concerned whenever they go check out some cave or ancient ruin

izuku’s like “let’s explore!”

and his pokemon look at each other and then at him like “but please don’t try to move and jump on stuff alone pLeAsE bE cAREFUL”

they have venusaur keep him in vines sometimes

literally everyone loves him (all the gym leaders, all the recovery girls, etc.)

he manages to have todoroki and shinsou as travel buddies like how

they’re all like “i didn’t start training to make friends” and boom they’re a close knit group

very very ambitious and headstrong in his goals

he did get noticed by the champion after all *cough* all might *cough*

Todoroki Shouto

Starting Adventure: eevee, eevee, milotic

Completed Team: glaceon, flareon, ninetails, alolan ninetails, milotic, volcarona

he’s izuku’s first travelling companion

his father wanted him to become the strongest trainer to carry on his family tradition but he just wanted to see the rest of the world, considering he’s been couped up training for most of his life

he was sent off on his own trainer journey and was unknowledgeable about a lot of real world things

when he met izuku, he was cold towards him but warmed up after seeing how dedicated and kind the other was to pokemon and people alike

“it’s your destiny, todoroki!” ahaha get it

like i said, everyone loves izuku even shouto

todo is cold to strangers but is kind to them after becoming friends

trainers like battling with him because he’s offers their pokemon the eXPENSIVE full restores after battle

and their pokemon swoon over how nice and pretty he is while he tends to their wounds

speaking of pokemon, his are hot and cold as expected

sometimes they clash but he’s always there to be the mediator

he’s unfamiliar with “common” things because he grew up in a closed off environment

likes travelling around, experiencing new things and meeting new people along the way

Shinsou Hitoshi

Starting Adventure: gengar, purrloin

Team: gengar, liepard, espeon, skitty, weaville, crobat, meinshao

the people around him, mainly his classmates, were afraid of him because of the pokemon he attracts

he also had gengar since he was young, the pokemon being a gift from his parents

every time he tries to make friends they run off because his pokemon’s looks make the other ppl scared

that’s why he now rejects anyone trying to get close to him because the last time it happened they just used him

he couldn’t reject izuku though aha so yeah he’s part of the group now

he is a pretty laidback trainer and is more focused on techniques rather than pure strength

mentor aizawa

took shinsou under his wing when he was young and shinsou always calls him for guidance or just for a chat

has a weakness for cat-like pokemon

the main reason he actually joined izuku’s group is because the green haired male saved a skitty

she’s is the newest addition to his team and he loves her aww

he’s the voice of reason for the group but sometimes he just holds back when he wants something interesting to start especially when bakugo challenges izuku or todoroki to a battle

Challengers & Rivals:

Bakugou Katsuki

Starting Adventure: cyndaquil

Completed Team: typhlosion, electrode, magmortor, arcanine, houndoom, primeape

all pokemon stories have rivals okay bakugou is pERFECT for this

he and izuku met when they were little and because he was more into battling and training, he got annoyed when izuku was recognized by the champion

all his pokemon are as fiery as he is aHA

they love training and can keep up with their trainer’s outbursts and all that we love supportive teammates

he scares every single person he goes up against EXCEPT for izuku & co.

todoroki 's unbothered, shinsou calls bluff on his intimidation, and izuku sees him as a role model as well as rival

gets really annoyed with the trio because he just can’t fULLY beat them

the win ratios are pretty even but this boy wants to win all of his battles with a large power gap because that’s how he rolls

he LOVES using power and intimidation when battling and it’s actually pretty cool to watch his matches

they always have some type of flare to them and never get boring

overall, he’s a strong and resilient trainer who worked hard to get to the top

Kirishima Ejirou

Position: Fighting-Type Gym Leader

Team: blaziken, infernape, hariyama, machamp, medicham, hitmonchan

i’ll just make all their ages ambiguious k thanks

i feel like he’d be a really good gym leader

he’s so uplifting and motivational, it doesn’t affect the self-esteem of anyone who loses to him because he’s there complimenting their strengths and giving them pointers on what they and their team can work better on

man i wish he was in game now he’d be my favorite

he kind of reminds me of island kahuna hala in a way

trains with bakugo a lot because, though the blond won’t admit it, he actually likes training with him kiribaku

when he meets the main group, they all lost their first battle with him because this guy just knows

he’s so in-tune with his pokemon, all that strength and in their bond is so strong

after giving them their fair share of praise and advice, their second battles were won and they received their fighting badges :)

Kaminari Denki

Position: that pikachu guy Electric-Type Gym Leader

Team: pikachu (ik ik but it fits ok), girafig, ampharos, plusle, minun

so hype much wow very exciting

every single battle he does is so flashy with all these effects and whatnot but it fits his aesthetic

think nimbasa city and the runway elesa has before she battles someone

that’s all him

now, his team isn’t really built on defense but they do have a lot of special power, mostly seen in their use of thunderbolt they all know how to use thunderbolt what the heck denki

at one point in his life he thought about owning a farm where pikachu could hang out

he just really likes pikachus and everywhere there’s one they follow him because he looks like them

he’s kind of more bark than bite and might accidentally electrocute himself during battle

concerned izuku when he walked right into a thunderbolt

todoroki was about to ask if he wanted a full restore before the boy realized that it was only for pokemon

he’s in it for the fun of the battle and doesn’t really care if he loses or not unless the trainers are all talk much like he is but ily denki

Iida Tenya

Positon: that trainer they meet on a mountain i’m sorry iida

Team: skamory, straptor, bisharp, gallade

he reminds me of all the trainers that stand there and are like “LeT’s BaTtLe” when you walk in their line of vision

much love iida but that’s who you remind me of haha

he’s the guy that goes by the rules ofc and is a v good sport after losing a battle

when he encounters the main group, he’s training with his pokemon

they were building up and reinforcing their speed and he saw this as a perfect opportunity to learn by battle new people

lost to all three of them

but as mentioned he’s a good sport and the four of them set up camp for the night on the mountain and talk about strtegies and the like

when they part ways he’s telling them that he’ll see them and battle them again

guy wasn’t kidding they fought him like fifteen times total during their journey

i chose his pokemon based on how they look in comparison to him and laughed when i realized there was gallade

because you know gallade’s arms are like blades it reminds me of how iida does that hand thing

it was funnier in my head

Uraraka Ochaco

Position: works at the Pokemon Center, training buddies with the main travelling group

Team: gardevoir, togekiss, musharna, clefairy, jigglypuff

she works at the pokemon center for recovery girl

pink is all i see and it fits her aesthetic really

that rhymed

anyways she is super super sweet and loves working at the center, all the people who come in enjoy seeing her

she actually sees the main trio a lot b/c they and their pokemon do a lot of stuff and end up injured

izuku went to the pokemon center five times in a day and his pokemon weren’t even hurt it was jUST hIM

after that she insisted on coming with them to get some experience outside of the building as well as make sure that they mostly izuku and their pokemon would be alright

half of her pokemon are mature and very, what’s the word, elegant (gardevoir and musharna) and the others are playful yet competitive (togekiss, jigglypuff, & clefairy)

her pokemon know the moves that have to do with teleportation and flying/floating and they enjoy using it even when their trainer is gets motion sickness easily

overall, she joins the group when she can/sees them and they are gratefull to hang out with her

Oh this is fun to think about~! Well let’s start with Coordinators.

Yuuki would know about Diantha - I mean she is the Champion and Grand Dutchess in the Kalos region. So even if she never meets her, I believe Yuuki would know of her. She may meet her in any contest in Kalos, closer to the Grand Festival, as a judge or something.

Fantina is another one she would know because she is a member of the Ribbon Society. So meeting Fantina would be a dream come true for her.

Wallace is probably her idol? Well him and his niece Lisia. I think that Yuuki would have posters of the two of them, and strive to be like them. More so Lisia than Wallace, Yuuki would die to meet them. Literally, she would faint.

Getting to face any of them in a contest would really mean a lot to her. Being able to match her Brionne against any of their partners would be amazing. I imagine a really cool fight would be Wallace’s Milotic against like a newly evolved Primarina. Then maybe Tsareena would be against Diantha’s Gardevoir or their Gourgeist against one another, Gothitelle or Wigglytuff against Fantina’s Gengar. With Lisia I think that Mega Altaria vs Alola Ninetails would look so pretty!

But yeah those are the other Coordinators I think Yuuki would really care about.

As far as other people around the Pokemon World these are who I think Yuuki would notice or hang out with.

While traveling I think she would run into Shauna and become quick friends. The two of them have very similar personalities and I think they would just sit around talking about how cute their pokemon are, and how their journeys are going.

How could you go to Kalos and not talk about Valerie! I do not think they would ever meet, since Yuuki does not do gyms, but Shauna would totally turn her on to this fashionable girl. Yuuki would be a fan of her, and would go to her gym to watchbattles, but not actually battle her.

Similar to Valerie - Elesa would be another gym leader that Yuuki admires. Since you and I talked about this all ready~ I think that having Yuuki come from Elesa’s town, Nimbasa City, would be a great place for her to know Elesa from - and get inspired to go into contest based on a love for her.

Ilima is so precious - just putting that out there. I think that if she ever went to visit Alola, to learn more about Popplio and Vulpix, she would meet him. They would become friends just because of his energy. Yuuki would feel like he is so smart and would take his advise to heart.

N… N is special. I believe that if Yuuki meets with N, she would grow so much as a Coordinator. I do not believe that she would do as the PC in the games, and go on this big adventure to help N, but I do think their paths could cross again and again. Yuuki would want to prove to N that Humans and Pokemon can understand one another. Even if there are those who hurt Pokemon, Yuuki will do her part to set it right.

All and all, Shauna and Iliam would be her friends whom she calls and text through out her journey. Elesa and Valerie would be two Gym Leaders who portray the kind of stage presence Yuuki would hope to have. And N is someone whom she wants to better help and understand humans and Pokemon with.

Here’s my opinons on what each generation of Pokemon excels at. Note this is my peersonal opinion, not the definitive true answer:

Gen II inarguably has the best postgame in the series, as it is the entire eKanto region which culminates in an epic confrontation with Red atop Mt. Silver. Red is also the best bonus boss in the series, seeing as he’s, well, Red.

Gen III has my favorite region, Hoenn, and probably my favorite Pokedex as well. Almost every new Pokemon is awesome, the legendaries are great, and three of my all-time favs are there with Gardevoir, Milotic, and Absol. It also had the best postgame battle area with the Battle Frontier being superior to all the knockoffs that came after it. It also has the most improved remake, because while HGSS are arguably the best Pokemon games that’s mostly quality-of-life and generational polish updates; FRLG are how one should truly experience Kanto.

Gen IV has the best gameplay, s ince it updated the moves by introducing the physical-special split, which made so many Pokemon viable for the first time, particularly Dark-types. It also has easily the best evolutions, with all of the new Sinnoh evos of old Pokemon standing out, Roserade, Glaceon, Sylveon, Magnezone, and Yanmega being standout examples. It also has the best third version in the series, with Platinum being a wonderful upgrade that improves on DP in almost every way and delivers are more fleshed-out and satisfying story. HGSS are alos likely the best games in the series, being amazing remakes of already amazing games that add in numerous features that do nothing but make the overall journey more fun, such as following Pokemon, fleshed out Rocket admins, and access to the Gen I legendaries.

Gen V has, hands down, the best story of the series. Adding onto that, it also has some of the best characters, with standouts like N, Ghetsis, Elesa, Skyla, Lenora, and Juniper. The fact the story is told over two games makes it even better. It also has the best sidequest in the series with Poketstar Studio, because making my own B-movies is like a dream come true.

Gen VI gave us Mega Evolution, the coolest additional battle feature so far (sorry Z-moves). Considering we also returned to Hoenn in this gen, it stands to reason I’d like it.

Gen VII has a lot of the coolest concepts in the entire series. Ultra Beasts, Ultra Space, Necrozma, the island trials... and that’s not getting into the trial captains and island leaders, who are all incredibly memorable and some of the best gym leader figures. Add on Team Skull and Guzma, easily the best antagonist teams, and this is a worthy generation for sure.
